<text>Stablecoins are a foundational innovation in digital finance engineered to maintain price stability by linking their value to reference assets such as fiat currencies. This chapter provides a technical and economic definition of stablecoins, classifying them into fiat-backed, crypto-collateralised, algorithmic, and hybrid categories. Through comparative analysis of USD Coin (USDC), Tether (USDT), DAI, and TerraUSD (UST), alongside recent hybrid and CBDC implementations, it examines stability mechanisms such as 1:1 reserve backing, smart contract-based collateral management, and protocol-defined supply adjustments. Evidence shows fiat-backed stablecoins maintain stronger pegs and market dominance, while crypto-collateralised and algorithmic models face volatility, capital inefficiency, and systemic risk exemplified by UST's collapse. Hybrid models like DJED and JANUS propose innovative stabilisation techniques though largely theoretical. Drawing on market data and case studies, the chapter highlights regulatory, technical, and policy distinctions between private stablecoins and CBDCs. 2026 by IGI Global Scientific Publishing. <text>In this current investigation, a comprehensive exploration has been undertaken to advance the development of Class F fly ash-based Geopolymeric mortar and concrete, utilizing fly ash that has been sourced from the Satpura Thermal Power Station in Sarni, District Betul, Madhya Pradesh, India. The study has systematically investigated the influence of Quick Lime addition in the formulation of fly ash-based Geopolymeric mortar and concrete, with a particular focus on enhancing compressive strength within the constraints of ambient atmosphere conditions. The Geopolymeric binder has been meticulously crafted using sodium hydroxide and sodium silicate as alkaline activators. Systematic variations of Quick Lime dosages (ranging from 0% to 10% by weight of fly ash) have been introduced, and the ensuing specimens have undergone scrutiny for standard consistency and setting time under ambient temperature curing. The outcomes have underscored a discernible trend wherein the judicious addition of 7 to 9 wt.% calcium oxide (Quick Lime) to the fly ash matrix has precipitated a noteworthy reduction in setting time at room temperature, concurrently manifesting a substantial enhancement in compressive strength for Geopolymeric mortar and concrete formulations. The elucidation of the binder's microstructural phases and their chemical characteristics has been pursued through rigorous analytical methodologies, encompassing X-ray fluorescence (XRF), X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM). Cost analysis has also been conducted for 1m of concrete, comparing conventional concrete (M25) and fly ash-based Geopolymer concrete. 2025, National Institute of Science Communication and Policy Research. <text>This chapter introduces the various facets of digital educational neuropsychology. It begins by explaining digital educational neuropsychology and the current practices in digital neuropsychology. It then explains the opportunities and the challenges faced by neuropsychology in digitization of neuropsychology education, training, assessment, and rehabilitation and how it can be improved. The challenges in the implementation of digital educational neuropsychology in terms of access and equity; validity and reliability of digital assessments; training and professional development; variability in the perceptual, motor, and cognitive demands across different devices; and the rapid changes in technology are explained elaborately. A full discussion on opportunities including enhancement of digital education using neuropsychological techniques, neuroscience experimental techniques, in tandem with behavioural measures is provided. Further, the importance of collaborative effort from professionals is required to build more effective strategies for digital education is emphasized. 2024, IGI Global. All rights reserved.</text>

<text>SQL (Structured Query Language) injection is one of the most prevalent and dangerous forms of cyber-attacks, posing significant threats to database management systems and the overall security of web applications. By exploiting vulnerabilities in web applications, attackers can execute malicious SQL statements, potentially compromising the integrity and confidentiality of critical data. To combat these threats, in this study, we introduce two novel CNN models, SIDNet-1 (SQL Injection-attack Detection Network-1) and SIDNet-2 (SQL Injection-attack Detection Network-2), specifically designed for the classification of SQL injection attacks to bolster web application security. Our comprehensive evaluation includes a comparison of the performance of these customized CNN models against traditional machine learning approaches, highlighting improvements in classification accuracy and reductions in false alarm rates. The proposed models have been experimented with two publicly available dataset SQLI (SQL-Injection) and SQLV2 (SQL-Injection version2). Specifically, SIDNet-1 achieves an impressive accuracy of 98.02% on the SQLI dataset, while SIDNet-2 closely follows with 97.54%. Furthermore, on the SQLIV2 dataset, SIDNet-1 attains 97.77%, and SIDNet-2 achieves 97.83% accuracy respectively. 2013 IEEE.</text>

