INDUCED nK2 DECOMPOSITION OF INFINITE SQUARE GRIDS AND INFINITE HEXAGONAL GRIDS
The induced nK2 decomposition of infinite square grids and hexagonal grids are described here. We use the multi-level distance edge labeling as an effective technique in the decomposition of square grids. If the edges are adjacent, then their color difference is at least 2 and if they are separated by exactly a single edge, then their colors must be distinct. Only non-negative integers are used for labeling. The proposed partitioning technique per the edge labels to get the induced nK2 decomposition of the ladder graph is the square grid and the hexagonal grid. 2022, Krasovskii Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics. INDUCED REGULAR PERFECT GRAPHS
A graph G is said to be R-perfect if, for all induced subgraphs H of G, the induced regular independence number of each induced subgraph H is equal to its corresponding induced regular cover. Here, the induced regular independence number is the maximum number of vertices in H such that no two belong to the same induced regular subgraph in H, and the induced regular cover of H is the minimum number of induced regular subgraphs in H required to cover the vertex set of H. This article introduces the notion of induced regular perfect graphs or R-perfect graphs through which we study the structural properties of R-perfect graphs and identify a forbidden class of graphs for the same. This further leads to the characterization of R-perfect biconnected graphs. Induced signed graphs of some classes of graphs
A signed graph is a graph with positive or negative signs assigned to edges. An induced signed graph is a signed graph constructed from a given graph according to some pre-defined protocols. Induction of radio frequency transmission in indian railway for smooth running of traffic during fog
Our railway system drives whole sole based on its electrical signaling but due to poor visibility it becomes impossible to run the traffic smoothly We are suggesting to use radio wave communication technology for running of train when conventional signaling cant be followed due to poor visibility. During winter season, due to heavy fog especially in North India and East India it becomes almost impossible to drive the train on time. Our idea can remove this problem permanently. A dedicated radio frequency band will be used by railway service and a specific frequency will be assigned to all tracks running to a specific direction. All trains will be equipped with a transmitter and a receiver. Train drivers will get notification of received radio frequency within a certain circumference (5 km). So if it receives the same frequency which it is transmitting then the driver will understand another train is there on the same track so signaling room and the driver will also be aware of the fact. Then the control room or the driver can take action considering speed and distance between this two accordingly. Industrial Applications of Hybrid Nanocatalysts and Their Green Synthesis
Abstract: The era of industrial revolution has been hugely dependent on a myriad of catalysts. The present era has contributed another dimension to this by the advent of nanocatalysts. The last decades saw even more fine tuning with the use of hybrid nanocatalysts by the integration of a plethora of functionalities into a single nanoparticle. The extremely high surface area, low toxicity, easy recovery and reusability, high product output and possibilities of green synthesis makes hybrid nanocatalysts significant in various fields like bioremediation, fuel cell production, cleaner energy production, dye degradation etc. Metal based hybrid nanocatalysts are highly appealing due to their extremely high surface over volume ratio, entailing unique electronic properties and access to more reaction sites. The recent years have seen more thrust being given to greener modes of synthesis of nanocatalysts, rather than the classical modes (which uses hazardous chemicals), aligning with sustainability goals.The current review is an attempt to explore the myriad uses of magnetic, metal and metal oxide hybrid nanocatalysts and their green synthesis methods. Optimizing the use of hybrid nanocatalysts in various domains would definitely help us achieve the SDGs of the United Nations for a more sustainable life on this planet. Industry Internet of Things (IIoT) Adoption Pressures in SME OEMs
Small and Medium Original Equipment Manufacturers (SME OEMs) face challenges in IIoT adoption due to a lack of technical expertise, additional costs, and preferences of the end-users and significant institutional pressures. This research investigates the influence of Environmental Attitude on the Adoption Intention of Industry Internet of Things (IIoT) technologies among Small and Medium Enterprises and Original Equipment Manufacturers (SME-OEMs). This research analyses the effects of End-user Pull and Institutional Pressure in this relationship. A survey of 263 SME OEMs from 11 industrial sectors across 67 cities was conducted using purposive sampling. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was used to analyze data, assessing direct and indirect effects. Results show a significant positive relationship between Environmental Attitude and IIoT Adoption Intention. Mediation analysis reveals significant indirect effects through End-user Pull and Institutional Pressure, with complete mediation as the direct effect becomes insignificant. Findings highlight the crucial role of environmental attitude in shaping IIoT adoption intentions among SMEs. A positive environmental attitude drives SMEs to explore IIoT benefits. End-user Pull and Institutional Pressure are key mediators in this process. These insights are valuable for industry stakeholders, policymakers, and SMEs aiming to promote IIoT adoption. Fostering a positive environmental attitude and leveraging End-user Pull and Institutional Pressure can facilitate IIoT adoption. Policymakers can create initiatives to raise environmental awareness and encourage sustainable practices through IIoT. INFLUENCE OF RADIATIVE TRANSFER ON RAYLEIGH-B??NARD-MARANGONI CONVECTION IN A COUPLE-STRESS FLUID SATURATED POROUS MEDIUM
