Antimagic labeling and its variations in graphs
Graph theory is a branch of discrete Mathematics with its results having significant applications in many areas of computing, social, and natural sciences. Graph labeling is one of the fascinating areas of graph theory with wide-ranging applications. The concept was first introduced in the 1960s where the vertices and edges are assigned real values or newlinesubsets of a set subject to certain conditions. The labeling dealt in the thesis is edge labeling basically, that is, assigning a label to the edges of the graph. Depending on the conditions applied in labeling give way to magic, super-magic, antimagic labelings. Hartsfield and Ringel introduced the notion of antimagic labeling in the year 1990. In this thesis, three variations in graph labeling are dealt namely, equitable antimagic labeling, equitable difference labeling and extension of equitable irregular labeling with an introduction of k-equitable irregular labeling. For a given graph G = (V,E), an equitable antimagic labeling (EAL) of G is a bijective edge-labeling f: E(G) and#8594; {1,2,3,...,m = |E(G)|} such that |W_f (u)-W_f (v)| and#8804; 1 for any pair of adjacent vertices u and v of G, where W_f (v) is the sum of the labels of the edges incident with the vertex v. A graph admitting an EAL is called an equitable antimagic graph (EAG). In Chapter 2, we initiate a study of this new edge labeling of graphs. A diand#64256;erence labeling of a graph G is realized by assigning distinct integer values to each vertex and then associating with each edge, the absolute diand#64256;erence of those values assigned to its end vertices. That is, it is an injective function f: V(G) and#8594; N together with function f^*: E(G) and#8594; N deand#64257;ned by f^* (uv)=|f(u)-f(v)|for any edge uv in G. The function f^* is called the weight function induced by f. An irregular labeling f: E(G) and#8594; N with the property that S_f (u) and#8800; S_f (v) for any two vertices u and v of G, where S_f (u) denotes the sum of the labels of the edges incident with the vertex u. The sum S_f (u) is called the vertex sum of u under f. -
Application of Hydrogel in Paddy Field for Soil Moisture Retention and Yield Optimization
Agricultural sustainability is essential to enhance food and water security, particularly in the context of climate change. To ensure food security and to protect water resources, agricultural and irrigation practices need to be amended with innovative technology that conserves water and increases productivity. In the recent past, applications of hydrogels in agriculture have received substantial attention among researchers as well as among farmers. Paddy is the core crop for the vast newlineparts of the world. The present study elaborates on various aspects of hydrogels such as classifications, ideal properties for agricultural application, analysis of soil characteristic changes for pre and post crop newlineseason, irrigation water quality analysis for crop season. BPT 5204 and NDLR 07 varities of paddy had been experimented in this study. newlineVerification of hydrogel degradation was conducted using Fourier transform infrared (ft-ir) spectroscopy. The experimental methods for determining hydrogel properties were given specific attention to properties such as swelling, retention, slow release, and degradation which are vital for agricultural sustainability. Hydrogel experiments have demonstrate significant improvement in water consumption, water use newlineefficiency, crop growth and yield parameters. The reduction in water footprint in major crops such as paddy and wheat through hydrogel might establish a shift towards sustainable irrigation practices if adopted on a large scale. Integrating innovative solutions with environmental-friendly newlinehydrogels in the coming decades will contribute to the pursuit of achieving newlinesustainable development goals. The application of hydrogel as soil conditioners was identified as a possible solution. to increase water use efficiency in irrigation and optimization of crop yield. The study points towards developing a framework for the evaluation of the suitability of hydrogel for agricultural applications when get scaled up to regional level. -
Artificial Intelligence - Based Steganography Model for Social Media Data Set
Steganography, one of the data security mechanisms under our investigation, shields legitimate messages from hackers and spies by employing data hiding. Data protection is newlinecurrently the top priority due to the signifcant advancements in information technology due to high-security concerns. Traditional techniques for maintaining data confdentiality include steganography and cryptography; the distinction is that steganography does not naturally arouse suspicion, whereas cryptography does. Traditional linguistic steganographic methods suffer from limitations in automation, accuracy, and the volume of concealed text. The robustness and undetectability properties of these approaches also require improvement. Third-party vulnerability is often too high for conventional techniques to handle. Artifcial intelligence is increasingly replacing traditional model creation in steganography. Despite the fact that steganography ensures security, information sent over online social networks (OSN) is plainly not safe. Steganography along newlinewith encryption can make a difference with regard to privacy of information in transit. newlineThe research study aims to build algorithms