<text>The study delves into the impact of couple stress on the commencement of convection in a porous material oriented horizontally. This layer contains a chemically reactive ferromagnetic fluid and experiences bottom heating. The investigation utilizes small perturbation methodology to explore and understand the impact of couple stress on the initiation of convection in this specific system. With the assumption of a non-autocatalytic exothermic reaction, eigenvalues are determined utilizing the Galerkin method. The analysis explores the effects of magnetic and couple stress parameters, as well as the Frank-Kamenetskii number. The observation indicates that the acceleration of the onset of ferroconvection is influenced by both magnetic forces and chemical reactions. Simultaneously, the presence of the couple stress component serves to stabilize the system. Moreover, when the nonlinearity of magnetization is sufficiently pronounced, the destabilization of the fluid layer is observed to be marginal. 2024 Oles Honchar Dnipro National University;</text>

<text>The present study explores the factors driving borrowers preference for formal banks, self-help groups (SHGs) and moneylenders. The study is based on a systematic survey of 839 rural borrowers from southern India, sampled from four districts with varied levels of credit access (surplus, constrained and moderate credit). The data was analysed using multinomial logistic regression in SPSS. Results show how banks and moneylenders exclude borrowers based on relative wealth and gender. SHGs service women borrowers but are preferred more by wealthier borrowers, highlighting intragroup inequalities. Yet, the three lenders service a variety of purposes, justifying their demand in the market. The study enhances understanding of rural borrowers constraints concerning various credit sources. The implications of this study are as follows: one is identifying the lacunae in the formal banking system, which policy amendments could address. Two, the study recommends an investigation of intragroup inequalities within SHGs. Third, the study underscores the demand for multiple players in the rural credit markets and their contribution to the borrowers credit needs. (2024), (Indian Academy of Sciences). <text>Purpose: Financial inclusion is acknowledged as a critical facilitator of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals agenda for 2030. Therefore, this study aims to examine the asymmetric role of overall globalization on financial inclusion by controlling economic growth, urbanization and population for the selected South Asian countries. Design/methodology/approach: Applying the nonlinear autoregressive distributed lag approach to cointegration explores the impact of overall globalization on financial inclusion in the presence of additional variables like economic growth, urbanization and population in the designed financial inclusion function. Findings: The estimated econometric outcomes show that increasing overall globalization fosters financial inclusion while decreasing overall globalization reduces financial inclusion. Furthermore, a positive (negative) change in economic growth leads to an increase (decrease) in financial inclusion while varying short-run findings. Moreover, both positive and negative changes increase financial inclusion in the long run in connection with urbanization. Although the short-run results are not significant, the study finds that an increase (decrease) in population leads to a decrease (increase) in financial inclusion. Finally, to support the promotion of financial inclusivity throughout South Asia, several policies pertaining to financial inclusion are suggested. Originality/value: To the best of the authors knowledge, this is the first study to examine the asymmetries related to overall globalization on financial inclusion by controlling economic growth, urbanization and population. 2024, Emerald Publishing Limited.</text>

<text>Learning outcomes: After completion of the case study, the students will be able to critically analyze the business model of Desiri Naturals, analyze the pricing strategy of Desiri Naturals, examine the importance of experiential marketing in the success of an environment-friendly business, identify the challenges faced by new entrepreneurs and evaluate the sustainability practices of Desiri Naturals. Case overview/synopsis: This case study discusses the business model of an environmentally friendly business. The challenges and obstacles faced by entrepreneurs are illustrated in this case. The entrepreneurs vision to provide chemical-free food is highlighted and their business operations as a means to fulfill this vision are explained. Desiri used an age-old bull-driven method of oil extraction (Ghana). Challenges in pricing due to the availability of low-priced mass-produced edible oil using the solvent extraction process are presented in this case. The entrepreneurs faced the pricing dilemma at the inception of the business, as oil produced using the natural cold pressing method cost three times the selling pricing of solvent-extracted oil. Innovative methods of experiential marketing such as Ghana tourism are explained in this case. This case study also explains the sustainable and natural farming techniques propagated through its network of farmers. This case study provides insights into the scalability of this model and the scope for employment generation in rural India. The environmentally friendly practices followed by Desiri, such as the use of glass bottles and reusable steel containers for packaging oil are emphasized. Finally, this case presents the marketing and operational challenges faced by entrepreneurs in their quest to expand their operations. Complexity academic level: This case study can be used by postgraduate and undergraduate students studying marketing, entrepreneurship, sustainability and operations management courses in commerce and business management streams. Supplementary materials: Teaching notes are available for educators only. Subject code: CSS8: Marketing. 2024, Emerald Publishing Limited.</text>

