Network Based Detection of IoT Attack Using AIS-IDS Model

In recent days Internet of Things attained more familiarity. Although it is a promising technology, it tends to lead to a variety of security issues. Conventional methods such as IoT ecosystem based solutions were not suitable to give dilemmas to the system. A new system model called adaptive and intelligent Artificial Immune System (AIS) imitates the process of human being an immune system that consists of eligible properties of this varying environment. Therefore, it enhanced IoT security. Conventionally classifiers such as Random Forest Classifier, Recurrent Neural Network and K-nearest neighbours are used to classify the signals as normal or abnormal and predict malicious attacks. But unfortunately, these classifiers generated a high false alarm rate. Thus, a framework with maximum accuracy and minimum false alarm rate was required. In this work, the AIS model adopts the benefits of the Hopfield Neural Network (HNN) for classification. HNN classifier has a fixed weight, as it cannot be changed for its backpropagation property. This work optimally selects the fixed weight using Fast- Particle Swarm Optimization (F-PSO) and helps to enhance the accuracy of the HNN classifier. This classifier model then differentiates IoT attacks with a high detection rate and normal signal. Three datasets are taken to execute the proposed model and define its accuracy. The proposed Artificial Immune system using HNN for Intrusion Detection System (AIS-IDS) model exhibits 99.8% accuracy for the first dataset and minimum error value. The study focuses on the aggregation kinematics in the quadratic convective magneto-hydrodynamics of ethylene glycol-titania ((Formula presented.)) nanofluid flowing through an inclined flat plate. The modified Krieger-Dougherty and Maxwell-Bruggeman models are used for the effective viscosity and thermal conductivity to account for the aggregation aspect. The effects of an exponential space-dependent heat source and thermal radiation are incorporated. The impact of pertinent parameters on the heat transfer coefficient is explored by using the Response Surface Methodology and Sensitivity Analysis. The effects of several parameters on the skin friction and heat transfer coefficient at the plate are displayed via surface graphs. The velocity and thermal profiles are compared for two physical scenarios: flow over a vertical plate and flow over an inclined plate. The nonlinear problem is solved using the RungeKutta-based shooting technique. It was found that the velocity profile significantly decreased as the inclination of the plate increased on the other hand the temperature profile improved. The heat transfer coefficient decreased due to the increase in the Hartmann number. The exponential heat source has a decreasing effect on the heat flux and the angle of inclination is more sensitive to the heat transfer coefficient than other variables. Further, when radiation is incremented, the sensitivity of the heat flux toward the inclination angle augments at the rate 0.5094% and the sensitivity toward the exponential heat source augments at the rate 0.0925%. The flow of a Reiner-Rivlin hydromagnetic nanoliquid due to rotating disk in the presence of Joule heating and a non-uniform heat source is investigated. To control the volume fraction of nanoparticles on the surface of a disk, a realistic passive control strategy is used, taking the thermal jump condition into account. Nonlinear governing differential equations are solved numerically using the Bulirsch-Stoer technique and a parametric analysis is performed using graphical representations. Using the Response Surface Methodology (RSM), the interaction effects of the influential parameters on the rate of heat transfer are visualized via three-dimensional surface graphs and contours. Further, the optimum rate of the heat transfer is estimated through the RSM analysis. It is found that the surface drag demotes due to enhancement in the cross-viscosity coefficient. A rise in the space-dependent heat source augments the temperature profile. The heat transfer rate is negatively influenced by the Eckert number. Further, when thermal slip is augmented, the sensitivity of the heat transfer towards the Hartmann number decreases at the rate of 0.2267%, and the sensitivity towards the Reiner-Rivlin fluid parameter decrements at the rate of 0.0554%. 2022 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group.