The problem of Rayleigh-Benard-Marangoni convection in a couple-stress fluid saturated porous medium with thermal radiation is studied within the framework of linear stability analysis. Only infinitesimal disturbances are considered. The linear stability analysis is based on the normal mode technique. The Darcy law is used to model the momentum equation. The fluid between the boundaries absorbs and emits thermal radiation. The boundaries are treated as black bodies. The absorption coefficient of the fluid is assumed to be the same at all wavelengths and to be independent of the physical state. The principle of exchange of stabilities is valid and the existence of oscillatory instability is ruled out. The expression for the stationary Darcy-Rayleigh number is obtained as a function of the governing parameters, viz., the wave number, the couple-stress parameter, the conduction-radiation parameter, the absorptivity parameter, the Marangoni number and the Biot number. The Galerkin method is used to determine the eigenvalues. The effect of various parameters on the stability of the fluid layer is discussed through figures and tables. -
Influence of acculturation on the ambition level of second and third generation migrants of Andaman and Nicobar Islands
Andaman and Nicobar Islands witnessed migration from 1857 during the penal settlement plan of the British Government followed by Independent migration after 1947. Government extended certain facilities to the migrants like job reservation, easy access to government jobs in the Islands, reservation for higher education etc during the 50's, 60's and 70's. Population of the Islands have now reached to an alarming level and the facilities and opportunities have shrunk down, yet people have not changed their mindset rather anything related to their ambition remain in and around the Islands only. This study aims to understand how acculturation has influenced the ambition level of the 2nd and 3rd generation migrants of the Islands. The study proposes to follow the methodology based on grounded theory. Using Theoretical sampling method, second and third generation migrants of the Islands were recruited. Individual interview sessions, lasting approximately 45 to 90 minutes were conducted with the participants to know how acculturation has impacted their ambition level. The transcripts of the interviews were thematically analysed with the help of NVivo 10. The attachment of the migrants to the Islands, their preference about education and ambition and cultural aspect were found to be the major aspects in shaping of ambition of the second and third generation migrants of the Islands. Influence of agricultural wastes on larval growth phases of the black soldier fly, Hermetia illucens (Diptera: Stratiomyidae): An integrated approach
Insects are an effective tool for converting nutrients in agricultural by-products into protein-rich biomass and compost. Black soldier fly (BSF) (Hermetia illucens) larvae are currently one of the insect species widely used as a protein source in aquafeed globally. Although much effort has been spent on the use of BSF in aquafeed, there is not much information on the biology of the insect, especially with the morphology of the BSF. This study aimed to evaluate the influence of various organic wastes, such as fruit wastes (FW) and vegetable wastes (VW), on different growth phases of BSF larva (BSFL), using morphometric and scanning electron microscopic examinations, and the composition of the compost produced, as well as a method for upscaling of larval production of BSFL. Faster growth was observed in BSFL fed with VW substrate (40 days) compared to the FW (46 days). Based on the morphometric measurements such as length, larval head length, total length etc., five larval stages, prepupal and pupal stage of BSFL were differentiated and described. In addition, SEM imaging of BSF mouth parts found that the mouth morphology of the BSF larvae and prepupal stage differed, and the BSF prepupa had reduced mouthparts. Also, the mandibular-maxillary complex was well developed than the BSF prepupa. BSFL larvae have proven to convert fruit and vegetable waste into high-quality residue fertilizer for the soil. The BSF compost showed optimum nitrogen, phosphorous, potassium, calcium and sulphur content. This research establishes a baseline knowledge and guidance on the BSF-rearing facilities. Author (s). Influence of alkali treatment on physiochemical and morphological properties of palmyra fibers
As a part of sustainable development in construction, natural fibers are used as reinforcement in cement composites. The degradation of these natural fibers in matrix has led to growing interest among researchers to enhance the fiber properties by adopting suitable treatment techniques. This research focuses on examining the influence of alkali treatment on various aspects, including the physical, chemical, crystallinity, mechanical and surface characteristics of palmyra fibers. Herein, the palmyra fibers were immersed in alkaline solution for different duration (30 minutes, 60 minutes and 120 minutes) to arrive at optimum treatment period. The investigation utilizes XRD, FTIR, SEM and EDS analysis to gain insights into these properties. The findings indicated that the treatment effectively removed excess amorphous components like extractives, hemicellulose and lignin leading to the increase in crystallinity index and surface roughness. The crystallinity index increased by 11 %, 13 % and 23 % for 30 minutes, 60 minutes and 120 minutes treatment respectively. The water absorption of palmyra fibers reduced by 13 %, 14 % and 14 % for 30 minutes, 60 minutes and 120 minutes treatment duration respectively. Additionally, SEM-EDS exhibited best results for 60 min treatment of fibers, with 38 % increase in Oxygen to Carbon ratio of cellulose compared to untreated fibers. Among the different treatment duration, the 60 minutes treatment duration of fibers in 0.5 M sodium hydroxide solution has exhibited considerable enhancement in properties. Influence of annealing on the morphological, structural and electrochemical properties of Co3O4 spinel electrodes
