<text>The presence of Learning Disabilities (LD) increases the possibility of psychological distress due to the negative school experiences. Apart from academic difficulties, students with LD are facing social and emotional problems related to their disabilities. If the psychological distress evolves over time without proper management, it may lead to psychosocial maladjustment. Previous research has shown that proactive coping helps minimize stress and maladjustment issues and is a predictor of success in people with LD. In comparison to students without LD, students with LD in Kerala have lower proactive coping and are more maladjusted. Hence, the current study has tailored an intervention to enhance proactive coping for students with LD. The present study followed the quasi-experimental research design to examine the effectiveness of the intervention on students with LD. A total of 200 participants from various schools across Kerala were initially selected using a multistage random sampling method. Subsequently, participants exhibiting the lowest scores in proactive coping were identified, and then 60 of them were randomly assigned to either the experimental or control group for the intervention. Proactive Coping Inventory for Adolescents and Adjustment Inventory for School Students were the tools used in this study. The data collected from the experimental and control groups following the intervention were analysed using Mixed analysis of variance and Repeated Measures of ANOVA. The findings of the study showed that the proactive coping intervention has significantly enhanced the proactive coping and social emotional adjustment of students with LD. Using these proactive coping interventions in remedial instruction will enable the students to develop a healthy coping style that benefits their personal growth. The Author(s) 2025.</text>

The enhanced chi-square goodness of fit for the COVID-19 pandemic scenario is developed, and the proposed method is used to assess the increased testing rates in India and significant improvement in the COVID-19 medical sector. India has a population of approximately 1.39 billion people and is extremely densely inhabited in contrast to other countries. The current male population of 51.6 percent and the male population of 48.4 percent in areas with an overall low economic status have all posed significant challenges to India's first campaign against the COVID-19 hotspot.</text>

<text>Anxiety disorders represent one of the most prevalent mental health challenges worldwide, affecting over 300 million individuals across all age groups. Among these, specific phobias constitute a large subset, often leading to avoidance behaviors, functional impairment, and reduced quality of life. Traditional in vivo exposure therapy (IVET) has long been considered the gold standard for treating such disorders, yet its practical limitations-such as patient noncompliance, difficulty in replicating real-life stimuli, and logistical challenges-have necessitated the exploration of digital therapeutic alternatives. This study presents a comprehensive comparative analysis of Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) exposure interventions, examining their therapeutic efficacy, engagement mechanisms, and clinical applicability relative to IVET. Through a systematic review of high-quality Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs), meta-analyses, and empirical studies published between 2010 and 2025, this research synthesizes evidence regarding symptom reduction, physiological response modulation, and patient adherence across age groups and phobia categories. Findings demonstrate that both AR and VR interventions achieve symptom reductions equivalent to IVET, while offering additional benefits in accessibility, immersion, and personalization. VR shows superior outcomes in complex environmental and situational phobias through enhanced sensory engagement, whereas AR demonstrates strong ecological validity and user comfort in natural settings, particularly for pediatric and home-based use. The paper concludes by identifying current challenges such as cybersickness, ethical considerations in data use, and the necessity for longitudinal studies to assess sustained therapeutic impact. 2025 IEEE.</text>

<text>Video gaming is a popular leisure activity enjoyed by millions globally, helping with socialisation, interaction, and relieving stress. It may also become a maladaptive coping mechanism to evade distress and negative emotions, leading to problematic usage. Research evidence shows that problematic gaming is associated with different psychosocial issues. Video games can be a way of negative coping and escaping reality, and problematic usage can hide other problems of players in real life. Adolescents are vulnerable to problematic use due to their developmental stages, and those with specific vulnerabilities and disabilities are at greater risk. No one psychotherapy has all the answers, and the multi-component intervention technique might have better treatment utility than a solitary behaviour intervention. The research aims to show the effectiveness of the intervention for problematic video game usage in a community-based setting. The study focuses on adolescents in seventh through ninth grade who were identified as problematic video gamers (not addictive users) from a selected group of schools in Kerala. The study employed an experimental design, encompassing both intervention and control groups, to systematically assess the effects of the experimental manipulation and establish a baseline measurement. The paired t-test results showed no significant decrease in the intervention groups Gaming Addiction Scale at the post-test, but it did lower the addiction scores. By conducting the research, we provide psychological care for adolescents and help them identify and prevent problematic gaming experiences. The research underscores the significance of early identification and prevention of problematic video game usage among adolescents, advocating for a holistic approach incorporating diverse components. 2024 selection and editorial matter, Dr. Sundeep Katevarapu, Dr. Anand Pratap Singh, Dr. Priyanka Tiwari, Ms. Akriti Varshney, Ms. Priya Lanka, Ms. Aankur Pradhan, Dr. Neeraj Panwar, Dr. Kumud Sapru Wangnue; individual chapters, the contributors.</text>

