Married couples undergoing geographical separation in their married life due to reasons other than marital discord is becoming a very common phenomenon in the Indian scenario. The aim of this study was to determine whether there is a significant difference in Marital Satisfaction (and Subjective Well Being) among married couples who are staying together and married couples who are staying geographically apart. It was hypothesized that there is a significant difference among married couples who are living together and living geographically apart in their Marital Satisfaction (H1), there is a significant difference among married couples who are living together and living geographically apart in their Subjective Well Being (H2), and that there is a significant positive relationship between Marital Satisfaction and Subjective Well Being (H3).
This study was conducted on 30 married couples who were staying together and 40 married couples who were staying geographically apart between the age ranges of 30-45 years.
The participants were selected using the purposive sampling technique. The marital satisfaction and subjective well being of the participants were measured using the Marital Satisfaction Scale (MSS) and Subjective Well-being Inventory (SUBI) respectively.
The data obtained for statistically analyzed. The Independent Samples t test was done to find the significance of difference between means of marital satisfaction among married couples who are living together and living geographically apart. The t value was found to be significant at 0.01 levels, thereby, accepting the first hypothesis (H1). In order to find the significance of difference between means of subjective well being among married couples who are living together and living geographically apart, the Independent Samples t test was done. And the t value was found to be significant at 0.01 levels, thereby, accepting the second hypothesis (H2). Pearsons product moment correlation was done in order to find the direction and strength of relationship between Marital Satisfaction and Subjective Well Being. The correlation coefficient showed a strong positive relationship between both the variables thus accepting the third hypothesis (H3).

The study aims to understand the influence of hypnotic relaxation on stress among BSc. Nursing Students. It tries to find out whether hypnotic suggestions can be useful in dealing with stressful events in their hospital and study level experiences. Convenience sampling technique was employed. The GHQ -12 was administered as a screening tool to the 1st and 2nd year nursing students from NIMHANS. 60 BSc. nursing students were selected after GHQ screening. These 60 participants responded as having high perceived stress and divided into two groups. The experimental group had 30 participants and control group had 30 participants. Post assessment indicated that the experimental group who were provided with regular hypnotic relaxation had significantly reduced their perceived stress.

The shift to renewable energy sources is picking up pace globally, with solar energy being one of the most significant sustainable solutions. However, with technological advancements and declining costs, solar adoption has been inconsistent among various consumer segments. This review critically examines marketing strategies, awareness campaigns, financial incentives, and socioeconomic factors as drivers of solar energy adoption. The study classifies findings into four key dimensions, namely: consumer awareness, effectiveness of traditional compared to digital marketing, socioeconomic influences, and psychological and behavioural impacts on decision making. Results show that high consumer awareness leads to highly significant increases in adoption rates, while traditional marketing finds relevance in low-digital penetration, but digital marketing is more effective all along. Policies and incentives for economic support also have an immense impact on adoption rates among the lower classes because high-class education and urbanization affect adoption rates strongly. Behavioural factors including consumer trust in providers, environmental causes, installation ease, and social influence further influence consumer adoption readiness. Recommendations emerging from this study point towards awareness campaigns targeted at specific groups, availability of financial incentives, and customized marketing strategies aimed at actual consumption at a scale. This literature review has informed policymakers and marketers on how to tailor their marketing and promotion approach towards solar energy as a mass adoption solution. 2025, Iquz Galaxy Publisher. For m-commerce vendors, the difficulty is to decipher what factors impact customer actions in the ubiquitous mobile setting. In addition, companies are attempting to incorporate social media into their mobile approach in some way. This proposed approach to the findings of a qualitative exploratory study regarding the use of social media and smartphones within the framework of mobile commerce. Keep in mind the order of importance while doing data preprocessing, feature selection, and training the model. The usual steps in getting data ready for processing, such as cleaning it, identifying users and sessions, and finding episodes. The IS-DT suggested method's implementation technique is utilized in feature selection. Unified FCM-RF-DNN models need to be trained after features have been retrieved. Two state-of-the-art approaches, RF and DNN, are outperformed by the suggested approach. Following the implementation of the method, accuracy improved by 96.13%. 2024 IEEE.

