<text>The global wellness industry is seeing a major shift in its relevance and growth post COVID-19. The fast-growing wellness industry is driven by organizations of all sizes and scope: large, medium, small and micro enterprises offering a range of services from holistic wellness offerings to focused services, such as beauty, spa, alternative therapy, gym and physical fitness. While we have heterogeneous businesses on the supply side, we have the entire global population on the demand side. Due to the size of the market and growth potential, the competition in wellness service space is intense. In such a situation, it is a challenge to register growth and sustain the same. The challenge is more pronounced for micro-entrepreneurs due to their limited resources and reach. It calls for a strategic approach to managing the businesses to endure the competition and succeed. Hence, wellness businesses are adopting Strategic Management Practices (SMPs) in greater numbers. However, not all strategies work. The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of significant SMPs adopted by micro-entrepreneurs on business sustainability in the wellness industry. Responses of 392 microentrepreneurs from the wellness industry are recorded and analyzed for the SMPs adopted by them for the economic, environmental and social sustainability of their businesses. The study identified various strategic approaches that are implemented by micro-entrepreneurs in Mysore District and studied the impact SMPs had on sustainability factors of the wellness industry. A model is proposed to support the study. The results conclude that the application of a good amount of SMPs in the form of strategic entrepreneurship enhances the sustainability of a venture as well as the industry, aiding transformation from an unorganized to an organized sector and better regulations. 2024 by World Scientific Publishing Co. <text>India and Southeast Asia share an elusive sphere of influence, yet face formidable challenges in realising ambitious goals set for the region. Over the years, Indias foreign policy has progressed from being principled to goal driven and objective oriented. Based on analysis of secondary sources of literature, this chapter traces through the relationship between India and Southeast Asia, highlighting a shared landscape of experiences, weaving socio-cultural practices and further boosting economic and international relations. These historical references have found avenues for remodelling in contemporary times in the form of diplomatic success in varied dimensions of engagements. Drawing from these developments and taking the transformations in the geopolitics of Indo-Pacific region into cognizance, this chapter envisions the future prospects for India and Southeast Asia through the lens of building community resilience, promoting its potential to guide regional development and explore the sustainability of social, economic and environmental systems to manage change. This renewed line of thought supports a new analytic of governance which advocates that the local define the configurations and prospects for sustainability of policy frameworks and agreements in the global system. Thus, in the background of the rising traditional and non-traditional challenges, this chapter contributes to a better understanding of change and complexity through a revitalised scope for coordination, cooperation and pragmatism in partnership between the countries. 2024 Taylor & Francis.</text>

<text>This study analyzed the cognitive and affective components of destination image in the perception of foreign tourists visiting Indian destinations by exploring conceptual constructs, namely Post-visit Destination Image and Perceived Meaningfulness. The exploratory factor analysis of the responses of foreign tourists (n = 242) on items related to the major constructs significant in tourist behavior such as destination quality, perceived meaningfulness, and post-visit destination image confirmed the existence of multi-dimensional structure. Additionally, the empirical validation of the theoretical framework developed on the tenents of stimulus-organism-response paradigm with the constructs using structural equation modeling established significant relationships helpful to understand many new travel motivations. The study established that perceived meaningfulness has a significant mediating role in predicting tourist referral/revisit intentions from positive perceptions about destination quality and post-visit destination image. The observations from the study helped to identify six types of travel motivations useful in developing niche markets for positioning Indian destinations. The identified travel motivations, namely physical meaningfulness seeking, eternal meaningfulness seeking, social meaningfulness seeking, nature-loving, hospitality appreciating, and uniqueness exploring, offer directions to destination marketers to revamp destination attributes for destination marketing. 2021 The Authors</text>

<text>The paper outlines the design and simulation of active power factor correction for a 100 hp induction motor using MATLAB/Simulink. In this system, the induction motor functions as the primary load, operating with a low power factor. Different load scenarios are simulated to examine the motor's performance. The current drawn from the supply is verified under varying conditions, both with and without the implementation of a variable capacitance bank. The power system network comprises apparatus such as Induction Motors, Power Transformers, and Induction Furnaces, contributing to a low power factor. The resultant low power factor leads to elevated energy consumption. To mitigate this, power factor correction is imperative. Utilizing a variable capacitance proves instrumental in enhancing the power factor. The capacitor compensates for a portion of the reactive power, consequently reducing the total reactive power drawn from the source. This reduction in reactive power contributes to an overall decrease in power consumption. The research focus is on the effective correction of the power factor for a 100 hp induction motor through comprehensive design and simulation using MATLAB/Simulink, providing valuable insights into the impact of variable capacitance on current draw under diverse load conditions. 2024 IEEE.</text>

