<text>The usage of transition metal carbide-based electrocatalysts has proven to be an efficient and effective strategy for enhancing the kinetics of water splitting reactions encompassing the generation of hydrogen (hydrogen evolution reaction, HER) and oxygen (oxygen evolution reaction, OER). In this investigation, we have prepared a composite material by integrating Cr2CTx MXene (derived from Cr2AlC MAX phase) and polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) through electrospinning technique. Carbonization of the MXene-PVA nanofibers resulted in the formation of Cr2CTx/carbon nanofiber (Cr2CTx/CNF) that exhibits high porosity, stability, surface area, and electrocatalytic activity. Systematic examination and optimization for the electrocatalytic water splitting reaction reveales outstanding performance, characterized by substantially lower overpotentials of 265 mV and 250 mV at the constant current density of 10 mA cm?2 with lower Tafel slope values of 85 mV dec?1 and 52 mV dec?1 for HER and OER, respectively. Moreover, this work presents a novel strategy for fabricating non-precious electrocatalyst Cr2CTx/CNF through a cost-effective and straightforward electrospinning and carbonization process, advancing electrocatalytic water splitting applications, especially for oxygen evolution reactions. 2024 The Royal Society of Chemistry.</text>

<text>Sustainable human resource management is gaining importance in organizations due to its role in developing a sustainable work environment and well-being. This paper discusses the relationship between employee perceptions of sustainable human resource management and job satisfaction in 54 countries. We propose that sustainable HRM is positively associated with job satisfaction but that this relationship is moderated by employees' identification with the organization and country-level individualismcollectivism. Thus, we suggest national culture functions as a second-level moderator of the relationship of sustainable HRM with organizational identification on job satisfaction. Findings from the multi-level analyses using data from 14,502 employees nested within 54 countries provided support for our hypotheses, namely that employee perceptions of sustainable HRM were positively associated with job satisfaction and that this relationship was more pronounced for employees with lower levels compared to higher levels of organizational identification in individualistic rather than collectivistic countries. These findings bear important implications for both theory and practice. 2024 ERP Environment and John Wiley & Sons Ltd.</text>

<text>This study empirically examines whether economic globalization reduces (enhances) the level of poverty in the top (bottom) globalized region by controlling economic growth, urbanization, government expenditure, and public expenditure on education. This issue has taken Europe and Central Asia (ECA) as the top (16) and South Asia (SA) as the bottom (7) economic globalized developing region for the empirical analysis for the period of 1991-2020. Two empirical models, non-linear ARDL and PMG-ARDL, estimate the impact of globalization (trade and financial openness) and education on poverty. This study also segregates economic globalization into de jure and de facto to critically analyze the impact on poverty reduction. The long-run results suggest that economic globalization has a negative (positive) effect on poverty in the top (bottom) globalized region. Apart from globalization, primary education is insufficient for reducing poverty in the ECA region, while primary education is enough to reduce poverty in the SA region. After replacing economic globalization with trade and financial openness, the results reveal that more trade openness is difficult for reducing poverty in top globalized developing countries. On the contrary, financial openness reduces (enhances) poverty in the top (bottom) globalized region. Additionally, the impact of de jure and de facto economic globalization are similar throughout the regions. The effects of control variables are mixed in nature. From a policy perspective, the government of these two regions should use education as a weapon to lower poverty vulnerability by improving its quality and giving extensive focus on trade and financial openness to find out the leakage of the financial flows. <text>We propose a complete circular economy and sustainability model from soft cemented carbide scrap to supercapacitor application. An enhanced recovery of cobalt and nickel was observed when deep eutectic solvent was used. A comparative in-situ electrochemical deposition of the recovered metals was done on stainless steel (SS), SS/activated carbon (AC), and SS/AC/polyaniline (PANI). The optimization of electrochemical extraction was carried out by varying voltage, time, and temperature. The surface area and conductive polymer's electronic distribution contributed to different surface morphological deposition of specific metals on them. Unique fluffy particle deposition was observed on the surface as fine grain particles with uniform particle size within 1 m. The fabricated supercapacitors showed the pseudocapacitance behaviour. The presence of metal oxide nanocomposite deposition as the active material is particularly pronounced in the SS/AC/PANI device due to the inclusion of PANI as an active material and its substantial contribution to pseudocapacitance. The higher charge-discharge time of SS/AC/PANI at the same current densities compared to SS/AC may be due to the above-mentioned additional contribution of PANI's quickly reversible redox behavior. Hence, the overall electrochemical extraction from scrap to supercapacitor will undoubtedly lead to achieving the sustainable development goals (SDGs) 2024</text>

