<text>Glass Laminate Aluminum Reinforced Epoxy (GLARE) composites are widely employed in impact-critical aerospace and automotive structures due to their superior damage tolerance and energy absorption capability. In this study, the influence of Al 2024-T3 aluminum face-sheet thickness on the low-velocity impact (LVI) response and damage evolution of GLARE laminates was experimentally investigated. Laminates with a constant total thickness of 2mm were fabricated using a hybrid hand lay-up and compression molding process, while the aluminum face-sheet thickness was varied between 0.2, 0.3, and 0.4mm. LVI tests were conducted according to ASTM D7136 at a constant impact energy of 19.26J using a 3.926kg impactor. Complementary tensile and flexural tests were performed to support the interpretation of impact behavior. The results show that face-sheet thickness significantly affects peak load, displacement, and energy absorption mechanisms. Laminates with a 0.3mm aluminum face sheet exhibited the highest peak load and reduced displacement, indicating improved stiffness and resistance to impact-induced damage, while thinner and thicker face sheets showed higher energy absorption due to increased deformation and interlaminar damage. Scanning electron microscopy and EDAX analyses revealed that optimized face-sheet thickness promotes uniform stress transfer, delayed delamination, and controlled plastic deformation of aluminum layers. The study demonstrates that an intermediate aluminum face-sheet thickness provides an optimal balance between stiffness and energy dissipation, offering valuable design insights for GLARE laminates used in impact-sensitive lightweight structures. <text>This study intends to investigate how copper chill affects the fatigue behaviour of composites made of aluminium alloy A356 and hematite. It was cast by altering the weight fraction particles of hematite (0 to 12%wt in increments of 3%wt) by sand casting method with and without copper chills at its end to get isotropic and homogenous significant characteristics under liquid metallurgical way. The test specimens were prepared in accordance with ASTM specifications. Ducom-type fatigue testing equipment (rotating bending-low cycle fatigue) is used in experiments to examine fatigue behaviour. The micrographic images were taken with a scanning electron microscope (SEM) and interpreted uniform reinforcement of hematite particles, and X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns were used to reveal microscopic details. The existence of the hematite particles and their phases was revealed by the X-ray diffraction analysis. The results show that the composites cast with copper chills have significantly greater fatigue strength than the casting obtained without copper chills. It was also observed that at 9%wt, copper chilled composite shows improve in fatigue strength about 10.2% as compared without chilled composites. <text>The landscape of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting and investment choices in India remains largely unexplored. This study investigates the relationship between ESG reporting and investment choices from a fast-emerging market such as India by conducting a comparative analysis of ESG indices in India, including the Nifty 100 Enhanced ESG Index., Nifty 50, and other safe-haven assets, such as gold, silver, and 10-year Treasury bond yield. From the results, it has been found that the average returns of the Nifty50 and Nifty100 ESG index are higher than the other assets, such as gold, silver, and 10-year treasury bonds. The results of the Generalized Autoregressive Conditional Heteroscedasticity (GARCH) model confirm the presence of volatility clustering in all study samples. Exponen-tial GARCH (E-GARCH) indicates a presence of leverage effect only for the equity indices Nifty 50 and Nifty100 ESG Enhanced index. The outcome of the Threshold GARCH (T-GARCH) signifies that bad news has a significant effect on volatility on Nifty 50, Nifty 100 ESG Enhanced, Silver, and Treasury bonds compared with good news except for gold. Thus, the findings of the study infer that investors could generate better returns by investing in companies that practice ESG. It also provides more avenues for the companies to raise capital, which strongly reports ESG prac-tices. The outcome of the results can help investors diversify their portfolios and rebalance their investment strategies. The Author(s).</text>

