HRM challenges and employee wellbeing in the tourism industry: Moderating role of organizational culture
The current study aims to understand the Challenges faced by Tourism sector employees and its effect on employee well being. Also the moderating effect of Organizational culture is measured. Staff members of airlines, hotels, and travel agencies provided the main data used in this quantitative analysis. A total of 122 individuals were deemed suitable for the study according to the Kregcie-Morgan table. Using the HRM Challenges, Employee Wellbeing, and Organizational Culture measure as a starting point, a carefully crafted questionnaire was developed. Gaskins' master validity table was used to evaluate the reliability and validity of the questionnaire. Analysis of the data was done using SPSS for factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis with. The findings show that there is a negative impact of HRM challenges on the employee wellbeing. But when organization culture is introduced as a moderator, it dampens the effect of challenges on employee wellbeing. Sustainability assurance in Islamic finance: Improving sharia compliance and social responsibility
This study aims to explore the application of sustainability assurance in increasing sharia compliance and social responsibility of Islamic financial institutions. By highlighting methodologies, challenges, and best practices, this study evaluates how sustainability assurance can support sustainability reporting that is transparent, credible, and compliant with sharia principles. The limits of AI in teaching partition literature: A critical perspective on the risks of algorithmic interpretation in sensitive historical contexts
The application of generative AI in the classroom is transforming conventional methods of literary analysis and instruction, but it also raises serious concerns and limitations. This chapter critically examines these limitations within the context of teaching 1947 Partition literature in Indian college classrooms. Using a qualitative and experimental methodology, the chapter analyzes AI-generated responses to Partition narratives, revealing ChatGPT's inability to capture the historical trauma, moral accountability, and cultural depth embedded in these texts. Findings show that AI-generated interpretations often flatten complex human experiences and reduces them to simplistic patterns or generalized tropes. The chapter argues that such algorithmic interpretations risk distorting historical memory and promoting academic irresponsibility. Identifying the Determinants of Maladaptive Pain Perception and Response Patterns: Predictive Analysis With XGBoost and Random Forests
A complex interplay of psychological, biological, and social factors influences pain perception and response patterns. This study aims to identify the determinants of maladaptive pain perception and response patterns through predictive analysis using psychological variables such as resilience, neuroticism, extraversion, grit, and optimism. A quantitative approach was used, incorporating predictive modeling techniques (decision trees, XGBoost, and Random Forests) to assess pain cata strophizing and sensitivity among 305 Indians. The XGBoost classifier predicting clinically significant pain catastrophizing achieved an accuracy of 74%. Findings indicate that neuroticism is a key predictor of pain-related outcomes, with resil ience & optimism serving as protective factors. The study highlights the potential for personalized interventions by utilizing machine learning models to optimize predictor levels for improved pain management.
