<text>Purpose This article explores the role of immersive technologies and their influence on an individual's purchase behavior using cognition-affect-conation model. This article aims to investigate the role of virtual reality in the real estate sector to examine the effect on users' Investment Behavior unpinned by signaling theory. Design/methodology/approach The responses were recorded using a standardized instrument from 404 respondents. The responses were collected from the Delhi NCR region, where respondents recently visited the real estate offices and taken a virtual tour of their future dream house. Partial least squares-structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was applied to test the proposed hypotheses. Findings The findings of the study revealed a significant relationship between user immersiveness, virtual presence, user engagement, perceived realism and purchase intention. The moderating role of technological self-efficacy was also measured, and the relationship between perceived realism to purchase intention was significantly moderated. Surprisingly, there was no moderation of technological self-efficacy between user engagement and purchase intention. Practical implications The research article enables real estate companies to frame specific strategies and gain benefits from the information shared by the users. Real-time experience allows companies to understand the customers' needs and develop or customize their future houses accordingly. Originality/value Exploring the relationship between user immersiveness, virtual presence, user engagement, perceived realism, technological self-efficacy and purchase intention in the Indian real-estate sector is a relatively novel idea. Prior literature showed a dearth of research focused on technological self-efficacy's role through the signaling theory lens and underpinned through the CAC framework. These empirical findings help organizations to develop customized strategies. Emerald Publishing Limited</text>

<text>In this study, we investigate the electrochemical performance of Co3O4-GO nanocomposite, synthesized via a hydrothermal method, as a function of electrolyte concentration. XRD, Raman, SEM, TEM, XPS, and BET techniques have been employed to examine the structural, microstructural, chemical states, and specific surface area characteristics of the composite material. According to SEM micrographs, the aggregated particles have a sheet-like morphology, and these sheets have been assembled into clusters. Using N2-adsorption/desorption isotherms, the pore volume, diameter, and specific surface area of composite were determined to be 0.24 cm3/g, 15 nm, and 63 m2/g, respectively. Based on cyclic voltammograms (CVs) recorded at different scan rates and electrolyte concentrations, the working electrode demonstrated pseudocapacitance behavior. The specific capacitance (Cs) of the fabricated electrode was estimated from GCD curves recorded at different current densities and electrolyte concentrations. For 1 M KOH solution, Cs of the composite electrode is found to be 258 F/g at 1 A/g, and this value drops to 222 F/g at 5 A/g. Furthermore the composite electrode's Cs decreases with increasing electrolyte concentration at a specific current density. The study indicates that 1 M of KOH electrolyte is the optimal electrolyte concentration for optimal energy storage. 2024 Elsevier Ltd</text>

<text>The support activities that make up the retail value chain also play a role in defining the in-store experiences and their contentment of the customers. The underlying aim of this investigation is thus to explain the impact of core support functions, here firm infrastructure, human resource management, technology management as well as procurement practices in the customer satisfaction within formally-organised retail outlets. A total of 500 consumers visiting hypermarkets and department stores in Visakhapatnam were used to gather primary data through a structured questionnaire that used a five-point Likert scale. Empirical evidence shows that a few activities of the retail value-chain support have a tremendous impact on customer satisfaction, and such activities as technology-enabling services, efficient procurement practices and infrastructure-related service attributes are particularly significant. These findings support the argument that optimisations on the functional aspects in the value chain generate a measurable increase in consumer satisfaction and thereby serve to support the strategic relevance of support activities in the retail sector. This study enhances the existing body of literature on retail-management by integrating the value-chain perspective and consumer-behavioural analysis to provide relevant empirical support on the strategic contribution of support functions in creating shopper-satisfaction. 2026, PT Mattawang Mediatama Solution. <text>This study, conducted by a distinguished university, aims to contribute significantly to the professional development of educators dedicated to creating a fair, sustainable, and socially conscious world. The research focuses on a pedagogical approach using Service Learning to foster civic and social skills in higher education students. The main goal is to examine how graduate students, actively participating in Service-Learning initiatives, develop socio-educational commitment and self-efficacy compared to traditional university volunteering. The study, involving 1562 aspiring educators, employs a quantitative correlational methodology. The hypothesis suggests that Service-Learning leads to more positive outcomes in socio-educational commitment, pedagogical self-efficacy, and crafting instructional materials. The findings, statistically significant (p < 0.01), highlight the increased development of these metrics among participants in Service-Learning programs. 2024 IEEE.</text>

