Developing a Model of Content Marketing in Creative Economy Marketing Strategies to Influence Consumer Purchase Intentions
The creative economy, which is a cluster of industries encompassing arts and crafts, audio and video, visual arts, architecture, performing arts, fashion, design, and so on, building on human creativity, knowledge, and technology, is to be given more precedence in the Indian economy. This work aims at building a model that can act as a foundation to promote the creative economys performance by keeping marketing function as the key component to success. The model contemplates what factors of content marketing activities have to be prioritized so as to help a creative business unit increase its visibility and impact the attention of consumers. This study classifies the model into two components. Component 1: creative business unit model and Component 2 of the content marketing strategy model. As the model is a working model and is not proven empirically, it can be further used by researchers and marketers for advanced research and development. Developing authentic thought leaders through the DREAMS model of social action
DREAMS is a three-year curriculum-based after-school intervention program for enhancing leadership qualities among the underprivileged and college/university youngsters. It is an innovative model providing a platform for the mentors and the mentees to share their thoughts and knowledge and create a future generation with a growth mindset. The current world is expecting authentic thought leadership among its workforces. This leadership would help the constantly changing world to guide and lead the followers effectively for a better outcome. This study explores the impact of the DREAMS intervention program by Christ University in entrenching authentic thought leadership among its undergraduates. The study employs a qualitative approach to explore the perceptions among Christ University undergraduates about the contributions the DREAMS has made to their leadership development. Development and validation of middle school under performers checklist in India through virtual platforms post-COVID-19
Education is a holistic development that must be nurtured through hybrid or virtual educational practices. The pandemic brought a sense of psychosocial distress among teenagers that urged the need to understand these psychosocial competencies. Often, our Indian education system is unable to assess the challenging psychosocial competencies of learners in varied learning platforms. Hence, there is a need in todays context to harness adolescents holistic learning to be more flexible, and interactive with innovative instructional methodologies, creative assessment strategies, and virtual resource tools. These psychosocial open learning resources need to be advocated by educators and counsellors for the well-being of teenagers. Thus, this quantitative study aimed to develop a checklist to identify the psychosocial concerns of underperformers in an open learning system. Hence, educators and counsellors must be equipped to recognise their psychosocial concerns to handhold them into becoming autonomous thinkers and contributors in their society. This would further establish the seed of sustainability. Thus, this study aimed to develop and validate a checklist as a psychometric measure to identify middle school underperformers social and personal abilities. The study group comprised 359 school educators and counsellors in Bangalore and Mashed, India (299 educators and 60 counsellors). The checklist was developed using Develop (2016) and Oldenburgs principles of scale development (2021). The Cranach coefficient of the checklist was.924 for 12 items. The statistical results indicated the validation of the checklist as a tool for identifying psychosocial challenges of eighth-grade underperformers as reliable. Exploratory Factor Analysis reduced these items into two distinctive factors. The findings suggest that the checklist can be used as an innovative educational toolkit to identify middle school underperformers personal and social abilities. Development of effective charging station for EVs using multiport converter and photovoltaic cell integration
The adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) is increasing rapidly as a response to the urgent need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and dependence on fossil fuels. However, the deployment of a reliable and cost-effective EV charging infrastructure remains a challenge. To address this challenge, this paper proposes the development of an effective charging station using multiport converter and photovoltaic cell integration. A promising approach in the transportation sector is an efficient charging station with multiport converter and photovoltaic cell integration. A multiport converter, photovoltaic cells, a battery energy storage system, and an electric vehicle charging port constitute the proposed charging station. The power flow between the photovoltaic cells, the battery energy storage system, and the electric vehicle charging port is controlled by the multiport converter. The excess energy generated by the photovoltaic cells is stored in the battery energy storage system. The proposed charging station is designed and analysed using MATLAB/Simulink. The simulation results show that the proposed charging station is capable of providing an electric vehicle a reliable and consistent power supply. Development of Internet of Things Platform and Its Application in Remote Monitoring and Control of Transformer Operation
Internet of Things platforms deployed on the system will exhibit numerous benefits such as real time monitoring, faster operation and cost effectiveness. A system oriented IoT platform is developed which features database connotation, web services, setup portal, cloud hosting, drivers or listener for programming languages and hardware devices. The functional parameters of transformer in electrical power system vary around the limit and beyond, which is observed by the IoT platform for remote analysis and to report deformation in the winding. The frequency response measurement from the transformer terminal unit is send to cloud database which is then fetched to remote application through IoT client. At remote monitoring tool, the diagnostic algorithm is executed to estimate the location and extent of deformation. IoT based frequency response analyzer and transformer diagnostic tools developed reports the status of the transformer health condition. Developmental Regulations to Conserve Catchment Area of an Urban Water Body: A Case of Upper Lake in the City of Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India
