<text>In this paper, the notion of generalized Ricci-type soliton is introduced and its geometrical relevance on Riemannian CR-manifold is established. Particularly, it is shown that a Riemannian CR-manifold is Einstein when its metric is a generalized Ricci-type soliton. Next, it has been proved that a Riemannian CR-manifold is Einstein-like, when its metric is a generalized gradient Ricci-type almost soliton (or generalized Ricci-type almost soliton for which the soliton vector field is collinear to the CR-vector field). Finally, we present an example of generalized Ricci-type solitons which illustrate our results. 2022 Elsevier B.V.</text>

<text>Purpose: Besse first conjectured that the solution of the critical point equation (CPE) must be Einstein. The CPE conjecture on some other types of Riemannian manifolds, for instance, odd-dimensional Riemannian manifolds has considered by many geometers. Hence, it deserves special attention to consider the CPE on a certain class of almost contact metric manifolds. In this direction, the authors considered CPE on almost f-cosymplectic manifolds. Design/methodology/approach: The paper opted the tensor calculus on manifolds to find the solution of the CPE. Findings: In this paper, in particular, the authors obtained that a connected f-cosymplectic manifold satisfying CPE with \lambda=\tilde{f} is Einstein. Next, the authors find that a three dimensional almost f-cosymplectic manifold satisfying the CPE is either Einstein or its scalar curvature vanishes identically if its Ricci tensor is pseudo anti?commuting. Originality/value: The paper proved that the CPE conjecture is true for almost f-cosymplectic manifolds. 2021, H. Aruna Kumara, V. Venkatesha and Devaraja Mallesha Naik.</text>

<text>The goal of this article is to introduce and study the characterstics of m-quasi-?-Einstein metric on contact Riemannian manifolds. First, we prove that if a Sasakian manifold admits a gradient m-quasi-?-Einstein metric, then M is ?-Einstein and f is constant. Next, we show that in a Sasakian manifold if g represents an m-quasi-?-Einstein metric with a conformal vector field V, then V is Killing and M is ?-Einstein. Finally, we prove that if a non-Sasakian (?, )-contact manifold admits a gradient m-quasi-?-Einstein metric, then it is N(?)-contact metric manifold or a ?-Einstein. <text>In this work, we intend to investigate the characteristics of static perfect fluid space-time metrics on almost Kenmotsu manifolds. At first we prove that if a Kenmotsu manifold M is the spatial factor of static perfect fluid space-time then it is ?-Einstein. Moreover, if the Reeb vector field ? leaves the scalar curvature invariant, then M is Einstein. Next we consider static perfect fluid space-time on almost Kenmotsu (?, ?)0-manifolds and give some characteristics under certain conditions. 2021 Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. <text>Investors and fund managers continuously strive to find new ways to diversify their portfolio and minimise risk exposure. The study aims to find out whether the macroeconomic indicators exert the same influence on stock prices across the entire stock market or varies across different sectors. The impact of macroeconomic indicators would not be the same on all the sectors. This paper provides empirical evidence of macroeconomic indicators such as crude oil prices, interest rates, foreign currency rates, money supply and inflation rates having a varied impact on Nifty50 index and each of the select sectoral stock indices namely, Nifty Bank, Nifty IT and Nifty financial services. The sample period runs from Jan 2009 to Jan 2019. The study employs the Error Correction Mechanism to study whether the macroeconomic indicators have the same impact across sectoral stock indices in the long run. The findings show that variations in macroeconomic variables do not trigger the same response from all the sectoral stock indices. While most of the variables chosen have a significant influence on Nifty50 index and NiftyIT; Nifty financial services and Nifty Bank remain unaffected by changes in few major macroeconomic variables or show opposite reaction than the other sectors. The findings of the study have significant implications for long term investors and investment managers for building a diversified portfolio and thereby protecting themselves from financial losses during adverse market conditions. 2019, Institute of Advanced Scientific Research, Inc.. <text>The paper examines how new age pedagogies and neoliberal policies consciously work towards naturalizing English languages hegemony in institutions of Higher Education (IHE) in India. An ethnographic study the paper foregrounds the precarious positioning of non-English Indian languages vis-vis the pervading discourses of internationalization and education as job/skill oriented. Hegemony of English in the present is coupled with a restructuring of language departments as well as fleeting market demands for human capital. The paper also brings into question the role of the Internet and related technologies in reorganizing the linguistic dynamics of HE. Instead of democratizing, the Internet produces new monopolies in knowledge production, controls knowledge traffic from global North to South and further legitimizes the language hegemony. The paper argues that, in the last two decades, the neoliberal rupture has been leading HE institutions to a death of vernaculars within their physical, cultural and academic spaces. 2024, Hiroshima University,Research Institute for Higher Education,. <text>This article interrogates how a colonial monument, the Gateway of India in Mumbai, former Bombay, continues to carry and be endowed with a title that is a misplaced embodiment of Indian social histories. Built in the 1920s, this monument, definitely a work of architectural grandeur, continues to carry its erroneous rendition and confines Indias vast social histories to the colonial moment, with an anglo-centric focus. As the monument symbolises the memory of the colonial regime, it also signifies its oppression as well as its exit from the subcontinent, rather than witnessing anyone coming to India, except King George in 1911, as the monuments title seems to suggest. A mnemonic device of colonialism, this misleading label needs to be seriously revisited, for it not only romanticises the colonial past but also fails to lead our memories back to certain crucial episodes in earlier social histories, from which the monument and its specific place, Mumbai, are more or less fully absent. 2023 The Author(s).</text>

