The Integration of HMS using IOMT and CE Through ANFIS
Advances in the IoMT-enabled cloud computing and interactive applications provide a basis for reconsidering the landscape for delivery of healthcare services. Even though the IoMT-cloud-based systems monitor patients remotely, it fails to take into account the sustainability of the healthcare systems. The paper presents the integrated framework of green healthcare under the umbrella of unique technology to enhance user interactivity. Our system is user-friendly, considering scalability and performance for both patients and doctors. Patients can send their health data to the doctor in real time with the help of the wearable sensor. We propose that in the presence of Hierarchical Clustering Algorithms and adaptive neuo-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) for identification and analysis of the data, the applied solutions could enhance the healthcare experience interaction among all the stakeholders. 2024 IEEE. -
Green Bonds: A Propitious Financial Instrument of Climate Finance
Green bonds are a comparatively recent investment mechanism for green initiatives and are perceived as the first line of climate change protection. The aim of the article is to decide if the issuing of a green bond is perceived to be good news for market players, and also to ascertain whether developing markets, relative to established markets, are more inclined towards green bonds to tackle climate change. The study used an international sample of recent green bond issues and illustrated the possible effects of the issuing of a green bond for the issuer. A sample of 392 green bonds released from 2017 to 2020 is included. Event study methodology is used to analyse investor response to green bond issuance. Over the years, emerging markets have been found to be keen on greening projects by green bonds, much in line with established markets. The findings suggest that on the day of issuance of the green bonds the stock market responds adversely and reacts positively after the day. Hence statistical technique is applied on different event windows to obtain the cumulative abnormal returns (CAR). Statistical analysis concludes that the market responds adversely to the issuing of a green bond. This influence is particularly evident in the first issuing of green bonds and in developing markets. This research shows that proposals of green debt transmit unfavourable knowledge about the issuing companies. These results are relevant only in the case of green bonds issued by listed firms. 2023 MDI. -

Enhancing Patient Safety and Efficiency in Intravenous Therapy: A Comprehensive Analysis of Smart Infusion Monitoring Systems
Intravenous (IV) fluids, comprising vitamin-rich solutions, are administered to address patient electrolyte imbalances and dehydration through IV infusion therapy. Infusion pumps are integral for precise medication dosage delivery in this common medical procedure, generally posing low risks. These fluids are stored in polypropylene bags connected to patients through tubes. However, when the IV bag empties, the patients blood may flow backward into the IV tube due to higher blood pressure, known as diffusion, potentially leading to complications like air embolism-life-threatening if air enters the bloodstream through the IV line, obstructing blood flow to vital organs. Smart IV Bags emerged as a solution to mitigate such risks, eliminating the need for manual IV bag monitoring while preventing reverse blood flow. This research comprehensively assesses various IoT-enabled IV Bag monitoring systems, comparing their strengths, weaknesses, and unique features. Key evaluation criteria include component efficiency, real-world applicability, accuracy, latency, and technical specifications. The aim is to provide an objective evaluation of each Smart Intravenous Liquid Monitoring System to inform future developments in this field. A systematic approach ensures the selection of systems that best meet specific requirements in diverse healthcare environments. 2024 Scrivener Publishing LLC. -
Smart Intravenous Infusion Monitoring and Alert System using IoT-based Force Sensitive Resistor and Whatabot API
Intravenous fluids with vitamins are given to people who are dehydrated and have an imbalance of electrolytes. When the IV bag is empty, the patient's blood flows through the IV line toward the empty bag because their blood pressure is higher than the IV bag's. This process, called diffusion can lead to pain and loss of blood. If the IV bag is empty and hooked up to the patient, air can get into the bloodstream. The air bubble enters the patient's bloodstream, causing the same catastrophic effects. This paper aims to eliminate the danger by creating Smart IV Bags in light of the rising number of risks in the medical sector brought on by the reverse flow of blood in an IV bag (intravenous bag). The Smart IV bags eliminate the need for constant physical monitoring of the IV bag's state while preventing reverse blood flow. For detection of the IV fluid state, a 0.5 ' diameter force-sensitive resistor is deployed. We integrate the system with a NodeMCU module and using Wi-Fi, it establishes communication between the smart IV bag and the person in charge at the hospital, like a nurse or a caretaker. In this study, the IV Bag is the 'thing' connected to the internet where the FSR readings are analyzed using NodeMCU script to determine if it needs to be emptied and send a WhatsApp message to the caretaker. This design establishes an IoT environment where the IV Bag automatically alerts the caretaker and eliminates the need for constant human intervention. 2023 IEEE. -
Wavelet packet transform based fusion of misaligned images
This paper proposes an image fusion method based on wavelet packet transform (WPT) for images with misaligned region of interest, which finds wide application in target recognition and feature extraction. The region of interest of the images are first aligned and then fused in the transform domain. The various no-reference parameters such as standard deviation (SD), spatial frequency (SF) are measured for the fused image. The result obtained from this method is compared with the other methods such as image fusion using discrete wavelet transform (DWT), stationary wavelet transform and guided filtering. It is evident from the simulation results that the two parameters are high for the fused image using wavelet packet transform. 2016 IEEE. -

Effects of reduced graphene oxide on nonlinear absorption and optical limiting properties of spin coated aluminium doped zinc oxide thin films
In this work, we investigate the nonlinear absorption and optical limiting properties of reduced graphene oxide (rGO) incorporated aluminum doped zinc oxide (AZO) composite thin films by open aperture z-scan technique using Q-switched Nd:YAG laser at 532 nm. The structural and spectral properties were also systemically analyzed. The composite thin films were synthesized by spin coating technique with online infrared curing facility. Studies on nonlinear optical responses of the investigated samples proved a substantial enhancement in the nonlinear absorption coefficient of AZO:rGO composites compared to AZO thin film. The nonlinear absorption is attributed to the two photon absorption with reverse saturable absorption. The strong nonlinear absorption and nonlinear scattering effects result in the optical limiting property of the composite material. The AZO:rGO thin film exhibits lower optical limiting threshold value (32 MW/cm2) as compared to AZO (59 MW/cm2). Hence it is an excellent optical limiter which explores applications in the field of optoelectronics as protecting material for sensitive photonic devices. 2021 -

Implementing Innovative Weed Detection Techniques for Environmental Sustainability
Agriculture, supporting over half of India's population, grapples with the challenge of weed control. Current methods applied in plantation crops lack efficiency and pose environmental and health risks. This paper advocates a paradigm shift, emphasizing the critical need for effective weed detection using cluttered unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) images. The research methodology integrates image processing, Mask R-Convolutional Neural Networks (R-CNN), and Internet of Things (IoT). A dataset of 200 UAV images was subjected to a thorough preprocessing. In the initial phase, weeds and crops were identified with precision employing an UAV-tailored Mask R-CNN with instance segmentation. This was found to surpass traditional methods in terms of communication between the model and the agricultural environment. For timely decision-making, real-time data were collected using IoT. Average Precision (AP) values reveal high accuracy, notably 89.1% for weeds, 88.9% for crops, and an overall precision of 89.4%. The Mask R-CNN network segments and classifies images, marking weed zones communicated to farmers via Raspberry Pi with a GSM module, enabling real-time alerts and informed decision-making for efficient weed control. This holistic approach, providing object classifications, detailed bounding boxes, and masks, addresses weed control challenges, highlighting the transformative potential of advanced technologies in agriculture. 2024, Institute for Environmental Nanotechnology.