<text>The study examined the "role of perceived organisational support in predicting organisational commitment and organisational citizenship behaviour in professional organisations". The primary data was acquired through a questionnaire from 200 respondents (employees from the finance and technology sectors) via a stratified random sampling technique. Excel and SPSS 26 were utilised for data analysis, and Statistical tools such as Anova, regression and correlation were used. The results demonstrated that perceived organisational support (POS) positively influences organisational commitment. Moreover, it has been found that perceived organisational support (POS) and organisational citizenship behaviour (OCB) in professional organisations have a substantial correlation, and there are significant differences in the perception of organisational support, commitment, and OCB among professionals working in the technology and finance sectors. This study can assist decision-makers and managers in the finance and technology sector in creating a comprehensive plan for organisational support and development programs that effectively include employees in their job responsibilities. The study provides valuable insights into the importance of perceived organisational support in fostering organisational commitment and citizenship behaviour. 2024, Creative Publishing House. <text>The utilization of metalorganic framework nanostructured electrode materials in supercapacitors and sensor applications is achieved by various chemical methods. In this study, we create NiS and NiS@MOF-BDC by employing nickel precursors and benzene dicarboxylic acid (BDC) as chelating organic linkers through a thermal reduction procedure at a temperature of 400 C to produce the composite. The composite heterostructure enhanced the conductivity, porous characteristics, and diverse potential morphological qualities. The production of composite electrodes demonstrates a specific capacity of 260F/g (104C/g) when subjected to a current density of 1A/g. Additionally, these electrodes exhibit exceptional cyclic stability, enduring 5000 cycles, when used with a 2 M KOH electrolyte. Moreover, the synthesized composite HR-TEM images were analyzed using computer vision and AI techniques for estimating the porosity and investigating the enhanced electrochemical correlation. 2024 Elsevier B.V.</text>

<text>In this work, Poly(o-phenylenediamine) (POPD) and zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles were electrochemically deposited on GCN (graphitic carbon nitride) coated TCFP (Toray carbon fiber paper) electrode. The modified electrode ZnO-POPD-GCN-TCFP was assessed by Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) studies. The electrochemical studies were carried out via cyclic voltammetry (CV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopic (EIS) methods. The developed electrode was employed for the oxidation of furfuryl alcohol (FA) using 4-ACT (4-acetamido TEMPO) as a mediator in an alkaline medium via bulk electrolysis. Proton nuclear magnetic resonance (1H NMR) spectroscopy was used to characterize the final product. The oxidation of FA to furfural was accelerated by the heterogeneous catalyst ZnO-POPD-GCN-TCFP electrode owing to its good electrocatalytic activity and stability. Hence, a sustainable electrochemical method for synthesizing furfural, with significance in the realm of green chemistry, was developed. The Electro-oxidation of FA offers a clean alternative to traditional methods utilizing electricity, potentially from renewable sources, to drive the reaction, reducing reliance on harsh chemicals and minimizing environmental impact. By adjusting parameters like electrode potential and electrolyte composition, it is possible to optimize the reaction conditions for furfural production with optimal yield, which has several applications in daily life. 2024 Elsevier Ltd</text>