<text>The corrosion inhibition performance of carbon steel by Benzyltributylammonium tetrachloroferrate ([BTBA]+[FeCl4]?)was investigated in 1 N HCl solution and compared with theoretical results. The electrochemical impedance results showed that [BTBA]+[FeCl4]?ionic liquid act as an effective inhibitor for carbon steel corrosion in acidic medium and maximum inhibition efficiency was found to be 99.5% at 400 ppm. The SECM results also confirmed the adsorption of [BTBA]+[FeCl4]?on carbon steel and thereby forming a relatively insulated surface at the interface. The adsorption of ferrate ionic liquid on carbon steel was found to obey Langmuir adsorption isotherm. Ionic liquid effectively inhibits anodic and cathodic reaction site thereby showed its mixed type inhibition behaviour. In presence of the inhibitor higher resistance values were obtained for impedance and polarization studies. The presence of ionic liquid and its surface protection tendency at the metal/solution interface was confirmed by SEM surface studies. UVVis and ATR-FTIR characterization also contributed in corroborating the complex formation between Fe2+ and ionic liquid. Monte Carlo simulation and quantum chemical parameters substantiated the experimental findings and gave further insights about the inhibition mechanism. 2020 Elsevier B.V.</text>

<text>This book explores the urgent need for organizational transformation in the face of impending environmental crises, highlighting the intrinsic link between environmental well-being and economic progress. Advocating a shift away from profit-centric models, it champions organizations actively contributing to the ecological system by harnessing the synergy between organizational culture and human resource management (HRM). In a changing world demanding genuine environmental commitment, the book positions sustainability as a strategic imperative. Departing from traditional HRM, the book proposes an integrated approach embedding sustainability in every facet of employee engagement. Concepts like sustainable recruitment, purpose-driven performance, and engagement for change are explored. The book provides insights, tactics, and real-world examples for individuals and organizations to embrace environmental responsibilities through HRM and organizational culture, fostering a sustainable corporate ethos. 2024 by IGI Global. <text>The medical imaging industry is on the brink of becoming as tangible as the world around us, blurring the lines between the virtual and the real. From compact gadgets to fully tangible anatomical models, medicine and technology have always been intertwined, but never as closely as they are today. This section explores immersive technologies in medicine and healthcare, focusing on virtual, augmented, and mixed reality, with a particular emphasis on the groundbreaking applications of 3D technology in medicine. This integration has ushered in a new era of medical advancements, promising significant progress in diagnosis, treatment, patient care, and healthcare overall. The adoption of 3D techniques, such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), ultrasound, and more, enables doctors and clinicians to view anatomical structures as if they were real-life models. This enhances clarity, precision, and conciseness while reducing the risk of medical errors. The virtual world promised by 3D technology is also expected to improve communication skills between healthcare professionals and patients, especially for young medical students. 3D printing has seen significant development in recent years, playing a critical role in various applications, including medicine. This section will focus on three key advancements in 3D printing: its combination with the internet as a delivery vehicle, its integration with medical imaging, and its use in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. We will also delve into three-dimensional display technologies, such as monoscopic 3D displays, stereoscopic 3D displays, and autostereoscopic displays. Technology's impact is not solely measured by its failures; sometimes, the small successes can save lives that might otherwise be lost. This piece will illustrate how technology could revolutionize medicine and reveal the potential we have yet to fully realize due to fear. <text>Organizational changes in recent times have indicated a shift toward using innovative approaches to solve environmental concerns in both processes and products. This is in response to calls from stakeholders for a more comprehensive approach to business operations that puts profit, the environment, and people first-also known as the triple bottom line. In line with the resource-based view (RBV) framework, organizations can effectively address environmental challenges and meet social responsibilities. Embracing technologies such as AI, ML, and automation in their green