Purpose: Reverse logistics services are designed to move goods from their point of consumption to an endpoint to capture value or properly dispose of products and materials. Artificial intelligence (AI)-based reverse logistics will help Micro, Small, and medium Enterprises (MSMEs) adequately recycle and reuse the materials in the firms. This research aims to measure the adoption of AI-based reverse logistics to improve circular economy (CE) performance. Design/methodology/approach: In this study, we proposed ten hypotheses using the theory of natural resource-based view and technology, organizational and environmental framework. Data are collected from 363 Indian MSMEs as they are the backbone of the Indian economy, and there is a need for digital transformation in MSMEs. A structural equation modeling approach is applied to analyze and test the hypothesis. Findings: Nine of the ten proposed hypotheses were accepted, and one was rejected. The results revealed that the relative advantage (RA), trust (TR), top management support (TMS), environmental regulations, industry dynamism (ID), compatibility, technology readiness and government support (GS) positively relate to AI-based reverse logistics adoption. AI-based reverse logistics indicated a positive relationship with CE performance. For mediation analysis, the results revealed that RA, TR, TMS and technological readiness are complementary mediation. Still, GS, ID, organizational flexibility, environmental uncertainty and technical capability have no mediation. Practical implications: The study contributed to the CE performance and AI-based reverse logistics literature. The study will help managers understand the importance of AI-based reverse logistics for improving the performance of the CE in MSMEs. This study will help firms reduce their carbon footprint and achieve sustainable development goals. Linking supply chain resilience with knowledge management for achieving supply chain performance

Purpose: Supply chain (SC) and knowledge management (KM) have been studied; still, there is a need to understand how KM can be used for SC resilience and improving the firms performance. The purpose of the paper is to study and analyze SC resilience strategies based on KM processes to enhance SC performance considering six SC strategies: SC reengineering, collaboration, SC innovation, SC integration, SC agility and SC risk management. Design/methodology/approach: By adopting the dynamic capability theory, the empirical research is conducted on a sample of 312 Indian micro, small to medium enterprises. To evaluate 312 samples, the structural equation modeling approach is adopted. Findings: The study found a is a positive relationship between SC reengineering, SC collaboration, SC integration, SC agility, SC risk management and KM. Nevertheless, the relationship between SC innovation and KM is not significant. This study also found the mediating effect of KM on SC performance, and the results shows that SC reengineering, SC collaboration, SC agility and SC risk management are having complementary mediation, while SC innovation and SC integration did not show any mediation. Originality/value: This is the only research that integrates resilience strategies and KM for improving SC performance. Using KM, SC reengineering will improve SC performance by enhancing readiness and recovery strategies to avoid SC disruption. KM will improve SC collaboration. It will enhance the SC process overall visibility, transparency and so on. Agility leads to increased speed, visibility and flexibility, which aids in dealing with uncertainty in the environment. SCRM entails investments and additional resources (such as equipment and labor) to navigate uncertainty and risks in the SC and improve SC performance. 2023, Emerald Publishing Limited.