<text>Virtual reality (VR) used in rehabilitation has the potential to enhance the quality of life for individuals with various medical conditions. As a result of this novel approach, there has been an increase in the number of individuals who are now giving their attention and actively engaging in rehabilitation programmes. This study aims to assess the effectiveness and advantages of virtual reality-based rehabilitation programmes in comparison to traditional educational methods for enhancing and strengthening talents. The creative capacity of VR was assessed through a study involving 50 participants who are going through regular traditional therepy methods. Virtual reality therapy enhances cognitive functions. As a result of the changes, there was a 30-40% increase in growth using proposed mathamatical model compared to traditional methods. The study revealed that the use of virtual reality-based personalised rehabilitation resulted in enhanced cognitive function and improved retention of knowledge among the participants. 2024, Taru Publications. <text>Polymer nanocomposites have been a rapidly expanding research topic for producing materials over the last few decades. In the previous two decades, there has been a significant scientific interest in nanoscience and nanotechnology. Nanomaterials' distinct features are related to quantum phenomena, greater surface area, and self-assembly. Quantum effects can begin to dominate matter's behaviour in the nanoscale, particularly at the lower end, affecting optical, electrical, and magnetic properties. Nanomaterials have evolved into nanocomposites with numerous applications. Its applications catapulted them to prominence in the field of material research. Because of their unique property combinations and design practicality, polymer nanocomposites are employed in sports equipment, wastewater treatment, the automobile industry, and biomedical applications. Even though they have numerous advantages, producing them in sufficient quantities and high quality is still one of the biggest challenges. During the last few decades, polymer nanocomposites have been a fast-developing research topic for material production. There has been a surge in scientific interest in nanoscience and nanotechnology during the last two decades. Nanomaterials have developed into nanocomposites, which have a wide range of uses. Its uses propelled them to the forefront of material research. Nanocomposites physical, mechanical, barrier, flame retardancy, optical, dielectric, rheological, and thermal characteristics have been thoroughly researched. Their uses have also been discussed. 2024, Informatics Publishing Limited. All rights reserved.</text>

<text>A novel approach called Modified Invasive Weed Optimization (MIWO) technique has been developed and combined with the Perturb and Observes (P&O) algorithm to enhance the extraction of maximum power from photovoltaic (PV) panels in the presence of partial shading conditions. The conventional P&O algorithm falls short in extracting the maximum power from PV systems under partial shading conditions due to the existence of multiple maximum points. In such scenarios, optimization techniques can be employed to search for the global maximum point. The proposed MIWO-based P&O algorithm updates the reference voltage to ensure that the PV system operates at the Maximum Power Point (MPP) based on the prevailing weather conditions. This MIWO based PV system is further fed to water pumping system. A PV-based water pumping system is utilized for both irrigation and domestic purposes. Additionally, a sensorless vector control-based induction motor is employed in this study to drive the pump. The objective of this research is to demonstrate the achievement of an efficient PV-based water pumping system without the need for battery storage. Various results based on MIWO are compared with PSO and GWO. The results are presented based on various water pumping applications and the availability of solar irradiance during rapid climate changes. MATLAB/Simulink simulations, along with hardware-based experiments, are provided to validate the effectiveness of the proposed method under both transient and steady-state conditions. 2024 IOP Publishing Ltd.</text>

<text>This paper introduces certain relations between 1-edge contraction and the total vertex stress and the confluence number of a graph. A main result states that if a graph G with ?(G) = k ? 2 has an edge vivj and a ?-set CG such that vi, vj ? CG then, ?(G/vivj) = k ? 1. In general, either S(G/ei) ? S(G/ej) or S(G/ej) ? S(G/ei) is true. This observation leads to an investigation into the question: for which edge(s) ei will S(G/ei) = max{S(G/ej): ej ? E(G)} and for which edge(s) will S(G/ej) = min{S(G/e`): e` ? E(G)}? 2024 Azarbaijan Shahid Madani University.</text>

