Nonlinear Dynamics in Distributed Ledger Blockchain and analysis using Statistical Perspective
More and more in healthcare is blockchain technology applied for safe and open data storage. Still, it is understudied how deeply regression analysis combined with nonlinear dynamics into distributed ledger systems performs. This kind of approach may help to increase data transfer efficiency and help storage management in blockchain systems. Data speed and storage efficiency restrictions make current blockchain systems difficult to handle for large amounts of healthcare data. Conventional methods find poor data retrieval and transfer due to the great complexity and nonlinear characteristics of healthcare data. Combining nonlinear dynamics with deep regression analysis, this paper proposes a fresh approach for maximizing data transfer and storage in blockchain systems. Inspired by nonlinear dynamics ideas, a deep regression model aimed at maximizing block storage and forecast data transmission requirements was assessed on a simulated healthcare dataset using a distributed ledger system with 1,000 blocks and a 500 GB total dataset size. Performance criteria covered transmission efficiency and storage consumption. The proposed technique improved data transmission efficiency by thirty percent over current techniques. Another clear improvement was using storage; block size needs fell 25%. The best model, according to numerical research, lowered an average transmission time from 120 to 84 minutes and storage overhead from 200 to 150 GB. 2024, International Publications. We are Treated as Outsiders in Our Own City: Lived Experiences of Intersectional Stigma Against Sex Workers in Kolkata, India
Introduction: Sex workers in India experience intersectional stigma related to their gender identity, sexuality, and profession. The objective of the present study is to analyze the lived experiences of intersectional stigma against sex workers in Kolkata. Methods: We interviewed 30 cisgender female sex workers in March 2023 in Kolkata, India. Interviews were digitally audio recorded, translated from Bengali into English, and transcribed and coded using thematic analysis. Results: We identified five main themes regarding intersectional stigma: (1) internalized stigma regarding the shame associated with being a female sex worker, (2) perceived stigma of sex work as a dirty profession, associated with lower caste status, (3) enacted stigma against sex workers who are mothers, (4) enacted stigma against the children of sex workers, and (5) reduction of stigma through unionization/labor organizing. Conclusions: Intersectional stigma against sex workersis impacted by negative attitudes regarding gender, caste status, single motherhood, and occupation. We identified internalized stigma as a source of shame for sex workers. Sex workers also were perceived to beengaged in afilthy profession, associated with lower caste status. Those sex workers who were mothers experienced discrimination, as did their children. Respondents reported how collectivization has helped to address these experiences of stigma anddiscrimination. Policy Implications: Addressing the intersectional stigma against sex workers in Kolkata necessitates a shift in social attitudes.Findings underscore the urgent need for stigma reduction interventions and socialpolicies, including (1) labor protections for sex workers, (2) individual/community-level interventions for sex workers, and (3) media campaigns to address stigma reduction. By understanding the lived experiences of sex workers, we may develop better interventions to reduce stigma in the lives of sex workers in Kolkata and throughout India. Design and development of a method for detecting sleep roll-over counts using accelerometer ADXL335
Sleep plays an important role as it helps human body to rejuvenate, boosts mental function and manage stress. Sleep is restorative function which enhances muscle growth, repairs tissues, maintains health and make physical appearance look or feel better. The lack of sleep in human body can increase the risk of diseases which are asthma, diabetes, depression. For healthy physiological function, sleep is essential and has strong relation to mental condition. Easy way of sleep management is considered for maintaining good mental health. Numerous scientists, doctors and researchers have proposed various ways to monitor sleep, some of those best tests are polysomnography test and actigraphy test. However, taking sleep test covering the whole body with wires and electrodes which is polysomnography test is uncomfortable for patients, and sensors used for different approaches like this are costly and often require overnight treatment and expert monitoring in clinics. Therefore, easy way of detecting roll-over movements which is convenient for patients to wear is proposed. Accelerometer ADXL335 sensor is taped on socks during sleep which is comfortable for patients to wear and do not cause any inconvenience during sleep. Algorithm is proposed to read the dataset and count the roll-over during the sleep based on threshold. Resulting the number of roll-over detected during a sleep period. Characterization of product cordial dragon graphs
The vertices of a graph are to be labelled with 0 or 1 such that each edge gets the label as the product of its end vertices. If the number of vertices labelled with 0's and 1's differ by at most one and if the number of edges labelled with 0's and 1's differ by at most by one, then the labelling is called product cordial labelling. Parity labeling in Signed Graphs