<text>Introduction The 1930s and 1940s were a period when the reform-centric language of Malayalam literature came under blistering attack from a group of authors who initiated a movement called Jeevatsahithyam - meaning literature close to life. This signified a new momentum in the career of modern Malayalam literature in Keralam in the southern part of India with social realism being introduced as a mode of challenging erstwhile trends. Jeevatsahithyam heralded a novel attempt to eliminate the distance between literature and social realities. Its authors deliberately opposed the hegemony of reform language in literature - a product of the late nineteenth century and early twentieth century reform movement. According to them, the language of the reform movement which continued to dominate Malayalam literature was clearly embedded in a vicious circuit consisting of caste, class, and morality. This, as it was commonly argued, was a stumbling block in the realistic representation of social realities in the realm of literature. Jeevatsahithyam was renamed in 1944 as Purogamana Sahithya Sangham (Progressive Literature Society - from here on PLS) (Chandrasekharan 1999; Kumaramkandath 2013). Openly declaring itself against the established morals operating then, its ideological base, however, had to be justified by incorporating the term progress (purogamanam) in its title. Thus, in a larger sense, it signified progressive realism rather than simply social realism. This chapter attempts to delve inside the debates around social realism in Malayalam literature where an ideological battle was staged in the regional public sphere around the questions of, broadly put, aesthetics and morality. It maps the discursive sequences of textual practices from the 1940s to the early 1970s when the depiction of desire in literature was a point of heated debates. I concentrate more on the early debates, particularly in the 1940s and early 1950s because they literally mediated between the rising social (progressive) realisms transgressive writings and the erstwhile reform concerns of engendering disciplined subjects (Devika 2007). As a cultural era, the mid-twentieth century was deeply embedded in the old reform discourses of sexual discipline and the postcolonial euphoria of political freedom. The ensuing concerns over building the nation had a profound impact on the patterns of imagining the sexual in literature. Indian Institute of Advanced Studies, Shimla 2020.</text>

