<text>Background. Anemia is one of the predominant hematological conditions, whereas chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a predominant respiratory disease. These two diseases were found to be interlinked, but the physiological pathways are still unclear. Aim. The current study has been aimed at analysing the genetic interrelationship between anemia and COPD in accordance with different altitudes. Methodology. The genetic analysis was performed in the SERPINA1 gene of anemia, COPD, and healthy individuals for the analysis of single nucleotide polymorphism at rs28949274 and rs17580 locations. Result and Discussion. The single nucleotide polymorphism at the locations rs28949274 and rs17580 was present in both anemic and COPD patients. The COPD patients were more prone to mutations (63% had rs28949274, and 11% had rs17580 polymorphisms) than the anemic patients (40% had rs28949274, and 1% had rs17580 polymorphisms). On the basis of altitude, high-altitude individuals were found to be more susceptible to both the polymorphisms. Conclusion. Based on the current findings, we suggest that the SERPINA1 gene has a positive correlation with anemia as well as COPD, and the increase in altitude also influences the diseased conditions in a positive manner. 2022, SAGE Publications Ltd. <text>One of the most promising and widely used additive manufacturing technologies, fused deposition modelling (FDM), is based on material extrusion and is most commonly used for producing thermoplastic parts for functional applications with the objectives of low cost, minimal waste and ease of material conversion. Considering that pure thermoplastic materials have a significantly poor mechanical performance, it is necessary to enhance the mechanical properties of thermoplastic parts generated using FDM technology. One of the conceivable techniques is to incorporate reinforcing materials such as short glass fibre (SGF) into the thermoplastic matrix in order to produce a polymer composite that can be used in engineering applications, such as structural applications. The morphological and mechanical properties of SGF (short glass fibre) reinforced ABS- (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) based polymer composites created via the method of FDM (fused deposition modelling) were investigated in this work. Properties were evaluated at three different weight percentages (0, 15 and 30 wt%). The composite filaments were developed using the process of twin screw extrusion. The comparison was made between ABS + SGF (short glass fibre) composites and pure ABS of mechanical properties that include surface roughness, tensile strength and low-velocity impact. The tests were carried out to analyze the properties as per ASTM standards. It has been found that the impact strength and tensile strength show an improvement in glass fibre inclusion; moreover, alongside the direction of build, the surface roughness had been reduced. The studies also focused on studying the dispersion characters of SGF in ABS matrix and its impact on the properties. Strength and modulus of SGF reinforced ABS composite has been significantly improved along with reduction of ductility. A 57% increase in tensile strength has been noted for 30 wt% addition of SGF to ABS in comparison to pure ABS. It was also interesting to note the reduction in surface roughness with every incremental addition of SGF to ABS. A 40% reduction in surface roughness has been observed with a 30 wt% addition of SGF to ABS in comparison to pure ABS. 2022 by the authors.Licensee MDPI, Basel, Switzerland.</text>

<text>The current study explores the effects of shot peening on the microstructural evolution and corrosion behavior of precipitation-hardened Al-Cu alloy. Microstructural analysis revealed significant grain size reduction from 100 m to 6.5 m, and this process improves grain boundary density, reduces precipitate size from 2 m to 0.5 m, and ensures a uniform elemental distribution, effectively mitigating galvanic corrosion risks. Energy-dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) confirms the homogenisation of alloying elements. At the same time, X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis highlights crystallographic modifications, including refined crystallite size, redistributed secondary phases, and compressive residual stresses, contributing to enhanced strength and fatigue resistance. Corrosion behavior studies reveal a dramatic reduction in weight loss from 0.09 mg to 0.03 mg and a corrosion rate decrease from 3.5 10?3 mpy to 1.5 10?3 mpy, along with a noble shift in corrosion potential from ?1150 mV to ?775 mV. As observed in optical microstructures, grain refinement, residual stress introduction, and uniform surface characteristics lead to a significant shift from severe to mild corrosion attacks. Impedance analysis demonstrated improved corrosion resistance in the shot-peened alloy, evidenced by higher charge transfer resistance (Rct) and lower double-layer capacitance (Cdl). 2025 Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum.</text>

