Cubic spinel Co3O4 crystallites were observed by X-ray diffraction pattern (XRD) and Raman spectrum. The crystallite size decreases as the pH value increases. The absorption spectrum exhibited two broad bands which are in good agreement with the cobalt oxide band structure. The change in bandgap was observed with pH of the precursor solution in agreement with size effects.
