<text>The primary objective of this study is to determine how sustainability spending can help build sustainable supply chains. This study also assesses the sustainability of five firms with respect to four dimensions; profitability, sustainability spending, risk rating, and sustainability risk management. Data was collected through unstructured interviews with biotechnology and medical technology industry personnel. Key sustainability risk factors that created a ripple effect along the supply chain were identified. The supply chain surplus and risk management strategies were evaluated. Technique for order of preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) was used to rank the firms on their sustainability and risk management practices. The critical sustainability risks identified are inventory management, logistics/ transportation, waste management, energy consumption, supplier sustainability, material handling, and plant or facility management. Findings reveal that firms investing in sustainability risk management face better prospects of developing supply chain sustainability and profitability. <text>Heavy metal contamination by hexavalent chromium [Cr(VI)] remains a major ecological threat due to its toxicity and persistence. This study investigated chromium-tolerant rhizospheric bacteria associated with Typha domingensis collected from Doddagubbi Lake, Bengaluru. Twelve isolates were obtained and exhibited diverse colony morphologies, where Gram staining classified the isolates into six Gram-positive and six Gram-negative strains. Physiological screening revealed broad adaptability with several isolates (DL4, DL6, DL11) tolerating up to 7.5% NaCl and DL11 showing thermotolerance up to 50C. pH profiling indicated that multiple strains (DL2, DL4, DL6, DL7, DL8) sustained growth up to pH 10. Biochemical tests showed widespread catalase activity and notable proteolysis, citrate utilisation and amylase production. Molecular identification grouped the isolates into eight taxa, including Brevibacillus brevis, Bacillus subtilis, Paenibacillus cookii, Kocuria rhizophila and several Pseudomonas species. Chromium tolerance assays demonstrated clear differentiation between highly tolerant isolates (DL1, DL2, DL8, DL9), which showed uninterrupted growth from 10100 mg/L Cr(VI) and moderately tolerant isolates that declined beyond 60 mg/L. Quantitative OD??? measurements further confirmed that the highly tolerant group retained OD values >0.55 at 80100 mg/L, whereas sensitive strains dropped below 0.05. These results highlight the strong bioremediation potential of T. domingensisassociated rhizobacteria for Cr(VI)-contaminated environments. 2026, World Researchers Associations. <text>Climate change poses a significant threat to global agriculture, jeopardizing food security and the livelihoods of millions. The agricultural sector's vulnerability is evident in altered precipitation patterns, rising temperatures and an increase in extreme weather events. This study examines climate smart agriculture (CSA) as an adaptive approach to boost productivity, enhance resilience and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Focusing on Chhattisgarh, India a region reliant on rain-fed agriculture this research assesses farmers' attitudes toward climate change and CSA adoption, identifying both challenges and opportunities. The findings reveal a mixed adoption of CSA practices, with preferences for water-smart, knowledge-smart and weather-smart technologies. Key barriers include economic constraints, insufficient awareness and limited government support. However, a high adoption rate (72.5%) of knowledge-smart practices, such as improved seed varieties, underscores the importance of agricultural institutions and information dissemination. The study recommends enhancing support for energy and carbon-smart technologies, improving access to agricultural insurance and bolstering knowledge-sharing initiatives. These insights offer valuable guidance for policymakers, agricultural extension services and farmers in promoting climate-resilient and sustainability in Chhattisgarh. 2025 - Kalpana Corporation.</text>

<text>Aim. The impact of early referral to palliative care on quality of life for patients with lung cancer has already been discussed. However, the benefits of early integration of palliative care service (EIPCS) combined with standard oncology care for nonmetastatic lung cancer patients remain unclear. Hence, we designed a study to assess the impact of EIPCS among nonmetastatic cancer patients in India. Methods. In this randomized controlled trial study, we divided the data from 115 patients with diagnosed nonmetastatic lung cancer between age group of >18 years to ?65 years. Following clinicopathological and radiology diagnosis, patients were referred to pain and palliative medicine department. Patients were randomly assigned by palliative physicians into two groups: Group A (N = 64), those who were receiving standard oncology care (chemotherapy or radiation or both) along with EIPCS, and Group B (N = 51), receiving standard oncology care. Patients were followed up every 3 weeks up to 3 months. Primary outcomes, symptoms' burden, and psychological well-being were measured by validated tools. To define the impact of EIPCS, appropriate statistics were calculated as the mean standard deviation of the score of validated tools. Statistical significance was defined at p<0.005. Results. From the beginning, we had taken 115 patients, and on 42 days' follow-up, the number of dropout patients for Group A was 3 (due to unable to contact), and for Group B, 9 (due to physical condition). This was followed by a reassessment after 126 days where dropout patients for Group A was 4 (due to unable to contact), and for Group B, 7 (due to physical condition). Following statistical report compliance at 126 days by WEMWBS was 21.16 3.65 in Group A versus 16.1 1.93 versus in Group B and by ESAS 51.84 0.01 in Group A versus 97.64 2.18 in Group B. Conclusion. The findings of this study showed that patients with nonmetastatic lung cancer who received standard oncology care combined with EIPCS had increased the psychological well-being and reduced symptoms burden. 2024 Arunima Datta et al.</text>

