<text>The cognitive and evidential features of the graph discipline are significantly influenced by the implementation of graph operations. Molecular descriptor acts as a fundamental network invariant relevant to a particular molecular structure in the framework of chemical graph theory. The semi-total point graph features the edges of subdivision graph as well as the edges of the original graph. In this paper, we explore combinatorial inequalities associated with the edges, vertices and its corresponding neighborhood notions along with the inclusion of other molecular descriptors in the computations for the determination of exact expressions of second hyper-Zagreb index for certain corona products involving the semi-total point graph. 2023 Academic Publications</text>

<text>The introduction of mobile shopping apps has resulted in the growth of impulse buying or excessive compulsion, especially in the fashion industry. This paper aims to establish a relationship between app stimuli (including performance expectancy, effort expectancy, atmosphere, layout, and privacy and security) and impulse buying behaviour. Besides this, it also examines the moderating effects of the video product presentation and product scarcity claim and the mediating effects of impulse buying intention and user satisfaction. The study was carried out in two phases. In the first phase, a paired t-test analysis was carried out to compare the mean of each set. This was followed by multi-group structural equation modelling to check the models validity. The results show that while video product presentation produced a significant difference between impulse buying intention and impulse buying behaviour for both the male and female respondents, scarcity claims achieved positive results only for male participants. The SEM results, meanwhile, demonstrated that both the mediating variables bear a relationship to performance expectancy, privacy and security, and impulse buying behaviour. However, effort expectancy was only related to impulse buying intention, while atmosphere and layout were exclusively associated with user satisfaction. Based on the findings of the study, theoretical and managerial implications are presented. 2023 Korean Scholars of Marketing Science.</text>

<text>Service robots create a touchless experience for travellers; therefore, this research aims to conduct a systematic literature review (SLR) of service robots in the tourism and hospitality sector. This study used the Scientific Procedures and Rationales for Systematic Literature Reviews (SPAR-4-SLR) approach for reviewing the articles. One hundred eighteen articles are selected for the final review. A thematic analysis divided the articles into three themes and nine sub-themes. For establishing the future research directions Theory, Methodology, and Context (TMC) framework was used and forty-one future research questions are proposed. The study provides various research implications concerning theory and practical perspective. Different management theories are linked with future research questions. Few review papers discussed the service robot in the context of the tourism sector, but none of these studies used the SPAR-4-SLR and TMC framework. This study comprehensively reviews the articles and provides potential future research directions. 2023 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group.</text>

<text>This study aimed to recognize the patterns of smartphone addiction among post-graduate management students in the North-East Region of India. The validated Smartphone Addiction Proneness Scale (SAPS) was administered to the respondents, and two different methods, namely SAPS method and median-based scoring method, were used to measure smartphone addiction. The measurement results of smartphone addiction show evidence that the student respondents are not vulnerable to smartphone addiction. Principal component analysis with promax rotation (KaiserMeyerOlkin measure = 0.84; Bartletts test of sphericity = 0.000) demonstrated four crucial components that signify smartphone addiction which are habitual issues (issues relating to regularly or repeatedly doing or practicing something), withdrawal anxiety, tolerance, and usage outcomes. Gender was not seen to play a significant role in these components. The duration of use of a smartphone was seen to have a significant relationship with the component of habitual issues but not with the other components. 2023 The Author(s). <text>Brazilian author Paulo Coelhos The Alchemist is believed to be a work that inspires readers to reflect upon their dreams and pursue them. While it is a matter of discussion as to what makes the novel so, one of the apparent reasons is the compelling presence of philosophical ideas like Taoism. However, the presence of Taoismthe idea of going with the universes flow - contradicts Coelhos use of the idea of fate or Maktub present in the same work. While Maktub stands for a pre-determined destiny, this research paper closely analyses how Taoist principles in The Alchemist contradict the authors use of the concept of fate or destiny through the actions and dialogues of notable characters. 2023 The Author(s). <text>Growing items like livestock, chicks, etc. gain weight in the growing phase but some of them are lost due to mortality. In the selling phase, some inventory is lost due to deterioration. Such aspects make procurement decisions quite difficult for these items. In the light of such aspects, we developed an inventory model for the growing items with price dependent demand, mortality and deterioration. Shortages are partially backlogged. Our aim is to optimise the total cost by determining the optimal ordered quantity and total cycle length. Convexity of the cost function with respect to the decision variables has been discussed analytically. Solution procedure along with numerical example at different percentage of backlogged quantity is provided to show the applicability and validity of our model. Sensitivity analysis shows that total cycle length is the most sensitive among all the decision variables and parameters. Copyright 2023 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.</text>