The case study aims to understand the influence of social environment on the course of life of children of a commercial sex worker. The participants of the study were two sons of a commercial sex worker who grew up in different environments. The older sibling who is 19 years of age (case 1) lives with his mother, whereas the younger sibling who is 17 years of age (case 2) lives in a hostel distant from everyday influence of a brothel. The study adopts multiple case study design and in-depth interviews were conducted to gather data. The obtained data were subjected to thematic analysis. Each case was analyzed individually, and then cross comparison of the themes derived was carried out. The themes derived on analyzing case 1 were social categorization, mercenary activity, substance aficionado, complacency in life, and compliance with life while the themes derived on analyzing case 2 were disgust toward commercial sex work, feeling of precariousness, antipathy toward home environment, irrational thoughts and anticipation of a better future. The only overlapping issue that emerged in both cases was being protective about their mother. It was concluded that environmental variance contributes to the difference in experience and perception of the situation and society. Indian Journal of Social Psychiatry. All Rights Reserved.

The increasing use of social media platforms for investment-related information and advice has raised concerns about the impact of social media on investment choices. In this paper, we investigated the role of behavioral biases and risk perception in investment decisions. Specifically, this paper aims to explore the impact of social media on these factors and their influence on investment decisions. To achieve this aim, we investigated the existing works on the impact of social media on investment decisions, including its influence on behavioral biases and risk perception. We also collected data through an online survey from individual investors who use social media for investment-related information and advice. The survey measured their investment decisions, behavioral biases, risk perception, and the impact of social media on these factors. The valuable insights offered by this paper shed light on how social media affects the decisions made regarding investments and extend our understanding of the role of behavioral biases and risk perception in this context. Our results indicate that social media has a significant impact on the investment-related behaviors and perceptions of individual investors. Specifically, social media can exacerbate the effects of behavioral biases, such as herding and overconfidence bias, and influence risk perception. Moreover, the paper highlights the significance of managing social media use to make rational investment decisions. The paper's results can help individual investors make more informed investment decisions by understanding the impact of social media on their investment-related behaviors and perceptions. Moreover, the paper provides useful information to policymakers and financial regulators to develop guidelines for the responsible use of social media in the investment industry. Aim/Purpose This study aims to investigate the relationships between students attitudes toward STEM subjects, 21st-century skills, and technology use, and how these factors influence STEM career interest and subjective well-being among adolescents in the 21st-century classroom. Background While positive attitudes, skill acquisition, and digital learning have been individually studied, their combined effect on students career aspirations and subjective well-being remains underexplored. Addressing this gap can show how these factors work together to support adolescent development. Methodology This study was grounded in established theories of learning and motivation. It employed a statistical method, Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), to test a conceptual model. Data were collected from 1,302 students (grade levels VIII-XII) across 30 schools in Kerala, India. Also analysed were the mediating effects of mathematics and science engagement, teacher efficacy, and teacher leadership. Contribution This research offers a combined model that reveals how students attitudes, skills, technology use, and classroom teaching practices are connected. These factors are shown to influence both career motivation and well-being. Together, the findings provide a broader and clearer picture of modern education. Findings Students with positive attitudes toward STEM showed more engagement in learning. Effective and supportive teachers also influenced them. This influence shaped their career interest. Their well-being was improved indirectly through this engagement and career motivation, but their direct impact on well-being was limited. The model demonstrated good fit indices, supporting its structural validity. By addressing the gap in integrative models that link learner attitudes, competencies, technology use, and instructional mediators to both career and well-being outcomes, this study contributes a holistic framework for understanding adolescent development in modern classrooms. Recommendations Teachers should focus on fostering STEM-positive attitudes. They can enhance for Practitioners engagement through inquiry-based methods. They should also integrate 21st-century skills into everyday classroom activities. Teacher professional development should include leadership training and technology-enhanced pedagogy. Purposeful and regulated technology integration should be prioritized to avoid negative impacts on student focus and well-being. Recommendations Future research should explore the longitudinal effects of these variables across for Researchers diverse educational contexts and age groups. Alternative indicators of academic success beyond grades should be considered. These indicators could examine how digital and thinking skills apply across different subjects. Impact on Society By identifying pathways to both academic and emotional development, the study supports policy and curriculum reforms. These reforms aimed at preparing future-ready learners capable of contributing to innovation-driven economies while maintaining adaptability. Future Research Investigations should extend to virtual or immersive environments, examine differential impacts across demographic groups, and develop standardised tools for measuring digital literacy and well-being in diverse settings. The primary objective of this study is to determine how sustainability spending can help build sustainable supply chains. This study also assesses the sustainability of five firms with respect to four dimensions; profitability, sustainability spending, risk rating, and sustainability risk management. Data was collected through unstructured interviews with biotechnology and medical technology industry personnel. Key sustainability risk factors that created a ripple effect along the supply chain were identified. The supply chain surplus and risk management strategies were evaluated. Technique for order of preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) was used to rank the firms on their sustainability and risk management practices. The critical sustainability risks identified are inventory management, logistics/ transportation, waste management, energy consumption, supplier sustainability, material handling, and plant or facility management. Findings reveal that firms investing in sustainability risk management face better prospects of developing supply chain sustainability and profitability. Copyright 2025 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

