Ni-Co MOF Flowers/ZnO NRs Mediated Electrochemical Sensor for Rapid and Ultrasensitive Detection of Neotame in Food Samples
This study focuses on the bioreduction of waste-derived graphite rods into reduced graphene oxide(rGO), followed by the fabrication with Ni-Co metal-organic flowers and Zinc oxide nanorods(ZnO NRs) using Nafion, for sensitive detection of neotame. The Ni-Co metal-organic flowers and ZnO NRs were synthesized using solvothermal synthesis and Azadirachta indica leaf extract, respectively. Additionally, Nafion polymer enhances the stability and conductivity of the nanocomposite. The nanocomposite was characterized using UVvis, Fourier transform infrared spectorscopy, X-ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy, Dynamic light scattering, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, Field-emission scanning electron microscopy, Energy-dispersive X-ray analsysis, Transmission electron microscopy, and Atomic force microscopy. The electrochemical studies were carried out using Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and Cyclic voltammetry. The modified electrode (rGO/Nafion/Ni-Co MOF/ZnO NRs) demonstrated improved electrochemical activity (34.01 ?A) for neotame with an enhanced peak current at +0.73 V. The LOD and LOQ values were calculated and found to be 0.32 and 0.99 ?M with a recovery (%) ranging from 94.50 to 101.34%. The outcome of this study identifies the morphological and electrochemical factors as major contributors to the adsorption affinities and catalytical activities, with promising possibilities for the design of electrochemical sensing of artificial sweeteners. 2024 The Electrochemical Society (ECS). Nexus of Monetary Policy and Productivity in an Emerging Economy: Supply-Side Transmission Evidence from India
Monetary policy and its transmissions have been debated by various schools of thought. The purpose of this paper is to empirically tests whether monetary policy has supply side effect influencing Indian economys total factor productivity. This study uses ARDL model to ascertain the long run relationship between monetary policy proxies and total factor productivity (TFP). Cointegration tests reveal that total factor productivity has a relationship with all of the monetary policy proxies. The ARDL results reveal a negative relationship between TFP and some monetary policy proxies in the short run, but a positive effect in the long run. These results showcase the possible supply side transmission of monetary policy in India, which can help in determining an optimal policy so as to augment TFP, an important driver of economic growth. The study only focusses on the Indian economy and spillover effects of other Asian economies on Indias TFP can also be examined. Nexus Between The Carbon Dioxide Emission And Economic Growth: Evidence From India
Increase in economic activities contributes to the economic growth of a country. It is evident that emerging economies have recorded higher economic growth and significant increase in coal consumption, energy consumption and electricity consumption. On the other hand, the emission of greenhouse gases (GHG) generating consequences in the atmosphere. In this context, this study tries to analyse the association between GDP per capita, FDI, population, trade openness and CO2 emissions per capita in India. The study is based on secondary data, which has been collected from the World Bank database. The time period under consideration is from 1960 to 2017. Augmented Dickey Fuller test has been used to test the unit root. VAR lag order criteria have been used for lag selection of the model. Since the variables are integrated at I (1) and I (0), the ARDL model has been used for the purpose of analysis. Furthermore, for checking the stability of the model, the CUSUM test has been used. The results show that in the long run, GDP per capita and FDI has a positive impact on C02 emission whereas, in the short run coal consumption, FDI, GDP per capita and trade openness appears to have a significant and positive impact towards C02 emission. 2020 Kalpana Corporation. Nexus Between Tax Buoyancy and Economic Growth Evidence from India1
This paper examines the trends in fiscal revenue collections and the relationship between tax buoyancy and economic growth. In recent years, the responsiveness of revenue growth in relation to economic growth is a growing concern as we witness staggered tax revenue growth with the convergence of percentage contribution of direct taxes to the aggregate revenue with indirect taxes. Using the Log OLS model, for the period between 2000-2018 the variability in tax revenue due to the change in economic growth as measured by GDP was verified. We confirm the test results using M-estimation Robust Log-OLS. We critically appraise the policy interventions and administrative initiatives taken up to improve the buoyancy rate and suggest ways to enhance the voluntary tax compliance rate in the country. The studys findings show a significant relationship between tax revenue and economic growth, but it does not necessarily improve the tax buoyancy rate. Indian Institute of Finance. -
Nexus between ownership structure and firm performance - Evidence from Indian service sector