<text>With the advent of data communication the increased usage of the technologies results in network intrusions and associated attacks. Consequently, the data violation rates are increased abundantly and that sacrifices Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability. This article focused on the network Intrusion Detection System (IDS) that detects various attacks and types. Machine learning (ML) has the potential to spot known-experience and Zero-day attacks. Consequently, the article has considered ML and ensembled models for the various attack classification. The major contributions of the current article are 3-fold. Initially, to understand the relevance and sufficiency of the dataset through exploratory data analysis. Second, the comprehensive understanding of the various attacks, its nature, various types and classifications and finally, the empirical analysis of the dataset through the potential of various ML models. The article utilized various discriminative models for the execution and all of the models have shown better accuracy. The tree-based ensemble model, Random Forest has outperformed the rest of the models with higher accuracy in the training and testing samples of 99.997 % and 99.969 % respectively. 2023 IEEE.</text>

<text>The investigation of the nonlinear models and their complex nature with generalized theory associated to material and history-based properties is a motivation for the present work. The mathematical model describing the chemical reaction, namely BelousovZhabotinsky (BZ) reaction is examined in the present work using the efficient numerical method. For the obtained numerical results, the change of color and patterns formation is presented in a different order. The impact of the rate change is presented for the diverse associated parameters. For the considered system, the boundedness, stability, existence, and other dynamical conditions are derived. The consequences of generalizing the model within the fractional order are derived. The present study helps researchers to investigate complex real world problems and predict the corresponding plans to be made using the efficient approach. 2022 Elsevier Ltd</text>

<text>The education sector has undergone a tremendous transformation during the last few decades with the advancement of information and communication technology. Traditional methods of teaching and learning are replaced with modern technology enabled methods such as virtual reality, 3D images and videos, augmented reality, and gamification. Tourism education involves learning about geographic regions, destinations, and sightseeing. The shift from offline mode of teaching to a completely online and digital platform during the COVID-19 pandemic has further accelerated the need to include such innovative practices in teaching and learning. This chapter focuses on the potential benefits of enabling technology infused teaching and learning methods and their implications on improving student motivation and engagement. 2023, IGI Global. It is the ability to obtain security event characteristics or findings from cyber security information and then develop a matching information model that will allow a security system to become autonomous and smart. The widespread proliferation and the usage of Web and Smartphone applications has increased the size of cyber world as a consequence. When a computerized assault takes too long to complete, the internet becomes vulnerable. Security measures may be improved by recognizing and reacting to cyber-attacks, thanks to cyber security techniques. Security measures that were previously used aren't any longer appropriate because scammers have learned how to evade them. It is getting more difficult to detect formerly unknown and unpredictable security breaches, which are growing more widespread. Cyber security is becoming more dependent on machine learning (ML) techniques. Machine learning algorithms' dependability remains a major challenge, given its continual advancement. It is possible to find malicious hackers in internet that are ready to exploit ML defects that have been made public. A thorough review of machine learning techniques safeguarding cyberspace against attacks is provided in this paper, which presents a literature review on Cyber security using machine learning methods, such as vulnerability scanning, spam filtering, or threat detection on desktop networks as well as smart phone networks. Among other things, this paper provides brief descriptions of each machine-learning technique and security info, essential machine-learning technology, and evaluation parameters for a classification method. 2022 IEEE.</text>