or models and assess steganography s robustness, security, undetectability, and embedding ability. Two distinct types of data newlineconcealing employed for investigation: text and image. The results were encouraging newlinewhen we initially tested our Laplacian model using image steganography and compared newlinewith benchmark methods. The second experiment, which is based on AI, generates the cover text using secret information, examines the security and robustness of steganography. The study compared suggested text steganography model, 3-bit data concealing, with other existing techniques in order to ascertain the undetectability factor. The frst experiment used MATLAB tools, and the second used the markovify python module, RNN (Recurrent Neural networks), and the Huffman tree. Further format-based steganography methods utilized in the following experiment. -
Artificial Intelligence Based Computational Framework for Identification and Classification of Interstitial Lung Diseases Using HRCT Images
Interstitial Lung Diseases (ILDs) refer to a wide array of respiratory disorders characterised via infection and scarring of the lung's interstitial tissue. These conditions affect the space within the air sacs, compromising the lungs' ability to expand and contract properly. ILDs manifest with a range of symptoms, including persistent cough, shortness of breath, and fatigue. Diagnosis of ILDs often involves imaging methods, mainly High-Resolution Computed Tomography (HRCT), to assess lung abnormalities. ILDs can have lasting effects on respiratory function, leading to progressive fibrosis. The primary obstacle in identifying ILDs lies in the diverse array of symptoms they present, making it challenging to distinguish them from other pulmonary disorders. The HRCT is a commonly employed method in ILD diagnosis. These images provide a detailed depiction of lung tissue, revealing its size, shape, and any notable abnormalities or changes. Moreover, HRCT plays a crucial role in monitoring disease progression over time. Deep Learning (DL) excels in detecting patterns in intricate medical images that may pose challenges for traditional methods. Moreover, DL algorithms exhibit the ability to identify subtle changes in medical images indicative of pathology, and they can automate object detection tasks. The application of DL in medical contexts can enrich the precision and rapidity of diagnoses. In this research aimed at improving the accuracy of artificial intelligence AI-based ILD identification, we harnessed the benefits of deep learning, employing full-training, Transfer Learning (TL), and ensemble voting techniques. Our approach involved the construction of three Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) from scratch for ILD detection. Additionally, we customized models named InceptionV3, VGG16, MobileNetV2, VGG19, and ResNet50 for both full-training and TL strategies. This comprehensive methodology aimed to take benefits of DL architectures to enhance the precision of ILD identification in medical imaging. Both the first dataset consisting of HRCT images and the second dataset comprising Chest X-ray were employed in our study. However, during the initial training phase of the TL models, we utilized pre-trained ImageNet weights. To enhance performance, modifications were made to the classification layers of all five models for both TL and full-training processes. To further improve training outcomes, a soft-voting ensemble approach was employed. The ensemble, combining the predictions of all three newly developed CNN models (ILDNetV1, ILDNetV2 and ILDNetV3), and ILDNetV1 achieved the highest test accuracy at 98.14%. Additionally, we incorporated machine learning (ML) models, including Logistic Regression, BayesNet, RandomForest, Multilayer Perceptron (MLP), and J48, using statistical measurements derived from HRCT images. Our study introduces a novel AI-based system for predicting ILD categories. This system demonstrated superior performance on unseen data by leveraging the results from the newly constructed CNNs, transfer learning, and ML models. This comprehensive approach holds promise for advancing ILD category prediction, providing a more robust and accurate tool for medical diagnosis and decision- making. -
Aspect Based Multi Classification for Text Mining Using Neural Attention Model
Aspect-based text classification is crucial for multi-classification in e- commerce, including diverse sectors like food, online shopping, and restaurants. Traditional research often focuses on a few classes and domains, such as restaurants or electronics, and overlooks the need to categorize sentences based on domain- specific contexts. However, e-commerce involves numerous domains that require more sophisticated classification methods. E-commerce platforms generate vast amounts of textual data, including comments, product descriptions, and customer reviews, which contain valuable information about various aspects of products or services. Since customers often research product reviews from multiple sources before purchasing, these reviews become essential user-generated content for e-commerce businesses. To address this gap, the Aspect-Based Neural Attention Model (ABNAM) was developed. ABNAM enhances classification's accuracy and comprehensiveness by considering each domain's unique characteristics. This leads to better categorization and provides more relevant insights for businesses operating across various e- commerce sectors. Experimental