Photonuclear reactions play an important role in nuclear physics, astrophysics and in various applications such as non-destructive measurement of nuclear materials (NDT). The study of (?, n) reactions using deuterium targets i.e., photodisintegration of deuterons in addition to all the other (?, n) reactions, is of considerable interest to these fields. In this contribution, we have studied the photodisintegration of deuterons with unpolarized photons. The angular dependence of the differential cross section is studied by expressing it in terms of Legendre polynomials. The analysis of differential cross-section is presented using the model-independent irreducible tensor formalism. 2021

Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to explore the impact of the seemingly entrenched culture of publish or perish on academics and lecturers mental health in academia. From an autoethnographic perspective, personal experiences of stress, anxiety and burnout are articulated and considered in terms of broader system issues within academia. Design/methodology/approach: Using personal reflections on publication pressure and combining that with the broader existing literature on mental health in academia, this paper, like the ones mentioned above, has been written with autoethnography as the research mode. Autoethnography is a research method that allows for profoundly exploring personal experiences but frames them in a broader academic context, thereby allowing for a qualitative analysis of academics mental health challenges. Findings: The pressure to publish in high-impact journals puts a person under a level of mental health stress that includes feeling anxious, feeling like an impostor and suffering from burnout. Therefore, this very unfitting competitive environment requires institutional support and strategies to mitigate the stress associated with publication. Originality/value: This paper offers an autoethnographic view of the mental health difficulties in academia, providing a firsthand account of the emotional toll of academic publishing. This paper fleshes out the burgeoning discourse surrounding mental health within higher education by connecting personal experiences with systemic issues, pointing to changes in culture and structure. 2024, Emerald Publishing Limited.

Major issues and challenges in work life balance is the impact of work life balance (WLB) on quality of life (QOL).
Work-life balance has always been a concern of those interested in the quality of working life and its relation to broader quality of life.
Some other issues and challenges are work-family conflict, impact of work and family stressors and conflicts on the mental health, stress and work life balance etc.
Quality of life refers to the favourableness or unfavourableness of a total environment for people. QOL programs are another way in which organisations recognise their responsibility to develop jobs and working conditions that are excellent for people as well as for economic health of the organisation.
Work ?? Life Balance is a challenging issue for IT leaders, managers and has also attracted the attention of researchers. Work/life balance, in its broadest sense, is defined as a satisfactory level of involvement or ??fit between the multiple roles in a persons life. In this climate managing the boundary between home and work is becoming more challenging.
This study is an attempt to contribute afresh with a new perspective to the field of human resources with special reference to QOL in relation of employees work ?? life balance in IT organizations. It is also an earnest attempt to bridge the gap especially in this area by highlighting the relevance and importance of work ?? life balance and QOL to leadership, senior management, individual and organizations and hoping this study will initiate a series of serious and productive discussion on the subject.
The findings and outcome of this research will be beneficial to the IT organizations in India, which is a flourishing industry and contributes significantly to the GDP of the country and the talent pool of the world The sample consisted of 350 IT employees from Bangalore city. The sample consisted both male and female married IT employees.
The major findings of the study were:
i.Work life balance is having positive correlation with quality of life.
ii.It was found that the PLIW has a significant influence on the overall stress of the employees. The other variable does not seem to significantly influence the overall stress of the employees.
iii.It was found that there was no significant influence of the work life balance on the life enjoyment of the employees.
iv.It was found that there was a significant influence of WIPL and WPLE on the overall quality of life.
v.There is no significant influence of work life balance on the overall impression of the employees.
vi.There is no significant difference of the dimensions of work life balance and quality of life across age groups.
vii.It was found that there was significant difference across age groups for the work/personal life enhancement dimensions.
viii.It was found that there was no significant difference across gender for the overall quality of life dimensions.
ix.Work life balance is having positive correlation with quality of life.
CONCLUSION
IT organizations should come up with effective and efficient work ?? life balance policies and programs, this will help reduce the work ?? life conflict for IT employees. Further IT leaders should take initiative to improve the quality of life of their employees as it plays a significant role in the organization to improve individual and organizational performance.