<text>The research investigates how employee retention approaches fuel business expansion through their contribution to operational sustainability and market solidity and organizational endurance. Businesses that adopt official retention strategies diminish turnover rates and develop innovative approaches to expand global markets. Businesses which merge HR and leadership insights with data analytics make workforce management match organizational goals thus creating an environment where retention acts as a performance driver. Active retention programs in dynamic business environments produce operational improvements along with enhanced innovation because they empower workers to address business challenges successfully. Through this study researchers demonstrate why organizations need full-scale support measures that include workforce development alongside mentoring services along with workplace flexibility policies for maintaining employee involvement. 2026, IGI Global Scientific Publishing. <text>This chapter examines Indias Indo- Pacific maritime vision through soft balancing theory, analyzing how New Delhi navigates Chinas regional assertiveness while managing internal capability constraints. Indias approach integrates normative leadership through UNCLOS advocacy and the evolution from SAGAR to MAHASAGAR doctrine with strategic partnerships via the QUAD, bilateral engagements with Japan and Australia, and ASEAN- centric diplomacy. These frameworks collectively demonstrate Indias commitment to a rules- based, free, and open Indo- Pacific order. However, critical gaps exist between ambition and capability: Indias naval modernization faces delays, budgetary constraints limit fleet expansion, and defense-i ndustrial weaknesses persist. The study reveals that while India successfully positions itself as a responsible regional actor and norm-s etter, realizing its Indo- Pacific vision requires bridging this capability gap through increased naval investment, indigenous defense production, and sustained strategic partnerships. 2026 by IGI Global Scientific Publishing. <text>Bismuth ferrite (BF) serves a potential electrode-active material due to its peculiar characteristics such as wide voltage window and high specific capacitance, excellent stability, facile synthesis routes, etc. to name a few. Herein we report the strategic design and facile synthesis of multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT)/BF/polyaniline (PANI) nanocomposites, particularly for application in advanced supercapacitors. The MWCNT/BF/PANI nanocomposite architecture is a strategic design in which the maximum available surface area is utilized for the electrode nanostructure with increased porosity that allows easy movement of electrolyte-ions through it. The uniform arrangement of BF on MWCNTs helps in mitigating the possible agglomeration, further augmenting the surface area for an enhanced charge storage. The strategic layout of PANI on BF-decorated MWCNTs has given a coral-like structure for the nanocomposite electrode which significantly increased the surface area, reduced ion pathways and facilitating better access to electrolytic K+ ions. The MWCNT/BF/PANI nanocomposite electrode exhibits a specific capacitance of 3640 F g?1 at a current density of 5 A g?1. The innovative design as well as the synergy between the individual components of the nanocomposite electrode play a pivotal role in attaining the enhanced electrochemical performance. 2024 Elsevier B.V.</text>

<text>The efficiency of the photocatalyst towards the degradation of organic pollutants depends on the harvesting of the visible light and inhibiting the recombination rate of electron-hole pairs to create a large number of charge carriers to drive the redox reaction. Most charge carriers recombine in 2D photocatalyst like g-C3N4 through the bulk process within the stacked layered structure. The recombination through bulk can be suppressed through nanosheet formation, while surface recombination can be inhibited via fast interfacial photogenerated charge transfer. In the present work, Ag-loaded Fe-doped g-C3N4 nanosheet (Ag/Fe-g-C3N4 NS) photocatalyst was synthesized by combining three effective strategies i.e., Fe doping, nanostructuring, and Ag loading. Various analytical techniques have been employed to characterize all the prepared samples. The results indicate that Fe doping influences visible light absorption by modifying the electronic and optical properties. In contrast, nanosheet formation leads to a significant increment in the number of active sites due to the increased surface area. Ag anchoring over Fe-g-C3N4 NS favors charge separation at the interface of Fe-g-C3N4 and Ag due to the presence of the Schottky barrier. Integration of all the three strategies in Ag/Fe-g-C3N4 NS creates a synergistic effect to add beneficial properties and displays a 5-fold improvement in photocatalytic degradation of organic pollutants, as compared to pure g-C3N4. The present study provides a novel and facile approach for realizing an efficient photocatalyst for environmental remediation. 2022 Elsevier B.V.</text>