<text>The advent of Augmented Reality (AR) has sparked an interest in the capability of redesigning the experiences of consumers. This paper examines the effects of AR on Consumer Experience (CE) and the mediator of Perceived Usefulness (PU). The study utilizes the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to identify the conceptual model based on the Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) with the data obtained in the sample of 311 participants. The results indicate that Augmented Reality has great power over Consumer Experience as elements such as engagement in Augmented Reality inspire a realistic effect on users. The results indicate that Perceived Usefulness plays a minor moderating role in the relationship between Augmented Reality and Consumer Experience, which suggests that the idea of perceived usefulness should be understood even in the environment full of technologies. Therefore, the research contributes to the existing body of literature because it combines AR experience with the main TAM concepts and offers a feasible justification of PU as an enabler in models of consumer experiences driven by technologies. Basically, the findings suggest that to maximize the effect of AR, creators and sellers should not only emphasize on engaging design but also relate the practical utility of the AR tools to the users by encouraging user interaction and awareness. 2026, Iquz Galaxy Publisher. <text>Green bonds have emerged as a key instrument in sustainable finance, but their risk-return profile remains poorly understood. This study examines the risk-return profile of green bonds compared to traditional markets over a midterm investment horizon. Daily closing prices of five indices (S&P Green Bond Index, S&P 500 Index, S&P GSCI Gold Index, S&P Global Clean Energy Index, and S&P 500 Carbon Efficient Index) from August 2021 to August 2024 were analysed using descriptive statistics and GARCH (1, 1) models. Green bonds exhibit higher volatility persistence and leverage effects compared to traditional markets. There is a significant positive correlation between the S&P Green Bond Index and the S&P Global Clean Energy Index. The S&P GSCI Gold Index exhibits low volatility and no significant leverage effects. Investors should consider the unique risk-return profile of green bonds when constructing portfolios. Portfolio managers should employ sector-specific risk management strategies. Policymakers should consider the potential benefits of green bonds in promoting sustainable finance and mitigating climate risk. This study contributes to the growing body of research on green finance and sustainable investing, providing valuable insights into the midterm risk-return dynamics of green bonds. 2025, Bentham Books imprint.</text>

<text>A fluorescent naphthalene-anthracene dyad (AMN) was developed as a dual-mode sensor for turn-on detection of ammonia (NH3) and turn-off detection of picric acid (PA). AMN initially emits strong fluorescence at 427 nm due to excited-state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT), showing a large 62 nm Stokes shift. Upon PA addition, fluorescence is quenched and red-shifted to 463 nm. Conversely, NH3 induces a red shift to 435 nm. These spectral responses are attributed to ESIPT inhibition via strong hydrogen bonding between the hydroxyl group of AMN and the analytes. AMN has been successfully applied in dipstick-based PA detection and as a low-cost food spoilage indicator for NH3. Detection limits are 8.77 ?M for PA and 5.29 ?M for NH3, with a Stern-Volmer constant of 5.62 105 M?1 for picric acid. Additionally, AMN shows ratiometric fluorescence upon interaction with BSA and ct DNA, accompanied by notable absorption changes. These findings, supported by UV-vis, fluorescence spectroscopy, NMR, molecular docking, and DFT studies, underscore the potential of AMN as a multifunctional fluorescent sensor for environmental and biological applications. 2025 The Royal Society of Chemistry.</text>

<text>An indole-coupled diaminomaleonitrile-based fluorescent chemosensor IMA has been designed and developed for the selective detection of ROS (OCl?) and metal ions Zn2+ and Mn2+via chemodosimetric and chelation pathways respectively. The selective sensing of OCl? is induced by a method of oxidatively cleaving of the imine bond of IMA, forming free indole aldehyde, which results in a 21-fold enhancement of fluorescence at 521 nm, with a detection limit of 2.8 M. On the other hand, the selective binding of IMA with Zn2+ and Mn2+ results in chelation-induced enhanced fluorescence (CHEF) and increased intermolecular charge transfer (ICT), leading to a 4-fold and 3-fold fluorescence enhancement at 432 nm and 435 nm, with the detection limits of 12.71 M and 17.34 M, respectively. UV-vis spectroscopy, fluorescence, DFT study, mass spectra, 1H-NMR analysis, and Job's plot analysis have been used to validate the sensing mechanism of IMA with OCl?, Zn2+, and Mn2+. For practical applications, the binding of IMA with OCl? has been utilized in the detection of commercial samples like bleaching powder and water analysis. Bio-imaging studies were conducted with IMA in the presence of OCl? and Zn2+ using green gram seeds in a physiological medium. 2025 The Royal Society of Chemistry.</text>

