A study on nanoliquid flow with irregular heat source and realistic boundary conditions: A modified Buongiorno model for biomedical applications
Titanium dioxide plays a vital role in cancer therapy methods (including photothermal therapy and photodynamic therapy), skincare products, heat exchangers, and car radiators. Therefore, the dynamics of the TiO2 nanomaterial with H2O as basefluid over a nonlinearly stretched surface is investigated. For realistic nanoliquid modeling, the conventional Buongiorno model has been improvised (called modified Buongiorno model [MBM]) by incorporating the effective thermophysical properties of the nanoliquid. Experimentally derived correlations of the thermal conductivity and dynamic viscosity of the nanofluid are utilized. The significance of passive control of nanoparticles is also studied. The heat transfer analysis includes the mechanism of Rosseland heat flux and exponential heat source. Similarity theory is used to obtain nonlinear ordinary differential equations (ODEs) from the governing partial differential equations which are solved numerically using bvp5c, a finite difference-based routine in MATLAB. Further, the heat transfer rate is statistically scrutinized for the consequence of magnetic field (Formula presented.), thermal radiation (Formula presented.) and exponential heat source (Formula presented.) by employing Response Surface Methodology (RSM) and sensitivity analysis. The temperature of nanofluid ascends with the exponential heat source, thermal radiation, and thermophoresis aspects. Furthermore, when the MBM is utilised, the thermal field of the nanofluid is greater than when the classic Buongiorno model is used. The rate of heat transfer correlates positively with radiative heat flux. The exponential heat source exhibits a negative sensitivity towards the rate of heat transfer. 2021 Wiley-VCH GmbH -
A study on optimal portfolio construction with special reference to NSE CNX Nifty pharma index
Portfolio is a process of blending together the broad asset classes so as to obtain optimum return with minimum risk is called portfolio construction. In order to reduce the risk, investors need to diversify, spread their portfolio across a broad mix of assets. Diversifying the portfolio can help smooth out market ups and downs and returns from better performing assets help to offset those that arent performing so well. The present study has empirically examined the portfolio construction with special reference to NSE CNX Nifty Pharma Index. The study applied the Sharpe Single Index model to generate an efficient combination of securities from sample Pharma companies and has come up with a subsequent pattern. The study found that out the sample Pharma companies, Aurobindo Pharma Ltd attracted high risk while Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd experienced the least risk, on the basis of return earned by the companies in the Pharma Index; Aurobindo Pharma Ltd has high return while Lupin Ltd has lowest return. Experimental results have demonstrated the feasible of the investment strategy, portfolio idea and electiveness of the combination assets on the investment strategy. IAEME Publication. -
A Study on Ornated Graphs
In this paper, we introduce the notion of a finite non-simple directed graph called, an ornated graph. An ornated graph is a directed graph on n vertices, denoted by On(sl), whose vertices are consecutively labeled clockwise on the circumference of a circle and constructed from an ordered string sl. Joining vertices is such that for an odd indexed entry at of the string, a tail vertex vi has clockwise heads vj if and only if (i + at) ? j. For an even indexed entry as of the string, a tail vertex vi has anticlockwise heads vj if and only if (i - as) ? j. Some interesting results for certain types of ornated graphs are presented. 2023 World Scientific Publishing Company. -
A study on police personnels perception about causes for stress and frequency of stress occurrence
This paper states that Police Personnels Perception about causes for Occupational stress like organizational context (goals and objectives), organizational structure (size, degree of centralization), organizational processes (leadership style, decision making etc.), nature of work (shifts etc.) and physical environment (employee safety, rewards etc.) constitute the dimensions of the climate. This study is a descriptive one and it reveals the facts which are already exist. This report is about the policeconstables where it is in Tuticorin district, South part of Tamilnadu. Police stress inventory (PSI) used to measure the level ofoccupational stress. Appropriate statistical tool was used for data analysis. According to theresults most of the police constables experienced more stress. Female constables facehigh stress compare with male police constables. This study concludes most of the constables areunder medium level stress group and results shows a significant difference between occupationalstressorganizational context (goals and objectives), organizational structure (size, degree of centralization), organizational processes (leadership style, decision making etc.), nature of work (shifts etc.) and physical environment (employee safety, rewards etc.). 2020 SERSC. -
A study on prediction of health care data using machine learning
Every clinical-decision relies on the doctors experience and knowledge. Perhaps this conventional practice may look appropriate, but it may lead to unpredictable errors, biases, and maximized costs that may affect QoS (Quality-of-Service) given to patients. To help the doctor to save time, the conventional practice to analyze the data for clinical-decision support has to be updated. Machine Learning (ML) and Data Mining (DM) algorithms have applied to have greater and higher predictions. This paper studies a set of ML algorithms by which clinical-predictions are going to be more appropriate and cost-effective. IJSTR 2020. -

