Electrons exchange amongst the chemical species in an organism is a pivotal concomitant activity carried out by individual cells for basic cellular processes and continuously contribute towards the maintenance of bioenergetic networks plus physiological attributes like cell growth, phenotypic differences and nutritional adaptations. Humans exchange matter and energy via complex connections of metabolic pathways (redox reactions) amongst cells being a thermodynamically open system. Usually, these reactions are the real lifeline and driving forces of health and disease in the living entity. Many shreds of evidence support the secondary role of reactive species in the cellular process of control apoptosis and proliferation. Disrupted redox mechanisms are seen in malaises, like degenerative and metabolic disorders, cancerous cells. This review targets the importance of redox reactions in the body's normal functioning and the effects of its alterations in cells to obtain a better understanding. Understanding the redox dynamics in a pathological state can provide an opportunity for cure or diagnosis at the earlier stage and serve as an essential biomarker to predict in advance to give personalized therapy. Patients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) infection can suffer from a variety of neurological disorders; therefore, there is a demand to investigate specific treatments. As a part of this endeavor, academic databases related to clinical, neuropathological, and immunological biomarkers were examined for searching promising drugs to treat neurological disorders in the COVID-19 group. Also, the neuroprotective potential of herbs for patients with post-COVID-19 has been evaluated using PubMed, MEDLINE, Scopus, EMBASE, Google Scholar, EBSCO, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, WHO database, and ClinicalTrials.gov. The terms used for the Boolean search were Indian herbs and neuroprotective potential, post-COVID-19 symptoms, and so on. Based on our knowledge, nervous system immunity is an inherent characteristic of the nervous system because it is highly immunologically active. It was found that patients infected with COVID-19 often experience neurological symptoms such as muscle pain, headaches, confusion, dizziness, and loss of smell and taste. The most commonly used herbs for neurological disorders are Bacopa monnieri, Mucuna pruriens, Withania somnifera, Acorus calamus, Phyllanthus emblica, Blumea balsamifera, Asparagus racemosus, Cannabis sativa, Convolvulus prostratus, Swertia chirata, Vitex negundo, Nyctanthes arbor-tristis Linn, Centella asiatica, Curcuma longa, Ocimum tenuiflorum. It is widely recognized that herbal drugs have the potential for treating neurological diseases such as Parkinsons, Alzheimers, and cerebrovascular diseases in COVID-19 patients. However, clinical trials are still limited. The suitability of drugs depends on the investigation of biomarkers and pathobiological mechanisms. Thus, it is necessary to use modern scientific approaches and technologies to conduct comprehensive mechanistic studies to understand the therapeutic potential of herbs for neurological disorders associated with the SARS-CoV-2 infection. Differential Approach of Bioremediation by Sclerotium rolfsii Towards Textile Dye

Synthetic dyes are extensively used in various industries and are one of the major contaminants of industrial effluents. Dyes being xenobiotic, carcinogenic, and toxic there is need for their effective removal and detoxification to conserve water resources. Tremendous research has been carried out to identify potent microorganisms that facilitate bioremediation of these harmful dyes. A static batch culture has proved white rot fungi Sclerotium.rolfsii as an efficient catalyst in bioremediation of textile dyes and to compare their efficiency in decolourisation of two different azo dyes. Studies revealed the organism employ different remedial approach to cationic dye (Malachite green) and anionic dyes (Rose Bengal). Decolourisation of malachite green was a gradual with degradation and bio-transformation to colourless, non-toxic by products while Decolourisation of rose Bengal was quick process of biosorption. S.rolfsii exhibited 89% of decolourisation of malachite green dyes at higher concentration of 900mg/L while 96% for rose Bengal at 900mg/L. The mechanism of dye decolourisation was proposed using the UV Vis spectrophotometry, FTIR, XRD, HPLC and SEM. Microbial toxicity studies confirmed the dye metabolites of degraded malachite green was less toxic compared to original dye. Com- prehensively studies illustrate the sustained application of S. rolfsii as model organism for bioremediation of complex industrial effluents due to its differential bio remedial approach can potentially decolourise or remove various dyes. 2023, Association of Biotechnology and Pharmacy. The ability of plants to acclimatise and thrive in stressed environments can be attributed, in part, to the reserve of endophytic fungi that they harbour, that help enhance physiological and immunological defence and tolerance to various biotic and abiotic stressors. The present work has focussed on screening laccase producing endophytic fungi residing in different aquatic plants isolated from Hulimavu Lake, Bengaluru. This