<text>Utilizing the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2 (UTAUT2) framework, this research delved into the behavioral intentions and actual usage of fantasy sports gaming apps. The moderating influence of celebrity trustworthiness and risk propensity is also explored. The proposed hypotheses were tested using responses from a substantial sample of 460 sports fantasy gaming app users. The research deployed a mixed-method approach, combining both covariance-based and partial-least square structural equation modeling tech- niques. The investigation findings revealed an influence on behavioral intentions and actual use. Specifically, performance expectancy, hedonic motivation, habit, and social influence emerged as significant determinants affecting users intentions and behaviors. The study indicates a significant moderating role of celebrity trustworthiness on the relationship be- tween performance expectancy, hedonic motivation, habit, and social influence concerning behavioral intentions. Risk propensity moderated the relationship between behavioral inten- tions and actual usage behavior. As a contribution to the expanding literature, the research extended the application of the UTAUT2 framework to the context of sports fantasy gaming apps. The research also provides valuable insights for researchers and professionals associ- ated with sports fantasy gaming apps and future research directions. 2024</text>

<text>Physical violence within marriages are pervasive issues that affect individuals globally, including in India. This essay examines the prevalence and impact of physical and sensual violence in India from a psychological perspective. The underreporting and stigmatization of these forms of violence pose significant challenges in understanding their true extent. Factors such as power imbalances, gender inequality, and cultural norms contribute to their perpetuation. The psychological consequences experienced by survivors include trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety, emotional distress, sexual dysfunction, substance abuse, and self-harm. Additionally, the cycle of violence and revictimization further compounds the psychological impact. Addressing this issue requires legal reforms, raising awareness, promoting education, challenging cultural norms, providing support services, and ensuring accessible mental health support. By addressing the cultural, legal, and psychological dimensions, it is possible to create a society that is free from physical violence and supports survivors in their journey towards healing and empowerment. The objective of this study is to enhance comprehension of the issue of physical violence in India by examining its prevalence and impact. The findings of this research endeavour to facilitate the development of efficacious strategies and interventions to combat this widespread problem in the nation. 2023, Journal for ReAttach Therapy and Developmental Diversities. <text>Objective: As the second most populous country in the world, India accounts for over 20% of the global suicide deaths. Notably, young adults make up 38% of those who die by suicide in India. Yet, the literature on factors associated with suicide within this age group in India is limited. The Interpersonal Theory of Suicide (IPTS) posits thwarted belongingness and perceived burdensomeness as constructs that heighten the risk for suicide. Testing mechanisms that may mediate the relationship between common stressors for young adults in India, such as academic expectations, and suicidal ideation are important to better understand factors contributing to suicide risk within this country. Method: Indian college students (N = 432, M age = 19.41, 73.1% male) completed questionnaires on academic expectations, thwarted belongingness, perceived burdensomeness, collectivism, and suicidal ideation. Results: Current suicidal ideation was endorsed at a rate of 38%. Academic expectancy from the self, perceived burdensomeness, and thwarted belongingness was significantly associated with suicidal ideation. The only significantly mediated pathway was academic expectancy from others to suicidal ideation through perceived burdensomeness. Collectivism was not a significant moderator in the model. Discussion: The sample endorsed high rates of suicidal ideation, highlighting the need for culturally appropriate interventions. Thwarted belongingness, perceived burdensomeness, and academic expectations from oneself may be relevant treatment targets for reducing suicidal ideation among college students in India.HIGHLIGHTS Over one-third of Indian university students endorsed suicidal ideation. Suicidal ideation related to ones own more than others academic expectations. Results offer support for the Interpersonal Theory of Suicide within this context. 2022 International Academy for Suicide Research.</text>