<text>A dual-mode fluorescent probe incorporating aggregation-induced emission (AIE) activity, named 2-((E)-1-(((E)-4-(diethylamino)-2-hydroxybenzylidene)hydrazineylidene)ethyl)naphthalen-1-ol (DHN), was formulated and synthesized for the selective detection of explosive picric acid (PA) and hypochlorite (OCl?) via suppression of the excited-state intramolecular double-proton transfer (ESIDPT) mechanism. A significant fluorescence quenching of DHN at 535 nm was observed upon interaction with both PA and OCl? with the detection limits at 0.012 ?M and 2.34 ?M as well as high quenching efficiencies (Ksv) of 3.811 104 M?1 and 1.164 104 M?1, respectively. To elucidate the sensing behavior, various spectroscopic techniques were employed. Interestingly, DHN exhibited AIE behavior in high water content, showing a red-shifted emission accompanied by a visible fluorescence change from whitish green to yellow. As a novel application, DHN was incorporated into a 3D-printed polymer system, demonstrating its practical utility in detecting PA and OCl?. Further, for biological relevance, the interaction of DHN with OCl? was explored for its cytotoxicity against MCF-7 breast cancer cells and its imaging capability in physiological media. Therefore, we believe that the present work provides a promising direction for the future development of optical-based detection of hypochlorite and picric acid in liquid as well as solid phases. 2026 Wiley-VCH GmbH.</text>

<text>A fluorescent sensor, (E)-N?-(2-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzylidene)-3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazole-1-carbohydrazide (HMPC), was designed and synthesized for the selective fluorescence recognition of Zn2+ in semi-aqueous media. Notably, HMPC exhibited a red-shifted, two-fold fluorescence turn-on enhancement in response to Zn2+ at 490 nm, with a detection limit of 1.68 ?M, which is significantly lower than the WHO guideline (76.0 ?M). The binding constant of HMPC with Zn2+ was calculated to be 5 104 M?1. The fluorescence enhancement of HMPC in the presence of Zn2+ is attributed to the suppression of the PET process and the enhancement of ICT, leading to fluorescence via the CHEF mechanism. The sensing mechanism was demonstrated through UV-vis, fluorescence spectroscopy, Job plots, ESI-MS, and DFT calculations. For biological applications, cytotoxicity and cell imaging studies were performed using MCF-7 cells. Molecular docking studies revealed a high binding energy of HMPC (?G = ?7.1 kcal mol?1) with the 4,5-diaryl isoxazole HSP90 chaperone protein, suggesting its potential as an anticancer agent. Additionally, its binding energy of ?6.5 kcal mol?1 with the HDAC8 protein indicates greater efficacy than suberoylanilide hydroxamic acid (SAHA) in inhibiting HDAC, as it binds more strongly to the HDAC8 protein than SAHA (?7.4 kcal mol?1). Furthermore, due to its favorable ADME profile, HMPC may be suitable for oral administration, enhancing its potential as an anticancer drug. 2025 The Royal Society of Chemistry.</text>

<text>Pneumonia is an infection that results in inflammation of the lungs and, if not identified in time, can be life-threatening. The most frequent method of diagnosing pneumonia is chest X-rays; the pictures are scrutinized closely. Pneumonia is still a global health burden. The accurate and timely diagnosis is difficult, especially in low-resource settings. X-rays have served as a primary key for the identification of pneumonia for many years. However, with the recent advancement in artificial intelligence technologies, especially deep learning and machine learning, there's now a potential to automatically detect and classify pneumonia using chest x-ray images. This review examines the research from 2019 to 2024 to understand the current trends and future direction in various deep learning and machine learning models. These encompass the convolutional neural networks, transfer learning methods, combined network designs, explainable AI models, and the use of radiomics with conventional machine learning techniques. However, the three significant challenges remain differences in the data, an imbalance between the classes, and a limited ability to apply these methods in real clinical settings. Based on the review, this paper suggests more future research on machine learning techniques for detecting pneumonia. In this work, a new system is also introduced to improve both case identification and the clinical diagnosis process. The proposed model was evaluated using the Key Parameter Indicator (KPI) as a feature and was compared with an earlier model. Finally, recommendations are provided for future research on trustworthiness, clinical usefulness, and multi-modal AI systems. 2025 IEEE.</text>

