The present century is even termed as the digital era. Internet access is the most crucial element for the maximum utilization of digital technologies. Accordingly, the concept of digital rights evolved and identified the right to Internet access as the most essential digital right. However, several countries have not implemented this right as part of their human rights framework due to a lack of an international covenant or treaty. Besides, many countries violate the right to Internet access through many mechanisms, claiming national security grounds.