Shareholding pattern of an organization determines the management control and decision making climate. Empirical researches have proved relationship among the type of shareholdings, managerial efficiency and stock returns in manufacturing sectors. This study investigates the relationship between the organizational shareholding pattern and financial performance of select services sector companies taking sample from listed financial services and Information technology firms from CNX500 Index for a period of five years. The study emphasizes on the significance of categorical distinctions among ownership and evaluating its influence on firm performance for investment decisions. Both accounting and market based approach of Firm performance has been considered using Tobin Q ratio and Return on Capital Employed as proxy. The results show that there is Insider owners dominance in services sector. A higher percentage of aggregate promoter and promoters group holdings are documented in services sector. The study also documents a positive and significant relationship between the firm performance as measured by market model and the percentage of shares held by promoters and Institutional bodies. In contrast, there is negative and insignificant influence of promoters holdings on the firm performance. However, Institutional shareholdings have a positive and significant influence. Dominant insiders ownership enhances management efficiency through excessive control for wealth maximization. IAEME Publication. -
Nexus Between Interest Rate Risk and Economic Value of Equity of Banks
This analytical study looks to provide recommendations to the banking sector on different policies and regulations by examining certain aspects of the Basel III accord, which was designed to manage specific operational, capital and market risks of banks. A review of extant literature reveals that only a few papers have been written on simulation-based approaches, using basis and re-pricing risks. We look to connect this as a source while attempting to define and measure the impact of interest rate risk (IRR) on the economic value of equity (EVE) of banks. We propose to use the driverdriven method, wherein interest rate shocks are derived through prime lending rate (PLR) for the period of 20162019 in the context of India. Monte Carlo Simulation and OLS regression was performed to predict the IRR; Granger causality was used to examine the cause and effect relationship; the impulse response function (IRF) was used for sensitivity analysis; and the vector error correction model (VECM) technique was used for co-integrating relationships. Notably, the EVE movement caused due to shocks in interest rates had to be traced as it envisages probable EVE losses. Importantly, our study is among the first few to show the relationship between IRR and EVE of banks, especially after the deregulation of Indian banking sector. 2021 International Management Institute, New Delhi. -
Nexus between Entrepreneurial Education, Entrepreneurial Mindset, and Entrepreneurial Passion on Entrepreneurial Intentions: Mediating Role of Self-efficacy
This study examines the complex dynamics of factors affecting self-efficacy (SE) and entrepreneurial intentions (EIs) among engineering students in India. It investigates the mediating role of SE in the relationships between entrepreneurial education (EE), entrepreneurial mindset (EM), entrepreneurial passion (EP), and EIs. The research reveals that SE remains stable across various personal characteristics, highlighting it as a robust individual trait less influenced by external factors. Gender significantly impacts EIs, underscoring its pivotal role in shaping entrepreneurial intentions, while other personal characteristics show limited influence. Passion and mindset appear to be consistent across demographics, suggesting they are intrinsic qualities. SE serves as a mediator in the connections between entrepreneurial mindset, passion, and intentions, elucidating its pivotal role in the entrepreneurial process. EE indirectly affects EIs and SE through other factors in the research model. Entrepreneurial passion directly influences both EIs and SE, emphasizing its role as a driving force for entrepreneurship. An entrepreneurial mindset doesn't directly affect intentions but significantly influences SE, indicating its importance in shaping self-efficacy, which in turn influences intentions. The findings can guide the development of educational programs and initiatives designed to promote entrepreneurship among engineering students in India while considering the impact of self-efficacy and gender-related factors. 2024, Iquz Galaxy Publisher. Next-Generation Connectivity in A Heterogenous Railway World
Global System for Mobile communication - Railway (GSM-R) is widely used for operational communications between train and signaler. However, there is a need to define a successor that addresses: obsolescence, radio spectrum demand and the enabling of a range of emerging digital applications such as radio-based signaling and Automatic Train Control (ATC). Therefore, the International Union of Railways (UIC) started the initiative to develop the Future Railway Mobile Communication System (FRMCS). This article describes an Adaptable Communication System (ACS) that is being developed jointly by industry and railway operators as a possible successor covering all types of railways and all aspects of the FRMCS. A pragmatic approach is suggested that considers diverse railway settings and makes use of various radio access technologies. Countries, geographical regions and infrastructure managers differ concerning available radio technologies, but use of a suitable ACS could pave the way towards innovation in the railway sector. For this adaptive concept we discuss several network models and enhancements including satellite communications (SatCom), Software-Defined Networking (SDN) integration and antenna systems that support multiple bearers in one. For SatCom a software defined radio (SDR) prototype using random access is presented that is able to fulfill the requirements of ETCS. We found that SDN can be used for dynamically changing the access technology for critical and non-critical railway use cases. Furthermore, we present an antenna prototype that can be used for 5G, GSM, WLAN and LTE in parallel which saves limited mounting surface on the train. 1979-2012 IEEE. -