<text>The study uses the Unified Theory of Adoption and Use of Technology (UTAUT) to investigate how higher secondary school teachers in Kerala, India, connect to Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) and technology adoption. Using 496 teachers from diverse backgrounds, the study revealed some important positive correlations between TPACK characteristics and UTAUT results. Strong technologically minded teachers are interested in incorporating technology into the classroom. Crucially for the quality of education, PK, PCK, and CK have a modest influence on technology acceptance. The study emphasises the need for specific professional development and supportive policies to fit Kerala's unique educational scene. With consequences for the whole educational scene, TPACK can encourage improved technology acceptance, particularly in sectors connected to technology. Future research should look at long-term changes in technology use, geographical comparisons, and how new technologies impact teaching approaches. <text>Purpose: The study focuses on the core issue faced by bankers on how to retain existing customers who have encountered an e-service failure and who are skeptical about the justice received through the service recovery process. It further endeavors to create an internal bench-marking model for assessing e-service recovery satisfaction. Design/methodology/approach: By the experimental study, the authors confirm a measurement model using structural equation modeling for examining the impact of perceived service recovery quality antecedents on e-service recovery satisfaction moderated by perceived justice. In total, responses from 399 e-banking customers, who had experienced a e-service failure, were recorded using a 5-point Likert scale with a structured questionnaire. Findings: The perceived e-service recovery quality antecedents identified were perceived information quality, digital commitment, perceived employee performance and perceived service orientation of organization. The empirical results revealed that perceived information quality was the most significant predictor of e-service recovery satisfaction. Perceived justice moderates the relation between perceived service recovery quality and e-service recovery satisfaction. Research limitations/implications: The research does not contemplate the e-service recovery satisfaction of customers who have undergone multiple service failures. Practical implications: The conclusions of the investigation suggest that the four antecedents of perceived e-service recovery quality model are suitable instruments for creating benchmarks for e-service recovery satisfaction for banks, and that perceived justice moderates the relationship between e-service recovery quality and e-service recovery satisfaction. Therefore, policymakers in banks can use this model to assess the e-service recovery quality, and they ought to enhance the perceived justice feel of the customers who have experienced a service failure. Originality/value: There remains scarcity of empirical research focusing on perceived information quality and digital commitment as antecedents of perceived e-service recovery quality and its effect on e-service recovery satisfaction in the banking context. Furthermore, similar studies within the banking sector have rarely considered perceived justice as a moderator variable. Hence, this paper attempts to accomplish the research gap by empirically testing the e-service recovery satisfaction level of a large sample of the population toward four antecedents of perceived e-service recovery quality rendered by banks and create a benchmark model to ascertain e-service recovery satisfaction. 2020, Emerald Publishing Limited.</text>

<text>Blockchain technology is changing the supply chain face by removing the trust-related issues among the vendors and customers. The agriculture supply chain consists of products from the farms to the customers. In this process, traceability plays a vital role in tracking and tracing the products in the entire supply chain. This research aims to identify traceability factors for adopting blockchain using stakeholders theory. Five factors privacy, decentralised database, reduced transaction costs, secured database, shared database are identified from the extensive literature review and the influence of these factors is measured on the blockchain adoption and traceability in agriculture supply chain. The results of the study show a positive influence of these five factors on the blockchain adoption and traceability in agriculture supply chain. The study will motivate the managers of agriculture supply chain for the blockchain adoption for enhancing the traceability. Copyright 2025 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.</text>

<text>The transference of the surface seismic wave at the loosely bonded common interface of a visco-piezo composite structure is examined in the current work. With the flexoelectric effect taken into account, the structure is composed of a viscoelastic layer embedded on a piezoelectric substrate. The shear stiffness of the upper layer is thought to be described by a KelvinVoigt model. An analytical separable of variable method is used to derive the complex dispersion relation for both electrically open and short circuit scenarios. A numerical example is presented to demonstrate the significant influence of several influencing parameters on the wave's phase velocities and attenuation coefficients. Additionally, a graphic comparison of three rheological models the Maxwell, Newton and KelvinVoigt models is covered. Results indicate that the attenuation curve pertaining to the Maxwell and Newton model is lowest than on the KelvinVoigt model. Some major outcomes are highlighted here as: the prominent influence of bonding parameter is well-proportional to the phase velocity and inversely proportional to the attenuation coefficient, and flexoelectricity has an intensive impact on both phase velocity and attenuation coefficient curves. This theoretical study leads to understanding the piezo-flexo coupling and its potential application to design the sensors, actuators, energy harvesters and nano-electronics. 2024 Wiley-VCH GmbH.</text>

<text>Higher education around the world has moved to online teaching due to COVID-19 pandemic. Students in higher education are compelled to attend online classes and adopt e-learning mode. There is not much evidence on training the students to adopt e-learning and remote learning. However, do they have a positive attitude towards e-learning and has it affected their academic performance? Present study administered an e-learning attitude scale to 840 students of a reputed University to examine whether they have positive or avoidance attitude to e-learning and also analysed e-learning attitude across students demographic characteristics. Study revealed a slight positive correlation between e-learning attitude and academic achievement of postgraduate students and not for undergraduate students. Girls excelled in their achievement and have a more positive e-learning attitude than boys have. Boys showed avoidance e-learning attitude. However, Socio Economic Status (SES) did not affect students e-learning attitude but influenced their academic achievement. Study concludes that stakeholders must create more opportunities to develop a positive attitude towards e-learning as future education is likely to be technology integrated. 2022 by the authors.</text>

