Sample size for the study was 455 where simple random sampling technique was adopted to give every element in the population to give an equal chance. Results: Through Exploratory Factor Analysis, the paper identifies five factors as product awareness, perception, external influence, product features and hygiene. Here, product awareness is the most influential factor when compared to other factor which affects the buying intension of the menstrual cups. Conclusion: The word Menstruation which was backed by religious and cultural beliefs has gone through tremendous change effect. The lack of product awareness and the existing taboos are restricting women to buy menstrual cups. The Central Bank formulates and implements the monetary policy in a country which in turn facilitates the increase in growth rate, manages interest rates, and money supply in the economy. The primary objective of this paper is to test the semi-strong form of Efficient Market Hypothesis in the Indian Stock Market with respect to financial services industry by conducting an event study. The monetary policy announcements made from 11th March 2016 to 30th August 2019 are taken as the events. The event study methodology is conducted on 13 financial service companies listed in NSE Financial Services Index. The Average Abnormal Return (AAR) and Cumulative Average Abnormal Return (CAAR) are estimated using the daily closing price of the sample companies and Nifty. Two sample T-statistics are used to find the significance of the returns generated. The t-values of a majority of AARs and CAARs are significant suggesting that there is a scope for generating abnormal return by the investors on the event of the monetary policy announcement. It is found that the investors are able to earn abnormal profits which indicate that the Indian stock market is not efficient in the semi-strong form due to the slow absorption of information. Both men and women strive to achieve a steady professional and personal life. In reality, women are more prone to experiencing such challenges. The paper attempted to understand worklife balance among Anganwadi workers (women-dominant centres). The research focused on the impact of job satisfaction, work overburden, workplace support, family support, and dependent care on the worklife balance of Anganwadi workers. For the purpose of the study, a structured questionnaire was administered to 467 participants. Statistical technique used for the study was regression model. The results indicated that workplace support and family support had a positive impact on the worklife balance among Anganwadi workers. The findings also suggested that work overburden and dependent care had a negative impact on worklife balance. The results also contradicted the hypotheses by portraying that job satisfaction was not a significant factor that impacted the worklife balance among Anganwadi workers. Title A name given to the resource Unveiling the Temporal Properties of MAXI J1820+070 through AstroSat Observations Description An account of the resource We present here the results of the first broadband simultaneous spectral and temporal studies of the newly detected black hole binary MAXI J1820+070 as seen by Soft X-ray Telescope and Large Area X-ray Proportional Counter (LAXPC) on board AstroSat. The observed combined spectra in the energy range 0.7-80 keV were well modeled using disk blackbody emission, thermal Comptonization, and a reflection component. The spectral analysis revealed that the source was in its hard spectral state (? = 1.61) with a cool disk (kT in = 0.22 keV). We report the energy dependent time-lag and root mean squared (rms) variability at different frequencies in the energy range 3-80 keV using LAXPC data. We also modeled the flux variability using a single-zone stochastic propagation model to quantify the observed energy dependence of time lag and fractional rms variability, and then compared the results with that of Cygnus X-1. Stratified cluster sampling was used to gather 1029 responses from Higher Secondary School teachers of six educational districts in Kerala. The analysis was done with IBM SPSS v.21 and Process v.3.4. Teachers Social Media Use and Perceived Technology Barriers were significantly correlated with the Technology Adoption of the teachers. The perceived Technology Barriers were reduced with respect to their Social Media Usage. The relation of perceived Technology Barriers with Technology Adoption was significantly moderated with Social Media Use. It is tough time for Indian banking industry. Banks take various steps to improve the performance and provide best services to customers. Performance of banks refers to the capacity in generating sustainable profitability. Banks need to evaluate the performance and find the strength and weakness by considering important ratios. Researchers have analysed the performance of banks applying various tools and techniques. The present study seeks to assess the financial performance of old and new private sector banks operating in India. One of the models for assessing the performance of banks are CAMEL model. The study was conducted using secondary data. The study covered a period of 10 years and the data collected for study had been