In medicine, they enhance surgical precision, medical training, rehabilitation, and remote consultations by providing immersive and real-time data-driven environments. Education benefits from interactive and skill-based learning, making complex subjects more engaging and accessible. In social robotics, AR/VR improves human-robot interactions, emotional intelligence in AI assistants, and robotic telepresence. Mental health applications include VR-based exposure therapy, stress management, and PTSD treatment through controlled, immersive simulations. Industrial training leverages VR for hazardous work simulations and AR for real-time assistance, increasing workplace safety and efficiency. This study proposes a hybrid machine learning framework to predict supply chain resilience by integrating principal component analysis, K-Means clustering, and ensemble learning models. The approach captures firm-level heterogeneity, enabling context-specific resilience prediction and interpretability using SHAP values. The findings demonstrate that ensemble models, particularly XGBoost, outperform traditional regression models, and reveal distinct resilience drivers across operational clusters. Edge computing combined with real-Time analytics is rapidly transforming the way the IT companies can use big data to make smarter and quicker decisions. Centralized model of clouds traditional clouds are being put under stress owing to an explosive increase in data volume, latency sensitive applications as well as bandwidth limitations. Edge computing also makes computation much closer to data sources and allows real-Time analytics that can mitigate latency by orders of magnitude, increase data security and achieve instant insights at a scale. This paradigm shift gives power to IT firms to maximize operations, individualize services and allow agile reactions in a dynamic scenario like smart infrastructure, IoT implementations, and AI-based systems. Edge computing can also be used to offload processing to the edge thus reducing traffic in the core network as well as enabling distributed intelligence. Moreover, edge systems, coupled with AI models, make IT infrastructures perform predictive analytics at the source and become less dependent on backhaul links. In the present investigation, TiO2NPs were myco-synthesized through the extracellular enzymes of endophytic fungi, Aspergillus versicolor FCPRS11 isolated from stem of Azadirachta indica. The synthesized TiO2NPs was characterized using UV- Vis, FT-IR, SEM, XRD, EDX, DLS and Zeta Potential. The synthesized TiO2NPs were analyzed for their antimicrobicidal properties against five clinical pathogens with two fungal pathogens and were exhibiting significant inhibition towards the bacteria at minimum concentration of 50g/ml of TiO2NPs. The free radical scavenging mechanism of the synthesized TiO2NPs was monitored through various assessment to understand about NPs antioxidant properties and the IC50 values were compared with the IC50 value of standard ascorbic acid (91g/ml). Further the NPs were analyzed for in vitro anti- inflammatory property exhibiting 73.87% inhibition and anti- diabetic properties (62.18% inhibition) proving that TiO2NPs evinced a promising biomedical activity. The larger surface area of the synthesized TiO2NPs as per the SEM analysis, allowed evaluation of their adsorption capacity on soil collected from metallurgical site containing combination of heavy metals and contaminants. The results of adsorption studies demonstrated that the adsorption increases with increase in time of exposure of TiO2NPs and adsorption capacity was determined by employing Langmuir model. The % dye degradation was evaluated by photocatalytic dye degradation studies where at 100mg/L of TiO2NPs, over 91% dye was found to be degraded within 240mins.These findings highlight the potential of myco-synthesized TiO?NPs as effective agents for biomedical applications and environmental nanoremediation. The advancement of heat transportation is a significant phenomenon in nuclear reactors, solar collectors, heat exchangers, and electronic coolers; and it can be accomplished by choosing ananofluid as the functional fluid. Nanofluids haveimproved thermophysical properties, dueto theirgreat progress in engineering and industrial applications. Therefore here, the significance of exponential space-related heat source (ESHS) on radiative heat motivated Sakiadis two-phase flow over a moving plate is analyzed for a particulate nanoliquid (CuOH2O). The impact of the haphazard motion of nanoparticles is analyzed through the KooKleinstreuerLi model. On applying a similarity transformation to the governing equations, a set of ordinary differential equations is obtained and numerically solved. Through the perception of graphs, the behavior of the velocity and temperature constraints for diverse values of effective parameters is decoded. The results showthat the temperature of both phases (dust and fluid) improves with the ESHS aspect. Solar power changes according to irradiance and temperature in a day. A Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithm is actually necessary to obtain the maximum power from the photovoltaic (PV) arrangement. In this paper, in order to optimize power and improve the efficiency of PV module with regulated output voltage, soft computing MPPT techniques, flying squirrel search optimization and artificial bee colony methods are implemented on cascaded double voltage lift boost converter. The PV module is subjected to both with and without constraints to analyze the performance of the DC/DC converter, and the comparative outcomes are evaluated for resistive and different types of battery loads at various temperature conditions in MATLAB/Simulink platform. The optimized power is achieved by using artificial bee colony technique with less ripple in the output waveforms at constant 25 C temperature irrespective of the changes in irradiation with the battery load and this can be used for charging of the battery system. 2023 Praise Worthy Prize S.r.l.-All rights reserved.

