<text>Unconscious thoughts more than often are seen to precede conscious contemplations of the surroundings. The Present chapter attempts to explore how subliminal priming of known and unknown human faces could impact product selection and decision-making time of consumers. 2 (Known face X Unknown face) X 2 (Product selection X Decision-making time) within-subject design was used for the study. A stimulus-priming experiment designed in E-prime software was used to subliminally expose the participants to both known and unknown human faces They were then asked to select a product that they were willing to buy from an option of four products, of which one of the products was primed along with Human face (Known Vs Unknown). The product selection rates as well as the time taken to select the product were recorded. A total of 100 Participants falling in the age category of young adults (18-39) took part in the study. The chapter discusses the results and dives deeper into the implications that they hold in the world of marketing. 2024, IGI Global. All rights reserved.</text>

<text>Students develop skills, gain knowledge, and achieve greater wellbeing by creating a positive school environment. Through the years, schools have realized the importance of mental health services for adolescents. Research on the role of schools in mental health awareness building and preventing mental health problems is meager, and focuses on students in the western context. This chapter focuses on the recommendations given by teachers on what role schools can play in identifying, preventing, and building awareness among adolescents. These recommendations are based on the themes obtained through semi-structured interviews with 24 teachers teaching 10th, 11th, and 12th graders in private high schools and colleges in Bangalore. Consequently, it aims to provide an overview of incorporating techniques and strategies to enhance mental health among school students in the Indian Scenario. 2024, IGI Global. <text>In recent years, Cloud Computing is emerging as a torrid research area for both academicians and industrialists. It provides effective ways to handle and store the data in advanced system processing applications. Furthermore, it also leverages a radical change in the way the users access and use the available resources. Despite the hype, it also has the challenge of slow data transition from present physical storage to the cloud based platform. This is mainly due to the security challenges associated with the Cloud Computing applications. Hence, data protection has become very critical and always requires an efficient and effective security protocol into the existence. So, the security and reliability of the cloud platform would definitely attract more researchers to this platform. This article discusses an overview of Cloud paradigm and the different virtualization techniques adopted to overcome the security issues associated with the cloud computing platform. <text>Most of the data generated from social media, Internet of Things, etc. are semi-structured or unstructured. XML is a leading semi-structured data commonly used over cross-platforms. XML clustering is an active research area. Because of the complexity of XML clustering, it remains a challenging area in data analytics, especially when Big Data is considered. In this paper, we focus on clustering of XML based on structure. A novel method for representing XML documents, Compressed Representation of XML Tree, is proposed following the concept of frequent pattern tree structure. From the proposed structure, clustering is carried out with a new algorithm, TreeXP, which follows the XPattern framework. The performances of the proposed representation and clustering algorithm are compared with a well-established PathXP algorithm and found to give the same performance, but require very less time. <text>Algorithmic trading has ushered paradigm shift in trading. The market regulators although welcome this new technological advancement but are still keeping a tight leash. This can be owing to the contradicting and inconclusive evidence of its implications and impact on market microstructure. This study focuses on liquidity which is an integral part of a thriving stock market. We aim to examine if there is a statistical significance between volume of algorithmic orders and market capitalization. The liquidity provision is measured using Amihuds Illiquidity measure which is a proxy for measuring illiquidity. The liquidity measure is examined for chosen 8 stocks based on their market capitalization. The volume of algorithmic orders is examined using the Limit Order Book (LOB) data obtained from the BSE and orders for 23 trading days have been considered. We observe that large capitalization stocks display higher liquidity and algorithmic traders are able to contribute significantly to liquidity when compared to non-algorithmic traders. It was also looked at if there was a big difference in the amount of algorithmic trading done on stocks with big and small capitalization. <text>During the past six decades, there has been a lot of emphasis on increasing production and fulfilling the demands of the fast-growing population. As a result, there has been unprecedented utilization and depletion of natural resources and harm to the environment. It was rightly realized by government and policymakers that there is an indispensable need to align economic development with the environment. In other words, the world needs to pursue environmentally friendly economic development. In order to achieve sustainable development, the thought leaders devised a new approach called circular economy. The circular economy focuses on reusing and recycling materials to reduce the consumption of natural resources and minimize waste creation. In recent years, financial technology commonly known as FinTech has become a significant part of commercial activities across many industries. FinTech has benefited organizations and users in terms of cost and time saving with a high degree of reliability. This article outlines the ways in which FinTech supports the cause of a circular economy. It also explores the impediments in this path. 2024 Scrivener Publishing LLC.</text>

