<text>A green and facile electrocatalytic method for the oxidation of benzyl alcohol in an acidic aqueous medium was developed using an anionic micellar system. ?-cyclodextrin-polypyrrole-modified carbon fibre paper (?-CD-PPy/CFP) electrode was successfully used in the oxidation of benzyl alcohol with TEMPO as the mediator. The modified electrode was characterized by cyclic voltammetry (CV), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and Raman spectroscopy. The modified electrode exhibited a strong electrocatalytic activity towards TEMPO-mediated oxidation of benzyl alcohol.