There has been enormous growth in the gig sector across the world. The term gig refers to the short-term arrangement. For instance, an aspiring musician might celebrate after he obtains a gig contract or a painter may get a gig contract for some particular period of time. Both of them might get paid either a fixed fee or a fee based on the contract given. The gig economy has given rise to freelance workers, part-time workers, project-based workers, independent contractors, and contract workers. The gig economy has occupied a prominent place in the United States. According to the survey conducted by Intuit, nearly 40% of American workers are working as an independent contract worker in the year 2020. By means of the increase in the cost level and large masses seeking for jobs and livelihood, the concept of gig economy has opened doors for earning extra income through the gig work. The concept of digital platforms, greater digitalization, and accessibility to higher technology advancement such as the adoption of Artificial Intelligence is giving a boost to the concept of gig economy. There has been a growth in the acceptance of smartphones and the percentage of digitalization is an aiding factor permitting gig freelancers to offer numerous qualified services over the tech-based platform. Gig employees have the potential of signing any tasks in which they have a specific skill set. For example, a worker specialized in interior beautification on an ad-hoc basis for various customers as an alternative of undertaking a full-time inside designing work at a company. Advanced countries such as the United States were the initial adoption of the gig economy started due to advanced rates of digitalization, economic growth, and increase in the disposable income. All these enabling factors were responsible for foremost growing firms being initiated in the United States. Examples of firms are Uber, Airbnb, and Upwork. Nations such as the United States are presently a frontrunner in the international gig economy. On the contrary, emerging nations like India characterize a countless latent in terms of adoption of the gig economy. In the global crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, young professionals and graduating students experience considerable psychological adversity due to the uncertainty surrounding their futures. Given the positive psychological outcomes and the potential to alleviate stress, we examine the role of resilience and hope in causing a substantial variance in the stress response to anticipation of crisis among Indians living in India and Germany. Resilience, hope, crisis apprehension, and the psychological response to the COVID-19 pandemic were measured among participants from India and Germany (n = 650) via an online survey using non-probability convenient sampling. Parallel mediation and conditional indirect effects showcase the differential roles of resilience and hope among socio-culturally similar but geographically divergent groups. Hope mediates the effect of pandemic-led crisis apprehension on perceived stress among those residing in India; resilience operates to mitigate stress among those from Germany. Findings highlight the contradistinctive role of resilience and hope in reducing stress and imply an urgent need for promotion of ameliorative practices. Resilience effectively mitigates the psychological burden of the COVID-19 crisis and can be promoted to reskill individuals; however, elevating hope in a crisis obligates prudence. This research comprehensively explores the intricate relationship between social media, demographic factors, socioeconomic status, and online shopping behavior. It investigates how various elements, such as brand, quality, price, and reviews, intersect to influence consumers virtual shopping experiences. Recognizing the diversity among consumer populations, the study considers demographic traits like age, gender, and socioeconomic status. It identifies a research gap concerning the moderating effects of these factors on virtual shopping behavior and the influence of different advertisement sources. The research proposes a methodology involving machine learning approaches to address these gaps. Using a dataset collected from 331 respondents in Kolkata, the study employs statistical tests and machine learning models to analyze the correlations and predict online shopping behavior. The results underscore the importance of understanding consumer behavior in the evolving e-commerce landscape. Logistic Regression emerges as the most accurate algorithm for predicting online shopping decisions. Additionally, the research investigates the reasons limiting consumers use of online shopping platforms, providing practical insights for tailored marketing strategies. These findings empower businesses to adapt their marketing strategies to the evolving landscape of consumer behavior. Overall, the study enhances our understanding of the multifaceted variables shaping customers decisions in online marketplaces. Introduction: Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a multifaceted, complex endocrine condition affecting many women worldwide, with increased prevalence in South Asian nations, including India. Though biomedical consequences such as irregular menses, infertility, and insulin resistance are well established, the psychological and social aspects of PCOS are not well understood, especially where femininity is equated with reproduction and physical beauty. Method: This qualitative research examines the PCOS lived experience of eight Indian women. A narrative method was employed, with semistructured interviews used to capture participants individual experiences from diagnosis through treatment and psychosocial adjustment. Results: Five Global themes, 15 organizing themes, and 36 subthemes were identified through thematic analysis. The global themes identified are as follows: (1) PCOS Awareness and DiagnosisDelays and misinformation during diagnosis. (2) Living with PCOSDaily struggles with physical and emotional symptoms. (3) Coping and Seeking SupportReliance on family, friends, and online communities. (4) The Healthcare ExperienceMixed interactions with medical professionals and systemic gaps. (5) Cultural Expectations and IdentityThe impact of gender norms on self-image and social roles. Conclusion: These results highlight the pressing need for culturally responsive, multidisciplinary models of PCOS treatment that tackle the physical manifestations, psychosocial and sociocultural weights experienced by women. The research adds to an expanding literature on chronic disease and gendered health in the Global South, calling for a more holistic view of women's health. The Author(s) 2026

The COVID-19 pandemic has altered how the experience for neuro-divergent individuals as well as their caregivers has been. A neuro-divergent person refers to a person with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or, more generally, to someone whose brain processes information in a way that is not typical of most individuals. In India, where gendered parenting is the norm and can significantly influence childrens development and functioning, it becomes imperative to examine the narratives of mothers of neuro-divergent children. The present case study has been undertaken to study the phenomenon of neuro-divergence in the context of the caregivers especially the mothers experience during the pandemic. The mother of an autistic child was telephonically interviewed to collect the experience of how she navigated through the complexities of the pandemic with her neuro-divergent child. The transcribed data were analysed by reflexive thematic analysis. The reflexive thematic analysis yielded six themes such as resilience in adversity, struggles with social isolation and educational support, adaptation and creativity, advocacy for change, hope and resilience, and newfound relationship. During the pandemic, the lack of physical, and social interaction, community support, and a sense of loneliness experienced during the challenging circumstances of the pandemic served as a bane to the overall experience. In the context of the findings, it is suggested that further research be conducted on the narratives of caregivers, systemic challenges serving as hindrances to the development of neuro-divergent individuals and the rise of caregiver burden due to gendered parenting among the neuro-divergent community. 2025 selection and editorial matter, Sonali Mukherjee and Swati Pathak.

