Artificial intelligence (AI) has moved the banking sector into a new era, offering unmatched channels to improve efficiency, risk management, and customer experiences. The research delved into the role of AI in banking, particularly the applications, challenges, and implications. Descriptive research design is used to describe the acceptance rate of banking customers toward leveraging AI in Banking transactions through theTechnology Acceptance Model (TAM) to prove the hypothesis thatAttitude Towards Using AI mediates the individual effects of Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, and Perceived Risk with Behavioural Intention. The primary data was collected from 385 banking customers using the purposive sampling technique by circulating astructured questionnaire. This research shows that AI brings about more benefits than challenges, but it is crucial to handle the latter carefully to enable sustainable sectoral growth. The empirical results support theexistence of a promising environment for AI adoption in thebanking industry as there the customers show a positive behavioural intention. The combination of AI and insurance was once an idyllic idea, but it has now become an imperative, transforming how insurers analyze, manage, and mitigate risks. AI benefits the insurance sector in a variety of ways. It aids in accelerated underwriting, hazard assessment, more equitable pricing, and tailored policies. AI helps to speed up claim processing and detect fraudulent activity. Furthermore, AI enables the performance of operations by means of lowering administrative overhead via automation. The purpose of the study is to examine the current and potential AI applications in the insurance sector and also to analyse the impact of AI in the insurance sector. The study employed a descriptive research design and the data has been collected through secondary sources like journals, books, reports, websites, etc. The study found that AI has enabled insurers to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and offer extra customized danger evaluation for its clients. This has led to a seamless and handy revel in for policyholders, in addition to extra correct underwriting and pricing for insurers. Additionally, AI has facilitated the automation of claims processing, taking into account quicker and extra correct claims settlements. This article aims to analyze the reasons behind the gig economys growth considering the present and future. From few empirical pieces of evidence, it is clear that the gig economy took shape after the 2008 great economic recession, where unemployment rose in leaps and bounds along with voluntary job leaving. In recent times, the COVID-19 pandemic is one of the primary reasons for the forced rise of the gig economy. Strategically and practically speaking, from the economic point of view, the gig economy is dominated by Gen Y and Gen C and will be dominated by Gen Alpha soon. However, there are very fragile differences between Gen Y, C, and Gen Alpha; all three generations are lashed together in the name of tech-savvy and flexibility-seekers. Thus, this article justifies the influence of technology generations and the rise of the gig economy. There is less research work exclusively on Gen Y, C, and Alpha. Still, regarding the gig economy in light of the great economic recession and COVID-19, this new work highlights originality. Future researchers working on Gen Alpha and Gen C can explore the role of digital technologies in changing routine life and its impact on their personal life and career life. Technology has been a significant reason for the sprung-in gig jobs. However, it can also have adverse outcomes, which has scope to be explored. A smart city implies realising sustainable city growth enabled by technology-based intelligent solutions to give its citizens a good quality of life. Information and communication technologies play a crucial role as the nerve centre of the smart city for collecting and analysing data from various sources, like mobile, social media, and sensors. The Internet of things (IoT) and big data (BD) also play a critical role in smart city infrastructures, changing how we analyse patterns and trends in human behaviour. Smart cities generate massive amounts of data and therefore need many flexible ways to process data and implement solutions. Recently, cognitive analytics have attracted the attention of researchers and practitioners worldwide as a technology-based innovative solution. It is a novel approach to information discovery and decision-making which uses multiple intelligent technologies such as statistical machine learning, deep learning, distributed artificial intelligence, natural language processing and visual pattern recognition to understand data and generate insights. A cognitive smart city refers to the convergence of emerging IoT and smart city technologies to realise cyber-physical social systems, their generated big data from sensing to communication and computing, and artificial intelligence techniques for all aspects of collaborative computing in sensors, actuators and human-machine interfaces. The field of humanities typically approaches the concept of cognitive cities from a cultural, philosophical, and humanistic perspective. Humanities scholars examine how cities shape our thoughts, beliefs, values, and experiences and how they impact our collective memory and identity. They consider the role of cities as sites of cultural production and consumption and explore the social and political implications of urbanisation and technological advancement. This paper aims to highlight the connection between technology and the humanities in the context of cognitive cities. The combination of VLC and blockchain technologies has immense potential to solve several problems that arise in urban infrastructures of smart cities. This chapter examines real- life instances and scenarios of the said integration beginning from accident prevention, traffic management to coordination of autonomous vehicles and smart parking services. VANET consists of V2V and V2I communication which promotes averting collisions, hazards and even allows an adaptive optimization of traffic in real- time environments. In addition, blockchain assists this by providing data preservation as well as guaranteeing security and accountability across all aspects of the construction through decentralized individual approaches, smart contracts, and incentivized mechanisms. We live in a period when historical fiction has become current reality. With our future being automated, using AI on a daily basis will only get more convenient. Making military weapons to detect, monitor, and engage a human being with attacks may all be done in the privacy of one's own