<text>In the realm of education, feedback emerges as a pivotal component, serving to foster engagement and interaction while also facilitating the refinement of teaching methods to capture and maintain student attention. Traditional classroom assessment methods often struggle to accurately gauge the degree of comprehension among students during lectures, relying on manual comment collection that inherently carries the risk of inaccuracies. In response to this challenge, a novel system has been proposed, harnessing the power of Facial Emotion Recognition (FER) technology to capture student feedback. Within this framework, students are given a unique avenue to convey their emotions and reactions, employing facial expressions and gestures as the means to communicate. This innovative approach enables the analysis of students emotional responses and thereby provides invaluable insights into their comprehension levels, as well as the overall quality and engagement experienced during lectures. The approach takes shape through the utilization of Computer Vision techniques, with a particular focus on an unobtrusive methodology for assessing students overall engagement. Overcoming limitations of traditional assessment, our approach integrates compound scaling, employing the proposed Multitask EfficientNetB0 model recognized for its proved accuracy in emotion recognition (95.7%) and behavior analysis (96.3%) across diverse datasets (DAiSEE, iSED, iSAFFE). The behavioral classification system categorizes students into Engaged and Disengaged classes within a multi-class framework, providing nuanced insights into comprehension and Student engagement. Assessment metrics, including ROC Curves, Precision, Recall, and F1-Score, ensure a thorough evaluation. Our systems adaptability is demonstrated across varied educational environments, showcasing real-world efficacy in classrooms, laboratories, and seminar halls. The inclusion of MTCNN enhances face detection capabilities, facilitating robust analysis in dynamic scenarios. Expanding its applicability, the model has been put to the test in a range of educational settings, including classrooms, laboratory environments, and seminar halls, offering dual-capability analysis of both emotions and behavior. This comprehensive approach yields nuanced insights into student engagement and interaction, and its performance has been validated through real-world deployment within classrooms and seminars The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.</text>

<text>This paper presents an analysis of RayleighBard convection (RBC) of a Newtonian-nanoliquid-saturated anisotropic porous medium in the presence of rotation (RayleighBardTaylor convection). The investigation is performed using non-classical boundary conditions. The effect of various parameters on the onset of convection is presented graphically. The system sees stabilisation due to an increase in the rotation rate and thermal anisotropy parameter whereas the system destabilises due to an increase in the mechanical anisotropy parameter. The results of 82 limiting cases can be extracted from the current work. The results of free-free, rigid-free and rigid-rigid isothermal/adiabatic boundaries are obtained from the present study by considering appropriate limits. The results of the limiting cases of the present study are in excellent agreement with those observed in earlier investigations. 2024 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group.</text>

<text>Higher education students use digital devices for learning, entertainment, and financial transactions. The present study examines undergraduate (UG) students challenges faced in cyber security space amid digital environments. The study employed a qualitative research design with a narrative inquiry method to capture the lived experiences, challenges, and coping mechanism of UG students through semi structured interviews. The researchers analyzed the qualitative data of ten UG students using the inductive thematic analysis method. UG students shared overall that they face varied experiences, multiple challenges, and cope with cyber security issues in multiple ways. Findings from the study led to recommendations for stakeholders, which includes designing higher education classes in a more secure way. This may offer students orientation on cybersecurity knowledge which keeps them safe and helps them understand the digital environment overall. 2024 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.</text>

<text>Online shopping has become increasingly prevalent in recent years, overshadowing traditional brick-and-mortar shopping. Research has tried to understand the online shopping experiences of various consumers. However, the online shopping experiences of consumers with visual impairment (CWV) gained less attention. This study captures the online shopping experiences of CWV by employing a phe-nomenological qualitative approach. Data was collected from CWV through semi-structured interviews. The sample size of this study was fifteen, and data was analyzed using NVivo14. The findings indicate a growing preference for online shopping among the CWV. The results explore the accessibility-related issues encountered by CWV and strategies employed to overcome them. Additionally, the paper underscores the benefits of independence and the impact of online shopping on the personal growth and well-being of CWV. The study provides insights to marketers to foster inclusion in the digital marketplace. This study helps marketers and other stakeholders to understand the online shopping experiences of CWV and ensures consumer well-being and inclusion. <text>Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a complex neurodevelopmental condition that has gained significant attention in recent years due to its increasing prevalence and profound impact on individuals, families, and society as a whole. In this study, we explore the use of different machine learning classifiers for the accurate detection of ASD in children, adolescents, and adults. Furthermore, we conduct feature reduction to identify key features contributing to ASD classification within each age group using Cuckoo Search Algorithm. Logistic Regression has the highest accuracy compared to the other two models. 2024 by the authors.</text>