A Study on Sense of Community: Case Example of Public Housing Project, Bengaluru, India
Background: In the realm of collective public housing, certain societal segments currently favor low-rise residential blocks due to their affordability and lower number of dwelling units per block, thus affording increased privacy for residents. However, the concept of associating residents benefits with social relationships has yet to garner sufficient attention. Objective: This article seeks to understand and examine the impact of public housing on the sense of community (SOC) within a public housing community. Methods: The study was conducted at the Bangalore Development Author-ity Jnanabharathi Residential Enclave in Kengeri, Bengaluru, Karnataka. This understanding was attained through a comprehensive review of existing literature and an on-site evaluation carried out using questionnaire surveys and photographs for visual interpretations. Findings: The results indicated a relatively deficient sense of ownership within the community. Homeowners exhibited higher levels of community involvement and engagement in various activities compared with tenants. Conclusions: Furthermore, the study recommends that public authorities reevalu-ate their perspectives on public housing developments and develop a policy-orien-ted approach for planning, design, and additional amenities to foster a stronger SOC belonging. 2023 Springer Publishing Company. -

A Study on the Effect of Canny Edge Detection on Downscaled Images
Abstract: Nowadays user devices such as phones, tablets etc. allows processing the images with help of high-end applications and softwares developed. Most of the times, the images are downscaled to make them compatible with these end devices. This leads to the loss of image quality. This loss of information on downscaling an image results in distortion of edges and while zoomed in results into a blurred image. As the edge detection is a basic step for many image processing applications such as object detection, object segmentation, object recognition, etc. It is necessary to know the impact of edge detection on downscaled image. In this paper, we are using Canny Edge detection method to detect the edges. The original images are downscaled using different interpolation methods. Canny Edge detection is applied on original images and downscaled images to compare the distortion in the edges. We used Structural Similarity Index Method for comparison. We are also comparing execution time taken by Canny Edge Detection on different interpolation methods to check for optimal interpolation method. We observed that the distortion in edges and time efficiency differ for different interpolation methods which are detailed below in the result section. As blurring is also a disadvantage of downscaling, we are applying Gaussian Blur on the images to compare the blurring due to Gaussian blur technique and blurring due to downscaling. 2020, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd. -

A study on the factors affecting usage of voice assistants and the interface transition from touch to voice
The interface simplicity has always been one of the most important factors which makes any new technology or device successful. Once an individual gets attached to a particular interface it becomes easy for them to use any devices which follows the same interface pattern. But to adapt to a new interface for the same device or the same need it will take a lot of effort from both the user and the companies which advances those to support each other to make the interface shift happen. The timespan required for this interface shift depends on the mindset of each individual and the simplicity of the proposed interface. Voice Assistants (VA) are an important achievement, which have become an inseparable and integral part of many smart devices. The mobile penetration in India has allowed rapid acceleration among metropolitan Indian adults in the usage of the wearable devices and other such smart technologies. Voice as an interface is going to improve the next generation of social conversation, content searches and medium of commerce. The rapidly increasing competition in this segment has led to several improvements. We already have many such voice-enabled devices that help us to set routines, automate the home appliances and provides us on-demand information. Also, the smart speakers category in Indiagrew 43 per cent in the second quarter of 2018.Many big corporates like Amazon, Apple, Google and Microsoft offers an entire digital platform infrastructure that can be controlled by voice assistants. The future of Voice Assistants depends to a large extent on how natural and fluid the communication with the user can take place. The interface transition from touch to voice has several factors involved in it. This study is majorly to find out what are the major factors which are influencing this transition and how relevant are these identified factors for the transition to happen in Indian market. 2020 SERSC. -
