Emerging adulthood is a stage of brain development during which people learn about intimacy and mutual trust, deepen existing friendships, engage in family-focused socialization, and develop the social skills that are fundamental to human existence. Parenting style and identity formation are considered to be crucial factors at this stage. This study was conducted to explore the impact of parenting style on identity formation among emerging adulthood. Three hundred and nine college students from different colleges in Tiruvannamalai city were selected through stratified random sampling and the data was administered by using Parental Authority Questionnaire by Buri, 1991, and Aspects of Identity Questionnaire by Briggs and Cheek, 2013. Results revealed that the authoritative parenting style dimension of parenting style was positively associated with dimensions of identity formation such as personal identity, relational identity, social identity and collective identity. The study explores the link between organisational commitment (OCO) and psychological contract (PCO) among airline cabin crews. The study also investigates the moderation effect of the type of organisation and work experience in the relationship between PCO and OCO. A theoretical model with hypothesised relationship is developed and tested empirically using structural equation modelling with the data generated by means of a questionnaire survey conducted among the airline cabin crew. The study finds that: 1) There is a direct connection between PCO and OCO in the case of both employee PCO and employer PCO; 2) type of the organisation moderates the relation between: a) employers PCO and employees PCO; b) employers PCO and OCO. We also found that the relationship between the PCO and OCO is moderated by the organisation type in the case of cabin crew working for private airlines but not for government-owned airlines. Since a favourable PCO is favourably correlated with OCO, the studys findings would assist airline operators in identifying the critical PCO dimensions that influence their OCO and helping them implement appropriate steps to increase their commitment to their staff. Wildlife resorts are one of the most prominent and attractive segments of the accommodation sector. They face many socio-economic and environmental challenges to implement sustainable tourism practices in their daily operations. This study aims at investigating whether there is any relationship between socio-economic and environmental issues, and challenges faced by wildlife resorts in implementing sustainable tourism practices, and the indicators used by the resorts to measure their sustainable tourism practices. The study employs triangulation design to conduct the research. Survey method was employed for identifying the sustainable tourism indicators and personal interviews with resort managers were conducted to identify the operational issues and challenges of wildlife resorts for the implementation of sustainable practices. Based on purposive sampling, sixteen wildlife resorts from the Indian state of Karnataka are selected for the study. Dedoose software is used to conduct mixed method analysis, to compare and analyse the data obtained from both qualitative and quantitative methods. Copyright 2022, IGI Global.

We analyse the impact of tea industry specific macroeconomic factors on tea companies share prices listed in Bombay Stock Exchange, India using quantile regression approach. We consider monthly period from January 2003 to December 2017. We find evidence to support the relationship between tea industry and tea companies share prices. Our results reveal that the change in area of cultivation has both negative and positive impact on the share prices of tea companies. This study indicates that production of tea has a significant and only positive influence. Further, we observe a minimal impact of tea import only on three companies share prices. This paper also notes that tea companies share prices react most significantly to tea export. 2024 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

Dating is hushed within the Indian society and this silences the trauma Indian women face in their pre-marital romantic relationships. This study delves into the nature and cyclic patterns that influence an abusive dating relationship. Are abusive behaviours passed down generations and learned in early childhood? What is characterised as an abusive relationship? This article discusses the experience of 11 Indian women in the age range of 20- 25 years who were subjected to abuse within their dating relationship. Poor neonatal outcomes, including low birth weight (LBW), poor APGAR scores, more NICU hospitalizations, and a higher chance to develop Pre-Eclampsia, IUGR, and Oligo Hydramnios, are all linked to thin placental thickness. While both thin and thick placentae are connected to a greater prevalence of C-sections, thick placentae are linked with a greater possibility of developing GDM and an increase in NICU hospitalizations. Objective of this research was to investigate the association between placental thickness as measured by ultrasonography in the third trimester and foetal outcome, including the relationship between placental histopathology and placental thickness. investigate the link among placental thickness, foetal outcome, and placental histology. Most newborns had fibrinoid necrosis and calcifications. Babies with Macrosomia and IUGR, respectively, were more likely to develop Syncytial knots and thickening of the vessel wall. Patients with normal placenta thickness at 36 weeks' gestation experienced fewer difficulties than those with thin or thick placentas at the same time. The study emphasizes the value of evaluating placental thickness using ultrasound in the third trimester to detect high-risk pregnancies. The study also shows that aberrant foetal and neonatal events are linked to certain placental histological characteristics, like artery wall thickening and infarctions. RJPT All right reserved.

Relative Efficiencies of Farmer Producer Companies in India- Slack-Based Model Approach

The concept of the farmer producer company (FPC) model has received a large momentum especially during the 20202021 farmers' protest in India. This paper examines the relative efficiencies of 46 FPCs in Kerala using non-radial data envelopment analysis (DEA) for the financial year 2018-19. We use a non-oriented slack-based model (SBM) under assumptions of constant and variable returns to scale. The results reveal that 36.96 per cent of the sample FPCs are overall technical efficient and 50 per cent of the FPCs are pure technical efficient. It is found that technical inefficiency is reported for a few FPCs due to scale inefficiency. Among the input and output targets suggested for inefficient FPCs, reduction in the 'number of shareholders' and augmentation of 'profits' reported in most cases to improve their efficiency scores. Based on the findings, we suggest the concerned stakeholders to provide additional financial and non-financial supports to the needy rather than focusing on establishing new FPCs. 2022 IEEE.

