The significance of implementing sustainable tourism practices has grown in light of the challenges of climate change and the diminishing availability of resources. Responsible tourism practices prioritize proactive engagement over mere adherence to sustainable practices. Therefore, the importance of responsibility cannot be overstated with the recovery and conservation efforts within the tourism sector. Responsibility should extend to the guests and encompass the environment, staff, and residents. Therefore, the present study aims to examine the potential for homestays to implement responsible tourist practices and maintain resilience. To accomplish the study's objective, an interview was conducted with a homestay owner in Shimla and Ratnari. Based on the author's understanding and the available literature on responsible tourism, there appears to be a dearth of studies about applying responsible tourism principles within the context of homestays. The Internet of Things (IoT) based intelligent medical system possesses sensitive and private patient data. Most data relates to the patient's medical records and highly sensitive information. For this reason, safety and confidentiality of information are crucial. The preservation of patient privacy when sharing medical data is the primary concern of this study. Due to their excellent performance, biological notations based on deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) are becoming increasingly admired for guaranteeing encryption and image protection. This paper proposes lightweight homomorphic with DNA-based medical image encryption (HDNA_MIE) for heterogeneous IoT in edge computing. The proposed approach contains two steps: In the first step, the secure DNA keys are generated using lightweight operations such as shifting and Josephus ring-based permutation (JRP). In the second step, the lightweight homomorphic cryptographic algorithm with DNA sequence-based encryption algorithm is suggested for secure encryption. The suggested strategy is evaluated using computational time and statistical analysis with several measures to determine its efficacy. The experimental findings of the proposed strategy exhibited a high level of security and a noticeable enhancement in the Number of Pixels Change Rate (NPCR), Unified Average Changing Intensity (UACI) and encryption processing time. Hook-up culture among young Indian adults in Indian metropolitan cities

This study aimed to explore the existence of hook-up behaviour among emerging adults in the Indian metropolitan cities of Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata. The study used a survey design. The sexual behaviour subsection of the Sexual Behaviour Questionnaire was used to assess the frequency of the various types of hook-up behaviour. The results indicated that the participants frequency of hook-up behaviour was 55.13%. Overall hook-up behaviour was higher for males, whereas females reported the highest incidence of hook-up behaviour for kissing. Hook-up behaviour was highest for emerging adults living independently in apartments, followed by those living in paying guests/hostels and living with family. In the present times of pandemic, human life has suffered not only from physical stresses but also encountered and endured several mental stresses. In recent times people adopted several measures to bring positivity to their life. The present study explores the relationship between- Hope, Belief in Just World, Covid ?19, and Trust in the Government in India, during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Data was collected online from young adults, via Google forms, using the tools- Adult Hope scale, Covid Anxiety scale, Belief in Just world scale, and Trust in Government. Results showed a significant correlation between the three variables. Hope, Belief in Just World, and Trust in government. Regression analysis found these three variables to significantly impact Covid anxiety. Further, Belief in Just World was found to mediate the relationship between Hope and Covid anxiety. During challenging times, it is important to boost mental health in the right direction. Implications have been further discussed in the article. The Author(s) 2023.

An account of the resource
A novel green synthesis approach was developed for the fabrication of a g-C3N4/ZrTiO4/V2O5 nanocomposite (NC) using a hormone-treated plant extract as a biogenic reducing and stabilizing agent. The hormone-assisted synthesis had a significant influence on the physical, chemical, and morphological properties of the nanocomposite compared to the control route. The obtained NCs, confirmed by XRD, FTIR, UV-vis, SEM, and EDX analyses, exhibited enhanced crystallinity, a reduced band gap, and a distinct morphological transformation from nanorods to nanocubic structures. Elemental composition analysis confirmed the successful integration of Zr, Ti, and V components, improving the photocatalytic performance of the material. The hormone-mediated g-C3N4/ZrTiO4/V2O5 NC achieved an 89.14% degradation efficiency of Rose Bengal dye, maintaining its activity over three successive cycles without notable loss of performance. Furthermore, the photocatalyst efficiently converted degradation intermediates, such as benzyl alcohols, into valuable substituted benzaldehyde derivatives with yields ranging from 75% to 92%, demonstrating sustained catalytic stability over four consecutive cycles. These findings highlight the potential of hormone-assisted green synthesis as a promising and sustainable approach for designing advanced photocatalytic nanomaterials. Studies on AI-driven technologies in PCOS have uncovered a groundbreaking approach to regulating hormones through dietary changes. AI algorithms examine individual data, integrating genetics, biomarkers, and dietary habits to provide a distinct metabolic and hormonal profile. Suggested options consist of adaptable meal plans that can adapt to immediate fluctuations in blood sugar and hormones, maximizing nutrition to regulate hormones, reduce inflammation, and enhance general well-being. Additionally, these recommendations provide predictive insights to enable proactive alterations to ones diet. The comprehensive evaluation of limitations and moral considerations about AI highlights the necessity for human expertise and safeguarding of data privacy. Concrete instances from reality and current scientific investigation demonstrate the capacity of AI to enhance the capabilities of women suffering from polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Proposing the integration of AI into evidence-based dietary practices anticipates a future in PCOS care that is tailored, proactive, and data-driven, with the ability to maximize hormonal equilibrium and improve womens well-being. The genre of postcolonial Gothic questions imperial power structures and exposes the anxiety and violence embedded in colonization. It combines imperial Gothic tropes with regional narratives. This article analyses two short stories by Satyajit Ray, Neel Atonko (The Indigo Terror) and Khagam, examining how Bengali horror fiction uses and subverts Gothic tropes through corporeal transformation. It discusses the babu/bhadralok (westernized Indian men) culture from a postcolonial perspective, and argues that the supernatural transformations depicted in the stories indicate the instability of colonial identity. The human body becomes the primary site through which colonial oppression and resistance are portrayed. Using Homi Bhabhas concept of mimicry, Julia Kristevas discussion of the abject, and Xavier Aldana Reyess analysis of body gothic, this article examines how the stories critique the violence of colonial ideology through postcolonial motifs that situate the white man in a powerless position, thereby challenging established power structures of imperial Gothic. 2026 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group.