The thermodynamic features of the Reiner-Rivlin nanoliquid flow induced by a spinning disk are analyzed numerically. The non-homogeneous two-phase nanofluid model is considered to analyze the effect of nanoparticles on the thermodynamics of the Reiner-Rivlin nanomaterial, which also includes a temperature-dependent heat source (THS) and an exponential space-dependent heat source (ESHS). Further, the transfer of heat and mass is analyzed with velocity slip, volume fraction jump, and temperature jump boundary conditions. The finite difference method-based routine is used to solve the complicated differential equations formed after using the von-Karman similarity technique. Limiting cases of the present problem are found to be in good agreement with benchmarking studies. The relationship of the pertinent parameters with the heat and mass transport is scrutinized using correlation, which is further evaluated based on the probable error estimates. Multivariable models are fitted for the friction factor at the disk and heat transport, which accurately predict the dependent variables. The Reiner-Rivlin nanoliquid temperature is influenced comparatively more by the ESHS than by the THS. The Nusselt number is decreased by the ESHS and THS, whereas the friction factor at the disk is predominantly decremented by the wall roughness aspect. The increment in the non-Newtonian characteristic of the liquid leads more fluid to drain away in the radial direction far from the disk compared with the fluid nearby the disk in the presence of the centrifugal force during rotation. The people of Kerala have suffered the worst natural calamity in the form of heavy flood in 2018 and this continued for a week. The flood and the landslide had created a havoc in the agricultural sector of Kerala. The worst affected sector in the vagary of nature was the plantation sector. The industry lost around Rs. 3.382 crore due to heavy floods (CDS). The floods and the landslide had a major impact on the major planation crops including rubber, tea, coffee and cardamom. Among the different districts, Wayanad was the worst affected district along with Kottayam and Pathanamthitta. In the given context, this study is an attempt to analyse the economic impact of floods in the plantation sector in Kerala. The study found that the farmers are facing the worst financial crisis due to low price and high cost of production. The major problems faced by farmers are the inadequacy of assistance, reduction in yield and lack of pure water, delay in getting support, repayment of the loan and so on. 2023, World Research Association. When making job offers, it is usual practice for businesses to check applicants academic credentials. The organization that issued the certificate must authenticate it for the employer to ensure that it is genuine. Because of the lengthy process involved in certificate verification, the selection process takes longer overall while establishing the legitimacy of a certificate. To address this issue, blockchain provides a verified distributed ledger along with a cryptography mechanism to thwart academic credential counterfeiting. Conventional intrusion detection systems are not always sufficient due to the increasing sophistication and frequency of Denial-of-Service (DoS) attacks. This work presents a novel solution to this problem by leveraging machine learning techniques to increase the precision and efficacy of real-time intrusion detection. The system keeps a careful eye on network traffic patterns, looking for any irregularities that would point to a denial-of-service attack. An Intrusion Detection System (IDS) that utilizes machine learning technologies - specifically, neural networks and support vector machines - allows for real-time adaptation to new attack patterns. A combination of rigorous simulations and real-world testing provides empirical support for the IDS's quick detection and mitigation of DoS threats. This article gives insight into the ways in which enforcement and institutional vigilante activities portrayed in Vikram Chandras Sacred Games foreshadow the urban thicket of garbage dump yards and slum dwellings. The text will be analyzed from an ecocritical perspective to establish aspects of slow violence and its explicit and implicit results. Chandras plotline, regarding several entangled human tragedies against the background of refuse, urges a study of the novel through the lens of waste studies. However, he fails to address the reasons for the characters opinion of Mumbai being uninhabitable and infamous for treating human life as expendable. The novelist also seems to normalize the issues of inequalities in waste management and justifies the anthropocentric utilitarian perception of resources. The depictions of Mumbai gang wars against a disturbingly overlooked state of dilapidated lives and misplaced ideologies mention waste as being both created and ignored. In this paper, the design of a novel triple band triangular microstrip patch antenna with inset feed is proposed. The triangular patch is designed for a resonant frequency of 2 GHz. The inset feed is placed at a depth of 1/3rd of height from the bottom of the patch for improved return loss. The insertion of two slots and two tabs causes the antenna to resonate at multiple frequencies. The proposed antenna resonates at three frequencies: 1.939 GHz, 2.515 GHz and 3.212 GHz. The truncation of the edges of the patch and the tabs improves the gain and directivity of the antenna. 2016 IEEE.

