The healthcare industry is facing significant challenges and opportunities after COVID-19. As we navigate the complexities of increasing healthcare costs and technological updates for better patient outcomes, innovative technologies are emerging as pivotal tools for healthcare transformation. Healthcare digital platforms have witnessed revolutionizing the dynamics of healthcare systems using disruptive technologies. However, while these technologies have garnered extensive attention for their transformative potential, there remains a critical gap in our understanding of the impact of digital technology on the healthcare industry. Population health management has critical challenges in data protection, sharing, and interoperability, where personalized medicines and wearable devices are highlighted as a concern. Patients and medical personnel need a safe and simple way to record, transmit, or access information through networks without concern for their safety. Using blockchain technology can help address these problems. Blockchain technology enhances medical data security by providing a decentralized, immutable ledger that ensures data integrity, transparency, and privacy. It enables fine-grained access control, improves interoperability, and resists cyber-attacks. Role of incorporated transition metal on surface properties and catalytic activity of mesoporous vanadium aluminophosphates in the synthesis of tetrahydroquinolin-5-(1H)-ones
Aluminophosphate incorporated with transition metals (Co, Cu, Fe, V) were synthesized by co-precipitation method. The synthesized materials were characterized by different techniques (pXRD, FT-IR, N2 adsorption-desorption, NH3-TPD) to understand the structural and textural properties. The incorporation of transition metal into aluminophosphate plays an important role in designing the surface properties like pore size, surface area, and surface acidity. The materials were studied as a catalyst for the synthesis of tetrahydroquinolin-5-(1H)-ones by a one-pot cyclocondensation reaction of dimedone, substituted benzaldehydes, 4-fluoro/4-nitro phenyl acetonitrile, and ammonium acetate in ethanol at 25 C. The structures of the compounds were identified and confirmed by FT-IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR and ESI-MS spectral data. The mesoporous nature of vanadium aluminophosphate (VAlP) along with a uniform pore size distribution, high surface acidity, surface area attributes to its high catalytic activity when compared to pure aluminophosphates. 2020 -
Data set on impact of COVID-19 on mental health of internal migrant workers in India: Corona Virus Anxiety Scale (CAS) approach
The article presents a unique dataset on mental health of internal Migrant workers in India. The dataset was constructed during the pandemic when the entire nation was the victim of stringent measures to curtail the spread of Corona Virus in the form of travel restrictions and lockdowns. We collected this data in our pursuit to submit a paper in response to call for paper in the Journal titled Migration and health. Non-availability of authentic data about the internal migrant workers triggered this effort to compile the data. We have recorded 1350 responses out of a 6897 Sample through snowball sampling method. Every respondent is said to be a referee for further driving of sample. The responses were collected between June 2 and August 30, 2020 through the telephonic interviews. Also, the consent of the respondents has been duly obtained for publication of the data without revealing their identity. The interview schedule was adopted by using Corona virus Anxiety Scale (CAS) which uses four dimension model namely Cognitive, Emotional, Behavioral and Psychological. The Interview schedule was originally designed in English but was later translated into three different languages after consulting the language experts. This article provides descriptive statistics of study variables along with socio economic factors. This dataset provides a significant platform for further research related to CAS and in assessment of mental health of vulnerable groups. 2021 -
Dataset exploring organizational culture of K-12 schools
Culture can be understood as an explicit social product arising from social interaction as an intentional or unintentional consequence of behavior. Educational Institutions culture differs from other organizational cultures as it impacts teachers' performance and students' learning. In this survey the definition of organizational culture used is given by Schein, The deeper level of basic assumptions and beliefs that are, learned responses to the group's problems of survival in its external environment and its problems of internal integration; are shared by members of an organization; that operate unconsciously; and that define in a basic taken -for-granted fashion in an organization's view of itself and its environment [1]. The data contains 1158 cases collected from K-12 School teachers on their perception of values and beliefs of their organizational culture using the OCTAPACE scale. Convenience sampling is used to obtain the data from teachers. The questionnaire was administered personally to teachers from sixty-five Private aided, Private unaided and Government schools. The eight dimensions measuring values and beliefs of Educational Institutions organizational culture are Pro-action, Authenticity, Openness, Collaboration, Experimenting, Trust, Confrontation and Autonomy. Descriptive statistics are computed from the dataset. The dataset can be used by researchers for meta analysis on organizational culture and school management can explore in depth the need for an organizational culture of autonomy, experimenting, collaboration and openness among teachers. 2022 The Authors -
What fuels the employees in startups?: Data on hybrid/colocated/virtual working environment towards efficiency
Purpose: This article examines the concepts of workplace satisfaction and productivity using data. The data will be used to investigate the variables contributing to employee satisfaction to achieve optimum efficiency through various startup working environments. Design/ Methodology/ Approach: Descriptive causal investigation. A structured instrument scale questionnaire via the internet to 256 employees working for highly organized organizations in Bangalore, India, using Qualtrics. The researcher adopted a simple random sampling method. Findings: The respondents in the data believed that the pre-covid workplace was advantageous. The hybrid model's prevalence of autonomy and flexibility increases work productivity. When employees are given more responsibility, their job satisfaction and productivity increase. Research Limitations/ Implications: Collecting data in a startup was extremely difficult due to the difficulty of obtaining permission, and through the analysis, it was determined that businesses have a responsibility to provide supplemental benefits to remote employees, which may increase the level of job satisfaction and enjoyment experienced by these individuals. 2023 The Author(s) -