In several power conversion applications, dc-dc boost converters with voltage boost techniques are extensively used in order to meet the growing power demand. The main drawback of conventional dc-dc boost converter is obtaining high DC voltages, when operated at high duty ratio which causes switching losses and decreases overall efficiency because of the switch being used to be in 'ON' state for long time and voltage stresses across switch increases. The main objective of proposed converter is to obtain high voltage without extreme duty ratio. When input voltage of 15V DC is given, 201.1V DC output voltage is attained at duty ratio of 0.4 by the cascaded double voltage lift boost converter. To validate the performance of proposed converter, simulation is carried out in LTspice XVII and a comparative assessment of proposed converter with other converters at different duty ratio are realized. 2020 IEEE.

Background: Urbanization and industrialization are mainly responsible for the conversion of large tract of agricultural lands and other vegetation-rich lands to non-agricultural purposes. Land and its utilization across various activities must be analysed to frame suitable policies for optimum land use. In Karnataka, the share of the net sown and non-agricultural areas increased. However, the share of permanent pasture and other grazing lands, barren and unculturable land, current and other fallow lands, culturable wasteland and land under miscellaneous tree crops and groves decreased compared to their share in 2000-01. The goal is to explore the direction of land use change between these land use categories in the context of urbanization. Methods: We utilized the district-level data sourced from reports of the Directorate of Economics and Statistics of the Government of Karnataka, enabling us to conduct a robust panel data regression using fixed effects model that empirically establishes the relationships between different land use categories, particularly non-agricultural land, barren land and arable land, from 2000-01 to 2020-21. We recorded the land use changes in the major land use classes at the district level by comparing the temporal dynamics for 2000-01 to 2020-21 and also studied the dynamics of each categorys land use outcomes and the changes in urbanization status at the district level. Result: This study provides a detailed insight into the trends and direction of land use changes in Karnataka from the perspective of urbanization, which has been getting a significant focus in the countrys development. The studys findings have significant policy implications, as they underscore how rapid population growth and the expansion of non-agricultural areas at the district level negatively impact arable and barren land. A growing strand of literature has highlighted a positive association between diversification towards high-value crops and poverty reduction in developing countries, largely drawing on household-level data. However, many socio-economic and biophysical factors operate at the meso (district) level, and their role in diversification towards high-value crops is not well understood. Against this backdrop, the present paper examines the case of the Indian state of Karnataka by drawing upon the panel data from 2001 to 2021 to study the determinants of diversification towards horticulture crops and their sub-sector at the district level. The results of a fixed-effects panel regression model show that increasing the share of horticulture does not necessarily promote diversification. The finding further revealed that factors driving the increasing share of horticulture crops vary in importance across different sub-sectors. Government and donor agencies would do well to note that a one-size-fit-all approach does not work form promoting diversification. It is imperative to develop tailored strategies that address the specific needs and conditions of diverse regions to effectively promote sustainable land-use practices. The studys findings reveals that demand-side factors like gross GDP (gross domestic product) per capita of the district and the degree of urbanization affect horticulture diversification positively. Furthermore, the study provides crucial insights into the impact of increasing population pressure, which is largely associated with rapid expansion of nonagricultural land. This trend negatively affects the availability of land allocated to horticulture and its sub-categories at the district level. The Author(s). Rainwater harvesting stands out as a promising solution to alleviate water scarcity and alleviate pressure on conventional water reservoirs. This work introduces a pioneering strategy to elevate the efficiency of rainwater harvesting systems through the fusion of Multi-Dimensional Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks and the Clonal Selection Algorithm (CSA). The Multi-Dimensional LSTM networks serve to model intricate temporal and spatial rainfall patterns, enabling precise predictions regarding the optimal times and locations for rainwater abundance. This insight is pivotal in refining the design and operation of rainwater harvesting setups. Drawing inspiration from the immune system, the Clonal Selection Algorithm is employed to optimize site selection and resource allocation, ensuring the maximal utilization of harvested rainwater. The adaptability and robustness of CSA prove invaluable in tackling the dynamic nature of rainfall patterns. This research endeavor is dedicated to enhancing groundwater levels and optimizing its sources through the implementation of efficient harvesting techniques. By delving into innovative methodologies, it aims to contribute significantly to sustainable water management practices and ensure a reliable supply of groundwater for various societal needs. The experiments are conducted to study the effectiveness of rainwater harvesting systems, where the proposed method achieves increased efficiency, thereby reducing dependence on conventional water sources and contributing to sustainable water management practices. The proposed CSA-LSTM model demonstrates superior performance compared to ACO-ANN and PSO-BPNN, achieving higher training, testing, and validation accuracies while exhibiting lower training, testing, and validation losses. Role of AI in the inventory management of agri-fresh produce at HOPCOMS