Through the course of the last few decades researchers have observed that Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) can act as a breeding ground for transformative positive changes to develop in the face of adversity. This process of enhanced growth is systematically studied as Post Traumatic Growth (PTG). Though there is an existing association between ACE and PTG, yet there is a paucity of studies that explores the mediating variables in this relationship. The current study aims to explore the role of self-compassion (SC) and psychological flexibility (PF) between ACE and PTG among Indian young adults. The study was conducted on 298 Indian participants who were in the age bracket of 1825years. The study variables were assessed using self-administered rating scales. Participants were screened for ACE using Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) Questionnaire. Additionally, Self-Compassion Scale (SCS-SF), Acceptance and Action Questionnaire-II (AAQ-II), Posttraumatic Growth Inventory- Short Form were other tools used. The results have indicated that both Psychological Flexibility and Self-Compassion mediate the relationship of ACE with PTG. The current findings have emphasized on the role of Psychological Flexibility and Self-Compassion in moving towards Post Traumatic Growth. These findings reassert that Psychological Flexibility and Self-Compassion are foundational to Acceptance Commitment Therapy and highly useful especially while working with trauma affected populations. Purpose: This research discusses the importance of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and its link to a financial performance metric called net interest margin (NIM) in the context of non-banking financial companies (NBFCs). CSR initiatives can lead to long-term sustainability and improved financial performance, attracting investors seeking to align their investments with their values. Need for the Study: The research composes portfolios based on financial companies CSR performance and NIM ratios to help investors understand the difference between CSR and financial performance, making investment decisions based on their portfolio goals and values. Striking a balance between sustainability and the financial performance of financial companies, will help investors find a suitable balance between portfolios for investment purposes. Methodology: The authors used data from 55 financial companies for daily returns from 20142015 to 20212022 and used descriptive statistics to measure the performance of portfolios. Findings: The findings suggest that financial companies in India have improved their CSR scores over time, indicating an increased focus on integrating socially responsible practices into their operations. The data also show that NBFCs are catching up with banks regarding CSR scores, and some NBFC portfolios even outperform banks regarding returns. However, the study also highlights the need for some companies to focus more on CSR and business operations. This research aims to provide insights into Corporate social responsibility (CSR) performance and its impact on portfolio performance. The research would contribute to the broader understanding of how investors can achieve financial success and positive societal impact through the CSR performance of financial companies. This study uses 56 financial companies data from 20132014 to 20212022. Seemingly unrelated regression has been used to examine the impact of FAMA and French factors on the return of different portfolios. The findings of this research are significant for Banks and NBFCs, which shows that all the factors of the FAMA and French model are significant in showing the portfolios results. This study demonstrates that banks with better CSR performance yield higher expected returns than NBFC portfolios. This finding confirms that increased socially responsible activities yield better returns for banks. It showed that more socially responsible companies provide better financial returns than those not focusing on these issues. This suggests that when companies invest in being responsible and doing good for society, it can lead to better financial results for them and the investors. The subject of the study is to use an extensive literature review to evaluate how academic research on corporate social responsibility (CSR) is developing. The journals and papers in the ISI Web of Science, SCOPUS, and Taylor&Francis databases served as the foundation for this literature review. The purpose of the study is to highlight essential papers, referenced journals importance, and potential future study directions. Determinants that impact the CSR performance of an organization are governance, profitability, firm characteristics, and minimum expenditure. The impact of CSR has been measured using accounting-based market value, risk, excess return on a stock, and moral capital. All the variables are discussed with strongly supported literature and then concluded by giving a framework. The novelty of our study is that it analyses new research trends while concentrating on the CSR research frontiers. The conclusion identifies possible areas for scientists to further develop their expertise, including sustainable and responsible financing and ESG strategy. Sachdeva S., Ramesh L., 2023.

Measurement of Corporate Social Responsibility of Financial Companies in the Indian Context

Purpose: This study aimed to measure the corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities of financial companies (banks and NBFCs) in India. This paper used content analysis to quantify the CSR performance of financial companies. Financial institutions loan money to businesses utilizing assets owned by saving bank account holders, thereby heightening their societal responsibility. Methodology: Data from 63 financial companies listed on the National Stock Exchange from 20142015 to 20202021 were considered. Cronbachs alpha, descriptive statistics, and z-score test were used in this research to check the reliability and normality of the CSR scores. Findings: The results showed that private sector banks proactively participated in social activities compared to public sector banks (PSB) and non-banking financial institutions (NBFCs). Scores of CSR improved during the study period. Practical Implications: The study will allow future research because every issue and factor considered in the scale needs attention to benefit humankinds future generations. Calculated CSR scores could be used to measure the impact on the financial performance of companies. The ill-effects of technological sites on the environment have been researched substantially across the world with particular reference to pollution. However, the threats posed by the environment to technological sites have rarely been studied. Such events, where natural forces trigger technological accidents, are called Natech accidents. It has been observed that developed countries are aware of this emerging hazard and they have responded to it by creating various legislative frameworks for managing Natech risk. In contrast, in developing countries, it has not yet received due attention. The present study has been done to understand the Indian perspective of the legal framework for Natech risk reduction. The study revealed that India has an elaborate legislative framework for disaster risk identification and management. Though there is attention to routine disaster risk, the risk from natural forces to the technological sites is rarely considered. Apart from recognizing natural forces as a threat, no specific legislation is available for Natech risk reduction. A developing country like India must manage the risk posed by natural forces to its technological infrastructure. There is a need for specific legislation to manage Natech risk, which will be an initiating force for the state of the art Natech risk management. 2021, World Research Association. In the present investigation LM4 reinforced 6 wt% Titanium Carbide particles composite was developed by stir casting bottom pouring method. The cast composite specimen was obtained in a cylindrical shape of dimensions 50 mm dia and 100 mm length. The composite specimens were prepared for mechanical and tribological test as per ASTM standards. The obtained results reveal that the mechanical properties are high as compared to the as cast LM4 alloy specimens. Microstructure analysis confirms that the uniform distribution of TiC particles. Tribological test was performed using pin-on-disc machine based on Taguchi's design of experiments. L27 orthogonal array was selected by changing test parameter like applied load (10, 20, 30 N), sliding distance (600, 800, 1000 m) and sliding velocity (1.5 m/s, 2.5 m/s and 3.5 m/s). The most influencing test parameters were identified by using S/N ratio and ANOVA. The wear results reveled that wear rate increases as applied load increases, and it decreases with decrease in velocity. Also wear rate decreases as sliding distance increases and at some point, it became linear. The applied load was found to be most dominating (77.61%), sliding velocity (10.44%) and sliding distance (4.47%) are less dominating factors.
