The orange economy which is also known as the creative economy has been an unrecognized industry though it has been a major contributor to economic growth and development. In this research an introspection has been done on four major economic factors such as: Choice of creativity with available resources, Marketing the good with unique strategies, Supply chain of good and services and tackling the demand fluctuations. These four factors rule the creative economy and hence the interlink between all these factors and its impact on the success of orange economy has been discussed in this research. The data has been collected from 30 small-owned creative business units which are spread across Karnataka. An interview schedule has been conducted with the creative business owners to understand the creative business units and its functionality. The structured interview has three layers which include (layer 1: questions related to creative business, layer 2: impact of Covid-19 pandemic on creative business units and layer 3: questions related to marketing, promotion and sales strategies used by creative business units. All the collected data has been exposed to a manual qualitative content coding to find new variables, new themes, cause, and effect and to construct a new conceptual model. The model has been suggested to the creative business units for active consideration and implementation. If the creative business units make use of the suggested marketing mix and strategies, they will be able to sustain themselves in the post-Covid-19 pandemic. The Author(s) 2023. -
Inhibiting extracellular cathepsin d reduces hepatic steatosis in spraguedawley rats y
Dietary and lifestyle changes are leading to an increased occurrence of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). Using a hyperlipidemic murine model for non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), we have previously demonstrated that the lysosomal protease cathepsin D (CTSD) is involved with lipid dysregulation and inflammation. However, despite identifying CTSD as a major player in NAFLD pathogenesis, the specific role of extracellular CTSD in NAFLD has not yet been investigated. Given that inhibition of intracellular CTSD is highly unfavorable due to its fundamental physiological function, we here investigated the impact of a highly specific and potent small-molecule inhibitor of extracellular CTSD (CTD-002) in the context of NAFLD. Treatment of bone marrow-derived macrophages with CTD-002, and incubation of hepatic HepG2 cells with a conditioned medium derived from CTD-002-treated macrophages, resulted in reduced levels of inflammation and improved cholesterol metabolism. Treatment with CTD-002 improved hepatic steatosis in high fat diet-fed rats. Additionally, plasma levels of insulin and hepatic transaminases were significantly reduced upon CTD-002 administration. Collectively, our findings demonstrate for the first time that modulation of extracellular CTSD can serve as a novel therapeutic modality for NAFLD. 2019 by the authors. -
Inhibitory potential of ferula assafoetida extract on L-type calcium channel protein revealed by zebrafish studies and molecular docking
Ferula assafoetida is a part of many herbal formulations and hence it is pertinent to check the safety of its components specially to growing embryos. Zebrafish (Danio rerio) is considered to be one of the best models to study human embryonic development and metabolic pathways as its genome is fully sequenced and it possesses easily detectable developmental properties. In present study, the embryos of Danio rerio were treated with different concentrations of methanolic extract of Ferula assafoetida (MEFA) and its effects were checked at different post fertilization periods. Decreased heart beat rates, shrinkage of the chorion wall and other developmental abnormalities leading to the death of the embryos were observed. The methanolic extract of Ferula assafoetida was subjected to GC-MS to determine the different compounds present. Cardiotoxicity of these compounds were studied as it is one of the important factors for the retraction of a drug from the market. Molecular docking studies with L-type calcium channel (LTCC), a protein important for cardiac functioning, showed strong binding to the phytochemicals in the extract, with the maximum binding affinity observed with 26-hydroxycholesterol. The study proves that the methanolic extract of Ferula assafoetida contains phytochemicals which have the potential to cause cardiotoxicity in zebrafish embryos by interfering with the functions of LTCC possibly leading to arrhythmia. Altogether, our data suggest that the usage of these extracts in drug formulations should be done with caution. This is also indicative of the possible cytotoxic effect of the extract which could be tapped in the search for anticancer drugs. 2021 Chemical Publishing Co.. All rights reserved. -

Injective coloring of complementary prism and generalized complementary prism graphs
The complementary prism Gof a graph G is the graph obtained by drawing edges between the corresponding vertices of a graph G and its complement. In this paper, we generalize the concept of complementary prisms of graphs and determine the injective chromatic number of generalized complementary prisms of graphs. We prove that for any simple graph G of order n, ?i(G ? n and if G is a graph with a universal vertex, then ?i(G = n. 2020 World Scientific Publishing Company. -
Injective edge coloring of graphs
Three edges e1, e2 and e3 in a graph G are consecutive if they form a path (in this order) or a cycle of lengths three. An injective edge coloring of a graph G = (V, E) is a coloring c of the edges of G such that if e1, e2 and e3 are consecutive edges in G, then c(e1) ? c(e3). The injective edge coloring number ?? i (G) is the minimum number of colors permitted in such a coloring. In this paper, exact values of ?? i(G) for several classes of graphs are obtained, upper and lower bounds for ?? i (G) are introduced and it is proven that checking whether ?? i (G) = k is NP-complete. 2019, University of Nis. Injective edge coloring of product graphs and some complexity results
Three edges e1, e2 and e3 in a graph G are consecutive if they form a cycle of length 3 or a path in this order. A k-injective edge coloring of a graph G is an edge coloring of G, (not necessarily proper), such that if edges e1, e2, e3 are consecutive, then e1 and e3 receive distinct colors. The minimum k for which G has a k-injective edge coloring is called the injective edge chromatic index, denoted by ?? (G) [4]. In this article, the i injective edge chromatic index of the resultant graphs by the operations union, join, Cartesian product and corona product of G and H are determined, where G and H are different classes of graphs. Also for any two arbitrary graphs G and H, bounds for ?? (G+H) andi?? (G? H) are obtained. Moreover the injective edge i coloring problem restricted to (2, 3, r)-triregular graph, (2, 4, r)-triregular graph and (2, r)-biregular graph, r ? 3 are also been demonstrated to be NP-complete. 2023, University of Nis. Inkjet printing of MOx-based heterostructures for gas sensing and safety applicationsRecent trends, challenges, and future scope
Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are pollutants that affect air quality and human health. Detection of VOCs is important for environmental safety. Metal oxide semiconductor (MOS) is a promising product for gas sensors due to its advantages of easy fabrication, low cost, and good portability. Their performance is greatly affected by microstructure, defects, catalysts, heterojunctions, and moisture. Metal oxidebased nanomaterials serve as a platform to identify various VOCs with high sensitivity due to their wide bandgap, n-type transport, and excellent electrical properties. Gas detection devices based on doping, altered morphology, and heterostructure have been shown to be effective against VOCs. Inkjet printing (IJP) is a promising process for the room-temperature deposition of functional metal oxides for sensing applications. However, the development of metal oxide ink requires a careful selection of the precursors, solvents, and additives. This section will focus on the production of various metal oxide (MOx)-based sensors such as ZnO, SnO2, MoO3, CuO, Cu2O, Mn3O4, and WO3 for the detection of VOCs such as acetylene, toluene, ethanol, formaldehyde, and acetone. It will summarize recent research and advances in large-scale printing of MOx-based nanocomposites. This work illustrates the need to explore new composite materials, structures, and morphology as well as other methods for better and faster transformation. The role of solvents in ink stabilization and printing and the behavior of ink rheological parameters in the IJP spraying process will also be discussed. Ink formulations for the synthesis of functional nanocomposites will be analyzed and presented for future scope and challenges. 2024 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved. -
Innovation and Progress: An Insight into the Indian Business Start- Ups and the Promotion of Scientific Temper for Socio-Economic Advancement
The Constitution of India through its 42nd Amendment of 1976, incorporated scientific temper' as one of the Fundamental Duties to every Indian citizen under Article 51 A (h). The first Prime Minister of India, Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru mentions this term in his book Discovery of India where he characterized scientific temper as a mind-set to change or alter one's intuition in the light of evidences and not to accept anything which appears to be irrational or without proof. Our country has consistently put forth attempts to concede to the scientific temper, time and again and emphasised its significance. In 2013, the Science, Technology, and Innovation policy, developed by the Government of India pushed on the advancement of scientific temper amongst every citizen. However, it needs to go quite far to appropriately show this temperament while fostering the resolutions for achieving socio-economic goals of the country. Presently, it has been noticed that business ventures are intensely reliant uponscientific temper and this will be ultimately essential for the entrepreneurs to succeed. Thus, small and micro undertakings backed by competitive and state of the art technology will be the foundation for greater enterprises in the country, resulting in economic boom. All future businesses will be driven by science and technology and hence, it is called for addition of new avenues and enterprises, with changing time and further with scientific temper as its major ingredient. Start-ups can be considered as one such innovation that has been leading businesses growing by leaps and bounds. In India, the last decade emerged with great start-ups like CRED, Meesho, Swiggy, Zomato, Delhivery, Oyo and many more, making itself one of the most important start-up hubs in Asia and perhaps even in the world. The scientific temper in start-ups can further do wonders to Indias socioeconomic growth in the long run. Hence, in this paper, the authors shall make an attempt to bring out the essence of scientific temper in bringing forth the technologically advanced start-ups in India and its capacity to form the basis of India's future in the global market, in terms of both technological advancements and entrepreneurship. The paper will also highlight the hindrances to its growth and suggest measures in contributing to the growth of start-up ecosystem in India. 2024, Department of Law, University of North Bengal. Innovative constraints formulation in timetable planning for efficient resource allocation in academic institutions
Many developing nations still rely on manual timetable scheduling in academic institutions, leading to inefficiencies. However, advancements in technology have introduced software solutions such as FET (free evolutionary timetabling) to automate the process. In a study, the authors successfully implemented FET to automate timetable creation at a university, reducing the time required from days to seconds. Scheduling in universities with elective courses poses challenges, includingavailable rooms, faculty availability, and guest lecturers. The authors propose a unique timetable generation process that considers post-pandemic social distancing measures. This process addresses various complex constraints faced by academic institutions and holds potential for reopening institutions in a cautious manner following the pandemic. 2023, IGI Global. Innovative instructional strategies that motivate students to learn during the pandemic
Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has spread all over the world affecting public health at the outset of 2020. This has slowed down almost every sector of human life including education. However, few of the private educational institutes have risen to the occasion immediately and have continued providing education online. Teachers were forced to adapt themselves to teach online. Students started to attend online classes from home. Inevitably, parents had to invest in purchasing computers or smartphones and internet connections to support their children's education. Though all these changes began with an overwhelming spirit from all stakeholders, in no time it has become a monotony. This has led to the present study to find innovative instructional strategies that can motivate learners to learn and sustain interest in learning during pandemics. The present study employs a qualitative research design to address this issue. 2022, IGI Global.