<text>In the current scenario, startups play a pivotal role and exert a significant influence on the promotion of economic growth. Authorities perceive their substantial impact, considering factors such as job creation, economic development, and contributions to technological upgrading (Thornton and Assocham in Startups Indiaan overview, 2016; Jain in Int J Appl Res 2:152154, 2016; Sarangi in Why do most Indian startups fail? Computer Science and Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, 2015). There has been a noteworthy effort to promote entrepreneurship through the establishment and support of various incubation centers. Despite the positive reception and development initiatives, the alarming startup failure rates in India persist due to various reasons. Available data indicates that 12 states in India have 1000 recognized startups each, with Karnataka being particularly well-recognized for progress and brand creation, especially in the city of Bangalore. In light of this, the study aims to identify the demographic profile of employees in startups in India, with a special focus on Bangalore city. <text>The human gut is a bustling colony of micro-inhabitants such as bacteria, archaea, and eukarya. These microbes inhabited the earth trillions of years before humans, evolved along with humans, and have now outnumbered humans. It has now been established without doubt that these microbiota within us play a significant role in the maintenance of our physical health. They exist in a symbiotic and/or commensal relationship within the host body and assist in digestion, metabolism, and regulation of the immune functions. Interestingly, recent reports suggest that these aliens can regulated our brain and behaviour too. The role of the gut-brain axis in the overall well-being is becoming increasingly evident and nurturing this connection might address many of the challenges in targeting illnesses of the brain. Moreover, in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, more and more evidences have unfolded suggesting the impact of peripheral inflammation on mental health. Here, the importance of gut microbes, peripheral immune system, and their influence on brain diseases is addressed. 2025 by IGI Global Scientific Publishing. All rights reserved.</text>

<text>The establishment of quantum networks marks an important revolution in quantum information science. This chapter delivers an exploration of the basics, building blocks, architecture, challenges, and future directions of quantum networks. The chapter starts with an introduction to quantum networks, the importance of quantum networks, and potential applications. Quantum networks influence the principles of quantum mechanics, including quantum entanglement and superposition, to facilitate secure communication, quantum computing, and quantum key distribution. The objective and scope of the chapter are defined, providing the first step for a comprehensive analysis. Essential concepts in quantum information science are conferred in the second section. Readers are familiarized to quantum mechanics and its significance to quantum networks. The quantum entanglement and superposition are explained, as they form the basis for several quantum message protocols. Quantum computing and quantum key distribution are the integral components of quantum networks and are also explored. The building blocks of quantum networks are covered in the next section. The Quantum hardware including quantum bits, quantum gates, and quantum processors is also discussed. The purpose of quantum communication channels, such as quantum optical fibers, quantum links, and satellite-based quantum communication, is inspected. These components are essential for transmitting as well as processing quantum information reliably and efficiently. The architecture of quantum networks is detailed in the subsequent section. Various network topologies, ranging from point-to-point connections to quantum indigenous area networks, quantum metropolitan area networks, and quantum wide area networks, are explored in this section. The functions of quantum network nodes and the use of quantum repeaters, quantum switches, and quantum memories are explained. Furthermore, quantum network protocols, including quantum teleportation, routing and switching, error correction, and key distribution, are discussed in detail. The establishment of quantum networks presents a number of challenges, which are addressed in the fifth section. Quantum noise, essential obstacles to quantum communication, are studied. Approaches for quantum error correction are explored. The considerations for network scalability, security, synchronization, management, and monitoring are also discussed. Solutions to these challenges are essential for the effective deployment of quantum networks. The current state of quantum network progress is presented in the sixth section. Investigational quantum networks and real-world implementations are also discussed. Case studies and success stories highlight the practical applications and potential impact of quantum networks. Future directions and emerging trends in quantum networks are outlined in the seventh section. Exploration includes the interoperability of quantum networks, the expansion of a global quantum internet, the development of quantum networks worldwide, quantum cloud computing, quantum sensor networks, and the incorporation of quantum machine learning into network operations. These improvements have the potential to reshape industries and scientific fields, providing a concrete path for transformative technologies. In conclusion, this chapter delivers an outline of the establishment of quantum networks. It covers the fundamentals, building blocks, architecture, challenges, and future directions of quantum networks. By investigating into these topics, this chapter aims to encourage researchers and engineers to explore the enormous opportunities presented by quantum networks and contribute to their improvement and realization. 2025 Scrivener Publishing LLC..</text>