Survey data on bullying involvement among school-going adolescents in India
The data was collected from 169 school-going adolescents of grades sixth to twelfth from two cities in South India. The data set contains information of the frequency and type of bullying involvement (perpetration and victimization; physical, verbal, and social) among the participants in traditional and virtual classrooms. The data set can be used by all stakeholders to identify the frequency and types of bullying involvement among Indian adolescents. Further, relevant policies and programs can be developed that is tailored to the Indian adolescent population and the specific sociodemographic groups that are most vulnerable. Researchers can also replicate the study in various parts of India to compare bullying involvement among school-going adolescents across different parts of the nation. 2024 The Author(s) -
Raman spectrum of graphite layers in Indian coal
Two Indian coals of different rank (bituminous and subbituminous coal) have been demineralized by chemical method. Fourier transform Raman spectroscopy studies have been performed to study the changes in functional groups. Well resolved G peak is observed at 1605 cm-1 and 1590 cm-1 both in bituminous coal and subbituminous coal. With HF leaching, this doublet is reduced to a singlet along with reduction of frequency to 1585 cm -1 in subbituminous coal, where as in bituminous coal the absorption become very distinct. Bituminous coal is showing more intense absorption with HF leaching in this region where as subbituminous coal is shown a reduction in intensity. G' band is observed at ? 2700 cm-1 with almost the same intensity as that of G band. This confirms the presence of multilayer formation of graphite layer. The defect band at 1355 cm-1 is due to benzene or condensed benzene rings present in amorphous carbon. This band is weak in the present study. This is mainly due to immature nature of subbituminous coal than the higher rank bituminous coal. Graphite structure is remained behind after chemical leaching liberated oxygenated functional groups and mineral groups. The decrease of ID/IG ratio indicates that graphitization is increased in bituminous coal. 2011 American Institute of Physics. -
Dimensionality reduction based on the classifier models: Performance Issues in the prediction of Lung cancer
Dimensionality reduction is an essential feature to reduce the complexity of the computations in the large data set environment. When handling large quantum of medical data set, as in the case like, Lung cancer prediction, based on symptoms and Risk factors, number of attributes/ dimensions pose a major challenge. Here in this study an attempt is made to compare the performance of the attribute selection models prior and after applying the classifier models. A total of 16 classifier models are chosen, which are based on statistical, rule based, logic based and artificial Neural network approaches. Feature set selection and ranking of attributes are done based on individual models. Confusion matrix of the models before and after dimensionality reduction is computed. Based on the confusion matrix result the models are compared and based on the performance optimal model is chosen. It is found that Multi-layer perceptron based artificial neural network model gives better performance compared to other approaches. 2012 IEEE. -

A Survey of Traditional and Cloud Specific Security Issues
The emerging technology popularly referred to as Cloud computing offers dynamically scalable computing resources on a pay per use basis over the Internet. Companies avail hardware and software resources as service from the cloud service provider as opposed to obtaining physical assets. Cloud computing has the potential for significant cost reduction and increased operating efficiency in computing. To achieve these benefits, however, there are still some challenges to be solved. Security is one of the prime concerns in adopting Cloud computing, since the user's data has to be released from the protection sphere of the data owner to the premises of cloud service provider. As more Cloud based applications keep evolving, the associated security threats are also growing. In this paper an attempt has been made to identify and categorize the security threats applicable to Cloud environment. Threats are classified into Cloud specific security issues and traditional security attacks on various service delivery models of Cloud. The work also briefly discusses the virtualization and authentication related issues in Cloud and tries to consolidate the various security threats in a classified manner. Energy sector in India: Challenges and solutions
Energy plays a vital role in the socio-economic development and human welfare of a country. It is indeed a difficult task to meet the ever increasing demand with minimum environmental risks. Population explosion and economic growth are the two major facts that drives the energy demands. The economic growth rate of India has hit the decade low of 5% in 2012-13, which shows the challenges yet to come. India being a fast developing nation with second largest population in the world, faces a significant challenge to meet the desired economic growth rate and to provide adequate access to affordable and clean energy for a large population. With the growing concern about India's population, energy demands and climatic issues, it is difficult to formulate a sustainable energy plan for the country. At the same time energy plan should have minimal effects on the health of nature by reducing CO2 emissions. To cut down CO2 emissions, to reduce fossil fuel import bills and to reduce the dependence on a third country energy supplies, India has to increase the share of renewable energy sources in the country's final energy consumption to at least 18% by 2020. This paper provides a comprehensive overview of India's energy sector, discusses the current scenario, identifies the energy utilization, challenges and puts forward some effective solutions in meeting the increasing energy demands. 2013 IEEE.