Let S = (G; ?) be a signed graph where G = (V;E) is a graph called the underlying graph of S and ?: E(G) ? {+; -}. Let f: V(G) ? {1, 2, ..., |V(G)|} such that ?(uv) = + if f(u) and f(v) are of same parity and ?(uv) = - if f(u) and f(v) are of opposite parity. The bijection f induces a signed graph Gf denoted as S, which is a parity signed graph. In this paper, we initiate the study of parity labeling in signed graphs. We define and find `rna' number denoted as ?-(S) for some classes of signed graphs. We also characterize some signed graphs which are parity signed graphs. Characterizations of some parity signed graphs
We describe parity labellings of signed graphs: equivalently, cuts of the underlying graph that have nearly equal sides. We characterize the bal-anced signed graphs which are parity signed graphs. We give structural characterizations of all parity signed stars, bistars, cycles, paths and com-plete bipartite graphs. The rna number of a graph is the smallest cut size that has nearly equal sides; we find this for a few classes of graphs. The author(s). -

Enhanced dielectric and supercapacitive properties of spherical like Sr doped Sm2O3@CoO triple oxide nanostructures
Integrating the hybrid nanostructures exhibiting enhanced storage and electrical properties requires tuning of composition of constituents. To address this issue, we prepared Sr2+ nanoparticles (NPs) decorated over Sm2O3@CoO nanostructures (NS) by chemical precipitation. The structure integrity of the composite was determined by analytical tools. Based on the strongest peak of X-ray diffraction (XRD), crystallite size of the nanoparticles was determined to be 26.14 nm, indicating a mixed phase of monoclinic and tetragonal crystal formation. FESEM revealed a spherical-like morphology with a homogeneous distribution of microstructures with average sizes ranging from 68 nm to 60 nm. The optical absorptivity revealed a redshift in absorption bands centred at 337.0 nm, 343.9 nm, and 353.0 nm in UV-region. The optical band gap of NS was found to be in the range of 3.38 eV to 3.15 eV, and the BET surface area of Sr15%:Sm2O3@CoO was found to be 458469 cm2/g with a corresponding pore size of 13.17 nm. All Sr-doped Sm2O3@CoO NS exhibited higher ionic conductivity and dielectric constant than undoped material. In an aqueous KOH electrolyte, the NS showed a specific capacity of 234.2C/g (65.1mAh/g) demonstrating the material as potential candidate in energy storage and dielectrics. 2022 Elsevier Ltd -
Enhanced electrical properties of CuO:CoO decorated with Sm2O3 nanostructure for high-performance supercapacitor
In the present investigation, we have synthesized samarium (Sm) nanoparticles (NPs) and anchored them onto the surface of CuO:CoO nanostructure (NS) by utilizing a simple chemical precipitation method. Nanostructures (NS) were characterized utilizing powdered X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), scanning electron spectroscopy (SEM), transmission electron spectroscopy (TEM), UVvisible spectroscopy (UVVis), and BrunauerEmmettTeller (BET) studies. Resulting Smx CuO: CoO (x = 1%, 5%, 10%, and 12%) NS were investigated for their anomalous electrical and supercapacitive behavior. NS energy storage performance was experimentally determined using cyclic voltammetry (CV), galvanostatic chargedischarge (GCD), and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). Sm10%CuO:CoO exhibited better electrochemical response than other samples and showed a maximum specific capacitance of 283.6F/g at 0.25A/g in KOH electrolyte. However, contrary to our expectation, NS displayed rectifying nature in I-V, intercalative nature in C-V, and polaronic permittivity in all concentrations of Sm2O3 doping as compared with undoped CuO:CoO NS. The outstanding properties of Smx CuO:CoO NS are attributed to the synergy of high charge mobility of Sm NPs, leading to significant variation in dielectric permittivity, currentvoltage (I-V) response, capacitancevoltage (C-V) behavior, with the formation of Sm3+ ionic cluster. The clusters lead to a change in dipole moment creating a strong local electric field. Additionally, a CR2032 type symmetric supercapacitor cell was fabricated using Sm10%CuO:CoO, which exhibited a maximum specific capacitance of 67.4F/g at 0.1A/g. The cell was also subjected to 5000 GCD cycles where it retained 96.3% Coulombic efficiency. Facile synthesis of novel SrO 0.5:MnO 0.5 bimetallic oxide nanostructure as a high-performance electrode material for supercapacitors
Perovskite bimetallic oxides as electrode material blends can be an appropriate method to enhance the supercapacitor properties. In the present research, SrO 0.5:MnO 0.5 nanostructures (NS) were synthesized by a facile co-precipitation method and calcinated at 750800C. Crystal structure of SrO 0.5:MnO 0.5 NS were characterized by X-ray diffraction, surface chemical composition and chemical bond analysis, and dispersion of SrO into MnO was confirmed by X-ray photoelectron spectral studies. Structural morphology was analyzed from scanning electron microscopy. Optical properties of SrO 0.5:MnO 0.5 NS were studied using UV-Visible spectrophotometer and SrO 0.5 and MnO 0.5 NS showed ?75nm grain, ? 64nm grain boundary distance, with two maxima at 261nm and 345nm as intensity of absorption patterns, respectively. The synthesized SrO 0.5:MnO 0.5 NS exhibited high specific capacitance of 392.8F/g at a current density of 0.1A/g. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy results indicated low resistance and very low time constant of 0.2s ?73% of the capacitance was retained after 1000 galvanostatic charge-discharge (GCD) cycles. These findings indicate that SrO 0.5:MnO 0.5 bimetallic oxide material could be a promising electrode material for electrochemical energy storage systems. The Author(s) 2022. -
Factors influencing purchase decision and brand switching in the passenger car segment in Bengaluru