<text>The widespread implementation of renewable energy sources, along with a more proactive approach to managing electricity use, is causing a shift in the way power systems operate and electricity is traded in the market. The P2P economy in particular is benefiting from this change. To efficiently handle the fast changes in renewable power generation at the distribution network level, a local market mechanism that can adapt is required. The efficient and safe operation of the distribution network is also bound to be affected by the extensive adoption of P2P energy trading. This study presents a new paradigm for P2P power trading that accounts for constraints imposed by distribution network security. Specifically, the design makes use of the generalised quick dual ascent method. The article lays out the groundwork for an event-based local peer-to-peer market, which would facilitate rapid and efficient energy swaps inside a certain region. The next step in making sure the distribution system is secure is to evaluate the impact of peer-to-peer transactions on the network using the nodal voltage and network loss in relation to nodal power injections. This allows for an internal determination of how to distribute the costs of P2P energy trading and the incorporation of the external operating constraints. Distributed market-clearing is also applied efficiently by means of a universal quick dual ascent technique. The numerical results show that the proposed model can implement P2P energy trading securely into the distribution system. Furthermore, the method for solving the problem shows remarkable efficiency in achieving convergence. 2024, Auricle Global Society of Education and Research. All rights reserved.</text>

<text>The present investigation involves two synthesis methods, autocombustion (Co3O4-AC) and solgel (Co3O4-SG), for producing nearly spherical-shaped and polygonal shaped nanomaterials of spinel cobalt oxide (Co3O4) respectively as electrode materials. TEM image analysis unveiled distinct particle morphologies for the two samples. The Co3O4-AC particles exhibited a nearly spherical shape, whereas the Co3O4-SG particles displayed a polygonal shape. The phase purity of the Co3O4 samples were confirmed via XRD patterns analysis and the crystallite size was calculated to be 44nm for Co3O4-AC and 36nm for Co3O4-SG. The surface area, estimated via BET experiments, of Co3O4-AC was found to be 15m2/g, while Co3O4-SG exhibited a slightly lower surface area of 11m2/g. Co3O4-AC exhibited a higher specific capacitance (Cs) of 162F/g at 0.25A/g, indicating its superior energy storage capability. On the other hand, Co3O4-SG shows a Cs of 98F/g, indicating slightly lower performance compared to Co3O4-AC. Both nanomaterials exhibited better stability, with more than 85% capacity retention after 5000 chargedischarge cycles. 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to the Institute of Chemistry, Slovak Academy of Sciences.</text>

<text>Cloud computing has transformed the digital landscape, providing scalability, cost efficiency, and seamless access to computing resources. Yet, there is a gap between its theoretical aspirations and real-world achievements because of data privacy concerns, regulatory compliance, vendor lock-in, and performance bottlenecks. This paper critically examines these disparities through case studies, technological breakthroughs, and industry trends as a guide to understanding these impediments to cloud adoption. The study reviews the theoretical background of cloud computing, which include models related to deployment and service, and illustrates its successes in performance, reliability, and security. Persistent barriers, however, mean security and compliance are insecure while cost unpredictability remains a concern for organizations in using the maximum potential of a cloud. The study proposes strategic solutions that can serve to bridge the gap in terms of hybrid and multi-cloud adoption, AI-driven security frameworks, regulatory compliance automation, and various cost optimization techniques. Emerging trends like quantum computing, edge computing, and green cloud initiatives are shaping the future of cloud computing. By implementing these solutions, more is made out of the potential of cloud computing in securing a more efficient and sustainable digital infrastructure. 2025 IEEE.</text>

<text>The barter system, the oldest form of exchange dating back to human civilization, involves directly exchanging goods and services without using money. However, it comes with limitations, such as the requirement for a double coincidence of wants, difficulties in valuing goods and services, and the absence of a store of value. Over time, various forms of money emerged to overcome these limitations. Commodity money, like gold and silver, gained value due to their rarity and intrinsic worth. Later, fiat currencies were introduced, backed by trust rather than physical commodities. In contrast, cryptocurrency, a new digital currency not issued by any central authority, relies on blockchain technology for secure and anonymous transactions. This paper traces the evolution of currency from medieval times to the present digital era and explores the differences between the barter system, fiat currency, and cryptocurrency. It also delves into the potential of cryptocurrency to revolutionize our perception of money. 2024, IGI Global. All rights reserved.</text>