This research investigates the numerical study of heat transfer between a fluid phase and the solid surface of a rectangular and convex parabolic fin, considering radiation and natural convection. This work helps to understand the design of advanced thermal devices employing fin systems under LTNE conditions. A mathematical model consisting of equations of solid and fluid phases is assumed to be distinct and coupled through local convective heat transfer. The governing equations of the mathematical model are non-linear ordinary differential equations reduced to dimensionless forms by applying suitable non-dimensional variables. The resultant set of equations, along with the boundary conditions are resolved using Runge-Kutta Fehlberg (RKF 45) method, and the obtained solution is validated with pre-existing results. The primacy of crucial aspects of the temperature profile and average Nusselt number is demonstrated through graphs. From the graphs, it is found that both solid and fluid phase temperature is more in the rectangular profile when compared to the convex parabolic profile. Further, the rate of heat transfer is analysed for both the profiles using response surface methodology (RSM). The response surface methodology is performed on derived rate of heat transfer as a response function for input factors for different parameters. Additionally, the accuracy of the model for rectangular and convex parabolic fin are found to be 97.47% and 96.36%, respectively. 2026 The Authors.

Relevance for demographic factor: Level of financial literacy
Description

The study assesses the level of Financial Literacy of residents of Puducherry and investigates the impact of demographic characteristics on their Financial Literacy. A total of 637 residents residing in seven different blocks of Puducherry constituted the sample of the study. Multinomial regression model was used to see the impact of demographic variables on the levels of Financial Literacy. The results indicated that the level of Financial Literacy was affected by factors including gender, marital status, work status, level of education and number of financial dependents in a family. These statistically significant results suggested that male respondents who are married and have 3 financial dependents having self employment or salaried job living in rural areas tend to have high level of financial literacy. 2018 SCMS Group of Educational Institutions. The target sample will be women. After the research is being done it has been found that market is ready for an all women social networking websites. The current study aims to extend an understanding of the backcasting practices and strategic approaches that can be used by leadership teams in different industries in order to survive in turbulent times and can be adapted within and beyond any pandemic. Methodology: The research employs a desktop research method to review and compare the most commonly used strategies that leaders from different sectors can use for their respective organisations to thrive in the VUCA world. The popularity of such inspirational writings (both fictional and non-fictional) in the new age has given rise to a new literature style. Coelho's fiction, though inspirational, describes journeys that are physical and psychological at the same time. Symbols guide him in his journeys, forming a significant part of the novels. While these novels are said to appear inspirational for depressed souls with a profound philosophical and spiritual dilemma, the study of symbols found in these novels appears significant. This research aims to read closely the novel The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho and evaluate the symbols in it. Cement production will face severe resource constraints in the future, as they rely on natural resources. Therefore, the industry focuses on raising natural resource requirements at both the development and operational levels. One of the situations left unattended in cement production is modelling reliability on a clinker production device with a defect in its three main components. Bridging this gap, this paper provides a reliability model on the manufacturing method of clinkers. The manufacturing of clinkers is the first step in the cement production process. The clinker manufacturing process comprises three main components: crusher, roller mill, and rotary kiln. Three reliability models are developed in this paper, with failures in its three important components considering three situations. All three components are operative, the first two components are operative, and only the first component is operative. This research article estimates the reliability of s-out-of-k multicomponent systems subjected to common stress, where the strength components are non-identical and independently distributed. In practical scenarios, it is often unrealistic to assume that all strength components of a system are identical. To address this problem, we estimate the reliability of multicomponent stress strength (MSS) systems under the assumption of non-identical strength components and a common stress component, following independent generalized inverted exponential distributions. The estimation of MSS reliability is performed using both classical and Bayesian approaches. In the classical framework, the maximum likelihood estimation method is employed for point estimation, while asymptotic confidence intervals are constructed for interval estimation. In the Bayesian framework, point and interval estimates are obtained using TierneyKadanes approximation and Markov chain Monte Carlo techniques under an asymmetric loss function, as the Bayes estimator does not have a closed-form expression. A comprehensive numerical simulation study is conducted to compare the performance of the various estimators developed. Finally, the proposed methodologies are illustrated using a real-life dataset, showcasing their practical applicability and effectiveness. From the numerical studies, it is found that the MSEs for the classical and Bayes estimates are less than 0.010, and the coverage probabilities of the interval estimates attain their nominal level of significance, i.e. 95% in most of the cases. This paper mainly interested in studying the wider range behavior of the Marshall-Olkin extended inverted Kumaraswamy distribution. The parameters of model are estimated by various estimation methods. A reliability sampling plan is proposed which can save the test time in practical situations. Some tables are also provided for the new sampling plans so that this method can be used conveniently by practitioners. An account of the resource
India is facing radical change in perspective of inadequate water resources which can reduce by using treated water. In this direction, sewage treatment plants play a key role. Sewage treatment plant comprises three units namely physical processing, chemical processing and biological process. The physical process is the most important part and it has five component arranged in series configuration. It becomes necessary to perform this process with high efficiency and reliability, availability, maintainability, and dependability (RAMD) is the methodology to analyze the performance. The failure and repair rates of the subsystems has been considered exponentially distributed. ChapmanKolmogorov differential equations are derived using Markovian birthdeath process and several measures like mean time between failures, mean time to repair and dependability ratio are derived. The sensitivity analysis of reliability of the plant has also been performed. RAMD investigation shows that: availability of system is 0.952177, reliability of the system after 20days is 0.2018 and after 60days 0.00823, maintainability of the plant is 0.999948, dependability ratio is 0.9541 and raw sewage sump is the most sensitive subsystem of the plant with reliability 0.382893. This work is projected to support as an informative exertion in steering a RAMD analysis of physical processing unit and vary few work is available in literature related to the performance features of physical processing units of the sewage treatment plants.