Mapping of groundwater availability in dry areas of rural and urban regions in India using IOT assisted deep learning classification model

Groundwater is a crucial resource for fulfilling the water requirements of India's rural and urban areas. The heterogeneous nature of geological, hydrological, and climatic factors results in substantial variability in the accessibility of groundwater across disparate regions. The present investigation centers on the cartography of groundwater accessibility in arid zones of rural and urban Indian areas using a Deep Learning Classification Model (DL-GWCM) supported by the Internet of Things (IoT). The introductory section underscores the importance of groundwater in India, where groundwater sources cater to around 80% of rural and 50% of urban water demands. The text highlights statistical data derived from surveys that indicate a notable decrease in groundwater levels. This underscores the pressing necessity for implementing effective monitoring and management strategies. The DL-GWCM is a proposed solution that aims to enhance the precision and effectiveness of groundwater availability mapping by incorporating IoT technology and Deep Learning Classification. The DL-GWCM comprises multiple constituent elements, such as Groundwater Prediction, Water Quality Index, and Conventional Neural Network- Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory (CNNBi LSTM) classification. The process of Groundwater Prediction involves the utilization of past data and environmental factors to make precise forecasts of groundwater levels. The Water Quality Index evaluates the quality of subsurface water resources, guaranteeing their secure and enduring utilization. The Deep Learning Classification Model with IoT technology was implemented for groundwater accessibility mapping in Indian arid zones. It integrates Groundwater Prediction, Water Quality Index, and CNNBi LSTM classification. The model makes precise forecasts using past data and environmental factors, ensuring secure water quality. Using the CNNBi LSTM classification model improves the precision of groundwater availability mapping due to its resilient classification capabilities. These findings suggest that the DL-GWCM outperforms conventional approaches. The mean values of all five metrics for the proposed method are presented as follows: The performance metrics of the model are as follows: Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) of 0.77%, Mean Absolute Error (MAE) of 2.13%, Relative Absolute Error (RAE) of 8.72%, Root Relative Squared Error (RRSE) of 0.92%, and Correlation Coefficient (CC) of 0.92. The results of the proposed methodology facilitate the discernment of regions with abundant or scarce groundwater accessibility, thereby supporting the sustainable management and planning of groundwater resources. 2024 Elsevier B.V.

Organizational Citizenship Behaviour is defined as the voluntary behaviour in which employees go beyond what is formally expected of them to contribute to the well being of the organisation and people involved in it. The present study investigated whether Big five Personality Traits and Psychological Contract have significant influence on Organisational Citizenship Behaviour of employees in Business Process Outsourcing Sector.
Convenience sampling was adopted to administer the questionnaire (questionnaires were administered to the target sample from the business process outsourcing companies that gave permission, and through the online). Judgmental sampling method was adopted for deciding whom to administer the questionnaire. Employees must have worked for minimum 2 years in the present company to complete the questionnaire. 500 questionnaires were distributed and 381 fully completed questionnaires were compiled for analysis (76.2% response rate).
In the present study the dimensions of Big Five Personality Traits ?? Extraversion, Agreeableness, Conscientiousness, Neuroticism and Openness to Change, the Psychological Contract Variables - Relational Contract, Transactional Contract, Employer Commitment, and Employee Commitment, and the dimensions of Organisational Citizenship Behaviour- Altruism, Conscientiousness, Courtesy, Civic Virtue and Sportsmanship were measured on 381 employees of top 10 BPO companies listed by NASSCOM .
The result of the present study indicated that extraversion dimension of Big Five Personality Traits had a significant influence on Organisational Citizenship Behaviour. Psychological Contract variables Relational Contract, Transactional Contract and Employer Commitment had a significant influence on Organisational Citizenship Behaviour.
In this study we have analyzed the implications based on the results found. Some of the implications of the study were the BPO employees high on extraversion, may display more citizenship behaviours towards the organisation. The employees who scored high on the psychological contract measures may result in exhibiting voluntary behaviour towards the organisation.
It is suggested for the future researchers to replicate the study to determine how the findings reported here correspond to the results of studies conducted in other work environments to ensure proper generalization. Future researches also need to consider the moderating influences of person and situation-based factors on the relationship between Big Five personality Traits, Psychological Contract and OCB. Additionally, researcher may consider the respondents position in future studies as findings. A dyadic response from both the managers and employees can be a better study to avoid bias and self rating.