<text>A recent surge of interest surrounds metaverse tourism, with researchers highlighting its potential to revolutionize the tourism industry and attract new travellers. This article delves into the key features of a tourist's metaverse experience that influence their desire to visit a destination in the real world using systems theory. In addition, the current study also explores the moderating role of FOMO (Fear of missing out) in few of the proposed relationships. The study is a cross-sectional descriptive investigation carried out among Indian tourists chosen based on the simple random sampling technique and is analyzed using the Smart PLS software. The findings of the study reveal that several attributes of a tourist's metaverse experience, including entertainment, interaction, trendiness, novelty, and intimacy, significantly enhance both the perceived quality of spatial presence within the destination and the level of perceived augmentation experienced by tourists. Notably, both these factors then exert a significant positive influence on a destination's brand equity, ultimately explaining tourists' intentions to visit the physical location. Interestingly, the moderating role of Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) suggests that the relationship between brand equity and the likelihood of tourists undertaking a physical visit is strengthened as their perceived FOMO increases. 2024 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group.</text>

<text>The concept of vulnerability in a communication network plays an important role when there is a disruption in the network. There exist several graph parameters that measure the vulnerability of a communication network. Domination integrity is one of the vulnerability parameters that measure the performance of a communication network. In this paper, we introduce the concept of paired domination integrity of a graph as a new measure of graph vulnerability. Let G = (V,E) be a simple, connected graph. A set of vertices in a graph G, say S, is a paired dominating set if the following two conditions are satisfied: (i) every vertex of G has a neighbor in S and (ii) the subgraph induced by S contains a perfect matching. The paired domination integrity of G, denoted by PDI(G), is defined as PDI(G) = min{|S| + m(G - S): S is a paired dominating set of G}, where m(G - S) is the order of the largest component in the induced subgraph of G - S. In this paper, we determine few bounds relating paired domination integrity with other graph parameters and the paired domination integrity of some classes of graphs. 2024 World Scientific Publishing Company.</text>

<text>This paper aims to investigate the effect of information reliability, risk, and value consciousness on hedonic behaviour, attitude towards counterfeit products, and genuine store trustworthiness. Using a structured survey instrument, this paper gathered data from 449 respondents from three cities major cities (Kochi, Bangalore, and Chennai) in southern part of India. The hierarchical regression render support that: 1) information reliability is positively related to hedonic behaviour and attitude towards counterfeit products; 2) risk is negatively related to hedonic behaviour and attitude towards counterfeit products; 3) value consciousness is positively related to hedonic behaviour and genuine store trustworthiness; 4) hedonic behaviour and attitude towards products are related to purchase intention. In addition, the results also support the moderation hypotheses of materialism, value consciousness and social status. The study suggests that marketers need to understand the importance of non-deceptive counterfeiting is useful and consumers have tendency to prefer to use these products once they are satisfied with their utility. The conceptual model developed and tested in this research enables the marketing managers to understand the antecedents of consumers purchase intention of counterfeit products. <text>In the Internet of Things, Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are networks of interconnected sensors that wirelessly collect and transmit information about the environment. Using IoT sensors, IoT applications can remotely monitor and control physical environments. Clustering in WSNs involves organizing sensor nodes into groups called clusters with one or more CHs for efficient data integration, communication and management, improving network performance and resource utilization. In WSNs, achieving energy efficiency is critical to extend network lifetime and ensure stable operation. An important aspect contributing to energy optimization is the selection of CHs. However, the lack of an efficient cluster head selection mechanism remains a significant challenge. Therefore, this study introduces an optimized multivariate cluster head selection method that leverages the Improved Golden Eagle Optimization Algorithm (IGEOA). With this approach, the selection of CHs is optimized, combining multiple objective functions designed for energy efficiency. By using this algorithm, clusters are formed based on the selected CHs. In addition, a cluster maintenance phase is integrated to supervise the post-establishment clustering of the network, which ensures optimal cluster performance and resource utilization in WSN. Evaluation through simulation illustrates that the proposed method significantly improves both performance and energy efficiency in a WSN environment. <text>This study reports on developing and validating the School Alienation in Online Schooling Scale (SAOSS). School alienation in online schooling is conceptualized as opposed to school belonging and the main reason for minimal participation, reduced educational benefits, and school dropout in school aged-children, especially during the online learning forced due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. This study includes three phases. The first study included item generation and analysis. After the initial analysis, 13 items from the tool were retained. In the second study, exploratory factor analysis was conducted. Two factors emerged from principal component analysis (PCA). In the third study, we investigated the confirmatory factor analysis of SAOSS with a sample of urban students in Iran (grades 79, n = 317). The SAOSS has important implications for researchers, school counselors and psychologists, policymakers, and stakeholders. Implication for theory, practice and future research is discussed. 2024 International School Psychology Association.</text>

