Two technology adoption theories were combined to develop the conceptual map denoting antecedent factors. Using 464 responses, structural equation modeling analysis was used to test the hypotheses. Performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and perceived compatibility were salient antecedents of P2P lending adoption. Perceived compatibility moderates the relationship between performance expectancy, facilitating conditions, and buying intentions.