<text>The exponential growth of the online purchases and a cyber war in the digital space among the service providers for grabbing the lions share in the online space requires an understanding of the effect of demographic features on the online purchase behaviour of the travellers. Such valuable information will help the service providers to understand and eventually segment their markets and implement effective marketing instruments. The empirical study was carried out amongst 450 travelers who booked their travel online through Online Travel Portals in Delhi National Capital Region out of which 400 questionnaires were found to be complete in all respects and can be used for data analysis. The data was collected from the departure lounge of Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi. The study investigates the traveler`s attitude towards online purchase of travel products and investigates the factors influencing the online purchase of travel products by the travelers. The findings denote that income and age group influence the online purchase attitude of travellers. It also identifies whether a gap existed between expectation and satisfaction of online purchase of travel products using Online Travel Portals in Delhi National Capital Region. The largest positive gap (positive disconfirmation) came from reliability in financial transactions, pertinent information, flexible packages and location while completeness in terms of services, integration on social media, usefulness, accuracy, flexible payment, information quality had a negative gap (negative disconfirmation) between the higher level of importance and lower levels of satisfaction. No significant mean differences were observed between expectations and experiences of proficient Grievance redressal system and timeliness in refund. 2018 Editura Universitatii din Oradea. <text>Learning outcomes: The learning objectives are intended to stimulate the students comprehension of the various challenges faced by Indian startups in the digital ecosystem. With the changing working dynamics in organizations around the globe, managers are expected to explore unconventional business models to facilitate operational growth. The case study is a valuable resource for graduate students to enhance and evolve their critical thinking and solution-oriented skills as forthcoming managers of digital businesses. Students should be able to analyze the case, respond to the questions and evaluate the consequences of workplace flexibility, moonlighting and its applicability in an organizational context. With the Indian Government introducing schemes such as the Digital India initiative and Startup India, it is predicted that numerous startups will opt for digital business standards and a remote work approach. The case bridges classroom theories and a real-life digital company to help students connect with emerging market scenarios. Case overview/synopsis: During the digital era, India witnessed a shift in companies work culture, which amplified when COVID-19 hit the country. Organizations started to work remotely and experienced the numerous benefits it brought. The comfort of working from home was greater for digital businesses whose significant operations could be performed online. However, is it really that productive for digital companies to telecommute? The case illustrates how a digital company, Career Pandit, formed in 2018, unfurls and expands its business and further highlights the challenges the pandemic raised concerning people management. In addition to the discussion, the purpose of the case is to determine the implication of workplace flexibility and moonlighting and how Indian startups cope with the uncertain future challenges it brings. Complexity academic level: Under graduate and postgraduate students. Supplementary materials: Teaching notes are available for educators only. <text>Integrating digital tools into day-to-day work activities has become an undeniable reality. However, the unprecedented reliance on technology has brought with it the escalating degrees of technostress evident through health concerns like chronic musculoskeletal problems and decreased job satisfaction. And the COVID-19 pandemic accelerated the negative impact, as IT industries adopted the hybrid workplace approach, especially in developing countries like India. This paper aims to find whether location autonomy moderates the effect of technostress on subjective wellbeing among IT employees working in a hybrid model. A purposive sampling method gathered 440 responses from IT professionals in Bengaluru tech parks. IBM SPSS and AMOS software were used to assess the constructs by SEM analysis, in line with the job demand-control theory. The results showed that location autonomy accounts for 31.6% of the variance in subjective wellbeing, while technostress explains 33.2% of the variance, with dimensions ranging from 21% to 46%. Additionally, location autonomy moderates and strengthens the link between technostress and subjective wellbeing. The study recommends that organizational leaders adopt HR policies that allow employees to choose their workplace rather than mandating a specific location for scheduled days in the week. This approach can potentially improve overall employee wellbeing, offering a favorable resolution to the challenges posed by technostress in the IT industry. <text>Lipophilicity, expressed as logP, is a significant physiochemical property and is an indicator of absorption, distribution, metabolism and elimination characteristics of drugs used in medication. It is one of the major deciding factors of the fate of a molecule to be a successful drug. Mol2vec is a convenient and unsupervised machine learning technique which produces high-dimensional vector representations of molecules and its molecular substructures. The work described here aims to simplify prediction of logP values with high-degree of accuracy by using Deep Learning (DL) models paired with Mol2vec. The work described in this paper empirically demonstrates that by using the described DL models paired with Mol2vec, one can achieve results which are much better than the conventional ML techniques as well as more complex and recent algorithms like Message-passing Neural Networks (MPNN), Graph Convolution (GC) and Spatial Graph embedding (C-SGEN). Our RMSE (Root Mean Square Error) scores from the ensemble model is one of the best reported so far in literature. The methods elaborated in this paper are simple, yet effective in predicting logP values to a great degree of accuracy due to the use of Mol2vec and standard TensorFlow operators. The models employed here can be coded and maintained with much more ease compared to the techniques of MPNN, C-SGEN or GC. 2021 Elsevier B.V.</text>