<text>This article manages Darcy-Forchheimer 3D flow of water based carbon nanomaterial (CNTs). A bidirectional nonlinear stretchable surface has been utilized to make the flow. Disturbance in permeable space has been represented by Darcy Forchheimer (DF) expression. Heat transfer mechanism is explored through convective heating. Outcomes for SWCNT and MWCNT have been displayed and compared. The reduction of partial differential framework into nonlinear common differential framework is made through reasonable variables. Optimal series scheme is utilized for arrangements advancement of associated flow issue. Optimal homotopic solution expressions for velocities and temperature are studied through graphs by considering various estimations of physical variables. Moreover surface drag coefficients and heat transfer rate are analyzed through plots. 2018 Chinese Physical Society and IOP Publishing Ltd.</text>

<text>The study analyzed the effectiveness of implementation of the HIV and AIDS Policy for teachers colleges. The policy was enacted by the Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education in 2004 and implemented by teacher training colleges in Zimbabwe. Teacher training colleges were a ready captive audience for the young people with the potential to newlineinfluence behaviour change among student teachers, with a snowball effect to pupils in primary and secondary schools. Despite the newlinedevelopment of the policy, incidences of sexually transmitted infections continued to increase. The objectives of the study were to determine to what extent the HIV and AIDS Policy has been operationalized and its newlineeffects on the sexual and reproductive health of students. Literature reviewed explored the HIV and AIDS policy implementation and quality assurance practices in teaching of HIV and AIDS in the colleges. Effective implementation was discussed within the context of the reproductive health challenges faced by students and access to quality newlineservices. Pragmatism philosophical paradigm was used for the study, since it combines quantitative and qualitative research techniques, methods and approaches into a single study. The population, sample and sampling procedure for the study were defined. Selection of the colleges was newlinepurposive and stratified according to location (urban or rural); administrative authorities (government and church-related colleges). While research questions guided the collection of qualitative data from newlineinterviews and focus group discussions for college authorities and stakeholders, hypotheses guided quantitative data collected from questionnaires completed by male and female third year students and Lecturers. Key informants were selected based on their role in policy implementation at the colleges. Validity and reliability of both qualitative newlineand quantitative data collecting instruments was assured.</text>

<text>In this paper, Kannada handwritten digit recognition system is proposed based on energy features. Ground truth datasets are not available to test the performance of proposed features. Hence, own dataset of Kannada handwritten digits are collected from schools, colleges, business persons and professionals. The digital images are pre-processed using morphological opening operation for removing the noise and bilinear operation is used for normalisation. The normalised image is divided into 16 blocks, and then wavelet filters were applied for each of the 16 blocks and computed the standard deviation for each of them. In this process, a total of 64 standard deviation of the wavelet coefficients are generated of which 48 coefficients are selected as potential features. The average recognition accuracy of 94.80% is achieved using nearest neighbour classifier. The proposed algorithm is free from skew and thinning and it is novelty of the paper. <text>The research presented in this paper offers a solution to the time-consuming task of manual recruitment process in the field of human resources (HR). Screening resumes is a challenging and crucial responsibility for HR personnel. A single job opening can attract hundreds of applications. HR employees invest additional time in the candidate selection process to identify the most suitable candidate for the position. Shortlisting the best candidates and selecting the appropriate individual for the job can be difficult and time-consuming. The proposed study aims to streamline the process by identifying candidates who closely match the job requirements based on the skills listed in their resumes. Since it is an automated process, the candidate's individual preferences and soft skills remain unaffected by the hiring process. We leverage advanced Natural Language Processing (NLP) models to improve the recruitment process. Specifically, our emphasis lies in the utilization of the distilBERT model and the XLM (Crosslingual Language Model). This paper explores the application of these two models in taking hundreds of resumes for the job as input and providing the ranked resumes fit for the job as output. To refine our approach further, two types of metrics for resume ranking, such as Cosine similarity score and Spatial Euclidean distance, are used, and the results are compared. Intriguingly, distilBERT and XLM result in different sets of top ten ranked resumes, highlighting the nuanced variations in their ranking approaches. 2024 IEEE.</text>