<text>Detecting black hole attackers is tedious in Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks due to vehicles' high mobility. The main consequence faced because of these attackers is an increase in the number of dropped packets which converts secure and fastest paths to compromised ones. Since these attackers can act individually and collaboratively as a group, early detection of these attackers must be feasible to preserve the network's performance. The majority of current methods rely on predetermined threshold and trust score values, which are ineffective in accurately identifying black hole attackers. Hence, this paper proposes a hybrid approach using dynamic threshold value and node credibility for early detection of black hole attackers. RSUs periodically compute the dynamic threshold value and categorize the vehicles into categories 1, 2, and 3. Vehicles classified as Category 1 are legitimate, whereas Category 3 vehicles are attackers. Vehicles in Category 2 are suspicious, requiring further analysis using node credibility values to identify attackers. It is protected against single, multiple, and collaborative black hole attackers. The NS2 simulation results demonstrate that the suggested method is optimal concerning PDR, Throughput, Delay, and Packet Loss Ratio compared to recent techniques. Since the proposed scheme efficiently identifies the attackers, it has 89.67% PDR, which is higher when compared to other schemes. 2013 IEEE.</text>

<text>This paper explores the potential impact of Generative Artificial Intelligence (Generative AI) on developing countries, considering both positive and negative effects across various domains of information, culture, and industry. Generative Artificial Intelligence refers to artificial intelligence (AI) systems that generate content, such as text, audio, or video, aiming to produce novel and creative outputs based on training data. Compared to conversational artificial intelligence, generative artificial intelligence systems have the unique capability of not only providing replies but also generating the content of those responses. Recent advancements in Artificial Intelligence during the Fourth Industrial Revolution, exemplified by tools like ChatGPT, have gained popularity and reshaped content production and creation. However, the benefits of generative artificial intelligence are not equally accessible to all, especially in developing countries, where limited access to cutting-edge technologies and inadequate infrastructure pose challenges. This paper seeks to understand the potential impact of generative AI technologies on developing countries, considering economic growth, access to technology, and the potential paradigm shift in education, healthcare, and the environment. The findings emphasize the importance of providing the necessary support and infrastructure to ensure that generative AI contributes to inclusive development rather than deepening existing inequalities. The study highlights the significance of integrating Generative AI into the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in developing countries, where technological change is a crucial determinant of progress and equitable growth. <text>Blockchain has been envisioned as the most disruptive technology in the landscape of ecommerce. There has been an array of challenges for e-commerce retailers to handle like transparency, immutability, reliability and disintermediation. The paper is an attempt to understand consumer acceptance towards new technology where the primary focus would be transparency and plans for human salvation by combating the environment and ethical challenges. The study emphasises the prospective use of blockchain technology in ecommerce industry which has been coupled with the vagueness of these issues. Unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) has been used as the base model to understand the consumer behaviour towards using blockchain technology as a new platform with special reference to fashion apparel sector. Providing traceability of product with an objective of consumer transparency in this mould will change the way of doing online shopping and will have more onus on retailers. <text>Stress mindset is a lens through which one views stress and its consequences as beneficial or harmful for them. It is a distinct variable that differs from frequency, amount, and intensity of stress. The literature review indicated that stress mindset could mediate the link between self-efficacy and coping style, which was previously not tested. Hence, the study aimed; 1) to examine the relationship between self-efficacy, stress mindset, and coping style; 2) to investigate the influence of stress mindset and self-efficacy on coping styles; 3) to find whether stress mindset mediates the association between self-efficacy and coping styles. The study employed a correlational research design, whereby through multi-phase sampling recruited 727 participants (male = 300, female = 427, mean age = 16.26) studying in 11th and 12th standard. The researchers administered validated stress mindset, self-efficacy, and coping style and performed a multiple correlational and regression analysis. They computed mediation analysis using Hayes model 4 in Process Macro. The finding indicated that the association between self-efficacy and self-controlling coping style is mediated by stress mindset. Furthermore, it mediated the connection between some sub-domains of self-efficacy and coping styles. The data were evident to infer that individual with high self-efficacy can interpret social stressors as beneficial and improve their coping skills. 2023 The Author(s). <text>Urban built environments can influence human cognitive and emotional comforts. Human comfort in the built environment has challenged architects and urban designers while developing comfortable spaces. Emerging cognitive-architectural studies in architecture engineering inform new directions for improvising human spatial design practices. This paper intends to present a systematic meta-analysis of selected empirical studies to identify the gaps and future scope of research in human cognition and built environments. However, the scope of the literature review is to concentrate on experiments that consider physiological reading in different environments, such as nature and architectural spaces in cognitive study areas. The peer-reviewed literature published from 2010 to 2021 illustrates that only limited design parameters are considered in these experiments. The study analyses the extensive consideration of experimental medium, simulation categories, and participant factors like gender and age in this research domain. The survey recommends considering more visual features, contextual conditions, and ethnic groups. 2023 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group.</text>