<text>In todays fast-paced workplaces, where technology is evolving at a dizzying rate, professionals face a myriad of problems. Their inability to strike a healthy work-life balance may lead to feelings of dissatisfaction with their job. Consequently, in order to achieve flexible, long-term growth and job happiness, businesses should support their employees good psychological development. Primary data was acquired from employees in the automotive manufacturing company, totalling 95 individuals, using standardized questionnaires that had a good level of reliability and validity. The results indicated that there is no significant effect of work experience on the psychological capital of employees (F = 1.21; p < 0.30) and their job satisfaction (F = 0.35; p < 0.70). The major findings indicate that regardless of an employees level of experience, there is no substantial variation in the psychological capital and job satisfaction of the employees. This variation may also arise because of other specific factors. 2024 selection and editorial matter, Dr. Sundeep Katevarapu, Dr. Anand Pratap Singh, Dr. Priyanka Tiwari, Ms. Akriti Varshney, Ms. Priya Lanka, Ms. Aankur Pradhan, Dr. Neeraj Panwar, Dr. Kumud Sapru Wangnue; individual chapters, the contributors.</text>

<text>The widespread use of crowdsourcing strategies in higher education institutions improves the performance of students by using collective initiatives to enhance the skills of each student, efficiently optimizes the lecturing process by exchanging and pooling research materials, and also improves the financial situation of alumni by encouraging crowdfunding of tuition. We identify four main areas in this study where the use of crowdsourcing strategies plays an important role in the success of alumni in institutions of higher education. The proposed crowd teaching approach optimizes lecturing, allowing lecture notes to be shared and exchanged according to the various curricula of Higher Education Studies. With crowd learning, students learn by execution on collaborative projects in which different students share (effectively) teaching each other under the guidance of the lecturer, learn the necessary skills to achieve the projects goals and solve the proposed issue. In relation to accessing funding, the tuition fees of students can be financed by crowdsourcing approaches through crowd tuition and even crowdfunding can be used to procure laboratory and classroom content or the learning stays of students abroad. Using this crowdsourcing tool, students can find assistance in paying university taxes and also have an interest in further learning with other students. The application of crowdsourcing to education allows for optimization of the institutions budget and a more effective use of learning time, leading eventually to better outcomes for students. 2021, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.</text>

<text>Yoga, an ancient practise of humankind, attempts to promote a lifestyle that is free of maliciousness with emphasis on inculcating qualities that would aid the individual in living a life that is truly actualizing. Practise of yoga is not limited to holding specific asanas but various components of yoga such as pranayama, pratyahara, etc.; all attempt to enhance an individual's wellbeing. The chapter has contextualized yoga therapy including pranayama, mudras, and chakras to biopsychosocial models, and attempted to identify yogic practises that bring holistic enhancement. Yoga, being cost-effective, and having no side effects, unlike pharmacological treatments, can be used as an adjunctive therapeutic agent in improving symptoms or improving mood and reducing stress. However, it is important to note the feasibility and limitations of yoga interventions, like proper trained professionals to minimize any ill effects. The chapter attempted to promote the practise of yoga as an adjunctive form of treatment which would thereby aid in improving biopsychosocial wellbeing. 2024, IGI Global. All rights reserved.</text>