Effectual use of energy requires the conversion and storage device with great ability. In this research, Co3O4 nanoparticles are achieved via facile and low-cost reflux method. The consequence of annealing treatment on morphological, structural, and electrochemical behaviors of produced Co3O4 (350, 550, 750 and 950 C) nanoparticles are investigated. XRD analysis exposes the formation of cubic Co3O4 spinel above 300 C annealing temperature. SEM and EDX study demonstrate that the morphology of Co3O4 nanoparticles changes with different annealing temperatures. The electrochemical performance of prepared Co3O4 (350950 C) nanoparticles was determined via charge-discharge experiment, and electrochemical impedance, cyclic voltammetry studies. It exposes that the annealing treatments have an important effect on the specific capacitances. Among them, the optimized Co3O4 (950 C) electrode demonstrates the best capacitive behaviors in the three-electrode cell, which exhibitions the best capacitance value of 1388 Fg?1 at 5 mVs?1 and outstanding cycling capability of 97.2 % capacitance even after 5000 cycles. The asymmetric supercapacitor device assembled by Co3O4 (950 C) displays a capacitance value of 519.3 Fg?1 for 5 mVs?1 and long reversible capacity (92.7 % capacitance retains after 5000 cycles) and a high-power density (26.7 W h Kg?1). These outcomes exposed that the Co3O4 (950 C) nanoparticles could be a perfect candidate for eminent electrochemical application as electrode materials. These results state that Co3O4 nanoparticles are a multipurpose material and thus can be applied in numerous applications namely gas sensors, fuel cells, solar cells, electrochemical sensors, and photocatalysis. 2023 Elsevier Ltd -
Influence of atmospheric plasma spray process parameters on crystal and micro structures of pyrochlore phase in rare earth zirconate thermal barrier coatings
Yttria-stabilized zirconia (YSZ) thermal barrier coatings is most widely used in gas turbine engines applications and its primary role is to protect the underlying base metal from degradation at its high temperature (>1000 C) service environment. While YSZ serves well in this role, materials with higher thermal stability and lower thermal conductivities are required to be developed for attaining higher operating temperatures and thereby higher energy conversion efficiencies. A number of rare-earth zirconates which form the cubic fluorite-derived pyrochlore structures (A2B2O7) where A: La, Gd, Sm, Ce and B: Zr are being developed, some compositions are more attractive due to their good amalgamation of thermal and mechanical properties. However, when these materials are plasma spray coated on metal substrates, the favorable properties are not immediately realized due to various contributing factors such as poor adhesion/cohesion, microstructure (porosity, defects) or even incomplete stabilization or destabilization of the desired phase (crystal structure) after passing through the plasma. In this paper, plasma sprayable powders of zirconate pyrochlores (or with disordered fluorite structures) synthesized from using La and Ce as the trivalent ''A cation, were plasma sprayed onto Inconel 718 substrates, by using different plasma spray parameters. Influence of Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response on Relaxation States: An Experimental Study
Multiple studies have stated that autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) induces relaxation. ASMR is defined as a static tingling-like sensation across the scalp and back of the head, experienced by some people in response to specific audio and visual triggers like tapping, whispering, and slow hand movements. This study explores the relaxation states and the stress states on which ASMR videos have the highest impact. Data from 60 college students with a mean age of 22 years and a standard deviation of 1.12 were collected for this study, among which 30 were assigned to an experimental group and 30 were assigned to a control group single blindly. The relaxation states and stress states were measured using Smith Relaxation Scale Inventory (SRSI) for the pretest and Smith Relaxation Posttest Inventory (SRPI) for the posttest. The experimental group watched an ASMR video, and the control group watched a neutral video between the pretest and posttest. SPSS version 16 was used for data analysis. Influence of behavioural traits on investment decisions
Behavioural traits exhibited by individual investors play a vital role in the investment decisions made by the investor. In this research, the researcher has identified the different behavioural traits shown by different individual investors by their unique characteristics. The study was conducted on a sample size of 811 individual investors from different parts of Bengaluru. The study classified the investment decisions into four aspects and also identified whether investment decisions vary significantlly due to demographic factors. The study further developed a model which explains the linkages between behavioural traits to investment attitude and investment attitude to investment decisions. Review of literature revealed that there exists a gap in the studies in behavioural finance showing the linkages between an investor's behavioural traits and investment attitude and investment decisions. Even though many research happened to identify the personality traits of individual investors, no significant attempt was made to study the linkage between behavioural traits on investment decisions. In this study, an attempt was made to show how individual investors behavioural traits can affect the investment attitude and how investment attitude can affect the investment decision of an individual investor. Result of the study indicated that behavioural traits influences the investment decisions of individual investors. The model developed in the study also proved a linkage between behavioural traits , investment attitude and investment decisions of individual investors with the moderating effect of demograpic factors.