Newly designed single-stage dual leg DC-DC/AC buck-boost converter for grid connected solar system
This paper proposes a novel single-stage buck-boost inverter based on dual leg. Modulation techniques, working principle, guidelines for components design, and guidelines are discussed and presented. A theoretical concept is initially tested in Simulink platform and practically verified with a test bench model. A practical model is developed to verify the simulation model and tested different modes of operation are analyzed. The main advantages of the proposed work are as follows: The number of passive components is less, switching frequency components are not high so leakage current is very less, and voltage control in a wide range is achieved without using a DC link capacitor. High efficiency can be achieved due to multi-stage operation. This proposed work is suitable for high/low voltage PV-based energy conversion. Electromagnetic interference is also reduced due to continuous input current. 2023 John Wiley & Sons Ltd. -
NEWCOMERS SATISFACTION IN RELATION TO ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE SOCIALIZATION AND SELF-EFFICACY OF EMPLOYEES IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SECTOR
Rapid growth in IT sector poses unprecedented challenges to HR practices in organizations, which are primarily driven by constant pressure to recruit suitable candidates, meet the expectations of the new entrants and to reduce attrition. Some of the typical HR challenges faced by the rapid growth sectors are the expanding job demands that impact the structure and culture of the organization, the large recruitment of the new entrants and systematized induction training demands. In this dissertation, the focus is on understanding the socialization tactics of the new entrants in IT sector in terms of their role orientation, adjustment, organizational culture, self-efficacy and the overall satisfaction. Organizational Socialization of new employees has always been a critical process for most of the organizations. Over the years multiple aspects of socialization have been studied and the research on socialization has viewed it from multiple perspectives. Initially it was viewed as the process through which organizations acculturate the new entrants. However much of the recent research view it as a learning process in which the entrants role is much more important and organizations can only manage that process. The importance of socialization in organization needs to be overemphasized, as it is one of the essential components of building and maintaining organizational culture. The aspect of understanding organization culture is not a very new phenomenon but in most of the Indian organizations this study has not got momentum. Self-efficacy refers to ones personal belief regarding how capable one is in controlling events and situations in ones life, such as performing or completing specific tasks and behaviours. Socialization research has been conducted in several contexts. However, the context of IT sector has mostly been neglected. In the context of India there hasnt been much study. The lack of research this context coupled with contextual features of IT sector, which indicate greater new entrants self-efficacy with respect to their socialization tactics, has been the prime motive for this study. From such an interactionist perspective, it is necessary to investigate how both individual and organizational factors combine to influence (1) newcomers' subsequent adjustments to organizations (2) their role behaviours and (3) moderating effects of self-efficacy. The purpose of this study is to address these issues. The dependent variable is newcomers adjustment which is measured in terms of role outcomes such as role orientation, role conflict, role ambiguity and personal outcomes such as commitment to organization, intention to quit and job satisfaction. Independent variable is socialization tactics (collective vs. individual; formal vs. informal; investiture vs. divestiture; sequential vs. random; serial vs. disjunctive and fixed vs. variable). The moderating variables are demographic components such as gender, age, qualification, marital status, zone from where respondent has completed highest education, work-experience duration, number of past job experiences newcomers have and their future career choices. This study viewed socialization from an interactionist perspective and has investigated the link between socialization tactics and new entrants satisfaction. This study generated responses from newcomers having not more than 18 months of work- experience in a particular organization. The research includes responses from IT sector in Bangalore. A detailed standardized Questionnaire was adapted to be used as an instrumentation tool. The