<text>Chamaecostus cuspidatus, commonly known as insulin plant is medicinally important and a rich source of several secondary metabolites which exhibit pharmacological properties. In the present study, three different heavy metals (Pb, Cu and Cr) with different concentrations (Pb and Cr-50, 100, 150, 200 and 250 ppm and for Cu 25, 50, 75, 100 and 125 ppm) was used for heavy metal treatment and its impact on several biochemical and antioxidant parameters was measured of the test plant along with control. Current study mainly focuses on the biochemical and antioxidants estimation of root and rhizome of C. cuspidatus. Protein, proline and carbohydrate content was increased in the treated groups. Total phenol and total flavonoid content were also found to be increased in all the treated groups. Both enzymatic (SOD, CAT, APX) and nonenzymatic antioxidants (DPPH, FRAP and total antioxidant activity) was measured. Antioxidant activity was also high in the treated groups. Highest DPPH activity was found in Cu 25 treated rhizome 91.8030.157 and lowest was observed in Pb 50 treated root 4.5530.240. Highest reducing power activity (FRAP) was observed in Cr 100 treated rhizome 0.75860.0008 and least was found in control root 0.2090.0005. Heavy metals accumulation was also measured and maximum heavy metal accumulation was found in soil following by root and rhizome of all the treated groups. 2024, Indian journals. <text>Remote sensing images (RSIs), a keystone of modern agricultural technology, refer to spectral or visual data captured from drones, satellites, or aircraft without direct physical contact with the Earth's surface. These images provide a wide-ranging view of agricultural landscapes, providing valuable insights into land use, crop health, and environmental conditions. Agricultural food crop classification, a vital application within precision agriculture, includes the detection and classification of different crops cultivated in a certain region. Traditionally reliant on manual techniques, the development of technologies, particularly the incorporation of RSIs, has revolutionized this process. Agricultural food crop classification has become more sophisticated and automated by harnessing the wealth of data received from RS, which facilitates precise management and monitoring of crops on a large scale. Deep learning (DL), a branch of artificial intelligence, plays a more effective role in these synergies. The incorporation of DL into the RSI analysis enables high-precision and efficient detection of various crop types, assisting more informed decision-making in agriculture. This study proposes a new Dipper Throat Optimization Algorithm with Deep Learning based Food Crop Classification (DTOADL-FCC) algorithm using Remote Sensing Imaging for Agricultural Resource Management. The DTOADL-FCC method aims to apply DL algorithms for the classification of different crop types. In the DTOADL-FCC method, fully convolutional network (FCN) based segmentation process is performed. Next, the DTOADL-FCC method exploits the SE-ResNet model for learning intrinsic and complex features. The DTOADL-FCC method makes use of DTOA for the hyperparameter tuning process. Lastly, the classification of crop types takes place using the extreme learning machine (ELM) model. The study utilizes mathematical formulations including activation functions, loss functions, fitness calculations, and iterative update processes. A brief set of simulations showcases that the DTOADL-FCC method achieves remarkable performance over other techniques with much improved results. 2024 The Author(s)</text>

<text>Halochromic materials that show visible color changes in response to changes in pH are suitable for the real-time monitoring of fish spoilage. In this study, an easy-to-use, simple, inexpensive, and non-toxic fish freshness indicator was fabricated by combining delignified jute (Corchorus olitorius) fibers and anthocyanins (halochromic materials) from red cabbage (DFA: Delignified jute fibers incorporated with anthocyanins). A single-step decolorization/delignification using solar irradiation along with NaOH and H2O2 treatment was used for modifying the jute fibers. This method helps to overcome the self-color, mitigates the lack of affinity of jute fibers towards anthocyanins and preserves the lignin so that the strength of the fiber is not impacted. A smartphone-based color analysis was used for real-time fish quality monitoring using DFA. To the best of our knowledge, there are no reports on the use of jute fibers as substrates to incorporate anthocyanins for food spoilage monitoring. The indicator displayed an observable color response to the pH and varying concentrations of amine compounds. During the storage of fish (mackerel), the colorimetric indicator showed a visible color change from pink (for fresh fish) to blue (for spoiling fish) and then to green (for spoiled fish), corresponding to changes in pH and total volatile basic nitrogen. To offer a straightforward quantitative assessment of color changes, we utilized the freely available Android application Color Grab to measure the color using RGB and L*, a*, and b* indices. The DFA indicator providing naked-eye analysis has the potential to be an effective tool for real-time monitoring of on-site food spoilage by non-specialized personnel in resource-limited areas. 2024 Elsevier B.V.</text>