There has been enormous growth in the gig sector across the world. The term gig refers to the short-term arrangement. For instance, an aspiring musician might celebrate after he obtains a gig contract or a painter may get a gig contract for some particular period of time. Both of them might get paid either a fixed fee or a fee based on the contract given. The gig economy has given rise to freelance workers, part-time workers, project-based workers, independent contractors, and contract workers. The gig economy has occupied a prominent place in the United States. According to the survey conducted by Intuit, nearly 40% of American workers are working as an independent contract worker in the year 2020. By means of the increase in the cost level and large masses seeking for jobs and livelihood, the concept of gig economy has opened doors for earning extra income through the gig work. The concept of digital platforms, greater digitalization, and accessibility to higher technology advancement such as the adoption of Artificial Intelligence is giving a boost to the concept of gig economy. There has been a growth in the acceptance of smartphones and the percentage of digitalization is an aiding factor permitting gig freelancers to offer numerous qualified services over the tech-based platform. Gig employees have the potential of signing any tasks in which they have a specific skill set. For example, a worker specialized in interior beautification on an ad-hoc basis for various customers as an alternative of undertaking a full-time inside designing work at a company. Advanced countries such as the United States were the initial adoption of the gig economy started due to advanced rates of digitalization, economic growth, and increase in the disposable income. All these enabling factors were responsible for foremost growing firms being initiated in the United States. Examples of firms are Uber, Airbnb, and Upwork. Nations such as the United States are presently a frontrunner in the international gig economy. On the contrary, emerging nations like India characterize a countless latent in terms of adoption of the gig economy. The reason behind the boost in gig economy is the growing supply of outworkers and lesser skilled labour force. With further knowledge diffusion and the upgrading in human resources and capital, India will nurture in the worldwide gig economy at a hastening pace. India can follow the United States gig economy by studying its trends and encourage the possible gig responsibilities. Blockchain technology is changing the supply chain face by removing the trust-related issues among the vendors and customers. The agriculture supply chain consists of products from the farms to the customers. In this process, traceability plays a vital role in tracking and tracing the products in the entire supply chain. This research aims to identify traceability factors for adopting blockchain using stakeholders theory. Five factors privacy, decentralised database, reduced transaction costs, secured database, shared database are identified from the extensive literature review and the influence of these factors is measured on the blockchain adoption and traceability in agriculture supply chain. The results of the study show a positive influence of these five factors on the blockchain adoption and traceability in agriculture supply chain. In the present literature, various algorithms are available for computing the shortest path between two objects. The maximum number of these algorithms compute the shortest path either between two static objects or one static object and one dynamic object. This article presents an insight to integrated Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) based smart devices for tracking mobile rogue objects based on dynamic source and dynamic destination optimal cost estimation. This device considers any two mobile objects to estimate the shortest path between them. The proposed Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) based algorithm considers the property of dead-end removal and nth path exploration with efficient self-loop removal strategy. To review the performance of the proposed algorithm, experimentations are carried out and compared with several well-established shortest cost estimation techniques available in the literatureFloyd Warshall, Bellman Ford, Dijkstra, A* algorithms and the only dynamic shortest path algorithm. The detailed algorithmic comparisons clearly indicate the superiority of the proposed one over the existing dynamic and present state-of-the-art shortest path estimation methodologies. 2023 IETE.

An account of the resource
The present disclosure relates to a new centralized ledger technology with a centralized validation process. It offers a single platform for all categories of real-time transactions and validations, unlike existing conventional blockchain technology. It offers three levels of hashing placed at the generator, server, and validator end for data security from data tampering and two levels of encryption for communication lines between generator-server and server-validator for packet security. This system ensures trustworthiness, authenticity, and CIA (confidentiality, integrity, and availability) to its end users while being real-time in execution. The proposed system does not follow a chain-based file architecture. Due to this, no concept of chain break arises, and the problems that arise as a result of chain break in the blockchain are avoided. 2022 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
