<text>With new devices and new network technologies coming up, it has become an inevitable task to provide services of a minimum quality. Setting feasible Service Level Agreements (SLAs) is the need of the hour. This, being a part of network provisioning and providing the best possible Quality of Service (QoS) is very vital and helps improve user perceived quality or the Quality of Experience (QoE). QoE evaluation helps Internet Service Providers (ISPs) understand their user satisfaction better and this goes hand in hand with providing adequate network QoS. Moreover, in this era of competition, the ISPs themselves will have to be evaluated based on their QoE and QoS metrics to know their true position in the market in terms of performance against their peers/competitors. This evaluation is usually done on a per-metric basis. However, we see from current performance data that all the ISPs fare well on some metrics and need improvement in the others. It is a fact that no ISP fares bad on all given metrics and leads to an understanding that per-metric based evaluation may be a biased form of newlineevaluating performance. Hence, this research has attempted to use an intelligent, robust newlinemathematical technique called the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) with its Slack newlineBased Measure (SBM) approach. DEA is a proven, tested and tried technique that is in newlineuse in major industries even today. Being a multiple criterion evaluation methodology newlinebased on linear programming, it works well on multiple outputs and multiple inputs. DEA gives the overall, relative efficiency of the ISPs which gives us the true position of the provider against its peers. The Slack Based Measure provides the Output Slacks that show the potential improvement that the lagging ISPs can make to be in par with their peers/competitors. The Output targets that are provided by the technique can be used as benchmarks for SLAs.

<text>The exponential growth of the capital market witnessed in recent years had resulted in a near complete breakdown of the paper based transaction system. The amount of capital raised has shot up, the number of issues had increased substantially, trading volumes on the stock exchanges had grown several fold and the markets had become institutionalised with the entry of Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) and private mutual funds. As a result, there had been an increase in paper work causing a gridlock at every stage. This delays the clearance and settlement of trades, registration of securities and increases back office paper work for intermediaries. The outdated systems had increased settlement risks and have rendered the implementation of a Delivery versus Payment (DP) system impossible. The systemic risks face further threat by theft, forgery, bad delivery, issue of fake share certificates and loss of certificates. This had eroded investor confidence.

In this scenario, it was felt that the setting up of a Depository and introduction of scrip less trading would improve the efficiency of Indian Capital markets.

Investors also face lot of problems in registering the certificates, and also lose money and time because of fake certificates and bad deliveries in traditional manual method of transaction system. These demerits are reduced in the on-line trading system. Most of investors go to the share brokers to for any of the services to be availed may be professional help or online trading system. The purpose of this study is find out what are the customers expectations from the depository and depository participants, what are the rules to be followed by the depository, depository participants and investors. There may be various factors which may affect the customer while choosing the depository participant.

The study is undertaken to perform the comparison of various Depository Participants in Bangalore City and the customers perception about the Depository Participants. The Descriptive Research and Analytical method is selected for this study as the data will be collected from the sample containing a large number of customers.

Convenience sampling is used for this research. This study includes the investors of Bangalore Stock Exchange in Bangalore city. The sample size will be 200 respondents. The study will take into account the following 5 different depository participants:

Bangalore Stock Exchange

Industrial Credit and Investment Corporation of India (ICICI Bank) HDFC Bank

The Vysya Bank Ltd.

Stock Holding Corporation of India Ltd.

The study also contains certain limitations such as this study will be restricted only to Bangalore City due to time constraint. The study may be limited to the extent of information and materials provided by the stock exchange and the customers.

The major findings of the study are as follows:

?It was found that dematerialisation of the securities is the most favourable among respondents with 39%

?Almost all respondents have rated their DP services either good or average

?It was found that 78% of the respondents do not want to change their existing DP only few want to shift to the new DP

?Most of the respondents prefer convenience as the major parameter for selecting their DPs other factors have less criteria

?Most of the respondents feel that the price charged by the DPs are reasonable and their execution of orders are faster

?Online trading services provided by DP are good and the DPs are approachable in respect of any factors such as to resolve problems

?The access to professional assistance given by the DPs are rated to be good by the respondents

?The respondents have rated that probably they would recommend others to be a member in the particular DP

?	There is no significant relationship between price charged by various DPs and choice of particular DP

?There is no significant relationship between time taken to open an account by various DPs and choice of a particular DP

Conclusion: in todays technological world where technology keeps changing on day to day basis, online trading of securities market has a bright future where Bank DP as well as BSE should to bring awareness among the customers and as well as attract the customers to invest on securities.

