This exploratory research develops and tests a framework to analyse the antecedents to organisational preparedness for adoption of IT infrastructure in SMEs. Design/methodology/approach: This exploratory research adopts a mixed-method approach to test the technology, organization and environment (TOE) framework. In-depth interviews with SME owners are conducted to develop the case study, and the measures obtained are tested through a survey at a small and medium business industrial cluster in Southern India in SMEs. Findings: The case study indicates SME owners drive to initiate technology preparedness for organisational sustainability is a key factor, a measure not seen during the literature review. An empirical study tests the measures. Pressure from customers, owners age, sales of SME, owners attitude towards IT and owners knowledge of IT was confirmed, which indicates organisational factors have more impact compared to technological and environmental factors. Research limitations/implications: The academic scope of this research paper can be extended to contexts such as readiness in IT infrastructure for digital transformation. Practical implications: The validated research framework can be used by organisation stakeholders and SME IT practitioners for successful IT adoption. Social implications: SMEs contribute significantly to gross domestic product (GDP) and provide employment opportunities. Hence, this research provides a tested model that SMEs owners/managers can adopt as a framework to augment competitiveness to implement IT. Originality/value: The study adopts a mixed-method research design and is, perhaps, a first in the Indian context to explore variables through case study and validate identified measures through an empirical study. The synthesized nanoparticle samples were characterized by XRD, FTIR Spectroscopy, SEM-EDAX and UV-DRS. The synthesized bismuth silicates exhibit excellent photodegradation against malachite green and rhodamine B dyes in the aqueous medium. Bismuth silicates (10% SiO2-Bi2O3) show superior photocatalytic property and outstanding reusability compared to pure bismuth oxide. The kinetics of the photodegradation of the dyes shows that the reaction follows first-order kinetics with the regression coefficient of 0.99. This paper presents Taylor Series Method in Time Difference of Arrival approach using ultrasonic sensors.Signals are send from the sensors periodically. The time difference of arrival of signals from the ultrasonic sensors is used by the receiver unit to estimate the location of the mobile unit. The denoising problems are addressed by various techniques starting from the Fourier transforms to wavelets. Because of the localized time frequency features and advantages of multi resolution capabilities, the wavelets have been extensively used in the denoising process. The development of algorithms for the wavelet thresholding or shrinkage strategies along with different filters have resulted in the betterment of image quality after the denoising. The dipole moment of FNEB in both the electronic states were found using different solvatochromic approaches such as Lippert-Mataga, Bakhshiev, Kawski-Chamma-Viallet, Reichardt and Bilot-Kawski. The experimental ground state dipole moment of FNEB was calculated using Guggenheim-Debye method and theoretical ground state dipole moment using Bilot-Kawski solvatochromic approach. The solvatochromic behavior of the Schiff base in different solvents was studied using absorption and emission spectra. Catalan and Kamlet-Abboud-Taft parameters were used from the multiple linear regression (MLR) analysis in order to study the solute-solvent interaction. The dipole moments were also calculated using Time Dependent-Density Functional Theory (TD-DFT). The chemical stability of FNEB was determined using computational and Cyclic Voltammetry by the use of obtained energy gap between the frontier orbitals. Using the frontier orbitals energy gap, global reactivity parameters were computed. So the field of image processing has produced a lot of image denoising algorithms and techniques to improve the visual quality of the image. Since noise cannot be reduced to zero practically, the need for faithful and efficient denoising techniques to produce almost noiseless images demands a systematic research work in the field of denoising methods. The denoising process using a bilateral filter even though produces improvement in the image quality, it does not show consistency when the noise level is high and also the peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR) and Image quality Index (IQI) do not show any improvement. This paper proposes an improved algorithm that incorporates the function of bilateral filter model and wavelet thresholding using Neighshrink SURE method. The results show significant improvement in both PSNR and IQI values with respect to the four standard test images under various noise conditions. BEIESP. Title A name given to the resource Chlorin e6 decorated doxorubicin encapsulated chitosan nanoparticles for photo-controlled cancer drug delivery Subject The topic of the resource Chitosan nanoparticles; Chlorin e6; Doxorubicin; Photosensitizer; Photostability Description An account of the resource In the study we have reported the physico-chemical, photophysical and morphological properties of chlorin e6 (Ce6) decorated doxorubicin (DOX) encapsulated chitosan (CS)-tripolyphosphate (TPP) nanoparticles which prepared by ionotropic gelation method. The Ce6 physically loaded onto the nanoparticles by self-assembly of CS with TPP-DOX under aqueous conditions. The results from DLS studies highlights the prepared nanoparticles that possess the size in the range of 80120 nm. with negatively charged of ?6 mV. The SEM and AFM images showed 80120 nm size while the average size of the Ce6 decorated nanoparticles was found to be around 100130 nm. The absorption spectra of Ce6 decorated nanoparticles are similar when compared to free Ce6 which suggest there is no change in the Ce6 chromophore upon decoration. This nanoparticle showed high photostability and singlet oxygen generation (SOG). The Ce6 decorated and DOX encapsulated nanoparticles sizes and charges are in the range of 90130 nm and ?30 mV respectively. The nanoparticles showed high encapsulation efficiency towards DOX as well as pH controlled release. This has significant anti-proliferative activity against MCF-7 breast cancer cells after irradiation at near infra-red (NIR) ranges were evaluated. This could have potential applications in photo-controlled smart DOX delivery system for cancer treatment. 2019 Elsevier B.V.
