Smart Steering Wheel for Improving Drivers Safety Using Internet of Things
Nearly 3700 people every day die on the worlds roads in collisions with trucks, cars, buses, motorcycles, bicycles, or pedestrians. The cause of accidents is drowsiness, drunk driving, breaking the speed limit, Driver health issue and rash driving. The most concept of this venture is to avoid the street mishap so we are utilizing liquor location sensor, eye flicker sensor, over speed control sensor, temperature sensor, beat sensor. To detect drowsiness, speed of the vehicle, drivers health, alcohol consumed by the driver, and rash driving status the model is installed with sensors in steering wheel and camera. The sensors will detect the physical condition of the driver and the camera module will take the live recording of the drivers face part to detect the drowsiness. Simple but effective strategies are used to improve the baseline detection/tracking algorithm and the eye-state classification algorithm, and the results are tabulated to increase the systems dependability and accuracy. 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. -
Tadpole domination number of graphs
The graph obtained by joining cycle Cm to a path Pn with a bridge is called Tadpole graph denoted by Tm,n. A subset D of V (G) is said to be a tadpole dominating set of G if D is a dominating set and the set of vertices of D spans a tadpole graph Tm,n where m ? 3, n ? 1. In this paper, we find the tadpole domination number of cartesian product of certain graphs, namely, paths, cycles and complete graphs. Also the tadpole domination number for the Mycielskian of cycles and paths is obtained. 2023 World Scientific Publishing Company. -
Kannada script recognitions from scanned book cover images
Text extraction from the images plays a vital role in providing valuable information. Text extraction from images is still a challenging area specially extracting text from regional scripts of India like Kannada, Malayalam etc. Most of the times the images contain complex background then the cropping of text becomes even more challenging for extracting features. The input image is a scanned document images of Kannada book cover which is scanned with flatbed scanner of 400dpi resolution. The data sets are created by dividing the original images into number of varied size of blocks. Both spatial and frequency features are extracted for classifying images. This paper aims at recognizing the scanned images block which contains text or not by using multiple feature approach. The classification is analysed using Multilayer perceptron, Kstar and KNN. Experiments are performed on different sets of scanned documents of text cover images. Compare to all the classifiers KNN has given the encouraging results. Research India Publications. -
Photometric identification of objects from galaxy evolution explorer survey and sloan digital sky survey
We have used Galaxy Evolution Explorer (GALEX) and Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) observations to extract seven band photometric magnitudes for over 80 000 objects in the vicinity of the North Galactic Pole. Although these had been identified as stars by the SDSS pipeline, we found through fitting with model spectral energy distributions that most were, in fact, of extragalactic origin. Only about 9 per cent of these objects turned out to be mainsequence stars and about 11 per cent were white dwarfs and red giants collectively, while galaxies and quasars contributed to the remaining 80 per cent of the data. We have classified these objects into different spectral types (for the stars) and into different galactic types (for the galaxies). As part of our fitting procedure, we derive the distance and extinction to each object and the photometric redshift towards galaxies and quasars. This method easily allows for the addition of any number of observations to cover a more diverse range of wavelengths, as well as the addition of any number of model templates. The primary objective of this work is to eventually derive a three-dimensional extinction map of the Milky Way Galaxy. 2013 The Authors Published by Oxford University Press on behalf of the Royal Astronomical Society. -

Discussion on ostracised transgender individuals and entrepreneurship through review of literature
Transgender individuals are the most deteriorated individuals in society. They face a wide range of trodden lives and setbacks in their everyday life. They encounter challenges and difficulties from the time they violate the social norms, they are also humiliated from their biological families and are sent to live a life of their own. In India, the Mughal period was termed to be the golden years for transgender individuals. It was after colonisation and implementation of the Criminal Tribes Act 1871 transgender individuals were treated brutally and eventually begging and sex work became their only source of income. Alongside, entrepreneurship proved to be a success factor as it brought the shunned women into the mainstream society. Thereby, entrepreneurship increases social capital and thus encourages transgenders in job creation activities. Despite a dire situation, there are transgender individuals who have faced all odds and have proved to set benchmarks in the society in varied fields. There are sporadic transgender individual entrepreneurs in the country who have paved their way into the entrepreneurial world, which is an important area to be explored. The study focuses on literature relating to transgender individuals, challenges faced by transgender individuals, entrepreneurial motivations and also transgender entrepreneurs. 2020 SERSC. -
Sartrean Insights on Understanding the Repercussions of Rape Trauma in the Gripping Narratives of Roxanne Gay and Neesha Arter
