Ground state dipole moment of the derivative was calculated experimentally by Guggenheim method and solvatochromic approach proposed by Bilot-Kawski. The singlet excited state dipole moment of TMPCB were calculated experimentally based on different approaches of solvent polarity function proposed by LippertMataga, Bakhshiev, Kawskii-Chamma-Viallet, Reichardt and Bilot-Kawski. Singlet excited state dipole moment was greater than ground state dipole moment in all the approaches which could be attributed to considerable ?- electron density redistribution. Multiple Linear Regression (MLR) analysis based on Kamlet-Abboud-Taft and Catalan parameters were also studied to correlate solvatochromism and influence of solvents with absorbance and emission spectra. Ground and singlet excited state optimizations of the molecule were also performed using Gaussian 09W software. HOMO-LUMO energies of the phthalamic acid derivative have been obtained using TD-DFT/PCM (B3LYP/6-31G (d, p)) computations and experimentally by using cyclic voltammetry. Mulliken charges and molecular electrostatic potential plot have also been generated from DFT calculations to identify nucleophilic and electrophilic sites of TMPCB. 2017, Springer Science+Business Media, LLC.</text>

<text>Speech Recognition has become an inherent and important feature of today's mobile based apps. Speech input is a very popular option for people with limitations of using the keyboard / mouse in a computer system. Nowadays, more voice messages are used than written text as they also convey the emotions of the speakers. As solutions are developed with native speakers of a language, many of the English input systems have higher accuracy for native speakers than for people with English as their second language (L2), especially for Asian population. The complexity increases since the accent and intonation of Indian speakers are varied from region to region and state to state. This paper analyses an effective speaker adaptation mechanism implemented with Indian speaker profiles and with a very small amount of adaptation data. This research is to facilitate a speaker adaptive system for the speech disabled users with limited disabilities like stuttering and/or unintelligible speech due to illness like cerebral palsy. Experimental results show improvements in the recognition accuracy for speakers speaking small sentences. 2017 University of Bahrain. All rights reserved.</text>

<text>Fluorescent organic semiconducting dots (OSDs) with tunable particle size and surface functionality are synthesized from lignite by chemical oxidation method followed by ultra-sonication techniques and dialysis. The defects and oxygen functionalities play a vital role in the photoluminescent property of the synthesized nanoparticles along with quantum confinement effect. These nanomaterials are suitable for imaging and chemical sensing applications as there is no photobleaching and quenching even after a continuous UV exposure of 24 hours and storage of 2 years. The excellent excitation dependent luminescence of the synthesized carbon dots can be utilized for making a low-cost carbon-based sensor for Cu2+ metal ions sensing. The OSDs show good ratiometric fluorescent sensing and can be used as a reliable probe for the detection of Cu2+ ions. They exhibit excellent detection limit of copper ion in acidic solution to a very low concentration of 0.0089 nM. The fluorescent nanodots synthesized from such an abundant and cost-effective precursor exhibiting high copper ion sensitivity is being reported for the first time. 2017 The Author(s).</text>

<text>Many neurobiological abnormalities have been reported in patients with violent and criminal behaviour. Strong associations exist between aggressive/violent behaviour and brain dysfunction. Also, many studies support an association between frontal lobe dysfunction and increased aggressive or antisocial behaviour. The focal orbitofrontal brain injury is specifically associated with increased aggression. Deficits in frontal lobe executive functions may increase the likelihood of future aggression, but as of now, studies have reliably demonstrated a characteristic pattern of frontal network dysfunction predictive of violent crime. The evidence is strongest for an association between focal prefrontal damage and an impulsive subtype of aggressive behaviour. This paper covers dysfunctions in these regions contributing to severe aggressive and violent behaviour, as well as neurotransmitters implicated in the same. 2018 International Journal of Criminal Justice Sciences (IJCJS).</text>

<text>With industrialization and continuously evolving climatic conditions, the urge to practice agriculture with the fusion of technology has become a necessity. In the era of Internet of Things where all eyes are witnessing the evolution of machine to machine interaction, there is also a lack of clarity in considering the type of protocol to be used in building a particular system like Green House. A green house is a regulated environment for agriculture where critical parameters like temperature, light, humidity, ph level of soil can be monitored with the help of sensor systems using Internet of Things protocols. Message Queue Telemetry Transfer protocol was chosen over Constrained Application Protocol and Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol in the experiment conducted in terms of its light weight transmission, resource consumption and effectively providing the different quality of services to detect the temperature and humidity as well as the gas leaks encountered in a greenhouse environment. 2018 Tinu Anand Singh and J. <text>Physical distillation is the major process in crude oil refineries as of now. To ensure quality control in the final products, it is essential to ascertain the true boiling point of the crude oil and the products. The work is mainly concentrated to an industrial crude oil distillation unit. The objective of the paper is to present the simulation and optimisation of crude distillation unit (CDU) along with the analysis of energy saving, using Aspen HYSYS V8.8.2. Different crudes are taken into account, their properties and amount of distillate are analysed. The process optimisation is done in an easier manner using Aspen HYSYS rather than the conventional mathematical method, together with the advanced process control tools; make it profitable in the operation in real-time. The simulation results are validated with the actual plant results. Copyright 2018 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.</text>