A lake reflects its catchment and provides a wide range of ecological services useful for the sustenance and betterment of human lives and other living organisms. The fast-paced developmental activities in the catchment area of lakes and over-consumption of available resources are resulting in the degradation of ecological services of the lake. The Upper Lake in Bhopal, a million-plus population city situated in the central part of India, has been selected for the study. The current regulatory regime for environmental conservation of the catchment area comprises a legislative framework and a set of regulatory institutions. Inadequacies in each accelerates environmental degradation of the Upper Lake, delays and escalates cost of developmental projects. This paper is an attempt to find out gaps in the existing institutional framework to conserve the catchment area. The present study focused on identifying and assessing major issues pertaining to the degradation of the Upper Lake, thereafter establishing a cause-and-effect relationship between anthropogenic activities and their environmental impacts. Subsequently, formulating developmental regulations forconserving theUpper Lake and its catchment area. Primarily, GIS application has been employed to delineate the catchment area of the Upper Lake by using catchment area assessment technique. Furthermore, a primary survey targeting the village stakeholders in the catchment area was conducted to analyze socio-economic profile and assess the agricultural practices adopted. Finally, formulated an institutional framework to conserve, govern and monitor the catchment area and the Upper Lake from the anthropogenic issues. Developments in Feeds in Aquaculture Sector: Contemporary Aspects
Aquaculture, one of the largest protein food generating sectors, greatly relies on nutrition. Up to the present time, the dependency of the aqua feed sector on fish meal and fish oil as protein and lipid sources, respectively, was too high, which led to its inadequacy and over-exploitation of marine resources. Recently, numerous researches with locally available feed ingredients have been accomplished. There is urgency for a move from fish meal to plant/terrestrial animal/microbial proteins within the aquaculture industry as over-exploitation of wild fishes has negative ecological consequences. Plant proteins cannot successfully replace fish meal due to poor protein digestibility and essential amino acids imbalance, urging feed concerns to search for cheaper and nutritious fish meal alternatives from animal origin. In order to overcome the indiscriminate use of antimicrobial drugs, the concept of probiotics in aquaculture has received firm encouragement in recent years due to their wise inhibitory mechanisms and safeness. Negative perception for synthetic antioxidants among fish farmers and their unreliable nature has resulted in the research for non-synthetic, food derived antioxidants that could encounter and neutralize the detrimental effects of free radicals. In line with this, there is a strong captivation to research on the individual or synergistic effects of protein hydrolysates, peptide fragments, and free amino acids that could innately exhibit antioxidative activity. Commercialization of economical feeds with antioxidative feed ingredients could strengthen the profits of feed processors. Recent development in the aquaculture sector propelled by the application of biotechnological methods has clearly highlighted the need for development of functional feeds through incorporation of bioactive molecules. In the last few decades, the global aqua feed industry has witnessed milestones in the development of feed ingredients from waste raw materials and sustainable alternatives to antibiotics and chemicals used to tackle the disease outbreak in aquaculture. As the health and immunity of fishes primarily depend on their nutritional pattern, a great research interest is extended on incorporation of biomolecules like single-cell proteins, animal proteins, plant metabolites, biopolymers, and enzymes as feed ingredients to enhance the nutritive quality and immune tolerance in fishes. Besides the focus on the feed ingredients, the modification and development of fermentation strategies for producing probioticbased feed and enzyme-assisted bioconversion into valuable feed ingredients is also gaining more importance. This chapter deals with the recent development in the aqua feed industry with specific reference to the incorporation of non-conventional feed ingredients like animal/microbial proteins, biopolymers, enzymes, and other immunostimulatory compounds in aqua feed and their impact analysis in improving the growth profile and pathogen tolerance in fishes. Diabetic retinopathy detection using convolutional neural networka study
Detection and classification of Diabetic Retinopathy (DR) is a challenging task. Automation of the detection is an active research area in image processing and machine learning. Conventional preprocessing and feature extraction methods followed by classification of a suitable classifier algorithm are the common approaches followed by DR detection. With the advancement in deep learning and the evolution of Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), conventional preprocessing and feature extraction steps are rapidly being replaced by CNN. This paper reviews some of the recent contributions in diabetic retinopathy detection using deep architectures. Further, two architectures are implemented with minor modifications. Experiments are carried out with different sample sizes, and the detection accuracies of the two architectures are compared. Diabetic Retinopathy Detection Using Various Machine Learning Algorithms
The advances in technologies have paved the way to generate huge amounts of data in a variety of forms. Machine learning techniques, accompanied by Artificial Intelligence with its challenging nature help in extracting meaningful information from such data. This will have a great impact on many sectors, such as social media analytics, construction and healthcare, etc. Computer-aided clinical decision-making plays a vital role in todays medical field. Hence, a high degree of accuracy with which machine learning algorithms can detect diabetic retinopathy is really in demand. Convolutional neural networks, a deep learning technique, have been used to recognize pathological lesions from images. Image processing and analytics methods are used and have been trained to recognize the significant complications of diabetes, which cause damage to the retina, diabetic retinopathy (DR). Though this condition does not show any symptoms in its early stages, it has to be screened, diagnosed and treated at the earliest or it may lead to blindness. Deep neural networks have proved successful in screening DR from retinal images and handling the risks that may arise due to the disease. This chapter focuses on detecting diabetic retinopathy in retinal images by using efficient image processing and deep learning techniques. It also attempts to investigate the requirements of image pre-processing techniques for diabetic retinopathy. Experiments are carried out by taking a set of retinal images and predicting the level of diabetic retinopathy on a scale of 0 to 4. Dietary Plants, Spices, and Fruits in Curbing SARS-CoV-2 Virulence