This study identifies and analyses the Product Attributes of Passenger Cars and the demographic factors that influence consumer Purchase Decision and Brand Switching in the Indian context, specific to the city of Bengaluru. It discusses the existing knowledge pertaining to Passenger Cars and a conceptual framework is developed based on the review of literature. The research identifies what drives the Purchase Decision and Brand Switching for the Indian consumers and analyses how it differs based on demographic variables such as age, gender and income. Based on the model thus created, the research seeks to segment the Indian Passenger Car consumers according to the significant demographic variables thus identified. A questionnaire was administered to 200 respondents of different age, income and gender groups within the city of Bangalore. The data was then analyzed using Factor Analysis, One-way ANOVA and frequency analysis in SPSS.It was found that Quality, Aftersales Service, Safety and Price are the major value factors effecting purchase decision of Indian Passenger Car consumer. Age and income also has a significant influence of Purchase Decision and Brand Switching. It was also found that purchase intention varies between different age and income groups. Damaged Relay Station: EEG Neurofeedback Training in Isolated Bilateral Paramedian Thalamic Infarct
Stroke is a major public health concern and leads to significant disability. Bilateral thalamic infarcts are rare and can result in severe and chronic cognitive and behavioral disturbances - apathy, personality change, executive dysfunctions, and anterograde amnesia. There is a paucity of literature on neuropsychological rehabilitation in patients with bilateral thalamic infarcts. Mr. M., a 51 years old, married male, a mechanical engineer, working as a supervisor was referred for neuropsychological assessment and rehabilitation with the diagnosis of bilateral paramedian thalamic infarct after seven months of stroke. A pre-post comprehensive neuropsychological assessment of his cognition, mood, and behavior was carried out. The patient received 40 sessions of EEG-Neurofeedback Training. The results showed significant improvement in sleep, motivation, and executive functions, however, there was no significant improvement in memory. Siamese-Based Architecture for Cross-Lingual Plagiarism Detection in English-Hindi Language Pairs
The cross-lingual plagiarism detection (CLPD) is a challenging problem in natural language processing. Cross-lingual plagiarism is when a text is translated from any other language and used as it is without proper acknowledgment. Most of the existing methods provide good results for monolingual plagiarism detection, whereas the performances of existing methods for the CLPD are very limited. The reason for this is that it is difficult to represent the text from two different languages in a common semantic space. In this article, a novel Siamese architecture-based model is proposed to detect the cross-lingual plagiarism in English-Hindi language pairs. The proposed model combines the convolutional neural network (CNN) and bidirectional long short-term memory (Bi-LSTM) network to learn the semantic similarity among the cross-lingual sentences for the English-Hindi language pairs. In the proposed model, the CNN model learns the local context of words, whereas the Bi-LSTM model learns the global context of sentences in forward and backward directions. The performances of the proposed models are evaluated on the benchmark data set, that is, Microsoft paraphrase corpus, which is converted in the English-Hindi language pairs. The proposed model outperforms other models giving 67%, 72%, and 67% weighted average precision, recall, and F1-measure scores. The experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed models over the baseline models because the proposed model is very efficient in representing the cross-lingual text very efficiently. Indian Social Stock Exchange as a Funding Avenue for Social Enterprises
Purpose: The growth of Indian social enterprises faces a significant obstacle, which is a lack of access to finance. The social stock exchange was recently launched to cater to this problem. This study explored the financial challenges the selected social enterprises faced in India and analyzed the performance of small and medium enterprises platforms. Methodology: Three variables were subjected to descriptive analysis: migration to the principal board, funds generated, and listings by small and medium-sized enterprises. Furthermore, market volatility was evaluated using the generalized autoregressive conditional heteroskedasticity (GARCH) model. To explore financial constraints, primary research entailed conducting in-depth interviews utilizing the case study technique with both for-profit and non-profit social companies. Findings: The findings from the study concluded that IPO financing significantly supported Indian SMEs. Additionally, social enterprises face significant financing challenges related to affordability, availability, and regulation. Social stock exchange presents a promising solution to these constraints. Practical Implications: The study has recommended defining social enterprises legally will help in strengthening the operating framework of a social stock exchange. The study emphasized the important role of finance in the viability of social enterprises by highlighting financial challenges. The findings provided useful information for various stakeholders to bridge the funding gap, thereby promoting the potential advantages of the social stock exchange platforms. Originality: The study addressed the research gap with an examination of small and medium enterprise platforms and the influence of the social stock exchange on social enterprise financing in India. Improved Feature Selection Method for the Identification of Soil Images Using Oscillating Spider Monkey Optimization