Women have been subjugated to violence from time immemorial. One of the most horrific forms of violence is sexual violence and rape. Their voice was not heard until the rise of second wave feminism which began around 1970. Women started to write about their experiences in the form of memoirs to bring to light the atrocities of rape and the implications of trauma and its impact. Sexual assault inflicts profound psychological and emotional wounds that give rise to a condition referred to as Rape Trauma. Rape Trauma Syndrome includes of a wide range of physical and psychological signs such as insomnia, nightmare, flashbacks, anxiety, and depression and so on and they last for a long period of time in one?s life. The research uses two memoirs written by American women, Roxanne Gay?s Hunger: A Memoir of my Body (2017) and Neesha Arter?s Controlled: The worst Night of my Life and its Aftermath (2015). The research uses Sartre?s perspective on embodiment, freedom, self to analyse rape trauma. The research uses Jean Paul Sartre?s concept to analyse the immense effects of rape trauma on the lives of the two women as documented in their memoirs. Using the framework provided by Constance L. Mui, the research delineates how rape trauma destroys the fundamental project of the protagonists and how rape trauma annihilates an individual from her own body and isolates her from the world. 2024 Sciedu Press. Statistic analysis of IPL match score and winner inning wise using machine learning algorithms
This study explains the statistical analysis of cricket match score prediction using machine learning. According to recent changes in data science and sports, the use of sports-based machine learning and data mining shows the importance of process in outcome performance and prediction. The scope of this research paper is to evaluate current measurements used in the previous work to understand the estimation the ways used to model and analyze data and characterize the variables that govern performance using statistical methods. Actually, this research article will present a reliable statistical tool for data analysis using machine learning algorithms. At present, sports organizations produce enough statistical information on every player, team, match, and season for particular related sports. The first sports researchers were thought to be experts, coaches, team managers, and analysts. Sports organizations want to do statistical analysis of player from their previous data stored on their database using different data mining and machine learning algorithms. Sports data helps coaches and managers in many ways, such as predicting results, analyzing player performance, and skills, and evaluating strategies. Forecasts help managers and organizations make decisions to win teams and competitions. The current evaluation of research shows that primary studies of data mining systems can predict outcomes and evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of each system. Statistical analyses are made for each match for result predictions. Although in many respects this application is very limited. These are prime factors which important to examine machine learning algorithms in these situations to see if the application can give the nearest results in analysis. This research aims to give solutions that will help to make predictions more accurate and precise than previous methods, using more accurate data and machine learning. 2024, Taru Publications. A Fractional Atmospheric Circulation System under the Influence of a Sliding Mode Controller
The earths surface is heated by the large-scale movement of air known as atmospheric circulation, which works in conjunction with ocean circulation. More than (Formula presented.) variables are involved in the complexity of the weather system. In this work, we analyze the dynamical behavior and chaos control of an atmospheric circulation model known as the Hadley circulation model, in the frame of Caputo and CaputoFabrizio fractional derivatives. The fundamental novelty of this paper is the application of the Caputo derivative with equal dimensionality to models that includes memory. A sliding mode controller (SMC) is developed to control chaos in this fractional-order atmospheric circulation system with uncertain dynamics. The proposed controller is applied to both commensurate and non-commensurate fractional-order systems. To demonstrate the intricacy of the models, we plot some graphs of various fractional orders with appropriate parameter values. We have observed the influence of thermal forcing on the dynamics of the system. The outcome of the analytical exercises is validated using numerical simulations. 2022 by the authors. -
Connected k-forcing sets of graphs and splitting graphs
The notion of k-forcing number of a graph was introduced by Amos et al. For a given graph G and a given subset I of the vertices of the graph G, the vertices in I are known as initially colored black vertices and the vertices in V (G) ? I are known as not initially colored black vertices or white vertices. The set I is a k-forcing set of a graph G if all vertices in G eventually colored black after applying the following color changing rule: If a black colored vertex is adjacent to at most k-white vertices, then the white vertices change to be colored black. The cardinality of a smallest k-forcing set is known as the k-forcing number Zk (G) of the graph G. If the sub graph induced by the vertices in I are connected, then I is called the connected k-forcing set. The minimum cardinality of such a set is called the connected k-forcing number of G and is denoted by Zck (G). This manuscript is intended to study the connected k-forcing number of graphs and the splitting graphs. 2020 the author(s). -
Graphs with large diameter and their two distance forcing number
For a given simple graph G = (V,E), the two distance forcing number Z2d (G) is defined as the minimum cardinality among all Z2d-sets in G. This paper examine about Z2d (G) of some graphs with large diameter. Also we determine the 2-distance forcing number of some complement graphs. 2021 the author(s). -
Two distance forcing number of a graph
Motivated from the graph parameters namely zero forcing number, k-forcing number and the connected k-forcing number, in this article, we introduce a new parameter known as the 2-distance forcing number. Assume that each vertex of a graph G = (V (G), E(G)) is colored as either white or black. Consider the set Z2d of black colored vertices of the graph G. The color change rule changes the color of a white vertex v to black if the white vertex v is the only 2-distance white neighbor of a black vertex u. The set Z2d is called a two distance forcing set of G if all vertices of the graph G will be turned black after limited applications of the color change rule. The 2-distance forcing number of G, denoted by Z2d (G), is the minimum of | Z2d | over all 2-distance forcing sets Z2d ? V (G). This manuscript is intended to study the 2-distance forcing number of some graphs. We find the exact value of the 2-distance forcing number of graphs such as the pineapple graph, gear graph, jelly fish graph, helm graph, sunflower graph, comet graph and the n-pan graph. 2020 the author(s). -