Inventory management is vital for maintaining the efficiency of supply chain management. Fruits and vegetables being perishable in nature should involve inventory management to avoid wastage and loss in terms of over stocking and stock out situations. The present study focuses on the role of artificial intelligence (AI)-powered inventory management of fruits and vegetables at HOPCOMS, a cooperative society founded in Bangalore. In the road to satisfy the customers, it is necessary for the society to come up with different strategies to manage the inventories in which a retailer confronts overstock and stock out situation, affecting the profit of the society. Therefore, a study was conducted with the help of structured questionnaire among 122 retailers of HOPCOMS outlets in Bangalore. The results obtained from the study suggest that inventory valuation method positively influences AI-powered demand forecasting and customer order fulfillment, and AI-powered demand forecasting is positively related to customer order fulfillment. 2023, IGI Global. Increase in demand for Fruit and Vegetables has augmented over the years. Being perishable they are restricted to a limited life span. The time dependency on perishable commodities acts as a barrier to retain the freshness and quality in fruits and vegetables for a longer period. Therefore, Inventory management is vital to manage perishable commodities as it brings in transparency to the actual demand from the customers. The retailer being the key element in the supply chain to come in contact with the customer should follow up with techniques to manage overstocking and stock out situation. The present study focuses on bringing in inventory management in HOPCOMS, a cooperative society in Karnataka. In the road to satisfy the customers, it is necessary for the society to come up with different strategies to manage the inventories. Different inventory evaluation methods are studied in relation to perishable commodities and the factors affecting the same. FIFO (first in first out) an inventory evaluation method was found to be more efficient and must be considered practically by the retailers to manage inventories during the sales. However, with efficient infrastructural facilities, interference of state government to bring in cold storage facilities and, creating awareness regarding the actual demand for a commodity in the market, the retailer would be able to balance overstocking and stock out situation in the future. 2019, Institute of Advanced Scientific Research, Inc. Transforming future startups through servant leadership and social entrepreneurship profitability

This book chapter delves into the influence of servant leadership on the profitability of social entrepreneurship, a phenomenon widely recognized by thriving startups worldwide. It generates hypothesis about the effect of seven facets of servant leadership viz., empowerment, conceptualization, followers influence, emotional convalescence, follower's growth and succession, value-creation for the community, and ethical behavior on social entrepreneurship profitability. The data was received through e-mail survey from 158 entrepreneurs located in Bengaluru. Hypothesis testing was done using multi-regression analysis technique. Results of the study specify that the seven dimensions of servant leadership except conceptualization have significant impact on the social entrepreneurship profitability. Further, the study continues with discussion of the inferences for practice by the social entrepreneurship, suggestions for future studies, and the continuous advancement of leadership tactics as well as styles that support upcoming social entrepreneurship ventures. 2024, IGI Global. Blockchain technology has emerged as promising solution in various sectors, including higher education. This research investigates the impact of usage of blockchain technology in student credential verification within university academic management system. This study employs a descriptive research through quantitative analysis of data collected from universities that have integrated or planning to integrate blockchain technology into their academic management systems. Key parameters examined include awareness and familiarity with blockchain, extent of blockchain usage, user experience and satisfaction, the perceived impact and benefits. The findings suggest that blockchain technology positively influences academic credential verification process, streamlining data sharing and reducing administrative burdens. As blockchain continues to transform the academic management landscape, this study offers timely guidance for stakeholders navigating the intersection of technology and education. 2024, IGI Global.