<text>Objective: The objective of this study is to empirically examine the mediating effect of heedful interrelating on the direct effect of self-determination and thriving at work among university faculty members. Theoretical Framework: The organismic human integration philosophy forms the theoretical underpinning for the study. The conceptual model is built by integrating self-determination theory (SDT) with the theory of heedful interrelating. Method: Following an explanatory research design, data from 396 university faculty members PAN India was used to test the conceptual model with the PLS-SEM bootstrapping technique. Results and Discussion: The findings validate a significant direct influence of self-determination on thriving at work. Furthermore, there exists a significant mediation effect of heedful interrelating between self-determination and thriving at work. Through causal mediation, it is interpreted that self-determined and autonomously motivated behaviors, stemming from the satisfaction of universal basic psychological needs of autonomy, competence, and relatedness, play a pivotal role in fostering heed-based behavior within an individual. Research Implications: This empirical study validated the organismic integration theory of human nature in the academic sector through the positive direct effect. Implications for the sample of university faculty members suggest the use of heedful interrelating during group tasks through the dimensions of contributing, representing, and sub-ordinating. Originality/Value: This study makes significant original theoretical contributions to the SDT literature and to the SDT puzzle, firstly, by adding heed as a novel indicator to self-determination theorys relatedness dimension and secondly, by validating the role of heedful interrelating in bridging the dialectic gap within the self-determination theory. 2024 ANPAD - Associacao Nacional de Pos-Graduacao e Pesquisa em Administracao. <text>The transliteration process involves transcribing words from the source language into the target language that uses a different script. Language and scriptural hurdles can be overcome via transliteration systems. There is a demand for automated transliteration systems due to the existence of several languages and the growing number of multilingual speakers. This study focuses on the Machine Transliteration of handwritten MODI script to Devanagari. MODI script was the official script for Marathi till 1950. Although Devanagari has, since then, taken over as the Marathi languages official script, the MODI script has historical significance as large volumes of its manuscripts are preserved in libraries across different parts of India. However, MODI into Devanagari transliteration is a difficult task because MODI script documents are complex in nature and there is no standard dataset available for the experiment. Machine Transliteration can be approached either as a Natural Language Processing task or as a pattern recognition task. In this research work, the transliteration task is carried out using the pattern recognition technique. The transliteration of MODI script to Devanagari is implemented using Convolutional Recurrent Neural Network (CRNN) based Calamari OCR, which is open-source software. An accuracy of 88.14% is achieved in character level matching of each word in the MODI to Devanagari transliteration process. When considering the entire word matching, the accuracy achieved is 61%. Machine Transliteration of MODI script documents results in the retrieval of large repositories of knowledge from ancient MODI manuscripts. <text>Motivated by the necessity of attaining carbon neutrality and striking a balance between clean and conventional energy sources, the emphasis is on how urgent it is to combat climate change and make the switch to sustainable energy systems. In this context, the currentstudy aims to examine the effects of energy diversification on green growth, considering such complementary factors as green technology, human capital, remittance inflows, foreign direct investment inflows, trade openness, and gross fixed capital formation. An empirical analysis is conducted by framing a green growth function in the panel data framework which is analyzed using the dynamic standard correlated model for the BRICS nations (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) for the period between 1995 and 2020. The results show that (i) energy diversification exerts a dampening effect on the trajectory of green growth, (ii) the process of green growth was affected due to green technology and foreign direct investment inflows, (iii) underscores the pivotal role of human capital and gross fixed capital formation in bolstering the green growth trajectory, (iv) despite their potential relevance, remittance inflows and trade openness exhibit negligible impact within the framework of the green growth function, thus underscoring their limited contribution to the overarching sustainable development. The practical policy recommendations and invaluable insights provided by these empirical findings are instrumental in fostering green growth among the BRICS countries. Moreover, it contributes to the discourse on sustainable development by providing a solid foothold for informing the development of relevant policies in similar situations around the world. 2024 United Nations.</text>

<text>Failure to innovate in this era of rapid IT growth is a significant obstacle to the modernization and growth of industries and increases the competitiveness of such organizations in the market. Strong innovation and competence are more than necessary to turn innovative ideas into reality, gain new competitive advantages and achieve sustainable long-term growth. Innovation is not only an important tool for companies to increase their competitiveness, it is also an important driver of long-term economic growth for a country. Regular engagement in high-quality innovation activities should be mandatory for organizations that intend to successfully adapt to today's fast-paced digital economy. If companies want to improve their chances of survival in the coming years and continue to grow, they need to invest in their innovation capabilities. Many companies now operate under the assumption that updating their accounting systems with advanced software will provide better results than relying on old, time-honored methods. Concrete steps are needed, such as developing powerful data-driven tools to improve how individuals, organizations and governments spend their money. Beginners still have to put in the effort to learn new skills because they often have trouble imagining using a device they've never used before to accomplish a task. Due to the increased automation of this financial system, the risk of error has increased; So it is very important. In fact, you can manage your needs exactly with this tool. 2024 Published by Faculty of Engineering.</text>