<text>In recent years, many of the object-oriented software metrics were proposed for increasing the quality of software design such as prediction of defects and the maintainability of classes and methods. As the word metrics is frequently used for specific measurements taken on a particular process or item and in object-oriented metrics the metrics are the unit of measurements that is used to characterize the data. The fundamental point of this research is to identify the significance difference between software metrics which observes defect prediction and also study about their relation involving in the object oriented metrics that is named as "Chidamber and Kemerer metric suite" which is also known as "CK metrics suite", the number of defects and then finally decide the differences of the metrics in ordering to Eclipse classes as defective and selected with regard to defect prediction. <text>Background: The present exploration deliberates the effect of nonlinear thermal radiation on double diffusive free convective boundary layer flow of a viscoelastic nanofluid over a stretching sheet. Fluid is assumed to be electrically conducting in the presence of applied magnetic field. In this model, the Brownian motion and thermophoresis are classified as the main mechanisms which are responsible for the enhancement of convection features of the nanofluid. Entire different concept of nonlinear thermal radiation is utilized in the heat transfer process. Methods: Appropriate similarity transformations reduce the nonlinear partial differential system to ordinary differential system which is then solved numerically by using the RungeKuttaFehlberg method with the help of shooting technique. Validation of the current method is proved by having compared with the preexisting results with limiting solution. Results: The effect of pertinent parameters on the velocity, temperature, solute concentration and nano particles concentration profiles are depicted graphically with some relevant discussion and tabulated result. Conclusions: It is found that the effect of nanoparticle volume fraction and nonlinear thermal radiation stabilizes the thermal boundary layer growth. Also it was found that as the Brownian motion parameter increases, the local Nusselt number decreases, while the local friction factor coefficient and local Sherwood number increase. This means that any user using any website or application has to be authenticated first; this leads to the creation of multiple credentials of one user. Now if these different websites or applications are connected or belong to one single organization like a college or school, a lot of redundancy of data is there. Alo ng with this, each user has to remember a wide range of credentials for different applications/websites. So in this paper, we addre ss the issue of redundancy and user related problems by introducing SSO using OpenId Connect in educational institutes. We aim to mark the di fference between the traditional system and proposed login by testing it on a group of users. 2018 Authors.</text>

<text>The proposed method addresses the general issues of image contrast enhancement. The input image is enhanced by incorporating discrete wavelet transform, singular value decomposition, standard intensity deviation based clipped sub image histogram equalization and masking technique. In this method, low pass filtered coefficients of wavelet and its scaled version undergoes masking approach. The scale value is obtained using singular value decomposition between reconstructed approximation coefficients and standard intensity deviation based clipped sub image histogram equalization image. The masking image is added to the original image to produce a maximum contrast-enhanced image. The supremacy of the proposed method tested over other methods. The qualitative and quantitative analysis is used to justify the performance of the proposed method. 2015 The Science and Information (SAI) Organization Limited.</text>

<text>Cloud computing the most used word in the world of Information Technology, is creating huge differences in IT industry. Nowadays huge amount of data is being generated and the researchers are finding new ways of managing these data. Basically, the word cloud refers to a virtual database that stores huge data from various clients. There are three types of cloud public, private and hybrid. Public cloud is basically for general users where users can use cloud services free or by paying. Private cloud is for any particular organizations and hybrid one is basically combine of both. Cloud offers various kind of services such as IAAS, PAAS, SAAS where services like platform for running any application, accessing the huge storage, can use any application running under cloud are given. The cloud also has a disadvantage regarding the security for the data storage facility. Basically, the public cloud is prone to data modification, data hacking and thus the integrity and confidentiality of the data is being compromised. Here in our work the concern is to protect the data that will be stored in the public cloud by using the multi-phase encryption. The algorithm that we have proposed is a combination of Rail Fence cipher and Play Fair cipher. 2018 Snata Choudhury, Dr. Kirubanand V.B.</text>

<text>Characteristics of heat transport mechanism in three-dimensional ferrofluid flow past a deformed surface subjected to the Coriolis and Lorentz forces are analyzed. The impacts of Joule heating, nonlinear thermal radiation, viscous dissipation and convective condition are also accounted. The carrier fluid (water) is embedded by Fe3O4 nanoparticles. The boundary layer approximations are employed in problem statement. Stretching transformations are utilized to form nonlinear ODE system from governed PDE system. The subsequent system is treated numerically via Runge-Kutta-Fehlberg method. Effects of relevant parameters on different flow fields are discussed comprehensively with help of graphs. It is established that the heat transfer rate is enhanced due to Coriolis and Lorentz forces. Furthermore, Fe3O4 nanoparticles enhance the Nusselt number significantly in comparison with Al2O3 nanoparticles. 2017</text>