questionnaire was completed by 306 respondents using convenient sampling technique. The statistical techniques adopted are Cronbachs alpha reliability test, Descriptives (means and standard deviations), Percentile Quartile, Bivariate Correlations and ANOVA. Seven hypotheses were tested and analyzed. Innovative role orientation has a significant correlation with sequential random, serial disjunctive and fixed variable. A high score on orientation indicates an innovative role orientation in which a new entrant attempts to alter procedures for performing a role, the purpose of role itself, or both. There is significant influence of sequential random tactic followed by formal informal on the role orientation of the employees. In previous studies it was observed that invidualised tactics was positively correlated to innovative role orientation. But in current study the researcher found that institutionalized tactics were positively correlated to innovative role orientation. There is no significant influence of organizational culture on the satisfaction of the newcomers. The detailed findings, conclusions, and suggestions for further research have been discussed. Key Words: Organizational culture, Newcomers socialization tactics and Self-Efficacy -
New results on upper domatic number of graphs
For a graph G = (V, E), a partition ? = {V1, V2,..., Vk} of the vertex set V is an upper domatic partition if Vi dominates Vj or Vj dominates Vi or both for every Vi, Vj ? ?, whenever i 6= j. The upper domatic number D(G) is the maximum order of an upper domatic partition of G. We study the properties of upper domatic number and propose an upper bound in terms of clique number. Further, we discuss the upper domatic number of certain graph classes including unicyclic graphs and power graphs of paths and cycles. 2020 Azarbaijan Shahid Madani University -
New results on orthogonal component graphs of vector spaces over Zp
A new concept known as the orthogonal component graph associated with a finite-dimensional vector space over a finite field has been recently added as another class of algebraic graphs. In these types of graphs, the vertices will be all the possible non-zero linear combinations of orthogonal basis vectors, and any two vertices will be adjacent if the corresponding vectors are orthogonal. In this paper, we discuss the various colorings and structural properties of orthogonal component graphs. 2024 Azarbaijan Shahid Madani University. -
New Paradigm of Marketing-Financial Integration Modelling for Business Performance: An IMC Model
When it comes to the provision of financial services, the integrated marketing communication (IMC) process is crucial in the creation and maintenance of client-provider bonds. This research presents a literature assessment on the theoretical basis for using marketing communication tools in the provision of financial services. This research is an attempt to bolster the little theoretical literature on the effectiveness of marketing communication techniques in the provision of financial services. Financial service providers use marketing communication as a channel for two-way exchanges with their clientele, with the ultimate goal of maximising the benefits their customers bring to the company. When it comes to providing financial services, an organisations success hinges on its ability to effectively manage its relationships with both current and potential consumers. As a result, it is important for practical reasons to be guided by well-defined marketing communications goals to identify the extent of usage and within the constraints of available resources. In this regard, businesses are free to establish specific communications objectives in accordance with their unique situations to direct the implementation of their IMC plan. This study aims to find out an impact of financial integration with IMC on business performance. This study is descriptive in nature. Primary data is collected with the help of questionnaire. The study finds that the financial integration in the IMC model has a statistically significant impact on business success. New insights into surface functionalization and preparation methods of MWCNT based semiconductor photocatalysts
The manuscript primarily describes the influence of various synthesis strategies on the photocatalytic properties of MWCNT/TiO2 binary nanohybrids. The multiwalled carbon nanotube modified titania hybrids synthesized via two-step reaction involving the covalent functionalization with green and mild oxidizing agent like H2O2, followed by simple surfactant/template free hydrothermal synthesis exhibited the maximum photocatalytic efficiency. The Total Organic Carbon (TOC)analysis showed complete mineralization of the persistent Rhodamine B dye in about 8 h. These synthesized nanohybrids in varying MWCNT content were tested for their photocatalytic efficiency in the degradation of explosive effluents like 4-nitrophenol and picric acid. The UVVis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (UVVis DRS), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), BrunauerEmmettTeller Surface area analysis (BET), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), Transmission electron microscopy (TEM)and Raman spectra analysis evidently revealed the effective synergistic interaction between the MWCNT and titania at the interface that has contributed to the significant enhancement of photocatalytic performance. 2019 Elsevier Ltd and Techna Group S.r.l.