Bioinformatics, the combination of Biology and Information Technology has become a pioneer industry booming worldwide. One of the grand challenges in biology is to understand organizing principles of bimolecular networks. There seems to be a deliberate effort towards uncovering new laws of biological complexity. One of the most pressing needs in this area is the understanding of protein-protein interaction networks and their complexity. Hub proteins- network elements with high connectivity- literally ??hold the networks together. Though several experimental methods have been developed to identify hub proteins, it is important to supplement procedures for pattern recognition to classify/predict hub protein sequences. This research work aims at the classification and prediction of hub proteins of two model organisms- Homo sapiens and Escherichia coli using different computational approaches of pattern recognition such as Principal Component Analysis (PCA), Artificial Neural Network (ANN) and Linear Discriminant Analysis using (i) Class Dependent Approach (LDACD), (ii) Class Independent Approach (LDACIND), and (iii) Normal Bayes Classification (LDANB).

Plasma sprayed 8% yttria stabilized zirconia, i.e. 8Y203-Zr02(8YSZ) coatings with nano grained microstructure are expected to possess superior thermal barrier properties when compared with the coating of same composition but with large micron sized grains in its microstructure. 8YSZ nano powders were spray dried to be converted into easily flowing micron sized (>20 and <100u) plasma sprayable powders. The powders were plasma spray coated on stainless steel (SSL 304) and Aluminium-silicon (Al-Si) alloy substrates.

This invention discloses the favorable influence of nano ceramic coated components on the performance of diesel engines. 150 microns thick yttria stabilized zirconia coatings, with nano grained microstructure, when applied by using Atmospheric Plasma Spray (APS) coating technique, on the piston crown of a 5HP, single cylinder diesel engine, reduces the brake specific fuel consumption (BSFC) of the engine by ~ 20%. The improvement in performance has been established by comparing the performances (measuring the BSFC) of the engine when mounted with (a) OEM Piston and thereafter (b) coated piston.

Thermal instability of Chandrasekhar convection in a micropolar fluid, saturated porous layer is being investigated in this study. The model is confined between two horizon�tal plates of infinite length and separated by a fixed distance. A uniform temperature gradient is provided at the lower plate, while the upper plate is cooled. The study is analysed for both linear as well as non-linear cases to understand the stability, transfer of heat and mass within the model. The study is carried out in extending the model for Rayleigh-Benard and double diffusive convection with external constraints such as in- ´
ternal heat, concentration source, gravity modulation, temperature modulation, coupled cross diffusion and throughflow. The outcome of the study is discussed in detail and presented pictorially through graphs.

The acts of discrimination & exclusion meted out to the people living with HIV/AIDS, and the stigma attached to the condition deprives the afflicted, of their capacity to exercise their fundamental rights and to access basic necessities. Specifically, the suffering of the women stricken by this chronic, incurable malady, the majority of whom from economically weaker sections of our society is very poignant. From the time this pandemic broke out in 1984, world organisations, national and local organisations, both government and non-government have come to the aid of the PLWHA. Some of them cater singularly to the needs of the WLWHA, who are as such more vulnerable ever since the plight of the women living with the deadly disease was brought to light. But as the years went by, there has been a decline in the help extended to the WLWHA. This study is undertaken to ascertain the current state of services and strategies used by the organisations to empower the WLWHA and the challenges faced by the organisations in their endeavours.

Employment in the informal sector has grown rapidly over the years as it requires a limited skill set, limited educational background, and least initial investment. One such vulnerable sector which forms the major portion of the informal workforce is the street vendors. They lack basic facilities to newlinehave a good standard of living. It is observed that they are usually denied newlinevarious opportunities though their contribution to the economic growth and newlinedevelopment is immense. Their unstable income has left them vulnerable to many financial situations and led them into a financial debt trap. This research is carried out entirely from the view of the street vendors. newlineFinancial literacy has gained importance over the years as it enhances and empowers one s financial ability. Financial literacy is promoted through financial inclusion where all the sections of the society come under one roof to avail finance at ease. Basic financial literacy is will aid the users to newlinemake better utilization of financial schemes under financial inclusion. This in turn leads to better financial capability for individuals. It is observed that there is a gap that needs to be bridged between the street vendors and financial accessibility as they lack basic financial knowledge as are from a low educational background in this study. Better financial knowledge will newlinelead to better usage and accessibility of financial inclusion schemes which will result in better financial capability; this concept is being examined in the current study. The identified relationship impact of financial inclusion on financial literacy and financial capability forms an integral part of the study. It is useful in bringing out the gap between the street vendors and their financial distress. The research was designed to develop an instrument. A research instrument to measure variables was built based on previous studies and the expert s newlineconsultation.