Patients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) infection can suffer from a variety of neurological disorders; therefore, there is a demand to investigate specific treatments. As a part of this endeavor, academic databases related to clinical, neuropathological, and immunological biomarkers were examined for searching promising drugs to treat neurological disorders in the COVID-19 group. Also, the neuroprotective potential of herbs for patients with post-COVID-19 has been evaluated using PubMed, MEDLINE, Scopus, EMBASE, Google Scholar, EBSCO, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, WHO database, and ClinicalTrials.gov. The terms used for the Boolean search were Indian herbs and neuroprotective potential, post-COVID-19 symptoms, and so on. Based on our knowledge, nervous system immunity is an inherent characteristic of the nervous system because it is highly immunologically active. It was found that patients infected with COVID-19 often experience neurological symptoms such as muscle pain, headaches, confusion, dizziness, and loss of smell and taste. The most commonly used herbs for neurological disorders are Bacopa monnieri, Mucuna pruriens, Withania somnifera, Acorus calamus, Phyllanthus emblica, Blumea balsamifera, Asparagus racemosus, Cannabis sativa, Convolvulus prostratus, Swertia chirata, Vitex negundo, Nyctanthes arbor-tristis Linn, Centella asiatica, Curcuma longa, Ocimum tenuiflorum. It is widely recognized that herbal drugs have the potential for treating neurological diseases such as Parkinsons, Alzheimers, and cerebrovascular diseases in COVID-19 patients. However, clinical trials are still limited. The suitability of drugs depends on the investigation of biomarkers and pathobiological mechanisms. Thus, it is necessary to use modern scientific approaches and technologies to conduct comprehensive mechanistic studies to understand the therapeutic potential of herbs for neurological disorders associated with the SARS-CoV-2 infection. Differential query execution on privacy preserving data distributed over hybrid cloud
Hybrid cloud is proposed as a solution for ensuring security and privacy for data outsourced to cloud. Hybrid cloud uses a mix of both private and public cloud with distribution of sensitive information to private cloud and insensitive information to public cloud. Though data distributed over multi storage provides enhanced security and privacy, query performance is distorted. This work proposes a privacy preserving data distribution with goal of ensuring reduced query latency for data distributed over hybrid clouds without any compromise to the security and privacy. As society and technology advance to meet Industry 4.0 requirements, the educational system has also undergone many transformative changes in the past decade. The COVID-19 pandemic has led to the proliferation of digital education and its replacement of traditional education in the educational system. The developments in artificial intelligence (AI) are indispensable in all sectors, including education. AI-integrated learning helps management, teachers, students, parents, and other stakeholders gain insight into their performance to impact the process positively. Digital educational neuropsychology: Challenges and opportunities
This chapter introduces the various facets of digital educational neuropsychology. It begins by explaining digital educational neuropsychology and the current practices in digital neuropsychology. It then explains the opportunities and the challenges faced by neuropsychology in digitization of neuropsychology education, training, assessment, and rehabilitation and how it can be improved. The challenges in the implementation of digital educational neuropsychology in terms of access and equity; validity and reliability of digital assessments; training and professional development; variability in the perceptual, motor, and cognitive demands across different devices; and the rapid changes in technology are explained elaborately. Digital Financial Inclusion: Strategic Issues and Imperatives
The present paper provides insights on digital financial inclusion. Digital financial inclusion means making financial services accessible through technology intervention, i.e. via internet, mobile network, cards, digital wallets, etc. The objective of digital financial inclusion is to bring underserved and financially excluded population under the formal banking network. As per Global Findex, Financial Inclusion (adults holding bank accounts) in India has increased from 35% in 2011 to 80% in 2017. Indeed, there has been a speedy improvement in the financial inclusion index, wherein the role of Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PJDY) launched by the Government of India in 2014 has been phenomenal. Later, in the year 2016 demonetization further accelerated the process. Despite, all these concentrated efforts and policies a large section of the population still remains unbanked. With the rise in internet and smartphone users, there will be a significant increase in digital transactions in the coming years. To achieve full financial inclusion and to make the desired benefits reach unserved population there is a need to increase financial and digital literacy among masses. Digital financial literacy and its impact on financial behaviors: A systematic review
The dependence on digital financial technologies influences financial behaviors among people. This systematic review aims to identify and understand the variables interplay between digital financial literacy and financial behavior. The systematic literature review uses the PRISMA systematic review guidelines to identify and screen the literature. The results show there is a positive significant relation between digital financial literacy and financial behaviors. It was found that there are minimal studies on the variables interplaying between digital financial literacy and financial behavior. The interplaying variables identified are financial self-efficacy, financial confidence, self-control, financial autonomy, financial capability, psychological biases and digital, financial socialization, and socio-economic and demographic factors.