lake is well known for its water pollution contributed by anthropogenic factors. Survival of plants in this lake can hence be associated with their rich repertoire of endophytic fungi that enhance host plant defence towards stressors. Upon isolation and culturing of endophytic fungi, qualitative laccase detection using laccase specific growth media and quantitative laccase estimation using ABTS (2,2-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid)) substrate were performed. Differential production rates were observed for the laccase enzyme by different endophytic fungi; production rates also varied between fungi isolated from different parts like node, stem, root and leaf of the same plant species too. Phylogenetic analysis of fungal isolates with highest laccase production was performed and the species was found to be Cladosporium tenuissimum. Even the crude extract of this strain displayed laccase production of 42.16U/L, as revealed by ABTS assay. Hence this strain is a promising candidate for optimization studies for utilisation in the domain of bioremediation and industrial applications. The Author(s) 2023.

Hybrid cloud is proposed as a solution for ensuring security and privacy for data outsourced to cloud. Hybrid cloud uses a mix of both private and public cloud with distribution of sensitive information to private cloud and insensitive information to public cloud. Though data distributed over multi storage provides enhanced security and privacy, query performance is distorted. This work proposes a privacy preserving data distribution with goal of ensuring reduced query latency for data distributed over hybrid clouds without any compromise to the security and privacy. The SamardzijaGreller model is an extension of the classical LotkaVolterra predatorprey system, and this paper investigates the multiscale dynamics in a modified SamardzijaGreller model to take into account the slower timescales in predator reactions rather than prey. We present a comprehensive local stability analysis, pattern formation through diffusive instability and fractional Hopf bifurcations. The analysis of the spatio-temporal model reveals the effects of diffusion coefficients and parameter variations on the dynamical behavior of the slow-fast system. By analyzing the systems response to changes in the self-diffusion rate of the prey (dX), the intra-species competition rate of the first predator (d1) and the interaction parameter a, we observe chaotic patterns for small values of a, particularly when the prey exhibits strong diffusion. Increases in a lead to the emergence of regular, periodic patterns that are homogeneous in space. We discuss in detail how fractional-order models create memory effects that inhibit chaotic transitions, potentially being delayed or avoided in the temporal model. The study shows clear differences in the dynamical regimes between the integer-order and the fractional-order models. The latter model gives more significance to the stabilization effect of the fractional-order derivative on ecological systems and improves our understanding of predatorprey interactions under different parameter settings. Findings clarify the potential to derive ecological stability from emergent patterns and transition into a better understanding of complex ecological processes. This study examines the role of digital adoption and price discovery through informal IPO markets in India. Due to price anomalies, sentiments around the IPO listing day are channelised through Informal markets known as grey markets. This study verifies the determinants of grey market IPO prices and their linkages with the formal market IPO under-pricing. Apart from dominant market and firm-specific factors, it examines how digital adoption variables such as digital payment usage and new demat accounts affect the IPO prices in both channels. In the post-pandemic period, there is a surge in the number of IPOs offered and participation of institutions and individuals in IPOs. Grey market allows traders to bid on IPO applications before they are officially listed, helping to assess under-pricing in issue prices, if any. This study uses data of 1,155 IPOs that went public in India between 2016 and 2025. Using OLS models, the study examines the relationships among variables, and findings indicate that both grey market activity and digital adoption directly influence listing day pri ces, confirming that under-pricing is predictable through informal channels. Digital arrest is an emerging form of cyber deception wherein cybercriminals impersonate law enforcement or other authorities to falsely claim legal authority to arrest individuals through digital means, often via phone calls or online communication channels. As digital technology increasingly permeates daily life, such deceptive tactics pose serious threats to individuals' security and psychological well-being. This paper proposes a conceptual framework for understanding the phenomenon of digital arrest, differentiating it from other cybercrimes like phishing, vishing, and social engineering. The paper examines the psychological mechanisms underlying such scams, including the exploitation of fear, authority, and urgency, as well as the social implications of digital deception. Ultimately, the paper