real-world data results demonstrate that ABNAM identifies more meaningful and coherent features. It significantly outperforms other methods by achieving higher accuracy, better recall and precision, and more robust performance across different datasets. The current research introduces an efficient and innovative sentence classification model using ABNAM. Unlike traditional automated text classification models, which struggle to categorize data into sixteen classes, ABNAM excels by leveraging technologies such as TF-IDF, N-Gram, Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN), Linear Support Vector Machines (SVM), Random Forest, and Nae Bayes. Among these methods, ABNAM achieved the highest accuracy at 97%, successfully classifying sentences into one of the sixteen categories. The research positions ABNAM as a novel and highly effective classification model, particularly in achieving high-class categorizations. -
Assessing Opportunities and Constraints of Community Engagement in Tourism Development at Hampi
Community Based Tourism will create a momentous milestone in improving the participation level of local communities in the arena of Heritage tourism as well as all the various branches of the travel and expedition industry. Whose heritage is being preserved, by whom, and for what purposes? (Shepherd 2006). This study particularly gives due emphasis on evaluating the level of participation from the resident???s part by assessing various development strategies offered by the respective authorities. The study also tries to address all the possible streams where the community can easily thrive and it also addresses the major obstacles which restricts their entry, indicating an inclusive approach towards community participation through community based tourism (CBT). Lack of cooperation among stakeholders was identified as challenges of CBT, (Tamir 2015). Tourism market of Hampi is developing year by year but the standard of living of the underprivileged community is always remains the same without any improvement and this is the core problem mentioned in the study. Quantitative research technique was used for the study with the help of a structured questionnaire which was used for collecting data. The collected data was analyzed with the help of quantitative data analysis software, SPSS. This research tries to bring out the various reasons behind the low level of community involvement in tourism industry with relevant evidence from the analyzed data. The study indicates the hopelessness of the community towards the major development strategies forwarded by the authorities especially Hampi Master Plan. It also addresses the poor level of education and lack of information about the potential of tourism employability and its scope in the field of community development. A unique relic of medieval commerce and religious faith into a lifeless ruin, (John and Michell2012) this study pinpoints the inefficiency of the tourism boards and poor functioning of other responsible authorities too. It VII also invokes the possibilities of promoting Agro-Tourism along with the existing Heritage tourism. There is enough scope for further study in the light of execution of CBT model as well as assessing the scope of Agro tourism in Hampi. This suggestion is propounded mainly because of the structural phase of the economy that is more than 70% of the working population is involved in agriculture and its allied sectors. There is a noticeable gap between the expectations of the local residents and what they are actually receiving from the authorities moreover, these entire gaps may hamper the idea of inclusive approach. If effective training and regular awareness creation program is initiated by the responsible authorities, it will create a better platform for inclusive approach. -

Economists conceived the discipline of economics to be a science of social relations. In fact they believed that social relations between individuals are moderated and regulated. The Physiocratic, Classical and Neo - classical school which firmly believed in human liberty considered this moderation to be a matter of self regulation1 and also that the laws controlling human association to be as clear as the laws of geometry. Contrary to this economists belonging to the utopian common wealth, and the Marxists school believed the same can be dealt out only through social control by the state.2 Irrespective of ones allegiance to any school of economic thought, human behaviour is central to the study of economics and to its place in knowledge structures as a social science. -
Attitude and perception of tourists in Karnataka towards Climate Change
Climate change has a strong relationship with the tourism industry. According to the United Nation's World Tourism Organization???s Davos Declaration (2007) tourism industry contributes on an average about 5% of the global Carbon di Oxide emission in terms of radioactive forcing. Studies pertaining to the state of Karnataka, India indicate that most parts of the state could experience 1.5oC to 2oC warming relative to the level during the pre-industrial period of the 1880s by as early as 2030s under the likely high emission scenario (Kelkar et al, 2004; Dwarakish et al, 2009'; Kumar et al, 2015). Travel decisions to a large extent are influenced by the destination???s images of Sun, Sand, Sea, availability of snow and perceptions of other such climatic variables such as temperature, precipitation and humidity (De Freitas, 