<text>The decades of increased Green House Gas (GHG) emissions have increased global average temperature to 1.1 degrees over pre-industrial levels. In order to hold the global average temperature rise below 2 degrees Celsius and, if possible, 1.5 degree Celsius, the governments signed various treaties. However, countries? collective agreements to reduce their emissions were never kept. This study outlines why the method of mitigating global climate change has failed. The main problem was the inability to enforce goals and timelines. Ideas for even tighter emission limits will be ineffective unless they solve the enforcement gap. Trade restrictions are one method, but they introduce significant complications, particularly when used to enforce economy-wide carbon reduction agreements. The applied methodology is qualitative. This study proposes a novel strategy to unpack the climate challenge, targeting various gasses and industries with various instruments. It also illustrates how failing to address the climate problem fundamentally would generate incentives for various solutions, offering new problems for climate change governance. 2023, Institute for Research and European Studies. <text>In recent years, trust has gained significant importance when discussing the evolution of policing. This shift in focus has been acknowledged by scholars, policymakers, and law enforcement officials who are responsible for ensuring public safety. Unlike the traditional emphasis on crime reduction, there is now a shared recognition that building trust is a fundamental objective in the relationship between policing agencies and the communities they serve. This article discusses three commonly employed methods by policing agencies and their personnel to enhance public trust in the police: policy changes, police training, and citizen oversight boards. Further, it focuses to a less conventional avenue for change, which involves re-evaluating the laws enforced by the police. To achieve meaningful transformation within the police system, it is necessary not only to modify how officers perform their duties but also to examine and potentially revise the laws they are obligated to enforce. 2024 Centro Universitario de Brasilia. <text>Cardiac arrest occurs as the heart muscle fails to contract properly, resulting in a sudden loss of blood supply. The ECG signal is one of the techniques for detecting cardiac electrical activity and is used to investigate heart block. In this paper different standardized work for early detection of cardiac arrest is described. Stages of ECG signal pre-processing involves denoised using digital filtering algorithms and extracting different features from clean ECG predicting cardiac arrest in early stage. Several other body parameters were also considered for this purpose. In this work denoising validation parameters were compared for showing effectiveness of the filtering algorithm and several body parameters and its implication on cardiac arrest was described. 2022 Author(s).</text>

<text>Nonsense Literature first came into existence after the publishers of nursery rhymes started using the term to describe the works of childrens literature. It evolved into a genre of childrens literature that is widely accepted for being covertly intellectually stimulating. It uses puns, riddles, trick questions, contrasts in language, paradoxes and oxymorons to raise philosophically challenging questions that break our ideas of conventional patterns of understanding grammar, logic and reason. Nonsense literature is known for defying the rules of conventional linguistics. It plays with the boundaries of what is linguistically acceptable with its wordplay. However, nonsense literature understands and explores the structures of grammar, logic and reason better than any other literary genre. It is the best source of instruction for the ways in which the fundamental structures of grammar can be manipulated to create more structures of meaning which are transformational in nature. It uses the basic knowledge of grammar to create new ideas and rules using devices such as portmanteau and neologisms. Most course syllabi either focus on language or literature, never both simultaneously. Since literary nonsense plays with both linguistic structures in its writing and logic and reason in its story, it becomes the perfect material for teaching language as well as literature in the classroom. 2023, IUP Publications. <text>Purpose: This research investigates the adoption of the industrial Internet of things (IIoT) in SMEs to achieve and increase organizational performance. With the latest technology, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can create a competitive edge in the market and better serve customers. Design/methodology/approach: Twelve hypotheses are proposed for this study. This study constructed a questionnaire based on technological, organizational, environmental and human perspectives. A survey is conducted on the SMEs of India using the questionnaire. Findings: Eight hypotheses were accepted, and four hypotheses were not supported. The hypotheses rejected are infrastructure, organizational readiness, internal excellence and prior experience. The findings suggested that adopting IIoT in SMEs will increase organizational performance. Research limitations/implications: This study will be helpful for the manager, top management and policymakers. This study identified the areas SMEs need to work on to adopt the technologies. Originality/value: In the literature, no article considered IIoT adoption in SME firms as a human factor. Therefore, this study is unique, including human, technological, organizational and environmental factors. 2023, Emerald Publishing Limited.</text>