<text>Adolescence is a critical period during which the likelihood of experiencing self-regulation failures like aggressive outbursts is increased. Recent Indian studies on adolescents have reported an increasing incidence of aggressive acts during this time of transition, which is a threat to the adolescent, the victim and society in general. This study focuses on the social-cognitive perspective, implying that aggression is a social behaviour that is largely affected by ones beliefs about the acceptability of aggression and the degree of cognitive and effortful control they have over their emotions. Such beliefs are likely to be influenced by emotion socialisation, wherein parents and peers act as key agents. With this perspective, the current study, through a mediational model, explains the social-cognitive factors predicting aggressive behaviour in adolescents. This is a cross-sectional, descriptive study carried out on a sample of 475 adolescent students from the Delhi-NCR region recruited through purposive sampling. The data were collected through self-report questionnaires from schools and colleges. The model was tested using SPSS AMOS and was found to be a good fit for the data. The findings of this study are crucial from a risk and intervention perspective. It emphasises the need to build socially and emotionally competent students who not only have the skills needed to succeed but also nurture healthy social relationships and maintain positive mental health through adaptive emotion regulation skills. 2024 Department of Psychology, University of Allahabad.</text>

<text>India has emerged as one of the world's most appealing locations for renewable energy development. It has set lofty renewable energy goals to reach 450 gigawatts (GW) capacity by 2030. These aims indicate India's determination to move to greener and more sustainable energy sources. India has been investing in R&D to promote technological innovation in renewable energy. This includes improvements to solar photovoltaic technology, wind energy, energy storage technologies, and smart grid systems. Innovation is critical for improving efficiency, lowering prices, and increasing the reliability of renewable energy sources. This paper aims to analyse the linkages between economic growth and renewable energy usage in India. For this, the Granger Causality technique is adopted, and it is found that no short-run causality exists among the economic growth and RE installed capacity. However, Industrial Production Granger Causes both GDP and Renewable Energy Capacity. When the stock price data of the last five years of top renewable energy companies was also collected, it was found that all the companies are showing an upward trend. While renewable energy is growing rapidly, especially solar and wind power, it is insufficient to meet the bulk of India's energy demands. Renewables contribute to reducing carbon emissions and diversifying the energy mix, but they still account for a smaller percentage compared to thermal power. 2024, Creative Publishing House. <text>Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on digital employee engagement, focusing on the roles of job autonomy and digital learning orientation. It sought to understand how these factors influenced employee engagement in a digital environment and the extent to which the meaningfulness of work mediated these relationships. Design/Methodology/Approach: Data were collected from 527 individuals performing administrative jobs in the private service sector. The study utilized partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) to test the proposed relationships among job autonomy, digital learning orientation, and digital employee engagement with mediation of meaningfulness of work. Findings: The findings indicated that job autonomy and digital learning orientation significantly and positively predicted digital employee engagement. However, the meaningfulness of work did not mediate the relationship between job autonomy, digital learning orientation, and digital employee engagement. The results of this study found that there was no significant relationship between the meaningfulness of work and digital employee engagement. This study also found that when the employees used digital tools, they often experienced feelings of loneliness and insecurity. Practical Implications: The study suggested that the organizations role should always be focused on promoting digital tools. Organizations should emphasize enhancing job autonomy and encourage employees to engage in digital learning orientation, boosting digital employee engagement in the workplace. Originality/Value: This study contributed to the literature considering the role of AI applications that directly influenced digital employee engagement by addressing the significant roles of job autonomy and digital learning orientation. It also emphasized the need for future research to explore the impact of the meaningfulness of work and the dependence on digital tools for employee performance. 2024, Associated Management Consultants Pvt. <text>The client therapy experience has been the focus of many bodies of literature in psychotherapy, even across cultures. While researchers have emphasized on the use of indigenous approaches in Indian psychotherapy, how much of this is applicable in the present scenario? The experience has become increasingly tricky to understand given the complexities arising from the influence of urbanization and westernization. Thus, the present study aimed to explore the experience of mental illness and psychotherapy in modern day India. Using the integrated, holistic idea of the person and their needs, the study conducted semi-structured interviews with ten cis-gender, urban Indian participants between 21 and 39years of age. Data analysis using thematic analysis uncovered the global theme of Transitional Culture Impacting the Therapeutic Experience. The major organizing themes and basic themes have been elaborated as well. In essence, the study concludes that the increased awareness and acceptance of psychotherapy in urban India, combined with the exposure to Western methodologies, may be related to an increase in the expectations for similar therapeutic services. Implications and recommendations have been discussed. The Author(s) 2023.</text>