practice operations unlocks new opportunities, new markets, and partnerships. This shift strengthens their reputations and goodwill among stakeholders. Although there is extant literature on green initiatives and organizational success, there is a dearth of thorough research that examines green management innovations and technological techniques in their entirety. This study attempts to close this gap by defining several aspects of green management and examining how green initiatives and technology affect future growth coupled with organizational performance and success. This study employs bibliometric analysis to conduct a systematic literature evaluation, focusing on a dataset (n = 1026) spanning the years 2005 to 2024. The results reveal (i) the two dominant clusters are, first, sustainability, sustainable development, innovations, digital technologies, and supply chain management, and, second, sustainability, performance assessment, and industrial performance, while a third cluster-sustainability, industrial performance, and innovation-reveals a growing interest among the research community; (ii) productivity and the impact of publications, authors, and countries prominently crusading on the theme; and (iii) thematic clusters that open the scope for further research. 2026 Shivakami Rajan, L.R. <text>Through the course of the last few decades researchers have observed that Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) can act as a breeding ground for transformative positive changes to develop in the face of adversity. This process of enhanced growth is systematically studied as Post Traumatic Growth (PTG). Though there is an existing association between ACE and PTG, yet there is a paucity of studies that explores the mediating variables in this relationship. The current study aims to explore the role of self-compassion (SC) and psychological flexibility (PF) between ACE and PTG among Indian young adults. The study was conducted on 298 Indian participants who were in the age bracket of 1825years. The study variables were assessed using self-administered rating scales. Participants were screened for ACE using Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) Questionnaire. Additionally, Self-Compassion Scale (SCS-SF), Acceptance and Action Questionnaire-II (AAQ-II), Posttraumatic Growth Inventory- Short Form were other tools used. The results have indicated that both Psychological Flexibility and Self-Compassion mediate the relationship of ACE with PTG. The current findings have emphasized on the role of Psychological Flexibility and Self-Compassion in moving towards Post Traumatic Growth. These findings reassert that Psychological Flexibility and Self-Compassion are foundational to Acceptance Commitment Therapy and highly useful especially while working with trauma affected populations. <text>Purpose: This study investigates the influence of work-to-family and family-to-work conflict on turnover intention (career break), mediated through job and life satisfaction among Indian women in the service sector, using role conflict theory as the base. Design/methodology/approach: A total of 421 usable responses from women who had taken a career break were collected using a 36-item scale from six major metro cities in India through social and digital media platforms. A purposive-cum-snowballing sampling method was adopted. The hypotheses were tested using structural equation modeling (SEM) through AMOS. Findings: Findings suggest that job satisfaction (JS) is a significant predictor of turnover intention, both when work spills into the family domain, and family responsibilities spill into the work domain, thereby confirming the mediating influence of JS. Interestingly, life satisfaction (LS) only seems to mediate between inter-domain conflict and turnover intention partially. Research limitations/implications: This is a descriptive study, and is thereby limited in terms of its generalizability, specifically as it included respondents only from six major metro cities in India. Practical implications: The extended work-family conflict model could help managers structure organizational interventions that support women to deal with the challenges of managing the demands of both work and family domains, thereby reducing the negative influence on JS. Such initiatives could help reduce career breaks among women. Originality/value: We explored the cause of career breaks among Indian urban women employed in the service sector, using the extended model of inter-role conflict and their attitudes towards both life and job. 2024, Emerald Publishing Limited.</text>

