The COVID-19 pandemic has led to the proliferation of digital education and its replacement of traditional education in the educational system. The developments in artificial intelligence (AI) are indispensable in all sectors, including education. This chapter aims to throw light on the emerging need and technologies used for digital education and to examine the role of AI in education with examples from the perspectives of teaching, learning, and assessment in the new normal.