2001). Therefore, studying tourist???s perceptions of these environmental changes are crucial for the survival of the tourism industry especially in these climate-sensitive regions (Gossling & Hall, 2006a). Besides, understanding the attitudes and perceptions of different segments of the tourists towards their role in climate change adaptation and mitigation is a fundamental step in designing educational and communication campaigns which could be successfully implemented in this industry (Becken, 2010; Gossling & Hall, 2006; Saarinen et al, 2006; Scott et al, 2008; Martin & Lopez, 2014). Therefore, this study aims to boost our understanding of the relationship between tourism and climate change issues among tourists in Karnataka, India. The study consists of five chapters, namely Introduction, Review of Literature, Report on present investigation, Results and Discussion, Summary and Conclusion. The first chapter Introduces the relationship between tourism and climate change issues and brings out the significance of the role of travel decisions the environment. The second chapter analyses earlier studies conducted on the area of climate change, environment and tourism to gain a better understanding of the existing knowledge and to identify research gaps. The third chapter focuses on the research design of this study. It covers sampling plans, questionnaire design, constructs measurement, plan of analysis and Pilot study. The fourth chapter deals with the analysis of data which were collected for the study followed by the discussion of results. The fifth chapter summarizes the entire study and explains the findings and limitations of the study, Suggestions and conclusion. -
Attitude towards the medical profession among higher secondary students in relation to medical aptitude, parental influence, peer influence and perceived social expectations
Attitude towards the Medical Profession includes concepts, motives or beliefs associated with the profession of medical science. Medical science is a profession that challenges the intellectual competency of the aspirant owing to the strenuous demands of the career. It is essential that possession of an appropriate attitude and a realistic understanding of the demands of medical science be a pre-requisite, especially if the higher secondary adolescent aspires this as his or her vocation for life. As theformation of attitude is based on several intrinsic and extrinsic factors, a profession like medical science faces stiff competition among candidates to qualify with high expectations from family and society. The current study throws light on the attitude of higher secondary students towards the profession of medical science in relation to medical aptitude, parental influence, peer influence and perceived social expectations, as the independent variables. It aimed to explore the role played by medical aptitude, parental influence, peer influence and perceived social expectations in the formation of attitude towards the medical profession and the differences in the formation of this attitude among higher secondary students based on their gender and type of pre-university college that they belonged to. The study adopted was a descriptive study-cum-survey that employed a quantitative approach using the paradigm of post-positivism. The participants for the study comprised of 396 second-year higher secondary students from pre-university colleges of Bangalore South, who were

Attitude towards the medical profession includes concepts, motives or beliefs associated with the profession of medical science. A profession that challenges the intellectual competency of the aspirant to qualify- with soaring expectations from family and society- the demands of the career entail the individual to possess an appropriate attitude and a realistic understanding of it. The current study explores the role of medical aptitude, parental influence, peer influence and perceived social expectations in the formation of attitude towards the medical profession and their differences among higher secondary students based on their gender and type of pre-university college. The study-cum-survey employed a quantitative approach using the paradigm of post-positivism. The participants comprised of 396 second-year pre-university students from colleges of Bangalore South, who were selected by convenience sampling, with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as their core subjects. The findings reveal peer influence to be essential in the development of professionalism and a sense of service mindedness. Parental influence and the higher secondary adolescent s perceived social expectations act as significant predictors in the formation of favourable attitude. However, gender and the type of pre-university colleges bear no significant difference with respect to their attitude towards the profession. The study has set a base on what needs to be focussed in our country on the next generation of medical professionals. It is hoped that educational and medical institutions, policy and curriculum drafters, parents and teachers realise that a combination of sound medical aptitude, parental influence, peer influence and perceived social expectations resonates in the formation of a favourable attitude towards medical science. Assessing those higher secondary students qualifying into medical science would enable to analyse differences that existed, if any, in their entry-level and post-qualifying attitude towards the medical profession. -