<text>Project management is an important task in business although project is not just confined to business. Due to the uncertainty of the various variables involved in a project, over several past decades research is going on in the search for an efficient project management model. Although numerous crisp models are easily implementable, the potential of fuzzy models are huge. In the case of software development, the variables involved are highly dynamic. In this paper, we propose a ranking based fuzzy model that can prioritize various activities. We use a popular crisp model to test the effectiveness of the fuzzy model proposed. Simulation is done through Java Server Pages (JSP). There is considerable computational and managerial advantage in implementing the fuzzy model. 2018 Authors.</text>

<text>Superstition is a term which is widely used across the globe but, is understood differently by people from different cultures. Superstitious beliefs are challenged by emerging scientific knowledge, and they continue to persist even among advanced societies. In recent years, superstitions are viewed as a belief in luck. The instruments that are available to assess this phenomenon are few and have insufficient psychometric properties. There is a need for developing new standardised measures which explore the complex, conceptual nature of superstitions. A meta-analysis of existing literature was done to explore the existing measures of superstitious beliefs and to examine the relationship between reliability of scales and the various attributes of scales. A literature search was conducted in relevant databases. Suitable transformation procedures for coefficient alpha were used. Meta-regression analysis was done to explore the heterogeneity of data. 41 scales measuring superstitions were analysed. Results indicate that reliability coefficients were from heterogeneous samples. Regression analysis revealed that few characteristics of scales predicted reliability. <text>The solvatochromic fluorescence behaviour of mono-carbonyl curcumin analogues has been studied in ten different solvents ranging from non-polar to polar. The solvent effect on the spectral properties of analogues has been discussed. The ground state dipole moments were estimated experimentally by Bilot-Kawski equation which is a function of Stokes shift with the solvent polarity parameters and Guggenheim method and theoretically by TD-DFT studies. The excited state dipole moment was determined using Bilot-Kawski equations. The excited state dipole moments for the two molecules were found to be higher than their corresponding ground state dipole moments. Theoretically Frontier molecular orbital (HOMO/ LUMO) energies were determined by Gaussian 09 W software using TD-DFT. 2018 Oriental Scientific Publishing Company. All rights reserved.</text>

<text>The telecommunication industry has witnessed a tremendous growth in recent times in India. It has not only been limited to voice calls, but also integrated into every aspect of human life. This has resulted in the rapid rise of market players, offering innovative products and services. In this changing scenario, we have tried to design and check a model of various factors such as loyalty, satisfaction and switching barriers (customer relationship management, alternative attractiveness and switching cost) influencing consumer retention strategies in Indian telecom service industry. A structured and undisguised questionnaire and a convenient sampling method have been used to collect the data from respondents from three most populous cities (Indore, Bhopal, and Ujjain) of Central India. Around 450 questionnaires were distributed, out of which 318 usable responses were received for final analysis. The instrument was checked for validity and reliability before the data was analyzed. The hypotheses were tested through Structure Equation Modelling (SEM) for direct effect, and Multiple Moderating Regression Analysis (MMRA) for moderating effect. The results suggested that loyalty, satisfaction, switching barriers and customer relationship management are positively related and have a direct influence on consumer retention, but the relationship with alternative attractiveness has been found weak. Switching cost, as moderating variable, was found to be very effective and showed significant deviation in the relationship between independent and dependent variables. <text>The fnancial markets are found to be fnite Hilbert space, inside which the stocks are displaying their wave-particle duality. Te Reynolds number, an age old fluid mechanics theory, has been redefned in investment fnance domain to identify possible explosive moments in the stock exchange. CNX Nify Index, a known index on the National Stock Exchange of India Ltd., has been put to the test under this situation. Te Reynolds number (its fnancial version) has been predicted, as well as connected with plausible behavioral rationale. While predicting, both econometric and machinelearning approaches have been put into use. Te primary objective of this paper is to set up an efcient econophysics' proxy for stock exchange explosion. Te secondary objective of the paper is to predict the Reynolds number for the future. Last but not least, this paper aims to trace back the behavioral links as well. 2018 Bikramaditya Ghosh, Emira Kozarevic.</text>

<text>Augmented Reality is live, direct or indirect view of a physical real world environment whose elements are augmented by personal computers (PC) that produces the information such as sound, video, designs or GPS data. This paper shows an instructive mobi le application based system model on Augmented Reality which is used to learn subjects like history through augmented videos. The objective of development of this system model is to make the learning interesting for the young generation. Unity 3D and Vufo ria Augmented Reality Software Development Kit (SDK) is used for the development of this model. The prime purpose of this application model is to enhance the learning process with digital technologies. This paper has step by step implementation instructions for the development of augmented reality modeling that can supplement the current teaching-learning environment to generate interest among young generation in less interesting subjects such as History, Geography, etc. 2018 Authors.</text>