<text>Pathogenic bacterial detection is a significant concern for the well-being of all human beings. These tiny microbes are capable of causing numerous diseases, which can be nipped in the bud through proper monitoring and controlling at the early stages itself. Some common pathogenic bacteria include Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Bacillus anthracis, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp., etc. These microbes contaminate air, food, and water through different modes of transmission. The classical methods used for the identification of these bacteria are time-killing and backbreaking. Rapid pathogenic bacteria determination became possible through the intervention of biosensors. Biosensors are further modified with nanoparticles to build nanobiosensors that are tenfold efficient in bacterial detection. The optical and electrochemical nanobiosensors provide hassle-free detection of pathogenic bacteria, and pointof- care detection is also possible. This book chapter aims to give a brief idea about nanobiosensors starting from the principle to the advantages and disadvantages of bacterial detection. Relevant works of literature on different methods to detect bacteria, types of nanobiosensors, and their efficacy in pathogenic bacterial detection portray the current stand and the need for more innovations in the area of nanobiosensors. <text>Today, addressing environmental concerns and reducing carbon emissions has become imperative for every organization. Hence, eliminating the adverse impacts of business operations is no longer limited to large organizations, even small business organizations are taking a proactive approach in this direction. The present study aims to investigate pertinent issues related to the adoption of environmental practices faced by MSMEs in India and how these practices can fulfill the aim of achieving sustainable development goals (SDGs 2030). However, in this chapter, the authors are only going to emphasize the environmental aspect of the sustainability dimensions. Further, this study also identifies the factors that impact the adoption of environmental consideration initiatives among MSMEs in India. The findings of the study offer significant contributions to the research related to environmental consideration initiatives of the Indian MSMEs sector. Further, it also highlights the need for mandatory frameworks and guidelines to facilitate the adoption of sustainability practices among MSMEs in India. 2024, IGI Global. <text>Social trading companies must adhere to the concept of social responsibility by engaging in activities that provide benefits to society. Social responsibility in marketing is through providing products and services that help the community environmentally, socially, and economically. Several literatures have discussed the role of social responsibility in customer intentions toward social trading channels. Discussing and describing the role of social responsibility in marketing is an important issue that needs to be investigated. This chapter describes the role of social responsibility in marketing activities. Promotions that raise awareness of societal issues and problems, recyclable packaging, and direct portions of profits toward charitable efforts are critical factors that will be described in this chapter as well. The majority of business companies, however, are still unable to fulfill the finest CSR principles in their marketing activities. Therefore, the focus of this chapter is on the requirements for CSR as well as the deficiencies in corporate organizations marketing operations. Considering the important of social media for communicating CSR is address at the point, where corporations use social media effectively for delivering their CSR goals and initiatives. This chapter is followed by two main questions: how can corporate social responsibility be delivered in marketing? And why do we need to study CSR?. <text>The LGBTQ [Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer] community does not comply with the conventional categorization of gender identity and sexual orientation. While there are laws that provide reservations to transgender employees, the other members of the LGBTQ community still find job security as a significant career threat if the member is open about their respective gender identity or sexual orientation. Individuals who belong to the LGBTQ community are facing several forms of discrimination in the workplace. Obtaining jobs has also become problematic. The study aims to understand the gender binary employees awareness, perspective, and support toward the LGBTQ community. The study is exploratory. The sample consisted of 238 respondents; data was collected from gender-binary employees working in white collared jobs in Bengaluru City. Gender has an impact on the awareness of binary employees regarding the LGBTQ community, sexual orientation, and sexual identity. With inclusion practices, diversity policy, and pride celebration, the world is moving toward an inclusive and welcoming sphere. Still, the absence of awareness and support will hinder the development and welfare of the LGBTQ community. The findings denote the need to increase awareness and broaden the horizon of inclusion practices. Applying inclusion awareness at all employment levels is imperative to create an equity-driven and inclusive workplace.