analysed using Simple Arithmetic Mean, Coefficient of Variation, Linear Growth Rate, Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and Ranking for CAMEL model. Under this model, banks have been rated based on five criteria namely, C-Capital Adequacy, A-Asset Quality, M-Management Efficiency, E-Earning Quality and L-Liquidity. This study was conducted on the financial performance of twenty banks consisting of seven new private sector banks and thirteen private sector banks in India. The result has disclosed that various banks have been performing well in different parameters. As per CAMEL model overall ranking, Karur Vysya bank, Federal bank and Tamilnad Mercantile banks have occupied first three spots under the old private sector banks. In the case of the new private sector banks the first three slots have been held by HDFC bank, Kotak Mahindra bank and Yes bank respectively. The estimated ratios have disclosed that the new private sector banks have been enjoying a better financial health than the old private sector banks during the study period. Metals chosen for this study were aluminium, copper, gold and silver. Data from 1st march 2004 to 31st March 2018 were used for the analysis. Significant clustering effect was found in the variance of all the metals studied. Significantly strong volatility spill-over was found between aluminium and copper when compared to other metals. It was also noted that the persistence of volatility spill-over between copper and aluminium is the least among other metals. Data was collected using standard questionnaire containing standard scaled of distributive, procedural, interactional, trust and employee engagement. The relationships between justice perceptions and work engagement were analyzed using correlations and regression analysis. Findings: The analysis of the study indicates that there is a strong and positive relationship among organization justice and employee engagement. The study also indicates that procedural, interactional and distributive justice are inter related with each other. Further, distributive and interactional justice take precedence over procedural justice in determining job engagement, while distributive justice plays the most important role in determining organization engagement (OE), followed by procedural and interactional justice. The problem becomes more complicated for meandering compound channels. A model is developed for predicting the percentage of shear force at the floodplain (%Sfp) of two-stage meandering channels using gene-expression programming (GEP) by considering five dimensionless parameters viz. the width ratio, relative depth, sinuosity, bed slope, and meander belt width ratio as the inputs in the model. Basing on the %Sfp, the apparent shear force along the division lines of separation in compound channels is selected for discharge calculation using the conventional channel division methods. An Enhanced Channel Division Method (ECDM) is introduced to calculate discharge by assuming interface line at main channel and floodplain junction. A modified variable-inclined (MVI) interface is suggested having zero apparent shear determined from flow contribution in the main channel and floodplain. The MVI interface is further used to calculate discharge in the meandering compound channels. Performance of the GEP model is tested against other analytical methods of calculating %Sfp. Error between the observed and calculated discharges using the MVI interface is found to be the minimum when compared to other interface methods. The enhance channel division method is successfully applied for validating the two available overbank discharge values for the river Baitarani at Anandapur (drainage area of 8570 sq. km), giving the minimum errors of 0.31% and 1.02% for flow depths of 7.5m and 8.63m, respectively. 2020, Springer Nature B.V. After examining a wide range of bilayer pairs based on different polyelectrolytes, the layer-by-layer (LbL) modification of polyamide microfiltration membrane with a uniform coating of poly(diallyldimethylammoniumchloride) (PDAC) and poly(sodium styrene sulfonate) (PSS) multilayers was found to be effective in its removal. The characterization of the bilayer pair was done with analytical instruments like UV-vis spectroscopy, ATR-FTIR, spectroscopic ellipsometry, TGA, SEM and AFM. The characterization of bilayer pairs demonstrated the stability and integrity of bilayer pair. The removal efficiency of bilayer buildup was analyzed by adjusting different assembly conditions and other filtration parameters. The maximum removal rate by the bilayer was 99.26% for 7 bilayer with average permeate flux of 6.19 m3/m2 day. These bilayers exhibit stable rejection properties under various applied conditions including change in pH, presence of anions, and macromolecules etc. suggesting its potential rejection application. The major factors that facilitate the rejection are found to be hydrophilic interaction and steric factor. The present study validated the application of polyelectrolyte modified microfiltration membranes as a potentially feasible and promising method for the removal of obidoxime residues from water matrix. 2020, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.