garden. There is a plethora of AI software out there that can be readily integrated into combat weapons. The automobile industry is already incorporating AI into vehicles to assess driving circumstances and give augmented reality to drivers via heads-up displays in order to assist avert accidents. In this research article, introduce a novel decision making method called HPF-ELECTRE method by extending the ELECTRE III (ELimination and Choice Expressing REality) method with HPF (Hesitant Pythagorean Fuzzy) set. The efficiency of the new method is testing in the plastic recycling problem. One of the most hazardous domestic materials is plastic. The low biodegradability nature of plastic is a serious threat to the environment and to human life. Plastic is a synthetic chemical that do not belong to the natural world. Owing to the non-biodegradability, the only way to deal with this modern-world problem is recycling. Finding a suitable recycling method for disposing and recycling plastic materials is a major research issue. Propose the HPF-ELECTRE III method to find out the adaptable recycling method for plastics materials. It is a biodiversity rich area having a distinctive climatic impact on lives of people in Asia. Major rivers of the region originate from the Himalayan Mountains providing the source of water for a large mass of population. Himalaya is a house to many crops of the world, natural wealth as well as indigenous societies and knowledge system. It is a rich repository of plant and animal wealth providing a source of livelihood to millions of people in the Asian region. Its significance lies in the fact that it has been recognised as among the 34 global biodiversity hotspots. Due to anthropogenic activitiesdriven by the economic development modellike mining, road construction, dam construction, tourism, infrastructure development et al. and climate change there has been wide spread damage to fragile Himalayan ecosystem. The consequences of such developmental activities has far reaching consequences on the future of Himalayan ecosystem altering the course of nature and impacting human lives and societies depending on Himalaya and hence unsustainable for the earth. It is predicted that the anthropogenic activities in and around Himalayas shall have significant consequences regionally and globally raising questions about natural resources, ecology, sustainability, loss of habitat by species, human rights, livelihood of people in the region. The present model of development solely premised on the anthropocentricism has caused enormous harm to Himalayan ecology. It has ignored the traditional conservation model adopted by traditional inhabitants bringing great destruction to the Himalaya which has global implications. In the light of the above this chapter will discuss the consequences of anthropogenic activities on the Himalayan ecosystem. Moreover, it will explore the sustainability of anthropogenic activities and how that can be helpful to the planet. Moreover, it will offer few suggestions for the improvement of the Himalayan ecosystem which will be advantageous to the present as well as future generations. Recently, much controversy has been raised about the cosmological conundrum involving the discrepancy in the value of the Hubble constant as implied by Planck satellite observations of the CMBR in the early Universe and that deduced from other distance indicators (for instance using standard candles like supernovae, tip of the red giant branch, etc.) in the present epoch. The Planck estimate is about 67km-1Mpc-1, while that deduced from distance indicators at the present epoch is around 73-74km-1Mpc-1. Also the independent determination of the local value of the Hubble constant based on a calibration of the tip of the red giant branch and applied to Type Ia supernovae found a value of 69.8km-1Mpc-1. Here we propose a modification of the gravitational field on large scales as an alternate explanation for this discrepancy in the value of the Hubble constant as implied in the above-mentioned method, i.e., by Planck observations of the CMBR in the early Universe, and that deduced from other distance indicators in the present epoch. 2021, Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science.

Purpose. Amid the increasing importance of subjective well-being in shaping employees work outcomes, especially amidst growing health concerns and the adoption of hybrid work models, HR practitioners are actively seeking effective strategies to enhance employee well-being. The aim of this study is to develop and validate a scale for assessing autonomy in hybrid work, and subsequently, investigate the potential impact of autonomy on the subjective well-being of employees. Methodology. Data were gathered from employees working in the Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) sector in Bengaluru, India in the form of a survey from a sample size of 440 employees. Devellis methodology was followed for the scale development and multiple regression analysis was used to test the hypotheses. Findings. Autonomy in hybrid work positively related with employee well-being, with location autonomy (31.4%) being a significant contributor to this positive association followed by scheduling autonomy (17.4%) and time autonomy (7%). However, the dimension of decision-making autonomy did not show a significant relationship with subjective well-being. Research implications for practice. This research assists decision-makers in understanding the ramifications of different forms of work autonomy on workforce well-being and grasping the evolving landscape of organizational psychology. Researchers can utilize the developed scale to scrutinize autonomys effects on diverse employee outcomes, such as productivity and job satisfaction across various industries and countries, thereby augmenting the scales generalizability. The hype of the hybrid on work culture compatibility

In the wake of the pandemic, a new working model known as the "hybrid model" has emerged, combining the advantages and disadvantages of both "on-site" and "work from home" cultures to create a balance between the two worlds. This study conducts an in-depth survey of the merits and demerits of diverse working cultures among employees at various hierarchy levels in different industry sectors. Based on the assortment of over 350 white-collar employees working across India in the cultures mentioned earlier, it has been observed that the hype of the hybrid is justified. The study discovered that the majority of the workforce favors the hybrid model, providing the perfect balance between work and personal life. However, this new blend needs to have a better cognizance and acceptance from both the employer and the employee perspectives.