<text>Purpose: Immunization is one of the most cost-effective ways to save lives while promoting good health and happiness. The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has served as a stark reminder of vaccines' ability to prevent transmission, save lives, and have a healthier, safer and more prosperous future. This research investigates the sustainable development (SD) of the COVID-19 vaccine supply chain (VSC). Design/methodology/approach: This study investigates the relationship between internal process, organizational growth, and its three pillars of SD environmental sustainability, economic sustainability and social sustainability. Survey-based research is carried out in the hospitals providing COVID-19 vaccines. Nine hypotheses are proposed for the study, and all the hypotheses got accepted. The survey was sent to 428 respondents and received 291 responses from health professionals with a response rate of 68%. For the study, the healthcare professionals working in both private and public hospitals across India were selected. Findings: The structural equation modelling (SEM) approach is used to test the hypothesis. All nine hypotheses are supported. This study examines a link between internal processes and organizational learning and the three sustainability pillars (environmental sustainability, economic sustainability and social sustainability). Practical implications: This study will help the management and the policymakers to think and adopt SD in the COVID-19 VSC. This paper also implies that robust immunization systems will be required in the future to ensure that people worldwide are protected from COVID-19 and other diseases. Originality/value: This paper shows the relationship between organizational learning and internal process with environmental sustainability, economic sustainability and social sustainability for the COVID-19. Studies on VSC of COVID-19 are not evident in any previous literature. 2022, Subhodeep Mukherjee, Manish Mohan Baral, Venkataiah Chittipaka, Surya Kant Pal and Ramji Nagariya.</text>

<text>Purpose: Blockchain can track the material from the manufacturer to the end customers. Therefore, it can ensure the product's authenticity, transparency and trust in the retail supply chain (SC). There is a need to trace and track the retail products before it reaches the customers to check the quality of the products so that expired products can be recycled and reused, which in turn will help gain customers' trust. This research aims to investigate retail employees' behavioural intention to adopt blockchain in the retail SC. Design/methodology/approach: To examine the behavioural intention of employees in the retail SC, the research uses three theories the technology acceptance model; the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology; and the theory of planned behaviour. The technology acceptance model measures the employee's acceptance of blockchain in the retail SC. The unified theory of acceptance is used in this research to measure how blockchain adoption will improve the performance of the employees. The theory of planned behaviour is used in this research to measure whether the employees intend to adopt blockchain. A survey was carried out in the retail stores of India. Exploratory factor analysis and structural equation modelling were used for data analysis. Findings: This study found that the employees of the retail stores have a positive intention and attitude to adopt blockchain technology. Further, it was found that perceived behavioural control and effort expectancy was not promoting blockchain adoption in the retail sector. Practical implications: This study will help the retail stores' employees understand the blockchain in their operations and will motivate the top management of the retail companies to adopt this technology. The study is limited to the retail SC in India only. Originality/value: This study uses three theories technology acceptance model; the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology; and the theory of planned behaviour, which were not used in earlier studies of blockchain adoption in the retail SC. 2023, Emerald Publishing Limited.</text>

<text>Service robots create a touchless experience for travellers; therefore, this research aims to conduct a systematic literature review (SLR) of service robots in the tourism and hospitality sector. This study used the Scientific Procedures and Rationales for Systematic Literature Reviews (SPAR-4-SLR) approach for reviewing the articles. One hundred eighteen articles are selected for the final review. A thematic analysis divided the articles into three themes and nine sub-themes. For establishing the future research directions Theory, Methodology, and Context (TMC) framework was used and forty-one future research questions are proposed. The study provides various research implications concerning theory and practical perspective. Different management theories are linked with future research questions. Few review papers discussed the service robot in the context of the tourism sector, but none of these studies used the SPAR-4-SLR and TMC framework. This study comprehensively reviews the articles and provides potential future research directions. 2023 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group.</text>

<text>Purpose: The circular economy is a production and consumption model that encourages people to share, lease, reuse, repair, refurbish and recycle existing materials and products for as long as possible. The blockchain-based circular economy is being used in many industries worldwide, but Indian electronic MSMEs face many problems in adopting a blockchain-based circular economy. The research aims to discover the barriers the electronic MSMEs face in adopting a blockchain-based circular economy and pull back from achieving environmental sustainability in their operations. Design/methodology/approach: Fifteen barriers are identified from the literature review and finalized with experts' opinions. These barriers are evaluated by using interpretive structural modeling (ISM), MICMAC analysis and fuzzy TOPSIS method. Findings: Lack of support from distribution channels, lack of traceability mechanism and customer attitudes toward purchasing remanufactured goods are identified as the most critical barriers.