Precision agriculture is the process that uses information and communication technology for farming and cultivation to improve overall productivity, efficient utilization of resources. Soil prediction is one of the primary phases in precision agriculture, resulting in good quality crops. In general, farmers perform the soil prediction manually. However, the efficiency of soil prediction may be enhanced by using current digital technologies. One effective way to automate soil prediction is image processing techniques in which soil images may be analyzed to determine the soil. This paper presents an efficient image analysis technique to predict the soil. For the same, a robust feature selection technique has been incorporated in the image analysis of soil images. The developed feature selection technique uses a new oscillating spider monkey optimization algorithm (OSMO) for the selection of features that are relevant and non-redundant. The new oscillating spider monkey optimization algorithm increases precision and convergence behavior by using an oscillating perturbation rate. A set of standard benchmark functions was deployed to visualize the performance of the new optimization technique (OSMO), and results were compared based on mean and standard deviation. Furthermore, the soil prediction approach is validated on a soil dataset, having seven categories. The proposed feature selection method selects the 41% relevant features, which provide the highest accuracy of 82.25% with 2.85% increase. 2013 IEEE. -
Implementing Quality Healthcare Strategies for Improving Service Delivery at Private Hospitals in India
Healthcare is becoming the largest growing sector of India because of its huge coverage, providing services and investment by public and private players. In India growth of private hospitals have totally changed the scenario of health care delivery. This study explores the effectiveness of the strategies to provide quality health care and thereby improving the service delivery in Private Hospitals. In total 122 responses were collected after administering the questionnaires. The findings of this study reveals that quality health care strategies has positive impact on service delivery. Quality health care strategies showed a different kind of associations with three measures of quality namely structure, process and outcome measures. The implications from the study provides the need of multifaceted approach for implementing quality improvement strategies and adoption of the model for the same. This study recommends a blend of quality improvement programs with increased ICT (Information and Communication Technology) applications for enhancing the turnaround time. Further study can be conducted on other healthcare quality dimensions and strategic interventions that can enhance the quality of health care and clinical outcomes in Private Hospitals in India. 2017 Indian Institute of Health Management Research. -
Comprehensive study of the relationship between multiverse and big data
Studies linking two broader spectra of topics have fascinated scholars in many aspects. Here we tried associating two such far-reaching aspects which have finite connectivity between them. Multiverse has been the talk of the hour which explains the theory of multiple universes which exist in parallel. This is a topic in physics concerned with many relative matters. On the other side, Big data is the subject in computing and information science describing the volume, velocity, and variability of the data hitting computer-connected systems. Big data can only be handled with newer architectures, algorithms, and methodologies as its features are contradicting regular computer systems and networks. It is well known that multiple processors are required to handle big data existing in parallel performing a single job given by the data analyst. So as we know, multiverse consist of hypothetical concepts of several parallel universe having everything like information, energy, and time. However, we see this situation to draw an association connecting parallel universes of the multiverse with parallel processors of big data by incorporating the concepts of working of parallel universe in the processing of Big Data. We provide a comprehensive observation on both the topics and take positive lenience on bringing a newer terminology in data science. History of multiverse along with big data structures are brought in with related parameters. This aspect is novel in its nature and we complement the literature carried out by the researchers and scholars appropriate analysis. Recommender system for surplus stock clearance
Accumulation of the stock had been a major concern for retail shop owners. Surplus stock could be minimized if the system could continuously monitor the accumulated stock and recommend those which require clearance. Recommender Systems computes the data, shadowing the manual work and give efficient recommendations to overcome stock accumulation, creating space for new stock for sale to enhance the profit in business. An intelligent recommender system was built that could work with the data and help the shop owners to overcome the issue of surplus stock in a remarkable way. An item-item collaborative filtering technique with Pearson similarity metric was used to draw the similarity between the items and accordingly give recommendations. The results obtained on the dataset highlighted the top-N items using the Pearson similarity and the Cosine similarity. The items having the highest rank had the highest accumulation and required attention to be cleared. The comparison is drawn for the precision and recall obtained by the similarity metrics used. The evaluation of the existing work was done using precision and recall, where the precision obtained was remarkable, while the recall has the scope of increment but in turn, it would reduce the value of precision.