<text>Purpose: The present study examines the association between the choices of casual footwear attributes of women in accordance with their behavioral pattern. Design/Methodology/Approach: Data was collected from 2365 women through a questionnaire that comprised of two sections. The first section comprised of 50 AIO statements based on which the respondents were profiled according to their behavioural patterns. The second section comprised of selected footwear and store attributes. The consumers were profiled into eleven clusters using factor analysis. The regression scores were used to assign the respondents to the respective components that were extracted through factor analysis. Reliability Test and KMO Test were conducted to check the reliability and adequacy of the sample size. Further, only those variables that qualified the collinearity test were alone subject to regression analysis. Through ANOVA test, it was observed that significant differences existed among the consumers within the clusters. Therefore, the AIO statements were considered as independent variables that were regressed against ten selected footwear attributes. Findings: The Results indicated that consumers with different behaviors had varied preferences towards footwear attributes. Practical Implications: The results of the study indicate that the manufacturers in the footwear sector should revisit their existing strategies and target the consumers on the basis of their behavior as the proliferation of the unorganized sector is very high in this sector. Original Value: There are innumerable literatures that focus on trade policies followed in the footwear market in international countries, treatment of workers in the footwear industry, therapeutic use of footwear, supply chain patterns etc., but hardly any significant study that explores the consumers' behaviour and their association towards their footwear preferences has been conducted. Behavioral segmentation has been used in many other products like apparels, insurance, real estate etc., but not in the footwear sector. The present study is an attempt to fill this gap.</text>

<text>This study examines intersectional representation in animated films through the characters of the Witch of the Waste (Howls Moving Castle) and Yubaba (Spirited Away), positioning them within discourses on fatness, queerness, and the reimagining of witchcraft as a metaphor for neurodivergence. Both characters reify camp aesthetics (a style characterised by excess, artifice, and a self-aware sense of extravagance) through exaggerated mannerisms, grandiose expressions, and theatrical speech, a feat made possible by the medium of animation, which enhances these characteristics beyond what live-action film can achieve. They are perceived as Other because their bodies are rendered disruptive to dominant social norms. Drawing on Sara Ahmeds Cultural Politics of Emotion, this study explores how these witches evoke fear, disgust and discomfort, mainly through their unruly corporeality and deviation from socially sanctioned expression. Fatness, neurodivergence, and queerness, like the abject, exist on the threshold of the acceptable, simultaneously provoking fascination and repulsion. These traits are further entangled with the logic of ethnonationalism, which upholds idealised bodily forms as markers of morality, and national superiority. This study reveals how Studio Ghiblis witches challenge dominant norms while also reflecting broader cultural anxieties about bodies that refuse to conform. The witches also channel the contradictions of the postwar maternal body, tasked with care, burdened with trauma, and shaped by national expectations of productivity and restraint. Ultimately, they offer a lens into how animated media navigates the politics of the body, excess, and deviance, contributing to broader discussions of intersectional representation in film and television. 2025 Australian National University, Dept. of Gender, Media and Cultural Studies. <text>This paper empirically investigates the impact of exchange rate volatility on the real exports in India using the ARDL bounds testing procedure proposed by Pesaran et al. (2001). Using annual time series data, the empirical analyses has been carried out for the period 1970 to 2011. The study results confirm that real exports are cointegrated with exchange rate volatility, real exchange rate, gross domestic product and foreign economic activity. Our findings indicate that the exchange rate volatility has significant negative impact on real exports both in the short-run and long-run, implying that higher exchange rate fluctuation tends to reduce real exports in India. Besides, the real exchange rate has negative short-run and positive long-run effects on real exports. The empirical results reveal that GDP has a positive and significant impact on India's real exports in the long-run, but the impact turns out to be insignificant in the short-run. In addition, the foreign economic activity exerts significant negative and positive impact on real exports in the short-run and long-run, respectively. 2013 Growing Science Ltd. <text>This article aims to examine the influence of international trade wars on the majority of stock market operations, both directly and indirectly affected. The impact of the trade war on the exchange rates of the participating countries was similarly negative. This article seeks to trace the conversion standards' footprints in the United States, China, and India using several indexes such as the Shanghai Composite Index, Dow Jones index, and Nifty 50. The cost of closing down various indices on a daily basis, as well as the conversion standard upsides of the participating currencies, are all examined in this study. Furthermore, utilizing the OLS and GARCH models, this work provides insights into measuring the uncertainties about the impact of exchanging scale on financial exchange. According to the findings of OLS, changes in the swapping scale have had a minor impact on the daily closing costs of stock records in the individual countries. The conversion standard, on the other hand, has a major impact on trade volumes in all three stock markets. When compared to the SSE and DJI equities, the GARCH model predicts that the contingent shift will be less shocking, resulting in a smaller impact on Nifty trade volume. To replicate the impact of trade wars during the Covid-19 crisis, the final results imply that data from domestic and international financial transactions must include securities market transactions. <text>Excited state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT) organic luminophores with excitation wavelength-dependent color tunability have drawn significant attention due to their exceptional photoluminescent properties in solution and solid state. A novel salicylaldehyde-based Schiff's base molecule, (E)-N'-(3,5-dibromo-2-hydroxybenzylidene)benzohydrazide (BHN) exhibited stimuli (excitation wavelength and pH) induced changes in fluorescence properties which was utilised for applications like trace level water sensing in organic solvents (THF, acetone and DMF), detection and quantification of biogenic amines and anticounterfeiting. In the solution state, BHN rendered a ratiometric detection and quantification of ammonia, diethylamine and trimethylamine, which is further supported by DFT studies. The photoluminescent response of BHN towards various biogenic amines was later utilised to monitor shrimp freshness. The investigation carried out highlights the potential versatility of ESIPT hydrazones, which renders multi stimuli responsive behaviour that can be utilised for water sensing, anticounterfeiting and the detection and quantification of biogenic amines. 2023 Elsevier Ltd</text>

