Beyond Lexical Accuracy: AI's Catastrophic Loss of Political Blood in Translating Lorde's Revolutionary Vernacular
This chapter examines how generative AI systems (ChatGPT-4o, Gemini 2.5) process the revolutionary poetics of Audre Lorde, revealing systematic patterns of grammatical standardization, affective dilution, and political neutralization. Through comparative analysis of three poems (Power, A Litany for Survival, Who Said It Was Simple) under minimal and culturally contextual prompts, the study demonstrates AI's architectural inability to preserve African American Vernacular English (AAVE), embodied metaphor, or radical tonality. These distortions-rooted in training data biases and fluency optimization-constitute epistemic violence by sanitizing texts where form enacts resistance. Findings expose limitations in developer frameworks prioritizing "harmlessness" over linguistic justice. The chapter proposes pedagogical strategies for critical AI literacy and urges redesign of systems to honor marginalized epistemologies. Sustainable Education and Economic Development: A Critique of the Kerala (India) Model
Education is essential for societys growth and economic development. From the UDHR, all international conventions, national constitutions, and enactments have prioritised education for transforming society. This became more explicit with the SDG4 (quality education). Based on the UDHR and SDG4 guidelines, India also prioritises augmenting the educational sector in its policies and programs. The national education policies provide a foundational framework for this effort. Although many researchers praise the Kerala model of education, several others sharply criticise it as not aligning with the demands of quality and job market requirements. In 2023, almost 250000 students emigrated from Kerala for educational purposes. The student emigration constitutes nearly 11.3% of the states total emigration, raising serious concerns about the quality of education. The conflict between state surveillance and the fundamental right of privacy is apparent even at the conceptual level. Synergizing Edge AI and Quantum Machine Learning for Real-Time Cyber Threat Mitigation
The escalation of the complexity of cyber threats must be countered by traditional signature- and rule- based security approaches. In this study, we propose a hybrid Edge AI-Quantum Machine Learning (QML) framework that employs variational quantum circuits and classical neural networks towards real-time per-device threat detection. Using three case studies, we validate the framework: (1) fraud detection in high frequency trading with 17% more true positives and 22% less false positives; (2) inference times under 100 ms for IoT anomaly detection; and (3) reduction of over 25% in deepfake misclassification. The built system is built end- to- end with an open- source stack. Finally, regulatory and ethical considerations (GDPR, data, privacy, international cybersecurity protocols, etc., Budapest Convention) are discussed. Military spending has increased substantially across the globe over the last few decades. The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) states that the 2024 global military expenditure accounted for almost 2.5% of the global GDP. All regions of the globe have increased their military spending regardless of the difference between developed and developing countries. The NATO members determined to increase their military spending to 5% of the GDP by 2035. It will force other nations to also engage in the battle of spending more on the military. Although the military spending is increased on the grounds of national security, it puts forward only a restrictive vision without prioritizing the people's genuine concerns, interests, and security.