<text>As a new and emerging digital asset, Cryptocurrency has been traded for more than a decade, reaching a very high market capitalization and continuing to increase its volume of trading at a very rapid pace. Many countries have legalized or are considering legalizing cryptocurrency as a trading platform for this asset, and many companies worldwide accept it as a medium of exchange. As a result of this expansion, many researches in finance literature have focused on studying the efficiency of this cryptocurrency market. In line with this literature, this paper examines, using the abnormal returns and abnormal trading volumes methodologies, the dynamics of investors' reaction to the arrival of unexpected information like The Russia Ukraine War regarding the Cryptocurrency market in the context of the two hypotheses: the uncertain information and the efficient market hypotheses. 2024 IEEE.</text>

The compound adopts an E conformation with respect to the azomethine bond and the dihedral angle between the pyridine and benzene rings is 21.90 (7). The azomethine bond [1.275 (2) distance is very close to the formal C=N bond length, which confirms the azomethine bond formation. An extensive set of O - H?O, O - H?N, N - H?O and C - H?O hydrogen bonds builds a two-dimensional network progressing along the c axis.</text>

<text>Children with Dyskinetic Cerebral Palsy often suffer significant challenges in interacting with digital devices due to their impaired motor control which hinder the use of traditional input methods such as keyboard and touch screens. The limitations can be overcome by developing assistive technology such as the IOT based system that the paper proposes. The paper proposes an eye-tracking system that uses web-cameras along with computer vision algorithms to detect gaze direction and blink patterns paired with a handheld IOT console that bridges the interaction between the user and the digital interface. The study also proposes ways to assess and evaluate a patient's motor and cognitive functions. The proposed solution keeps in mind the motor limitations of a DCP patient and aims to enhance the accessibility of digital interfaces, providing children with severe motor impairments a more intuitive and inclusive means of interacting with technology. 2025 IEEE.</text>

<text>Purpose. Amid the increasing importance of subjective well-being in shaping employees work outcomes, especially amidst growing health concerns and the adoption of hybrid work models, HR practitioners are actively seeking effective strategies to enhance employee well-being. The aim of this study is to develop and validate a scale for assessing autonomy in hybrid work, and subsequently, investigate the potential impact of autonomy on the subjective well-being of employees. Methodology. Data were gathered from employees working in the Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) sector in Bengaluru, India in the form of a survey from a sample size of 440 employees. Devellis methodology was followed for the scale development and multiple regression analysis was used to test the hypotheses. Findings. Autonomy in hybrid work positively related with employee well-being, with location autonomy (31.4%) being a significant contributor to this positive association followed by scheduling autonomy (17.4%) and time autonomy (7%). However, the dimension of decision-making autonomy did not show a significant relationship with subjective well-being. Research implications for practice. This research assists decision-makers in understanding the ramifications of different forms of work autonomy on workforce well-being and grasping the evolving landscape of organizational psychology. Researchers can utilize the developed scale to scrutinize autonomys effects on diverse employee outcomes, such as productivity and job satisfaction across various industries and countries, thereby augmenting the scales generalizability. Originality. The literature review indicates that there is no prior study conducted in India or any other country within the evolving context of hybrid work similar to the present study. 2025 National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE University).