<text>(Hi)Stories of Desire situates questions of sexuality in the larger domain where they are conditioned by and, in turn, also condition historically and culturally produced landscapes of being, doing and desiring. The book draws upon multi-disciplinary frameworks of analysis - including history, anthropology, literary studies, queer studies and psychoanalysis - to provide a pan-Indian account of the making of sexual cultures. Based on original research, the chapters foreground sexuality as a significant site for the making of regional, national and personal modernities. The volume addresses the modern paradox where sexuality is assigned a central significance in human life and yet its study tends to remain unconnected from the political, religious, social and economic contexts that produce human subjectivity. It will be of interest to a wide range of readership, opening up the topic to complex yet accessible ways of understanding the culture of sexualities and the sexuality of culture. The squashing of the dustbin will occur on a regular schedule. It will be possible to manage waste more efficiently when these sensible garbage bins are implemented on a large scale and replace our previously designed dumpster, as it eliminates the need for waste to be piled up on the roadside in the first place. When managing the trash containers, wireless sensor systems in networks (WSN) in connection with the IoT technologies are used. On the other hand, sensors are used to monitor the container contents in real-time, with results displayed on the website, and the sensed contents are then evaluated to determine the optimal container distribution. This allows for the processing of a variety of waste types depending on the needs of the customer. As a result of installing ultrasonic sensors in each bin, garbage levels are continuously checked. As a result of this notification, the bin will be cleared. 2023, Bentham Books imprint.</text>

<text>Enzymes have been incorporated into a wide variety of fields and industries as they catalyze many biochemical and chemical reactions. The immobilization of enzymes on carbon nanotubes (CNTs) for generating nano biocatalysts with high stability and reusability is gaining great attention among researchers. Functionalized CNTs act as excellent support for effective enzyme immobilization. Depending on the application, the enzymes can be tailored using the various surface functionalization techniques on the CNTs to extricate the desirable characteristics. Aiming at the preparation of efficient, stable, and recyclable nanobiocatalysts, this review provides an overview of the methods developed to immobilize the various enzymes. Various applications of carbon nanotube-based biocatalysts in water purification, bioremediation, biosensors, and biofuel cells have been comprehensively reviewed. 2021 Elsevier B.V.</text>

<text>The appropriate position and sizing of soft open points (SOPs) for reducing the detrimental impact of electric vehicle (EV) load penetration and renewable energy (RE) variation on active distribution networks (ADNs) are provided in this study. Soft open points (SOPs) have been used to create a multi-objective framework that considers loss minimization and voltage profile enhancement. The non-linear multi-variable complicated SOP allocation problem is solved for the first time using a modern meta-heuristic Aquila optimizer (AO). The modified IEEE 33-bus benchmark and IEEE 69-bus ADNs are used in the simulations. Before SOPs, the average real power loss in IEEE 33-bus AND was 370.329 kW, but after SOPs, it was reduced to 259.356 kW (i.e., 29.96 percent reduction). Similarly, effective SOPs integration in the IEEE 69-bus resulted in a loss reduction of 81.07 percent. AO's computational efficiency is also compared to that of multiobjective particle swarm optimization (MOPSO), particle swarm optimization (PSO), and cuckoo search algorithm (CSA). The AO has produced better results in terms of lower losses, improved voltage profile despite variations in EV load penetration, and RE and load volatility in ADNs, according to the results 2022. <text>In this paper a novel Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) based single layer ground-loaded compact wideband out-of phase equal power divider is proposed . The wide-band and out-of-phase operation of the proposed power divider is obtained by creating defects in the ground plane with rectangular slots. The Defected Ground Structure (DGS) allows the power divider to exhibit a wide passband. The obtained passband is 11.5 GHz wide considering the return loss better than -10dB. Compactness in the proposed design is attributed to the dispersion characteristic of the slow-wave. The proposed design working in the passband from 14.5 GHz to 26 GHz is fabricated and tested. The size of the proposed design is 0.57 ?2g excluding feed lines. Here ?g is the guided wavelength at free space. The measured amplitude imbalance of (01) dB is obtained within the passband. The measured and simulated results are compared and found with in good agreement. 2019 IEEE.</text>