<text>Developing from the thesis that understanding is the key to any and all meaningful conversation/s, this study focuses on the facilitation of listening skills among foreign language learners. It is conducted with the objective to find out the most effective ways in which an instructor can enable the development of listening skills among the learners of a foreign language. This paper reports the findings of an empirical study which followed a cross-sectional research design and employed a survey method to elicit the data. Twenty-seven Foreign Language Instructors/ Associate Instructors teaching around thirteen different foreign languages across sixteen different universities in the United States of America participated and reported to a survey on effective pre-listening, listening, and post-listening tasks, activities, and strategies which they found to be the most powerful in their respective classrooms. Thirteen of the Seventeen strategies and or/ tasks which were provided in the Strategies for Facilitating Listening (SFL) questionnaire were rated to be highly effective in the facilitation of the development of listening skills among the learners. The paper after discussing the efficacies of the strategies and tasks at hand ends by analyzing the pedagogical implications of the findings. 2020 The authors and IJLTER.ORG. <text>We know from experience that possessions dont better themselves with time. In order to generate income, we must work. So, what do sustainability experts in the global business-school community recommend companies do when calamity begins to subside and some kind of reality is restored? Companies worldwide have suffered greatly from the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result of the epidemic, businesses are being forced to develop long-term strategies that are both profitable and sustainable in terms of society, the economy, and the environment. There is little doubt that businesses contribute significantly to the overall gross domestic product (GDP) of any nation. Because of the pandemic, businesses had to work even harder to reduce waste, adapt to changing demands from customers in record speed, and achieve peak performance alone. This has further raised the status of sustainability to one of moderate significance. Businesses must develop novel and cutting-edge approaches to ensure economic, environmental, and social longevity. Scholars have yet to settle on a single definition due to the business model's complexity. A study found that COVID-19 had both positive and negative impacts on educational technology (edtech) companies. As a result of the pandemic, businesses in the edtech sector no longer needed to make the case for the importance of their products in classrooms. Second, there was a rise in the acceptance of online education among educators. Also, edtech companies grew rapidly and benefited greatly from user feedback, and investors showed a lot of interest in the sector. However, due to the obstacles, sales discussions were either put on hold or cancelled. Edtech companies were unable to expand into new areas as a result of travel limitations. The purpose of this research is to investigate the link between the elements of sustainable development that contribute to the occurrence of enterprises and edtech enterprise employment and interest. 2024 selection and editorial matter, Vandana Sharma, Balamurugan Balusamy, Munish Sabharwal, and Mariya Ouaissa.</text>

<text>Data centers and transmission networks are crucial in the digital age, with the market expected to grow from $50 billion in 2021 to $120 billion by 2030. However, their extensive computing infrastructure and continuous operation generate significant heat, necessitating energy-intensive cooling systems. The IEA report revealed that data center power consumption surged by over 60% between 2015 and 2021, with transmission networks experiencing a 60% usage increase. Addressing these growing energy demands poses significant challenges for the industry, with some countries considering restrictions on new data center licenses due to environmental concerns. To mitigate the climate impact, the industry must prioritize the procurement of low-carbon or carbon-free electricity to reduce Scope 2 emissions related to electricity, heating, and cooling. Tech giants like AWS, Google, and Meta/Facebook have already adopted ambitious public targets, either running on carbon-free electricity or investing in global projects for cost-effective and large-scale emissions reduction. 2024, IGI Global.</text>

<text>Developing Countries like India, face huge amounts of power cuts starting from a few hours to few days. Some of the main reasons are transmission and distribution losses, theft, lack of smart infrastructure, poor maintenance of the existing systems, lack of smart algorithms etc., Due to this reason consumers have moved to back up systems to feed their loads. Tonnes of diesel has been consumed through generators, due to power cuts, because to this consumers are suffering to pay extra cost for electricity as their energy bills are an addition of grid cost as well as the back up cost. The load dispatch centers will implement load shedding leading to a compete outage in a few areas. As a result the consumers in these areas immediately turn on their back up sources leading to an increase in energy cost. There are no smart algorithms used either to distribute the power at the utility end or to manage the loads during an outage, especially when the loads are running on back-up supply. This report suggests some smart algorithms to provide partial power to consumers rather than a complete outage, load shifting techniques to the consumers at the time of an outage so that they can optimize their back up cost, last but not the least smart integration of solar power to the consumers to optimize the over all energy costs.</text>