<text>Celebrities hold a special place in popular imagination. Their power to inspire fashion, choice of vacation, dictate food preferences and a host of other services is an interesting field of study. Over the years, celebrity endorsement has appeared as a leading advertisement format in developing newlinesuccessful brand campaigns. Celebrity endorsements are grounded on a common belief that endorsers can increase advertisement credibility thereby increasing brand image, awareness, and purchase behaviour. newlineUnderstanding the nature of celebrities as sources in advertisements and promotions is a widely researched topic. There is an abundance of literature on the use of celebrities in commercial advertising with the end goal being sales and profits realised through intermediate outcomes such as brand newlineimage, attitude change, brand awareness and many others. Several celebrities across the world have endorsed social cause campaigns sponsored by governments and not-for-profit organizations. However, the impact of the newlinecelebrity in such campaigns is an under-studied topic. Furthermore, celebrity newlineendorsement studies in the past have largely focused on celebrity endorsement mechanisms related to celebrity s characteristics and the outcomes related to the brand. Not much is being mentioned about fans. This study introduces a new audience-related factor the celebrity-fan para social relationship newlinemeasured using celebrity attitude scale (CAS). Thus, this study extends its context beyond commercial products and positions in the backdrop of social marketing. To achieve the purpose of the study and answer the research questions, the National Anti-Tobacco Campaign endorsed by former cricketer, newlineRahul Dravid was considered for the study. The chosen campaign had high visibility with the social advertisement being aired in movie halls and television channels across several Indian languages. The study focused on newlineunderstanding the influence of source credibility factors on attitude towards newlinesocial cause.</text>

<text>The aim of the current study is on ethnobotanical survey carried out in Koppal district of Karnataka, India. Study focused on exploration of traditional knowledge and pastoral practices of particular communities where livestock rearing activity is potent and use of ethnomedicinal plants in daily livelihood. The landscape was diverse in nature covering semi-arid to modest tropical climate, and unique topography encourage for wide range of vegetation useful for caters to feed the livestock. Methodology used for the study by participant observation, interviews, and transect walks, the study identified 48 plant species from 20 families, with Fabaceae and Poaceae being the most prevalent. These families play a vital role in providing nutritious fodder for livestock and sustaining pastoralists livelihoods. The study resulted pastoralists ethno-veterinary knowledge, where specific plants are used to treat cattle ailments and reflecting their deep understanding of traditional herbal remedies. However, the research finding revealed that some traditional knowledge may be diminishing with the younger generation, stressing the importance of knowledge preservation and transfer. The study underscores the potential benefits of integrating traditional practices with scientific research to optimize the selection and utilization of valuable fodder and veterinary plants. It is evident remarks to add up in the scientific data by collaboration between indigenous communities and scientific institutions for sustainable resource management. 2023, Indian journals. <text>A very important asset for any company in the business sectors such as banking, marketing, etc. are its customers. For them to stay in the game, they have to satisfy their customers. Customer retention plays an important role in attracting and retaining the customers. Customer retention means to keep the customer satisfied so that they do not stop using their service/product in the domain of banking; the banks provide various kinds of services to the customers especially in the electronic banking sector. For this study, we have selected the service of credit card. For a bank to give a loan or amount on credit basis, the e-bank should make sure if its customers are eligible and can repay their money. The purpose of this project is to implement a neural network model to classify the churners and non-churners. 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.</text>

<text>In recent decades, machine learning and data analysis have become increasingly important in mental health for diagnosing and treating psychological disorders. One area of particular interest is the use of electroencephalography (EEG) brainwave data to classify emotional states and predict psychological disorders. This study proposed a data fusion to enhance the precision of emotion recognition. A feature selection strategy using data fusion techniques was implemented, along with a multi-layer Stacking Classifier combining various algorithms such as support vector classifier, Random Forest, multilayer perceptron, and Nu-support vector classifiers. Features were selected based on Linear Regression-based correlation coefficient scores, resulting in a dataset with 39% of the original 2548 features. This framework achieved a high precision of 98.75% in identifying emotions. The study also focused on negative emotional states for recognizing psychological disorders. A Genetic Algorithm (GA) was used for feature selection, and k-means clustering organized the data. The dataset included 707 trials and 2542 unlabeled features. Resampling techniques ensured a balanced representation of emotional states, and GASearchCV optimized Gradient Boosting classifier hyperparameters. The Elbow Method determined the optimal number of k-Means clusters, and resampling addressed class imbalance. GA parameters and gradient- boosting hyperparameters were empirically determined. ROC curves and classification reports evaluated performance, resulting in a high accuracy of 97.21% in predicting psychological disorders. The proposed system employed fuzzy logic to calculate a health score that combines the outputs of the emotional and psychological disorder monitoring models for a multimodal health monitoring system. This
approach provides a more comprehensive assessment of an individual's overall mental health status. The findings suggest that the system achieved high efficiency in predicting emotions, showcasing comprehensive progress in EEG-based emotion analysis and disorder diagnosis. These advancements have potential implications for mental health monitoring and treatment, particularly with the integration of the PHQ-9 Scale and fuzzy logic.</text>