<text>In this paper, a novel design of compact substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) dual-band power divider is proposed. The dual-band operation of the power divider is obtained by exploiting the loading of slots on the ground plane. The electric-dipole nature of these slots allows the power divider to exhibit a passband below the cutoff frequency of the SIW. An in-depth description of the proposed power divider, supported by detailed parametric analysis over the operating frequency bands is reported. Design examples are illustrated to achieve different operating frequency bands. To validate the design studies, a prototype of the dual-band power divider operating at 4.7 GHz and 11.7 GHz is designed, fabricated and tested. The measurement results are found to be in good agreement with the simulation results. 2018 IEEE.</text>

<text>Artificial Intelligence (AI) is becoming an integral part of almost all the sectors of the economy and healthcare is not an exception. Artificial intelligence (AI) applications have transformed the healthcare industry. The aim of this chapter is to review the application of AI in healthcare sector and also explores the challenges in the adoption of artificial intelligence on the same. The authors conducted a thorough review of literature available and also used other secondary sources of data. It was found that, clinical choices, patient information and testing, predictive medical practice and health management of services are the key areas of interest in this AI era. Privacy and data protection was amongst the important challenges of AI in healthcare sector. It is suggested that, there is a need of certificate programs and courses on artificial intelligence, regulations pertaining to AI in healthcare should be implemented so that the challenges of privacy and confidentiality would be resolved. 2024 by IGI Global. <text>This study aimed to assess the impact of Self Help Groups and their specific interventions, such as vocational training programmes and the use of loans in productive means, on the empowerment of Dalit women of Haryana. A selected control group from OBCs was studied, and it was shown how the livelihood interventions of Self Help Groups bridged the gap between SC (Dalit) and OBC women beneficiaries. The study selected four districts from Haryana with an equitable distribution of SC and OBC women beneficiaries and 360 respondents with equal distribution of SC and OBC women beneficiaries from Haryana and used a Likert scale data for the analysis. Principal component analysis (PCA) and treatment effects were carried out using the propensity score matching method (PSM), the composite index for women's economic empowerment was inferred, and important empowerment factors were identified in Haryana. Results compared and contrasted the implications for different social groups and districts selected for the study and concluded that Self Help Group interventions significantly affected the women empowerment of both social groups and uplifted the Dalit women beneficiaries to the level of OBC women in Haryana. A large number of training programmes are to be conducted to promote more small businesses and micro-enterprises. 2024, Creative Publishing House. All rights reserved.</text>

<text>Around the world, stroke is the leading cause of death. When blood vessels in the brain rupture, they cause damage. Alternatively, blockage in a blood vessel that supplies oxygen and other nutrients may also lead to this disease. This study uses various machine learning models to predict whether someone will have a stroke or not. Different physiological features were taken into account by this study while using Logistic Regression; Decision Tree Classification; Random Forest Classification; K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN); Support Vector Machine (SVM); Nae Bayes classifier algorithm; and XGBoost classification algorithm - these were used for six different models to ensure accurate predictions are made. We will accomplish the finest exactness with Bayes cv look which may be a hyper-tuning classifier with 92.87%. This consideration can be utilized for future work by doing the increase and include designing on the dataset. It is constrained to literary information, so it might not continuously be right for foreseeing stroke. so utilize the datasets that contain pictures and work on those datasets. 2024 IEEE.</text>

<text>In the present-day education system, evaluating students' performance is very important. The prediction of student performance is helpful to students and instructors in maintaining a student's progress. Presently, institutions are implementing Continuous Evaluation Systems. This system is beneficial for improving the students' performance and helps increase their regularity in their studies. This work proposed a new version of the particle swarm optimization algorithm to classify students into different categories based on their performance with the help of various factors. The proposed model modified the strategy to increase the optimization algorithm's efficiency. This model deals with the bag of features with the modified optimization algorithm to recognize students' performance based on 33 features. These features are used for training, validation, and testing of the student's performance and generate a classification report which includes F-measure, recall, precision, and accuracy. Based on the classification report, the proposed model is compared with the existing methods, and the better performance of the proposed model is ascertained. 2023 IEEE.</text>