The data set of UCI Heart Disease was preprocessed by normalization, imputation, and SMOTE to address the imbalance problem and the variables were optimized with the help of the feature engineering. The model performance was measured using accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score and ROC-AUC. In order to make the results more interpretable, Explainable AI were applied with SHAP and LIME, and the most relevant risk factors including troponin, cholesterol, and blood pressure were indicated.. <text>Microfinance institutions are considered a miracle to reduce poverty, promote empowerment, reducing gender inequality by providing microcredit and other financial services to strata of people outside the ambit of the formal financial system. Such micro-credit and other services lead to promoting entrepreneurship ventures among women leading to financial freedom and economic development of the country. This chapter studied the status of microfinance institutions across all continents and their pace of evolution with respective objectives. India-specific mission objectives and business models of microfinance institutions were dealt with in detail. 200 literatures based on the keywords related to the theme of chapter titles were fetched from the Scopus database and were subjected to cooccurrence analysis using network visualization on VOS viewer software. Microfinance has been identified as one of the important tools for poverty reduction and women's empowerment by promoting women entrepreneurship. 2025 by IGI Global Scientific Publishing.</text>

<text>The purpose of this study is to find out the current status of social and sustainable finance in a global context. A detailed bibliometric analysis was done on Vos Viewer software for the documents fetched with keywords social and sustainable finance retrieved from the Scopus database. Content analysis was done on 50 Indian companies based on Nifty Fifty (Indices of National Stock Exchange of India) based on the themes retrieved from 978 documents in bibliometric analysis. The study found the dynamic and geographically diverse research landscape for Social and Sustainable Finance. Initially dominated by the USA, now moving towards countries like China and India. A strong association between "Sustainable Finance" and keywords like "ESG" and "sustainable development" was found. The study also finds that Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), corporate governance, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) are the most frequently disclosed themes in the annual reports of Indian companies. 2026 by IGI Global Scientific Publishing. <text>This paper introduces an innovative eco-friendly flat microwave absorber designed for X-band applications, utilizing plant waste and recycled materials, thereby contributing to a circular economy. The composite material is composed of 75 % used tea powder and 25 % carbon sourced from discarded batteries. The electromagnetic (EM) absorption performance of the proposed composite has been characterized, revealing enhanced absorption capabilities, averaging around 26.2 % for a thickness of 5 mm, compared to a 100 % tea waste configuration across the X-band frequency range. Furthermore, the results indicate that EM absorption improves with increasing frequency. The environmental advantages of this composite, including waste reduction and a minimal carbon footprint, position it as an attractive alternative to conventional RF absorbers. This sustainable solution shows promise for applications in EM interference shielding and microwave energy harvesting. 2025 European Association on Antennas and Propagation.</text>

<text>The design and simulation of an ellipse-shaped four-element microstrip antenna array for effective multi-band wireless communication are presented in this paper. The proposed antenna makes use of a FR4 substrate, which has overall measurements of 240mm 150mm for a four element antenna and 55mm 55mm for a single element. Simulation of the antenna shows significant return loss at key frequencies: 0.35, 0.5, 1.7, 2.2, 3.6, 5.6, and 9.4GHz, with S11 values below ?10dB. These frequencies cover bands like radar, 4G/5G, ultra-wideband (UWB), global positioning system (GPS), and wireless LAN (WLAN). The antenna achieves broadband operation with good gain values because of the staircase-shaped ground plane and defected radiating ellipse-shaped patch. <text>This paper proposes an integrated strategy to analyse the progress of selected United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 1, 2, and 13) using Earth Observation (EO) data and deep learning (DL) based classification. The research focuses on Mauritius's Black River district, which is facing growing urbanization, agricultural land demand, forest conservation needs, and land degradation. These challenges are closely related to the reduction of poverty (SDG 1) through settlement monitoring, food security (SDG 2) through green farmland analysis, and climate action (SDG 13) through forest cover and bare land tracking. High-resolution satellite images from the Satellogic constellation were pre-processed, classified, and mapped to the SDGs' key land cover categories. A convolutional neural network (CNN) model was trained to distinguish city structures, agriculture farmland, forest land, and barren land, with up to 99% overall precision. DL-based image analysis has the ability to monitor the UN SDGs in specific regions and provide actionable information for the sustainable development plans of small island governments. 2025 IEEE.</text>