A new optimal design and analysis method based on MADM for MEMS products development
Abstract This paper presents an optimum design method to support the total micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) product/device optimization, and its evaluation at the conceptual stage itself using the multiple attribute decision making method. In the traditional MEMS product development cycle, simulation and design using software tools are very important due to the knowledge limitation and complexity in design, fabrication, and packaging processes. The available tools are time consuming and relay on trial and error to achieve an optimum solution. The proposed method simplifies the relationship between parameters of design, fabrication, materials, packaging, and the performance of the MEMS product. The methodology is explained with the help of design flow diagram and time chart. A MEMS-based radio frequency (RF) power sensor is designed and the methodology is demonstrated. The proposed sensitivity analysis method is more effective and less time consuming than traditional techniques. Sensitivity analysis is carried out by varying the thickness of the signal conductor. The results of RF power sensor with insertion loss 0.428 dB, reflection loss 25.956 and voltage standing wave ratio of 1.106 at 1.5 GHz are reported. Springer-Verlag London Limited 2012. -
Concurrent design, modeling and analysis of Microelectromechanical Systems products - Design for 'X' abilities
In this paper, we present the need for concurrent engineering in Microelectromechanical System (MEMS) device and product development. MEMS system is considered as six subsystems: micromachined element design subsystem, microelectronics circuit design subsystem, fabrication subsystem, packaging subsystem, materials subsystem and environment subsystem. Design for 'X' abilities is addressed by considering six subsystems/abilities. A concurrent model is developed using graph theory to show the interaction between subsystems. This work utilizes the advantages of the graph theoretic approach to consider all design aspects together in a single methodology with the help of a multinomial defined using matrix algebra. The design index developed using the proposed methodology shows the interaction among the subsystems and indicates whether the overall design is acceptable or not, by considering all the aspects related to micromachined element design, microelectronics circuit design, fabrication, packaging, materials, environment etc. A MEMS based RF power sensor is designed and the proposed methodology is explained. Simulated results of the RF MEMS power sensor are presented to validate the proposed methodology. A power sensor with VSWR of 1.08002 is reported. 2012 Bentham Science Publishers. -

Role of mesoporous silica supported mixed oxides of ceria and samaria for the synthesis of ?-caprolactone at room temperature
Mesoporous silica was prepared from rice husk by pyrolysis method. Mixed oxides of ceria and samaria (50/50) were disp?ersed on silica by rotavapor assisted wet impregnation method. Catalysts were further modified by doping with MoO3, La2O3 and mixed MoO3La2O3. The prepared systems were characterized by various physicochemical techniques such as BET surface area analysis, scanning electron microscopy, elemental detection analysis, transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, Thermogravimetric analysis, n-butylamine titration and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis. The catalytic activity of all the systems were studied in the oxidation of cyclohexanone to ?-caprolactone. Various parameters such as time, molar ratio of cyclohexanoneH2O2, temperature, solvent and the amount of catalyst were studied thoroughly to optimize the favorable conditions for the oxidation reaction. Higher ?-caprolactone selectivity of 88.9% was observed in the presence of hydrogen peroxide in acetonitrile medium. The recyclability tests were performed up to six cycles without any appreciable loss in activity, which confirmed the stability of the prepared systems. Good yield with high selectivity was achieved at room temperature, which makes the protocol greener. 2020, Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature. -

EXPLORING THE NEXUS: DESIGN CHARACTERISTICS OF URBAN LOCAL PUBLIC SPACES AND CHILDRENS PLAY BEHAVIOR IN BANGALORE, INDIA
Research in the field of childrens play highlights its diverse benefits on developmental requisites. Specifically, parks and playgrounds emerge as key public spaces in an urban environment, which facilitates a range of play experiences conducive to developmental processes. The main aim of the study is to examine the design characteristics of formal public spaces that influence play behavior of children and the supervision modalities in the Indian context. To achieve this objective the study investigated a park and playground in a rapidly developing neighborhood in Bangalore. Systematic observations were conducted to observe childrens play opportunities with respect to the physical environments including adult supervision modalities. The outcomes reveal that childrens play in the urban context is a supervised activity. The study demonstrates a strong correlation between the age demographics and utilization patterns of play spaces. Though affordances for functional play and rule based games were exhibited in these public spaces, the research found minimal occurrences of Constructive, Imaginative and Exploratory play. Implications for planning and design includes adopting an age-responsive approach to accommodate diverse developmental needs and preferences of children while integrating natural and manipulable materials to enhance play value of play spaces. 2024, Jomard Publishing.