Cyanobiphenyl-based compounds are known to display RT or low melting liquid crystals in a single-component system or composites. Herein, we discuss the influence of laterally substituted groups (-CN, -F, -H) on 4-[?-(4-cyanobiphenyl-4-yloxy)alk-1-yloxy]benzonitrile. Three series of new dimers were synthesised by using 4-cyano-4-hydroxybiphenyl connected via flexible spacers with different number of carbon atoms to 4-hydroxyphthalonitrile/ 2-fluoro-4-hydroxy benzonitrile/ 4-hydroxy benzonitrile. Their self-assembly in LC phases assessed by polarising optical microscopy (POM), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and X-ray diffraction studies, and their behaviours are compared with related non-substituted (-H) model compound. UV-Visible and fluorescent experiments confirm the strong aggregation, the intensities of emission decrease as we move from CN?F?H substitutions. A representative dimer from each series covering the aspect of polarity and flexibility have been simulated using 1000 minimisation steepest descent and CHARMM force filed to examine their self-assembly. While the Indian economy grows steadily, its transformation reveals a disturbing pattern. Despite a continuing shift of labour out of agriculture, most of the employment expansion in the non-agricultural sector is concentrated within the low-income-generating informal sector. Dominant discourses consider that this prevalence of the informal sector (and informal employment in general) could be mitigated through economic growth complemented by some institutional reforms. However, our detailed observations on India show that the informal sector is expanding in tandem with the overall capitalist growth driven by the formal sector. We found that an expansion of the formal sector engenders a spread of informality along with its dual (intra-sectoral) tendencies of progression and persistence. While the formal sector-linked relatively large-sized informal firms are progressing, the vast petty-informal segment is trapped in stagnancy. This scenario calls for product-specific cluster formations involving millions of rural-urban petty informal firms. The clusters could be a collective and cohesive instrument to resist the aggressive formal sector dominated by big capital. On the other hand, the formal sector-linked advanced segment of the informal sector can be developed by inducing such linkages. Purpose: A sophisticated network of interconnected supply chains serves as the central organising principle for most of the manufacturing serving the global economy. Right from computers and vehicles to life-saving pharmaceuticals and food is made possible by the supply web. The final goods part of a supply chain may include thousands of components from various global regions. These supply chains have been refined to achieve the highest speed and efficiency. Methodology: This study includes a sample of 127 firms that have been in business for at least 15 years and are familiar with business dynamics. The authors anticipate how climate risks, common in global supply networks, will evolve over the next several decades. This study examines the vulnerability of nine commercial value chains to climatic disasters. Also, it explores company and value chain vulnerabilities, financial losses, and adaptation or strategic methods to increase resilience. Findings: Companies must plan forward in terms of locations by retaining operational facilities while running new operations in less risky places. Without change, supply networks will become unstable and dangerous shortly. Using their climate objectives, businesses must decarbonise their supply chains. Businesses should connect with suppliers longer-term. The quality and dependability of a company's suppliers affect its success and safety. Future-focussed corporations are already engaging their suppliers on health, safety, and environmental issues. Significance: The typology may be helpful to executives as they make decisions about the strategic option(s) they wish to pick to address climate change. Advances in the IoMT-enabled cloud computing and interactive applications provide a basis for reconsidering the landscape for delivery of healthcare services. Even though the IoMT-cloud-based systems monitor patients remotely, it fails to take into account the sustainability of the healthcare systems. The paper presents the integrated framework of green healthcare under the umbrella of unique technology to enhance user interactivity. Our system is user-friendly, considering scalability and performance for both patients and doctors. Patients can send their health data to the doctor in real time with the help of the wearable sensor. The educational landscape has rapidly transformed to address the growing complexities, uncertainties, and ambiguities in the world. Modern education requires teachers to impart knowledge and skills that empower students for life and societal contributions. Education systems have shifted from independent entities to integral components of larger ecosystems, as per the OECD Learning Compass 2030. Students are expected to acquire 21st-century skills, which include learning and innovation skills, life and career skills, and social and ICT skills. In commerce education, service learning is pivotal, allowing the practical application of theoretical knowledge. This engagement with both theory and practice enhances understanding. The proposed chapter outlines service-learning activities by commerce education institutions, reinforcing academic knowledge and community engagement.