The Indian Hospitality Management Institutions has seen a tremendous growth in the recent years, due to the growth of the tourism and hospitality sector a large number of hotel chains has increased their expansion plans to accommodate this growth. Although the development of the tourism and hospitality industry can create greater employment opportunities, it is the role of the education institutions to produce more hospitality graduates. If todays students are to become effective practitioners of tomorrow, it is important to understand the final year hospitality degree students perception towards their future careers in the hotel industry. The purpose of this study was to investigate the career perception of final year hospitality students towards the hotel industry. This paper focuses on a sample of 60 final year students pursuing a hospitality degree at a private university in Bangalore City, India to analyze their perceptions towards hotel careers the researchers used the survey questionnaire. The findings indicated that the students willingness to work in the hotel industry after graduation was high; 41 percent of the students preferred to start their future career in the food and beverage department; awareness of the working environment; perception on internship and also negative views about the hotel careers were highlighted in the study. 2015 American Scientific Publishers. Recommendation systems are fantastic tools for remembering people's ideas in order to gain knowledge more efficiently and selectively. Recently, booking and searching for hotels online has become more common. As it takes more time, online hotel research is growing more quickly. In addition, the amount of knowledge accessible online is continuously expanding. User preferences have a big impact on hotel recommendations. The most effective recommendations may be made by recommendation systems by utilising historical user preference data. To solve this problem, recommender systems have suggested content-based filtering methods. Product recommendations, recommendations for websites, news articles, restaurants, and TV series are all examples of applications for content-based recommender systems. The dataset for this project includes client evaluations of the offered Kaggle profile. Word embedding, word2vec, and TF-IDF natural language processing methods were used for feature extraction. The algorithm shows the user the top 10 suggested hotels based on the user's past knowledge of the hotel's location. 2022 IEEE.

Manufacturing industries consume large amounts of natural resources as inputs to production in order to generate much lower amounts of useful products, leaving a major part of the inputs as by-products which are wastes. Waste disposal, in the present form, has significant adverse impacts on the environment as it can result in pollution of many forms. The present research critically examines the various revolutionary concepts of 'cradle to cradle (C2C)', 'design for green (DfG)', 'triple top line' and 'waste is food' as applied to industrial waste management. The exploratory study examines the prevailing practices and suggests approaches for sustainable industrial waste management. The paper proposes the 'house of sustainable waste management' which is a reference framework for industrial waste management which comprises three parts, 'the hierarchy', 'the pillars' and 'the foundations'. Households play a very important role in waste management policy development and its implementation in any city. This study is done among households of 12 wards in Urban Bengaluru(India). It is observed that waste management is open of the most important issue among households and households in general are not satisfied by waste collection, segregation its transport service and maintenance of public places, provided by local municipal body. Garrett's ranking method is also used to give ranking for various waste management practices adopted by various wards. The results suggest that problems faced by households across the city is not same, also perception towards the policy and practices of local bodies towards waste management differs significantly across the city. Cleanliness of public places and waste collection process should be given highest priority by the policy makers. The study also determines a different perspective towards understanding behaviour of household. the policymakers may use this technique to identify specific geographic areas where immediate action is required. Tackling homelessness is a critical priority after disasters especially in the Western Ghats of India, where landslides are becoming increasingly frequent and severe. This situation has rendered recovery in the housing sector more essential than ever. The present study specifically aims at investigating the recovery in this sector among households impacted by the 2021 landslides in Kerala, India, using Recovery Trajectory Index (RTI). It shows how the dynamic interplay between initial severity of impacts and subsequent delays in reconstruction together can shape the changing recovery status of households. Focusing on four critically impacted wards under the jurisdiction of Koottickal, a village level local government body, the research aims at understanding the current trajectory of recovery efforts. The highest RTI value refers to a slower recovery pace, and the lowest value signifies a faster pace. The index calculation is intended to contribute to prevailing quantitative recovery assessment frameworks for the identification of spatial and household-level disparities in recovery performance in similar hazard-prone contexts. The results highlight the need to prioritize equity in resource allocation, promote inter-agency collaboration to ease financial strain, and maintain a detailed household recovery database.