highlights the necessity for future research to empirically assess and evaluate the effectiveness of preventive measures and strategies aimed at reducing victimization. This conceptual paper aims to raise awareness of digital arrest as a distinct form of cyber threat and contribute to the growing body of literature on digital scams and their psychological consequences. Digital Content Marketing (DCM) is the strategic creation and distribution of relevant brand-related content on digital platforms, aiming to foster favorable brand engagement, trust, and relationships with current or potential customers. Despite its widespread use in practice, academic research on DCM is limited, creating a significant knowledge gap. This study addresses this gap by conducting an exploratory research synthesis of DCM literature from 2008 to 2024. The primary objective is to provide a comprehensive overview of pertinent studies and create a conceptual integration that elucidates DCM?s impact on marketing practices. Utilizing a targeted search on the Web of Science Database, 15 published papers were identified and analyzed based on specified search criteria. The findings contribute to a more holistic understanding of DCM?s role as a prevalent trend in contemporary marketing practices. 2026 Elsevier Inc. The chapter describes how artificial intelligence intersects with freedom of religion or belief through an analysis of policy deficiencies followed by proposed guidelines to address biases and discriminatory practices and cultural sensitivity problems. The implementation of a "human rights by design" method should become the standard practice by incorporating diverse data collection and bias assessment procedures and processes that explain artificial intelligence protocols and require collaboration between stakeholders. The chapter supports faith leader participation in AI development processes through a design method that also requires an adaptive governance system adapted to evolving religions and technologies. As society and technology advance to meet Industry 4.0 requirements, the educational system has also undergone many transformative changes in the past decade. Education is regarded as one of the most important tools for developing individuals, families, businesses, and the economy. New digital technologies are making a great revolution by transforming all aspects of education in teaching, learning, assessment, and feedback. The COVID-19 pandemic has led to the proliferation of digital education and its replacement of traditional education in the educational system. The developments in artificial intelligence (AI) are indispensable in all sectors, including education. AI-integrated learning helps management, teachers, students, parents, and other stakeholders gain insight into their performance to impact the process positively. This chapter aims to throw light on the emerging need and technologies used for digital education and to examine the role of AI in education with examples from the perspectives of teaching, learning, and assessment in the new normal. The application of AI in education and its effectiveness is explored through six publicly available datasets along with strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, challenges, and the future of digital education. This chapter introduces the various facets of digital educational neuropsychology. It begins by explaining digital educational neuropsychology and the current practices in digital neuropsychology. It then explains the opportunities and the challenges faced by neuropsychology in digitization of neuropsychology education, training, assessment, and rehabilitation and how it can be improved. The challenges in the implementation of digital educational neuropsychology in terms of access and equity; validity and reliability of digital assessments; training and professional development; variability in the perceptual, motor, and cognitive demands across different devices; and the rapid changes in technology are explained elaborately. A full discussion on opportunities including enhancement of digital education using neuropsychological techniques, neuroscience experimental techniques, in tandem with behavioural measures is provided. Digital entrepreneurship (DE) leverages internet services for business and financial gain. This study reviews past research, highlighting trends and gaps. Using the POWER framework and PRISMA techniques, 733 articles were analysed with VOSViewer and manual text analysis. Key findings include 2023 having the most publications, the UK leading in published articles, the journal Technological Forecasting for Social Change having the highest impact, and A. Ghezzi being the most influential author. Trending topics are entrepreneurs, digital entrepreneurship, and sustainability. Emerging themes include digital entrepreneurship ecosystems, opportunities for women and education, entrepreneurial funding, government adoption, and digital technologies. Future research should focus on entrepreneurial education, AI innovations, digital venture performance, and IoT adoption. Frameworks like lean start-up, business model innovation, and value creation can enhance DE performance, with further exploration encouraged by the identified future research agenda.
