This study aims to give a comparative perspective between the European and Indian regime's protection of farmers' rights and plant varieties, as well as the effect of international protocols and conventions. The Protection of Plant Varieties and Farmers Rights Act of 2001 is examined in this study along with its key components. More significantly, the measures that benefit farmers are emphasised, along with the importance of the awards and recognitions that the Indian government has instituted.