<text>Purpose: This paper explores the motivating factors that lead to opportunity recognition among social entrepreneurs in India. Design/methodology/approach: The study followed an exploratory, qualitative design based on thematic analysis of the interview data collected from 13 Indian social entrepreneurs. Findings: The study identifies two aggregate factors that motivate social entrepreneurs: personal and contextual. Personal factors include life experiences, social awareness, social inclination since childhood, spiritual motives, the need for a meaningful career and entrepreneurial intention. Contextual factors included institutional voids, community development, the presence of a role model and volunteer experiences. Research limitations/implications: This study contributes to the social entrepreneurship literature by providing a model for motivating factors that lead to opportunity recognition. This study enables policymakers and social entrepreneurship educators to identify aspiring social entrepreneurs and provide target-specific support to them. Practical implications: This study enables policymakers and social entrepreneurship educators to identify aspiring social entrepreneurs and provide target-specific support to them. Originality/value: The study uniquely contributes to the social entrepreneurship field by offering deep qualitative insights into the motivational and opportunity recognition patterns of social entrepreneurship. 2024, Parvathy Viswanath and A. <text>Purpose This paper explores the motivating factors that lead to opportunity recognition among social entrepreneurs in India. Design/methodology/approach The study followed an exploratory, qualitative design based on thematic analysis of the interview data collected from 13 Indian social entrepreneurs. Findings The study identifies two aggregate factors that motivate social entrepreneurs: personal and contextual. Personal factors include life experiences, social awareness, social inclination since childhood, spiritual motives, the need for a meaningful career and entrepreneurial intention. Contextual factors included institutional voids, community development, the presence of a role model and volunteer experiences. Research limitations/implications This study contributes to the social entrepreneurship literature by providing a model for motivating factors that lead to opportunity recognition. This study enables policymakers and social entrepreneurship educators to identify aspiring social entrepreneurs and provide target-specific support to them. Practical implications This study enables policymakers and social entrepreneurship educators to identify aspiring social entrepreneurs and provide target-specific support to them. Originality/value The study uniquely contributes to the social entrepreneurship field by offering deep qualitative insights into the motivational and opportunity recognition patterns of social entrepreneurship. 2024 Parvathy Viswanath and A. <text>Plant-based medication, is an established practice in Indian medicine, initially newlineinvolvedin the direct use of raw plant parts for treating various health conditions. Later, valuable components are identified, isolated, and utilized to treat diseases. The newlineStrobilanthes Blume genus has a rich therapeutic history around the globe, especially in countries such as India, China, Myanmar, and Thailand. Strobilanthes jomyi, a recently identified species found in Kerala, India is still in wide use by tribal communities in the Kasaragod district for wound healing. This study aimed to evaluate the microscopic, macroscopic, organoleptic, fluorescent, physicochemical, mineral composition, phytochemical, Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry, antioxidant, anthelmintic, insecticidal, antimicrobial, and cytotoxicity activities of S. jomyi leaves, stem, and root. The different vegetative parts were subjected to Soxhlet extraction using methanol as a newlinesolvent and analysed using standard Protocols. Macroscopic andmicroscopic examinations revealed non-glandular trichomes and paracytic stomata in the leaves, raphides in the stem and petiole, and tannin cells in the root. Cystoliths were observed only in the petiole. Powder analysis exhibited the presence of fibres, trichomes, palisade cells, spiral xylem vessels, bordered pit vessels, and raphides. The leaves contained higher phenolics, flavonoids, carbohydrate, protein, proline, and chlorophyll content compared to the root and stem. The methanolic extract of leaves showed higher antioxidant activities than the root and stem. GC-MS analysis identified bioactive compounds such as 2,4-di-tert-butyl phenol, phytol, squalene, phenol, neophytadiene, and lupeol in the root, stem, and leaves. All vegetative partsof S. jomyi exhibited excellent anthelmintic activity, with the highest newlineobserved in the leaves, followed by the root and stem. Insecticidal activity was only newlineobserved in the leaf extract. Anti-microbial and anti-cancerous activities were remarkable newlineacross all vegetative parts.</text>

<text>Climate change is a critical global challenge that significantly impacts the redistribution of malaria endemicity worldwide. While efforts have been made to model malaria transmission using climatic factors, relying solely on these factors can lead to discrepancies and ineffective decision-making. To address this, we used the VECTRI modela dynamic framework developed by the International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) that integrates both climatic and entomological factorsto map malaria risk for India and project its potential future under the SSP370 warming scenario. Our findings indicate that the length of malaria transmission is expected to increase across India by the end of this century. The shift of malaria endemicity to further north and also into highland areas could increase the at-risk population due to lower immunity in these regions. Therefore, integrated climate and entomological modeling is essential for effectively anticipating malaria transmission risks and enhancing public health responses. 2025</text>