<text>This study focuses on understanding the system's response to gravity modulation with two frequency components, characterized by both sinusoidal (sine wave) and non-sinusoidal (square, triangular, and sawtooth) waveforms, on three-component convection, considering a viscoelastic fluid modelled using an Oldroyd-B fluid. We apply the Venezian approach to evaluate the Rayleigh number, its corrected form, and the wave number by deriving a five-mode Lorenz model to investigate the onset of convection. A nonlinear analysis is conducted to investigate the dynamics of heat and mass transfer by solving an extended eight-mode Lorenz model, capturing higher order interactions. The onset of convection and the transport properties were observed to be influenced by combinations of sinusoidal and non-sinusoidal waveforms. This study optimizes convection-driven systems subjected to external periodic forcing by offering a more comprehensive understanding of convective instabilities in viscoelastic fluids. 2025 Wiley Periodicals LLC.</text>

<text>This present study looks into the role of social media marketing as an important tool that helps organizations achieve their goals, bearing in mind the rapid spread in the modern digital world. Higher education institutions, such as colleges and universities, are making use of these social media channels: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube to share information regarding their academic programs, campus life, and even success stories. These websites have helped institutions to increase their access and engagement at the grass-roots level. It, thus, has also become an excellent tool to enroll prospective students. College or university search methods have undergone many significant changes in the present day. Over the centuries, students relied mainly on familial and social connections along with printed sources of information, to guide choices. Today, however, they increasingly use social media sites to research available choices, read reviews, watch multimedia and communicate with educational institutions. 2026 by IGI Global Scientific Publishing. <text>The purpose of this paper is to identify the influence of social media marketing on the purchase intention of Gen Z. A self-administered questionnaire is developed and distributed to 424 respondents who are born after 1994. Independent sample t-test and multiple linear regression model are used for statistical data analysis. The study finds social media marketing more effective than the traditional method of marketing on Gen Z indicating that social media marketing has a positive impact on their purchase intention, brand awareness, product perception, brand loyalty and customer-business interactions. It also reveals that developing the brand awareness, brand loyalty, product perception and customer-business interactions through social media marketing can ultimately influence the purchase intention of Gen Z. This paper addresses the differences in the purchase intention of those who prefer social media ads over traditional ads. It also highlights the importance of social media in marketing communications which help companies in retaining their customers and optimising search engine rankings. 2019 SERSC.</text>

<text>Absorption and fluorescence spectra of novel maleamic acid (E)-4-oxo-4-(4-((2-oxooxazolidin-4-yl)methyl)phenylamino)but-2-enoic acid (OMPBA) and its maleimide derivative 1-(4-((2-oxooxazolidin-4-yl)methyl)phenyl)-1H-pyrrole-2,5-dione (OMPPD) were recorded in a series of eighteen solvents of increasing polarity at room temperature (25C). A large Stokes shift indicates a bathochromic fluorescence band shift for both molecules. The photoluminescence properties and intramolecular charge transfer (ICT) behavior of OMPBA and OMPPD were analyzed. In the case of OMPPD, ICT contributes to a larger extent towards positive solvatochromism compared to OMPBA. Ground-state and singlet excited-state dipole moments of OMPBA and OMPPD were calculated using solvatochromic methods proposed by Bilot and Kawski, Lippert and Mataga, Bakhshiev, Kawskii and Chamma and Viallet, and also Reichardt. The ground state dipole moment was found to be larger than for the singlet excited state for both molecules. Optimized geometry and HOMOLUMO energies of OMPBA and OMPPD have been determined by DFT and TDDFT/B3LYP/6-311G (d, p). The HOMOLUMO energy gap was calculated from cyclic voltammetry and compared with theoretical values with good agreement. GCRD parameters such as ionization potential (IP), electron affinity (EA), electronegativity ?, chemical potential (?), chemical hardness (?), chemical softness (s) and electrophilicity (?) were calculated for OMPBA and OMPPD. 2018, Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature.</text>