<text>Developing Countries like India, face huge amounts of power cuts starting from a few hours to few days. Some of the main reasons are transmission and distribution losses, theft, lack of smart infrastructure, poor newlinemaintenance of the existing systems, lack of smart algorithms etc., Due to this reason consumers have moved to back up systems to feed their loads. As a result the consumers in these areas newlineimmediately turn on their back up sources leading to an increase in energy cost. There are no smart algorithms used either to distribute the power at the utility end or to manage the loads during an outage, especially when the loads are running on back-up supply. This report suggests some smart algorithms to provide partial power to consumers rather than a complete outage, load shifting techniques to the consumers at the time of an outage so that they can optimize their back up cost, last but not the least smart newlineintegration of solar power to the consumers to optimize the over all energy costs. newlineThe partial outage algorithm results, in supplying partial power to consumers rather than a complete outage condition this is achieved by implementing a simple unitary method based on the power consumption of the newlineconsumers. By supplying partial power, the consumers can save a certain amount of expenditure on back up cost especially from diesel generators and also utilize the on grid solar generation if the consumer is having a solar roof top installation. </text>

<text>The criminal justice system relies significantly on human decision-making, with the parole system primarily responsible for addressing convicted criminals' rehabilitation. A paradigm change in prisoner rehabilitation and reintegration is underway with the introduction of artificial intelligence ( Al) into correctional institutions. A specific approach to alleviate the effects of human error is by utilising artificial intelligence to enhance human decision-making. Algorithms are being utilised in several jurisdictions to offer judges guidance on the appropriate type and level of punishment that should be imposed on convicted criminals. While human judgement has long played a crucial part in criminal justice systems, technological advancements are progressively augmenting the ability to make decisions. This paper examines the necessity of establishing broad restrictions on the application of algorithms in sentencing determinations. Critique plays a vital role in criminal sentencing; however, the implementation of algorithms in advisory capacities may compromise this significance. To uphold condemnatory sentencing, it is essential to recognise a principle of 'meaningful public control', which necessitates ethical accountability from representatives of the wider political community. This principle does not prohibit the use of algorithms; still it does impose restrictions on their implementation. The review posits that Al has the potential to improve fairness and efficiency in pretrial and jail systems within the criminal justice framework through the application of risk assessment software. The research envisages Al's potential to enhance the rehabilitative, compassionate, and effective aspects of the penal system, thereby facilitating societal reintegration and decreasing rates of recidivism. 2025 Sofia Khatun and Sivananda Kumar K. <text>Rapid technical breakthroughs and a competitive labor market characterize today's business prospects, emphasizing the need for successful recruitment and talent acquisition. Preparing for your company's future workforce entails evaluating who, when, why, and how you hireall of which are mirrored in your talent acquisition strategy. If given the option, 49% of Millennial workers would quit their present employment within the next two years (2019 Deloitte Global Millennial Survey). Many businesses consider finding the right people with the proper abilities their most pressing hiring challenge. Companies that employ effective talent acquisition methods lead to a successful workforce. However, lousy hiring can significantly reduce company profitability and efficiency. This research paper aims to analyze the current talent acquisition practices and processes adopted by the company and to understand the various factors affecting talent acquisition practices. A proactive talent acquisition strategy, encompassing strategic workforce planning, employer branding, continuous talent pipelining, technological integration, skill development, collaboration with educational institutions, data-driven decision-making, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion, forms a comprehensive model for long-term sustainable success. By adopting and adapting these practices, organizations can build a resilient and adaptable workforce capable of navigating the challenges of an ever-evolving business landscape. <text>This study focused on examining the influence of strategy formulation and implementation on the performance and competitive advantage of the foodmanufacturing companies in Zimbabwe. The study was prompted by the fact that newlinestrategy is essential in every organisation and that competing in the market is like newlinewar, you have injuries and casualties and the best strategy wins . More so, even though the food-manufacturing companies are essential to the Zimbabwean economy, there has been limited research on the area of strategy formulation and implementation. The study applied both quantitative and qualitative approaches because looking at the same problem from several viewpoints is an excellent way to verify data and come up with interpretation and conclusions. It is in view of this fact that the researcher used the triangulation approach, which is a combination of both philosophies, qualitative and quantitative data. The research was a survey because it allowed the research to collect data from a sizeable number of participants in 10 foodmanufacturing companies in Zimbabwe. The researcher used personal judgement in selecting the companies to be part of the study. The data was collected from directors and managerial employees, who are largely involved in the process of strategy formulation and implementation. The researcher used the questionnaires and the indepth interviews as research instruments. SPSS was the quantitative data analysis and qualitative data analysis was using thematic analysis. The study found out that foodmanufacturing companies in Zimbabwe were facing performance related challenges and there were mixed responses on the extent to which they were failing to meet financial, customer, internal business process improvement, and learning and growth targets. The food-manufacturing companies implemented marketing, human resource, financial and operations strategies but were not successful in their endeavours.</text>