<text>The Indian tourism industry is competing with global destinations through effective and lucrative strategies. Strategic destination branding is one of the finest ways of achieving the frontier. This requires careful analysis of tourists' perception and behavior from time to time and inculcate insights on the branding process. Accordingly, this research work is an extract from a major research that focused on whether the behavioral elements such as tourists' frequency of visit and length of stay to/in the destination influenced the perceived cognitive destination image. Even though literary sources indicated the connection between these factors, a void was identified in terms of the aspects of the cognitive image, specifically in the Indian context. Hence, a district in Tamil Nadu that had high tourist attractions and potentialities to serve distinct tourist motives was chosen for the study. The respondents answered a structured questionnaire that contained the necessary questions and statements on tourists' sociodemographic characteristics, frequency of visit, length of stay, and perception of the cognitive image of the destination. The sample size was rounded to 327 after data cleaning. Simple percentage analysis revealed that the highest percentage of tourists were frequent visitors and stayed in the destination for more than a week. This is a good sign for marketers to increase the tourists' inflow and invest in branding strategies. The multivariate analysis of variance technique of SPSS was employed to analyze the data. The results indicated that despite the frequency of visit and length of stay, some of the cognitive belief aspects remained unaltered. Suggestions were made to the marketers on deploying the cognitive image aspects while designing the advertisement campaigns and including the cognitive image elements in the branding process. Theoretical implications were also indicated on the outcome of this research. Also, limitations were stated in terms of the sample size, research location, and other aspects. Scope for further research was also indicated. 2021, Associated Management Consultants Pvt. Ltd. All rights reserved.</text>

<text>This short communication is an extract from a major research work on understanding tourists experience and post touring behaviour and this portion intended to highlight the role of travel partners in tourists emotional experience at a destination. Intensive review of literary sources confirmed that this aspect was untapped and lacked research insights. A structured questionnaire containing the statements measuring tourists emotional experience and travel partners was floated to 400 tourists using convenient sampling technique. The data collection instrument also had questions on tourists personal factors. Sample size was rounded to 370 after removing the illegible responses. A multivariate analysis approach was employed to test whether travel partners influenced tourists emotional experience at a destination. The findings revealed that the emotional aspects such as pleasantness, excitement, calmness, happiness, energetic, friendly, and surprising were influenced by the tourists travel partners. 2021, Associated Management Consultants Pvt. <text>This short communication is an extract from a major research work on destination branding, and this cull out of analysis focused on the multifaceted destination personality traits that the destinations possess and perhaps how such perceptions of tourists differ based on the selected personal factors. Though there are many studies in the destination branding literature, the evidence regarding the personality traits is still at the stage of progression, and approaches referring to multifaceted personality traits are unseen. After the pilot testing, a structured questionnaire was floated to 400 tourists who visited the selected destinations a district in Tamil Nadu, India, between June 2019 and February 2020, where 327 responses were finalized. The questionnaire had statements measuring the destinations personality traits and other questions on tourists characteristics. Combined mean calculation and multivariate results revealed that two personality traits, welcoming and friendly, were emphasized by the tourists and perceived in common. Also, personality traits such as spiritual and charming were found to be commonly perceived. The mean values also indicated the existence of multifaceted destination personality traits some inherent and some perceived. Marketers and others thereof have been recommended on the branding and advertising strategies based on the outcome of this communication. The limitations and scope of this research have been indicated. 2022, Associated Management Consultants Pvt. Ltd.. All rights reserved.</text>

<text>Recent times, these recommendations based on reviews play a vital role in the service industry. The hospital is assessing its quality of service using these surveys or studies posted in online forums. The ongoing pandemic also played a vital role in making the online review more popular. These statistical data and visualization are informative in representing the views of patient satisfaction towards health service. As the size of data is large and it is of varied size and format it is difficult to get consolidated results. The users share their emotions and feelings through this review. So, it is a challenge to assess the emotions of the patients. Sentiment analysis using machine learning makes our work easy in evaluating the scores visually. The reviews are analyzed using natural language processing (NLP), and the sentiment of the studies is analysed as positive, negative, and neutral using polarity ranking, which in turn is converted as the recommendation system based on patient reviews. This paper aims to propose a new method of recommending the hospital based on the sentiment of the previous user review. The thought of the user is collected from the various hospitals. The proposed (Healthcare Recommendation System) HRS system has nearly 0.5 mean absolute error, which states that the proposed HRS system is significantly effective. 2023 IEEE.</text>

<text>The chapter highlights the potential of integrating service learning into mental health and human rights curricula. It emphasizes the transformative impact of service learning in fostering student engagement, empathy, and social responsibility by blending theoretical frameworks, historical context, and practical models. Service learning emerges as a powerful tool for promoting positive change within communities and encouraging student activism on mental health and human rights issues. Advocating for ongoing exploration and implementation of service learning initiatives is crucial despite India's delayed implementation of the Mental Healthcare Act of 2017. Harnessing service learning's potential is essential for effectively addressing these critical issues. 2024, IGI Global. All rights reserved.</text>