<text>The linear and nonlinear stability of axisymmetric convection of a viscous fluid in a cylindrical enclosure heated from below is investigated for various radius to height ratios. A weak vertical throughflow is imposed in a gravity-aligned or a gravity-opposing manner. Symmetric and asymmetric boundaries of free-free, rigid-rigid and rigid-free types are considered for lower and upper boundaries with isothermal temperature boundary condition. The side-walls are assumed to be rigid and adiabatic. A convergent Maclaurin series representation is considered for the finding of axial trial eigenfunctions. In order to corroborate the results of the present study with those of a previous investigation, the critical Rayleigh number and the number of radial rolls manifesting for any given aspect ratio are determined in the case of no throughflow and an exact match is found. Further, the influence of boundaries and the effect of throughflow on chaotic and periodic regimes of motion are studied with the help of a time series solution and the largest Lyapunov exponent as indicators of chaos. The novelty of the present study is the use of a Maclaurin series representation for the eigenfunctions of the linear problem and using the same in determining the solution with the convective mode. 2023 Elsevier B.V.</text>

<text>Molybdenum trioxide nanomaterials have attained notable attention in the recent past and are used in various optoelectronic and biomedical applications. Here blue and purple blue light emitting MoO3 nanophosphors were synthesized using the simple hydrothermal method at three different temperatures 100C, 150C, and 200C. Structural characterization using XRD along with Raman spectroscopy confirms the formation of a highly stable orthorhombic phase. Micro strain effects have been analyzed by employing the Williamson-Hall method using a uniform deformation model. Nanorod like morphology was obtained from FESEM. Optical analysis, using Tauc plot shows a decreasing trend in bandgap value with increasing temperature. Emission peaks in the photoluminescence spectrum are associated with the transition between the sub-bands of the Mo5+ defect state. From CIE coordinates it is confirmed that the characteristic light from the samples is blue and purple-blue. Being an excellent blue and purple blue light emitting phosphor, MoO3 is a suitable material for future LED and fluorescence imaging applications. <text>Stoichiometric pure and tellurium (Te) doped indium bismuthide (InBi) were grown using the directional freezing technique in a fabricated furnace. The X-ray diffraction profiles identified the crystallinity and phase composition. The surface topographical features were observed by scanning electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy. The energy dispersive analysis by X-rays was performed to identify the atomic proportion of elements. Studies on the temperature dependence of dielectric constant (?), loss tangent (tan?), and AC conductivity (?ac) reveal the existence of a ferroelectric phase transition in the doped material at 403 K. When InBi is doped with tellurium (4.04 at%), a band gap of 0.20 eV can be achieved, and this is confirmed using Fourier transform infrared studies. The results thus show the conversion of semimetallic InBi to a semiconductor with the optical properties suitable for use in infrared detectors. 2014 University of Science and Technology Beijing and Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.</text>

<text>The teaching profession is undergoing a revolutionary change due to the compulsive integration of technology into education. There is a growing interest in understanding teachers occupational stress and efficacy in online teaching. The participants of this study were schoolteachers in Bengaluru, India. The measures from teachers occupational stress and self-efficacy scales investigate the influence of occupational stress and self-efficacy during two periods before and during COVID-19. The findings of the study reflected that the influence of occupational stress on self-efficacy doubled during COVID-19. Classroom management and resources for online teaching mainly influenced selfefficacy during COVID-19, whereas classroom management and administration proved to influence self-efficacy before COVID-19. Online learning strategies adopted by educational institutions will certainly make an impression on the education system post COVID-19. The current research contributes a significant component in the formation of teacher professional identity. 2022 IGI Global. All rights reserved.</text>

