Jean Francois Lyotard proposed the idea of 'Delegitimation' of Grand Narratives in Modern Times (1). This concept of Delegitimation gives power to an individual to narrate her or his Self and gives complete control to have his power. The introspection of self in Robert Lowell's Sonnet is analysed critically in this postmodern sense.
