- India, the third-largest carbon dioxide emitter in the world, aims to achieve zero emissions by 2070. India is committed to its Panchamrit and has launched various initiatives such as green bonds, carbon credits, carbon market, investing in green hydrogen, etc. However, given the present scenario with respect to the dependency on coal-based power generation and lack of green financing, the present article assesses the different solutions and their practicality in achieving carbon neutrality.
