A Strategic Review on Use of Polyhydroxyalkanoates as an Immunostimulant in Aquaculture
Background and Objective: Increasing concerns over the use of antibiotics in aquaculture have emerged researchers to focus on short chain fatty acids and other biocompatible molecules as alternatives for disease prophylaxis and treatment. Polyhydroxyalkanoates well studied as biopolymeric materials for using in packaging and biomedicine were not focused much for their abilities to act as antimicrobial agents in aquaculture until recent years. Application studies of polyhydroxyalkanoates as aquafeed additives have highlighted their promising roles as ecofriendly alternatives for commercial antibiotics with strong immunomodulatory effects in fish-es and shrimps. The major aim of this review was to explore up-to-date scientific research studies on use of polyhydroxyalkanoates as aquafeed additives and their immunomodulatory effects. Results and Conclusion: Up-to-date, limited scientific literatures have been published on the use of polyhydroxyalkanoates and their copolymers as alternatives to antibiotics in aquaculture. This research field includes a great scope of development due to the promising immu-nomodulatory and antimicrobial activity of polyhydroxyalkanoates against common pathogens in aquaculture, as reported in literatures. Although several hypothesis and research data for explaining the mechanisms behind their immunostimulatory effects were suggested by various researchers, genetic and molecular bases underlying these phenomena are yet to be explored. Further research and development in this area can introduce these biopolymers as the most promising eco-friendly alternatives for antibiotics in aquaculture. A strong technique for solving the fractional model of multi-dimensional Schnakenberg reaction-diffusion system
In recent times, researchers have increasingly directed their focus toward Reaction-Diffusion models, attracted by their versatile applications across various scientific domains. Within these models, the Schnakenberg Reaction-Diffusion System (SRDS) has gained significant attention for its ability to explain intricate phenomena such as oscillatory behavior, limit cycles, pattern formations and diffusion in biochemistry. This paper specifically delves into the Fractional Schnakenberg Reaction Diffusion System (FSRDS), an extension of SRDS that incorporates principles of fractional calculus. This extension provides a more comprehensive framework for understanding complex dynamics. The unique aspect of this work lies in the innovative approach used to derive an analytical solution for FSRDS - the Residual Power Series Method with Laplace Transform (L.T.)/Laplace Residual Power series Method (LRPSM). By employing LRPSM and considering the provided initial conditions, our objective is to unveil an analytical solution for FSRDS. 2025 World Scientific Publishing Company. -
A structural approach towards reinvigorating student satisfaction in industrial training institutes a contemplating outlook
The research paper focused to conceptualize and empirically test the conceptual model of student satisfaction proposed for Indian vocational education and training (VET), precisely industrial training institutes (ITIs). Even though the upgradation of ITIs through public-private partnership (PPP) is emphasized from the previous decade, little empirical evidence exists about the quality of the institutes. Improved quality in ITIs helps in increased employability of the students and would help in meeting Indias projected skill demand of 191 million youths by 2022. Empirical data were collected from upgraded ITIs of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states to assess student satisfaction. Student satisfaction gives the measure of student feedback on the quality of the courses. PLS-SEM was applied to develop measurement and structural models. Subsequently, statistical values were used to estimate the validity and reliability of the models. Besides, the predictive accuracy of the model was also tested. The data analysis assisted to ascertain whether to accept or reject the hypothesized relations proposed based on the conceptual model. The results proved that institute quality factors were positively correlated with student satisfaction. Eventually, it was observed that industry exposure was a significant determinant of student satisfaction followed by training facilities & equipment, trainer credibility, learning environment, and placement and counseling services. Above all being said, it can be posited that focusing on the above all quality factors would help in enhancing the quality of ITIs. 2021, Associated Management Consultants Pvt. Ltd.. A study investigating the role of economic uncertainty and factors affecting futures indices mispricing
In this paper, we investigate (a) what are the factors that affect the mispricing in benchmark and sectoral indices; (b) the role of economic policy uncertainty (EPU) on the mispricing in future indices; and (c) is there any relationship between the magnitude of mispricing in future indices and the number of factors affecting it. The study deploys regression analysis on the 6930 observations during the period of 2009-2019 for three major indices i.e., Nifty, Nifty Bank and Nifty IT respectively. The study reports that (a) time to maturity and lag of mispricing affect all three indices positively whereas open interest affects Nifty Bank and Nifty IT negatively and spot volume affects only Nifty IT positively; (b) EPU affects positively to all three indices, reflecting that uncertainty increases the mispricing in the stock market; (c) magnitude of the mispricing is directly related to the number of factors affecting that mispricing. A study of airfoil flap deflection angle using cfd simulation techniques
