<text>In India, the prevalence of internet gaming disorders ranges from 8 to 9%. Adolescents are more likely to become addicted to online games. This study compares teenage gamers with and without Internet Gaming Disorder (IGD) in terms of game genre, psychosocial adjustment, and living conditions with a sample of 80 in each group. The results demonstrate that adolescents with this disorder had significantly higher scores for depression, anxiety, and psychosocial deterioration than adolescents without gaming disorder. Even though the prevalence of males is high, both genders do not significantly differ from one another in psychological adjustment. Another finding is that adolescents with gaming disorders play multiplayer online role-play games and Battle Royal games more frequently than average players. The prevalence of this disorder is also influenced by living conditions; teenagers who stay in hostels or pay guest rooms are more likely to develop a gaming addiction.