<text>We have investigated the role of a few prominent excitation mechanisms viz. collisional excitation, recombination, continuum fluorescence, and Lyman beta fluorescence on the O i line spectra in Herbig Ae/Be stars. The aim is to understand which of them is the central mechanism that explains the observed O i line strengths. The study is based on an analysis of the observed optical spectra of 62 Herbig Ae/Be stars and near-infrared spectra of 17 Herbig Ae/Be stars. The strong correlation observed between the line fluxes of O i ?8446 and O i ?11287, as well as a high positive correlation between the line strengths of O i ?8446 and H? suggest that Lyman beta fluorescence is the dominant excitation mechanism for the formation of O i emission lines in Herbig Ae/Be stars. Furthermore, from an analysis of the emission line fluxes of O i ??7774, 8446, and comparing the line ratios with those predicted by theoretical models, we assessed the contribution of collisional excitation in the formation of O i emission lines. 2018 The American Astronomical Society. <text>Fluorescent probes incorporating the excited-state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT) phenomenon have emerged as versatile tools in scientific research. These probes exhibit dual emission, resulting from the unique transfer of a proton within the molecule upon excitation. This property makes ESIPT-based Schiff bases highly attractive for metal detection, cell imaging, and sensing biologically important molecules. In metal detection, the spectral changes of ESIPT-based Schiff bases upon interaction with metal ions enable the development of sensitive and selective sensors. For cell imaging, their photophysical properties make them ideal for labeling cellular components and facilitating multicolor imaging. In sensing biomolecules, ESIPT-based Schiff bases offer selective detection of interactions and enzymatic activities. Integration of these probes holds great promise for applications in environmental monitoring, biomedical research, and healthcare. This review focuses on the photoluminescent properties and application of ESIPT dual emission Schiff bases for sensing of metal ions, biologically relevant molecules and cell imaging. 2023 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.</text>

<text>The intricate molecular architecture of ESIPT salicylaldehyde Schiff bases facilitates dynamic processes, inducing tunable photoluminescent properties. Notably, their halochromic nature, exhibiting colour changes in response to external stimuli, adds a vibrant dimension to their molecular repertoire. This sensitivity extends to environmental factors, making them valuable indicators for alterations in surroundings. The compound (E)-N-(3,5-dibromo-2-hydroxybenzylidene)-4-methylbenzohydrazide (PTBH) demonstrates exceptional sensitivity to ammonia, enabling real-time detection (LOD = 0.14 nM) in both solution (ratiometric) and the solid state. Moreover, their metal chelation capability allows simultaneous sensing of Mg2+ and Fe2+ ions, addressing environmental hazards. Exploiting molecular recognition, the fluorescent probe serves as sensors for amino acids, opening new avenues in biomedical diagnostics. The study introduces a novel solid-state emissive Schiff base, highlighting its stimuli-responsive photoluminescent properties and diverse applications, emphasising its potential in intelligent fluorescent materials for analytical and sensing technologies. 2024 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group.</text>
