                <text>Water pollution has increased swiftly, especially the dyes from industries that have disturbed aquatic eco-system. Photocatalytic degradation (PCD) is one of the attractive methods to eliminate dyes from industrial effluents. Zirconium phosphate (ZP) nanoparticles were synthesized by combustion method using zirconyl nitrate and phosphorous pentoxide as precursors. The obtained ZP was characterized by powder X-ray diffractogram, Fourier transform infrared, scanning electron microscopy, high-resolution transmission electron microscopy, Raman spectroscopy, photoluminescence spectroscopy, BrunauerEmmettTeller surface area. PCD was carried out using methylene blue as a model pollutant in aqueous medium in the presence of UV light irradiation with different concentrations of dye, catalyst and pH. Higher degradation efficiency was observed in basic medium. ZP is employed as a catalyst to form nitrides from aldehydes using different solvents with different aldehydes.                 <text>The present study validated the green synthesis and characterization of AgNPs using the leaf extracts of Solanum melongena (SM-AgNPs). The efficiency of the phytocompounds in the leaf extract in reducing Ag+ to Ag0 ions was studied. The synthesized SM-AgNPs were characterized by spectroscopic methods and standard methods were adopted for the antioxidant activity, HPTLC, cytotoxicity and antimicrobial assays and pesticidal activity as well. The synthesised nanoparticle was measured to be 20.54 nm which was confirmed by the characterization. The total phenolic content was 5.98  0. GAE/g which indicated potent antioxidant activity. HPTLC profile showed thirteen peaks corresponding to the phenolic compounds with Rf values ranging from 0.05 to 0.95. The average particle size and zeta potential was 75.14 nm-19.8 mV respectively. Cytotoxicity assay of the synthesized AgNP's showed viability percentage of 50.23 at 100 mg/mL. Treatment of MDA-MB-231 cell lines with the SM-AgNPs induced early apoptosis in a greater number of cells. The synthesizedAgNPs were effective against the bacterial isolates Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Shigella flexneri, Proteus vulgaris, Klebsiella pneumoniae and Staphylococcus aureus. High mortality of Bemisiatabaci was observed in the100 g/mL of the SM-AgNPs treated concentrations. The study demonstrated the efficiency of SM-AgNPs against cancer cell lines, microbial isolates and insect pests.  2023 The Author(s)</text>

                <text>Green synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) offers an environmentally sustainable approach to nanoparticles (NPs) production, utilizing plant extracts as reductant and stabilizer. This method helps minimizes the involvement of toxic chemicals, making it an economical and eco-friendly substitute to traditional synthetic techniques. The objective of this study is to synthesize and analyse AgNPs formed from Pachira glabra Pasq. leaf extract and to evaluate their biological applications. This study presents the first report on the green synthesis of AgNPs using P. glabra leaf extract, demonstrating its antibacterial, antioxidant, and cytotoxic potential. In this study, 1 mM silver nitrate (AgNO3) was used for synthesizing AgNPs. The shift in colour of the solution from pale green to brown indicates NP synthesis which was further confirmed by spectrophotometric analysis, exhibiting a peak at 424 nm. Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) analysis was done to recognize the functional groups present in both P. glabra leaf extract and AgNPs synthesized. FTIR analysis revealed key functional groups such as hydroxyl, carbonyl, and amine groups. Peaks were observed in the range of 504 ?3351 cm?1. Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS) and zeta potential of biosynthesized AgNPs showed the size distribution and stability in suspension. Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FE-SEM) revealed that the biosynthesized AgNPs exhibited both cubic and spherical morphologies. Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) confirmed the presence and distribution of silver (Ag) and other elemental contents. The crystallinity of biosynthesized AgNPs was confirmed through X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern. These results helped to characterize the biosynthesized AgNPs. Antibacterial activity of AgNPs was tested against Gram-negative Escherichia coli (MTCC 443) and Gram-positive Staphylococcus aureus (MTCC 3160) bacterial strains, with the AgNPs showing maximum effectiveness against E. coli, exhibiting an inhibition zone of 6.5  1.5 mm. The DPPH assay was used to evaluate antioxidant activity, and the biosynthesized AgNPs demonstrated a scavenging activity of 82.99 %, showing strong antioxidant potential compared to the standard.                 <text>A novel bioactive molecule, 2-(thiophen-2-ylmethylene)malononitrile, was synthesized via a green chemistry approach using thiophene-2-carbaldehyde and malononitrile under sonication in ethanol. The compound was characterized by UV-visible, H NMR, C NMR, HR-MS spectroscopy, and single-crystal XRD techniques, confirming its structural integrity. Computational studies revealed its chemical reactivity, including molecular electrostatic potential (MEP), Mulliken charges, and frontier molecular orbitals (FMO). At the same time, time-dependent DFT (TD-DFT) highlighted key electronic transitions across diverse solvents. Advanced analyses, such as Hirshfeld surface mapping and electron localization functions, identified critical intermolecular interactions involving H?N, N?H, and C?H contacts. Molecular docking with Cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2, PDB ID: 6 2j) revealed strong binding affinity, further supported by molecular dynamics simulations demonstrating complex stability through RMSD, Rg, SASA, and hydrogen bond evaluations. The compound's anti-inflammatory potential was validated in vivo using a carrageenan-induced paw oedema model in rats, showing comparable efficacy to standard drugs.                 <text>Trianthema portulacastrum is a dietary and medicinal plant that has gained substantial importance due to its pharmacological properties. This plant was used for its various healing properties since the ancient period in ayurvedic system of medicine. The green synthesis technique is an eco-friendly as well as cost effective technique which can produce more biocompatible nanoparticles when compared with those fabricated by physio-chemical methods. Therefore, nanoparticles produced by green synthesis are credible alternatives to those which are produced by conventional synthesis techniques. This research mainly aims to produce nanoparticles with the methanolic leaf extract of T. portulacastrum. The optimized nanoparticles were further analyzed for anti-fungal, anti-bacterial and antioxidant properties. Disk diffusion assay was used for the determination of the antimicrobial property and on the other hand, DPPH radical scavenging assay as well as hydrogen peroxide scavenging activity proved the antioxidant property of the formulation. The study revealed that Escherichia coli (gram negative strain) shows greater zone of inhibition when compared with Bacillus subtilis (gram positive bacteria). The nanoparticles have also been reported to show significant anti-fungal activity against the strains of Aspergillus niger and Fusarium oxysporum which proves its desirability for its further use against both bacterial as well as fungal infections.                 <text>Plant-based synthesis of nanomaterials is a more reliable method since it is easy, quick, and environmentally friendly, and it does not require any specific conditions, unlike other methods. For the first time, we report the sensing of metal ions using a fluorescent nano-carbon material via a plant-based synthesis from the medicinal plant, Indigofera Tinctora (L.) (IBLH). This nanomaterial from the leaf extract of IBLH was synthesized by hydrothermal assisted green synthesis method. The as-synthesized sample was characterized by various spectroscopic techniques for confirming the formation of nano-carbon material. Optical studies revealed that IBLH was influential in determining toxic heavy metal ions (Pb2+). Detection of Pb2+ was observed from a range of 1 Molar to as low as 1Nano-Molar using IBLH as the probe.                 <text>Pollution and global warming are a few of the many reasons for environmental problems, due to industrial wastes and greenhouse gases, hence there are efforts to bring down such emissions to reduce pollution and combat global warming. In the present study, zinc oxide nanoparticles are green synthesized using cow dung as fuel, through combustion. Synthesized material was characterized by FTIR, XRD, UV, and FESEM. The as-prepared ZnO-GS NPs were employed as a transesterification catalyst for the preparation of biodiesel from discarded cooking oil. The biodiesel obtained is termed D-COME (discarded cooking oil methyl ester), which is blended with 20% commercial diesel (B20). Additionally, this blend, i.e., B20, is further blended with varying amounts of as-prepared ZnO-GS NPs, in order to ascertain its effects on the quality of emissions of various greenhouse gases such as hydrocarbons, COx, NOx. Moreover, the brake thermal efficiency (BTHE) and brake specific fuel consumption (BSFC) were studied for their blends. The blend (B20) with 30 mg of ZnO-GS, i.e., B20-30, displays the best performance and reduced emissions. Comparative studies revealed that the ZnO-GS NPs are as efficient as the ZnO-C NPs, indicating that the green synthetic approach employed does not affect the efficiency of the ZnO NPs.  2022 by the authors.                 <text>Antibiotic-resistant microorganisms are a rising issue when it comes to human health. Microbial pathogens that cause harmful infections are quickly becoming resistant to the antimicrobial action of traditional antibiotics. Nanotechnology, an innovative sector being an indispensable part of healthcare and research, has in-depth and extensive applications. Nano-compounds have been promising antimicrobial agents, anti-cancerous mediators, vehicles for drug delivery, formulations for functional foods, identification of pathogens, food and drug packaging industry, and many more. However, the chemical synthesis of nanoparticles (NPs) has certain drawbacks such as causing toxicity and other adverse effects. For more than a decade, the use of NPs that are conjugated or green-synthesized has gained popularity due to the two-fold action of metallic NPs mixed with biological sources. In contrast, NPs synthesized using plant or microbial extracts, conjugated with biologically active components, appear to be a safe alternative approach as they are environmentally friendly and cost-effective. Such environmentally safe techniques are referred to as "green nanotechnology"or "clean technology"and are feasible alternatives to chemical methods. Furthermore, NPs conjugated with natural biomolecules have improved bioavailability and have minimal side effects, as they are smaller in size and have higher permeability in addition to being reducing and stabilizing agents possessing excellent antioxidant activity. NPs serve as potential antimicrobial agents due to their affinity towards sulphur-rich amino acids, adhere to microbial cell walls by means of electrostatic attraction, and disrupt the cytoplasmic membrane along with the nucleic acid of microbes. They possess anticancer activity owing to oxidative stress, damage to cellular DNA, and lipid peroxidation.                 <text>The present study focuses on the green-mediated synthesis of pristine and Sm3+-doped ZnO nanoparticles using Syzygium cumini fruit extract. The prepared material was characterized by various characterization techniques. Photocatalytic degradation of a fast orange red (FOR) dye under UV light resulted in 88% degradation, with a minimal decrease (87.90%) observed even after five successive runs, indicating the stability and effectiveness of the catalyst. The enhancement in degradation efficiency is attributed to the incorporation of Sm3+ ions into the ZnO lattice. Utilizing the optimized Sm3+ (5 mol%)-doped ZnO nanoparticles, cyclic voltammetry (CV) and electrochemical impedance spectra (EIS) were performed on the prepared electrode, demonstrating the excellent CV properties; this enhancement is attributed to the modification of ZnO's redox chemistry and the alteration of charge transfer kinetics at the electrode-electrolyte interface due to the addition of Sm3+ into the ZnO structure. The antibacterial activity was performed against two pathogenic strains, i.e., Escherichia coli and Streptococcus aureus.                 <text>Since ages, catalysts have played a pivotal role in accelerating the production and lowering the cost of a plethora of industrially important commodities. The latest in the scenario are nanocatalysts, which offer a wide array of advantages ranging from improved reaction rates to higher rates of recyclability. However, factors such as stability and support systems must be fine-tuned to achieve maximum efficiency. In accordance with the principle of sustainability, green synthesis methods have propelled the development of a range of nanocatalysts that can be applied in various domains, such as the food industry and biofuel production. Simultaneously, heterogeneous catalysis is gaining more attention globally, primarily due to the ease of recoverability of the nanocatalysts and in this context, magnetically retrievable nanocatalysts are indeed a boon for the green synthesis and sustainable production. Nanocomposites combining plasmonic and catalytic components with noble metal nanoparticles (Au and Ag) and doped semiconductor nanostructures have gained interest in recent years owing to their utility in multiple sectors by virtue of their ability to convert sunlight to chemical energy. This has given rise to widespread environmental impacts implying that the green concept includes sustainable strategic protocols committed to ethical consumerism and corporate social responsibility. The key operative word is sustainability in all aspects of business from design to delivery. An effective component of strategy is innovation, coupled with transparency. Education of the customers on environmental issues ensures their loyalty and enhances brand image. A Nielson report testifies that consumers are attracted more to products from companies behaving like good corporate citizens providing them with competitive advantages and leading to cost savings. Moreover, positive engagement in legal requirements keeps it ahead of risks associated with environmental laws. Two considerations on strategies are projected upfront.                 <text>Using an investor-centric approach, the present study examines investors' investment patterns toward green financing and factors influencing investor preferences, motivations regarding green investments, decision-making processes, and the development of green finance in the Indian financial sector. The objectives of the paper are twofold: first, using the bibliometric coupling, we identified the thematic clusters within green finance literature, revealing emerging trends and gaps and second, the impact of investors awareness and engrossment levels on their participation in green investments, especially in the Indian financial sector. The quantitative and qualitative methods employed in this study offered insights into how green finance is changing in India and what it means for sustainable development. The findings highlighted an intriguing pattern: youth investors, who have greater engagement and are more inclined toward green finance than their older counterparts. This tendency among the younger generation is not just a one-off event but reflects more significant changes in socioeconomic conditions and a growing awareness of environmental issues. It becomes clear that younger investors are aware of the need to protect the environment and are skilled at assessing the long-term sustainability and financial strength of green investment portfolios.                 <text>The key focus of the current study is implementation of an automated semantic segmentation model to localize and extract bone regions from digital X-ray images. Methods: The proposed segmentation framework uses a pre-processing stage which follows convolutional neural network (CNN) obtained segmentation stage to extract the bone region from X-ray images, mainly for diagnosing critical conditions such as osteoporosis. Since the presence of noise is critical in image analysis, the X-ray images are initially processed with a grey wolf optimization (GWO) guided non-local means (NLM) denoising. The segmentation stage uses a Multi-Res U-Net architecture with attention modules. Findings: The proposed methodology shows superior results while segmenting bone regions from real X-ray images. The experiments include an ablation study that substantiates the need for the proposed denoising approach. Several standard segmentation benchmarks such as precision, recall, Dice-score, specificity, Intersection over Union (IOU), and total accuracy have been used for a comprehensive study. The proposed architectural has good impact compared to the state-of-the-art bone segmentation models and is compared both quantitatively and qualitatively. Novelty: The denoising using GWO-NLM adaptively chose the denoising parameters based on the required conditions and can be reused in other medical image analysis domains with minimal finetuning.                 <text>Over the past two decades, assessing future price of stock market has been a very active area of research in financial world. Stock price always fluctuates due to many variables. Thus, an accurate prediction of stock price can be considered as a tough task. This study intends to design an efficient model for predicting future price of stock market using technical indicators derived from historical data and natural inspired algorithm. The model adopts Elman neural network (ENN) because of its ability to memorize the past information, which is suitable for solving stock problems. Trial and error-based method is widely used to determine the parameters of ENN. It is a time-consuming task. To address such an issue, this study employs Grey Wolf optimization (GWO) algorithm to optimize the parameters of ENN. Optimized ENN is utilized to predict the future price of stock data in 1day advance. To evaluate the prediction efficiency, proposed model is tested on NYSE and NASDAQ stock data. The efficacy of the proposed model is compared with other benchmark models such as FPA-ELM, PSO-MLP, PSOElman,CSO-ARMA and GA-LSTM to prove its superiority.                 <text>The present study examined the role of grit and decision-making styles in predicting nomophobia among young adults, considering gender and educational differences. The study also tested whether decision-making styles moderated the association between grit and nomophobia. Using a cross-sectional ex-post facto correlational design, data were collected using purposive sampling technique from 323 young adults (aged 1725) through online platforms. Participants completed the Three-Dimensional Grit Scale, the Maximizing Inventory, and the Nomophobia Questionnaire. Chi-square test showed that there was an association between gender and education. Mann-Whitney U test showed that men were higher in grit than women. Men and women did not differ in nomophobia or decision-making styles. Kruskal-Wallis ANOVA showed that grit, nomophobia, or decision-making styles did not differ concerning education. Spearmans correlation analysis showed that grit had a moderate positive correlation with satisficing. Nomophobia had a weak negative correlation with grit and a moderate positive correlation with Maximizing. Regression analysis showed grit as a negative predictor and Maximizing a positive predictor of nomophobia. Moderation analysis indicated that Maximizing style weakened the protective effect of grit on nomophobia, accounting for a small but significant variance in outcomes. The study highlights the interactive role of grit and decision-making styles in understanding nomophobia. Findings suggest that grit alone is insufficient as a protective factor against nomophobia. Its effectiveness depends on decision-making styles, with Maximizing acting as a risk enhancer.  2026 Taylor &amp;amp; Francis Group, LLC.</text>