<text>Chromium is a harmful heavy metal to the environment due to the toxicity induced by it to plants and other living organisms. High concentration of Cr in soil poses severe toxicological problems ecosystem. Phytoremediation using different plants is an economical and environment-friendly method for removing Cr from soil. The addition of chelating agents augments the phytoex-traction using plants. The present study aimed to augment the Cr phytoremediation capacity of Amaranthus virdis, a predomi-nant plant species in the Cr-contaminated open dumpsites of Bangalore.. Phytoextraction of Cr by Amaranthus viridis was studied in the presence of different chelating agents viz. ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA), citric acid (CA), growth pro-moting hormone-indoleacetic acid (IAA) and NPK fertiliser. A. viridis grown under different concentrations (5, 10 and 20 mg/Kg) of Cr were treated with 0.5g EDTA/Kg of soil, 0.5g CA/Kg of soil, 1mg IAA/Kg of soil and NPK (125 mg of nitrogen, 45 mg of phosphorous and 156 mg of potassium per Kg of soil). Results indicated that CA, at 10 mg/kg Cr supply, induced the highest uptake (up to 29.25 g/plant). Furthermore, the study revealed that CA amendment induced maximum Cr uptake in A. viridis at all levels of Cr supply as compared to other amendments. This was due to the increased solubility of Cr in the presence of citric acid and the amelioration of oxidative stress due to Cr to plants by citric acid. This study inferred that the non-hyperaccumulating plant, A. virdis could be used as a phytoremediator for Cr in the presence of citric acid in the places where it is grown abundantly. Author (s). <text>A key driver of workplace cognitive competencies is metacognition which has been shown to impact performance among nurses, teachers and firefighters, however, it is scarcely studied among managerial employees. The research investigating this relationship is also scattered across multiple domains limiting its utility for researchers and practitioners. This paper, therefore, presents an integrative review of the existing empirical literature from the Web of Science and Scopus database to trace the linkages of metacognition, workplace cognitive competencies and performance at work. The identified linkages are then formulated into a conceptual framework clarifying how various workplace cognitive competencies and performance may be linked to metacognition. The findings indicate linkages between metacognition and various workplace cognitive competencies such as problem-solving, decision-making, innovation, creativity and knowledge acquisition. The present research also establishes the link of metacognition and cognitive competencies with learning, individual and firm performance. The review paves way for metacognition to be considered as a distinct construct in the workplace, identifies gaps and provides direction for future research. Copyright 2022 The Author(s).</text>

<text>The advent of social media as a marketing tool has transformed how businesses connect and share information about their brands with their consumers. Amplified consumer engagement has created novel relationships between consumers and companies. Peoples reliance on seeking information from other online users and reviews has increased, and this is where social media influencers play an important role in shaping consumers opinions. Augmented reality will revolutionize the influencer marketing environment due to its ability to engage consumers. This research involved an online survey with questions established on a 7-point Likert scale. Later, exploratory factor analysis was used to summarize data better to understand associations between dependent and independent variables. Later principal component analysis was espoused for the extraction process. Varimax rotation congregated 39 items into various factors. The Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) test was administered to justify the adequacy of the sample. The findings suggest that augmented reality moderates user engagement and is the future of influencer marketing. 2023 MDI.</text>

<text>Polyethylene has become an integral part of our contemporary lives. The neoteric versatile nature of polyethylene is used in constructing various applications. Out of the plastic waste discarded, 60% of the plastic waste enters landfills. The polyethylene discarded in the soil and water on exposure to the environment forms macroplastics (>2.5 cm), mesoplastics (5 mm-2.5 cm) and microplastics (<5 mm). Microplastics in the water and soil are observed to have lethal and ecotoxicological effects on aquatic and terrestrial organisms. They enter the food chain and permeate into the food that one eats. In order to address this impending concern, the present study aimed to treat plastics to form a degradable, safe and earthy material. The dissolved polyethylene was treated with starch and was made to react with oxidizing agents such as hydrogen peroxide, nitric acid and acetic acid to lower its inert ability to withstand its degradation. The effect of starch and oxidizing agents on dissolved low density polyethylene was subsequently analysed. The analysis of treated polyethylene showed a decrease in its crystallinity percentage by 6.19 and an increase in its functional groups on reaction with solvent trichloroethylene made to react with starch and oxidizing agents. In the present research, tests were conducted to obtain the various methods that can be utilized to reverse the inert ability of polyethylene. The prevailing recycling model that uses antioxidation techniques is counterproductive since it was found that such techniques appeared to make the polyethylene more resistant to further degradation. In this study, the polyethylene was dissolved in the solvents, such as xylene and trichloroethylene, to make the polyethylene more susceptible to reactants and hence a viable model for treating polyethylene. : Author (s).