This research aims with the advent of advancements in the evaluation of liquids and gases, Computational Fluid Dynamics technique has found widespread applications in various fields including aerodynamics. The wing is an important aerodynamic feature that has seen modifications in recent years to suffice the growing need for a greater maximum lift coefficient (CL). Existing designs make use of greater lift gadgets such as flaps and slats these are enhancers of the lift force and are at large used as attachments on the main wing body. This project investigates the 4 digit NACA 2412 airfoil improved using a 5 digit NACA 24012 Fowler flap. The two airfoils are set at particular angles to each other with an overlap and gap distance. Optimization of the flap deflection angle ?flap, the horizontal gap, and overlap between the flap and wing is simulated using CFD tools and the obtained coefficients of lift and drag experimentally validated to determine the optimum model configurations. It is noted that the coefficients of lift and drag increase to a certain point as the flap deflection angle increases. However, beyond a certain angle, CL drops. This new multi-element wing configuration will find its applications in low-speed aircraft used for general aviation and to reduce the need for longer runways. TJPRC Pvt. Ltd. -

A study of CNN models for re-identification of vehicles
Vehicle Re-identification has evolved in recent times. Initially, clicking a single picture of a vehicle or a car was done manually, inviting the workforce to complete a specified task. With the growth in technology, the method and techniques in Vehicle Re-Id also have advanced, transforming from manual to automation. Surveillance cameras were used to capture vehicle images and retrieve information about a specific vehicle. Re-trieving and identifying the images of the vehicle is done using computer vision, the most important branch of computer science and artificial intelligence. Earlier, Vehicle Re-Id implemented a single algorithm on a dataset, making the corresponding result insufficient to determine its effects. This paper proposes a brief survey of multi-modal techniques and methods for vehicle re-identification and fingerprinting. The different attributes of the vehicle are considered for ANPR (Automatic number plate recognition) for identifying the number plate, focusing on the vehicle's details or features as the initial phase of identification, and then the vehicle number plate. 2023 IEEE. -

A STUDY OF CUSTOMERS EXPECTATION TOWARDS DEPOSITORY PARTICIPANTS OF BANGALORE CITY
The exponential growth of the capital market witnessed in recent years had resulted in a near complete breakdown of the paper based transaction system. The amount of capital raised has shot up, the number of issues had increased substantially, trading volumes on the stock exchanges had grown several fold and the markets had become institutionalised with the entry of Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) and private mutual funds. As a result, there had been an increase in paper work causing a gridlock at every stage. This delays the clearance and settlement of trades, registration of securities and increases back office paper work for intermediaries. The outdated systems had increased settlement risks and have rendered the implementation of a Delivery versus Payment (DP) system impossible. The systemic risks face further threat by theft, forgery, bad delivery, issue of fake share certificates and loss of certificates. This had eroded investor confidence. In this scenario, it was felt that the setting up of a Depository and introduction of scrip less trading would improve the efficiency of Indian Capital markets. Investors also face lot of problems in registering the certificates, and also lose money and time because of fake certificates and bad deliveries in traditional manual method of transaction system. These demerits are reduced in the on-line trading system. Most of investors go to the share brokers to for any of the services to be availed may be professional help or online trading system. The purpose of this study is find out what are the customers expectations from the depository and depository participants, what are the rules to be followed by the depository, depository participants and investors. There may be various factors which may affect the customer while choosing the depository participant. The study is undertaken to perform the comparison of various Depository Participants in Bangalore City and the customers perception about the Depository Participants. The Descriptive Research and Analytical method is selected for this study as the data will be collected from the sample containing a large number of customers. Convenience sampling is used for this research. This study includes the investors of Bangalore Stock Exchange in Bangalore city. The sample size will be 200 respondents. The study will take into account the following 5 different depository participants: Bangalore Stock Exchange Industrial Credit and Investment Corporation of India (ICICI Bank) HDFC Bank The Vysya Bank Ltd. Stock Holding Corporation of India Ltd. The study also contains certain limitations such as this study will be restricted only to Bangalore City due to time constraint. The study may be limited to the extent of information and materials provided by the stock exchange and the customers. The major findings of the study are as follows: ?It was found that dematerialisation of the securities is the most favourable among respondents with 39% ?Almost all respondents have rated their DP services either good or average ?It was found that 78% of the respondents do not want to change their existing DP only few want to shift to the new DP ?Most of the respondents prefer convenience as the major parameter for selecting their DPs other factors have less criteria ?Most of the respondents feel that the price charged by the DPs are reasonable and their execution of orders are faster ?Online trading services provided by DP are good and the DPs are approachable in respect of any factors such as to resolve problems ?The access to professional assistance given by the DPs are rated to be good by the respondents ?The respondents have rated that probably they would recommend others to be a member in the particular DP ? There is no significant relationship between price charged by various DPs and choice of particular DP ?There is no significant relationship between time taken to open an account by various DPs and choice of a particular DP Conclusion: in todays technological world where technology keeps changing on day to day basis, online trading of securities market has a bright future where Bank DP as well as BSE should to bring awareness among the customers and as well as attract the customers to invest on securities.