<text>The effect of time-periodic two-frequency rotation modulation on Rayleigh-Bard convection in water with either AA7072 or AA7075 nanoparticles is investigated. The single-phase description of the Khanafer-Vafai-Lightstone model is used for modeling the nanoliquids. An asymptotic expansion procedure is adopted in the case of the linear stability to obtain the correction (due to modulation) to the Rayleigh number at marginal stability of unmodulated convection. A nonlinear regime of convection is considered with a nonautonomous generalized Lorenz model as the governing equation. The method of multiscales is then employed to obtain the coupled nonautonomous Ginzburg-Landau equations with cubic nonlinearity from the Lorenz model. These equations are presented in the phase-amplitude form and the amplitude is used to quantify the heat transport. The modulation amplitude is considered to be small (of order less than unity) and moderate frequencies of modulation are considered. We found that there is a threshold frequency beyond which the system behavior reverses. At frequencies below the threshold, the mean Nusselt number increases with an increase in the amplitude of modulation while an opposite influence is seen for values above the threshold. Such a behavior is a consequence of what is analogously seen in the case of the critical Rayleigh number. The influence of two-frequency modulation is more pronounced on the results of the linear and nonlinear regimes compared to that of the single-frequency one. The heat transport is enhanced due to the presence of dilute concentration of suspended nanoparticles (either AA7072 or AA7075 nanoalloys) in water. The influence of nanoparticles is to modify the threshold values generating chaos but it does not qualitatively alter the dynamical behavior of the system. The plots of Lyapunov exponents reveal that there is no possibility of hyper-chaos in the generalized Lorenz model when there is a rotational modulation. 2024 World Scientific Publishing Company.</text>

<text>Influencer marketing is an emerging area in the field of marketing. Specifically, this topic grabs the attention of several academicians and practitioners because of the key role played by influencers to stimulate consumer behaviour. Significantly, a systematic way of analysing and summarising the works of literature in this nascent area is necessary. A systematic literature review provides a comprehensive overview of the whole literature studied. From this knowledge, a systematic literature review has been undertaken from the period of 2016 to 2021 based on 65 articles from the ABDC journal to fetch relevant research themes, methodology, theories, variables, antecedents and consequences and potential research gaps. From this information, this research proposed an integrative framework which depicts the role of social media influencers in activating consumer behaviour. Future research direction has presented comprising of knowledge gap in the existing literature from key areas such as theory, methodology and settings. This research provides implications for both theories and practice. 2022 Management Development Institute.</text>

<text>Information and Communication Technology (ICT) integration in education refers newlineto using technology in teaching and learning processes. The use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the classroom would solve a lot of the problems related to Zimbabwean secondary school education. It motivates students to learn by providing a variety of learning activities such as watching videos, viewing pictures and models and online quizzes. This interests students who are digital natives and is more applicable to their everyday experiences. newlineStudent participation increases when ICT is used in the classroom as students are newlineconversant with the use of technology. ICT integration in education also allows students to learn in circumstances where there are shortages of teachers. The culture which exists in a school and the competencies of the educational leaders cannot be ignored when planning for and assessing the outcome of ICT integration programs. This study focused on Information and Communication newlineTechnology Integration in Education by Harare Secondary School Teachers, in relation to School Technology Culture and their Educational Leader Competencies . A survey was carried out in government and private secondary schools in Harare, Zimbabwe during the period from October 2012 to mid-2013. The population was all the secondary school teachers in Harare district of Zimbabwe. According to the data obtained from the Ministry of Education in October 2012, the target population of secondary school teachers in Harare was 4 244. The sample size was calculated based on an equation cited from Camorin and Calmorin (2007:230). This newlinegave a sample of 248 teachers from Harare secondary schools. 140 were females and 108 males. Four research instruments were used for data collection: a proforma on demographics, the ICT Integration questionnaire (ICTIQ), the School Technology Culture (STC) Scale and the Educational Leader Competency (ELC) scale.</text>
