A Survey on Arrhythmia Disease Detection Using Deep Learning Methods
The Cardiovascular conditions are now one of the foremost common impacts on human health. Report from WHO, says that in India 45% of deaths are caused due to heart diseases. So, heart disease detection has more importance. Manual auscultation was used to diagnose cardiovascular problems just a few years ago. Nowadays computer-assisted technologies are used to identify diseases. Accurate detection of the disease can make recovery simpler, more effective, and less expensive. In this proposed work, 11years of research works on arrhythmia detection using deep learning are integrated. Moreover, here presents a comprehensive evaluation of recent deep learning-based approaches for detecting heart disease. There are a number of review papers accessible that focus on traditional methods for detecting cardiac disease. This article addresses some essential approaches for categorizing ECG signal images into desired classes, such as pre-processing, feature extraction, feature selection, and classification. Performance evaluation of diesel engine using genetic algorithm
?Abstract: Engine analysis and optimization is not a new approach to the field of automobiles. It has always been a keen focus in the research of experts domestically as well as internationally, the control of Air-Fuel Ratio (AFR) in transient operating conditions of engine. For the last few decades, the industry and economic expansion of developed countries has showed a clean increase in the vehicle production as well as transport volume. Global warming, acid rain, greenhouse effect and air pollution problems related to emission of CO2, NOx, PM, CO and unburned HC, together with the consumption of fossil fuels, unite to create serious problems at a global level. Therefore it is a research study considering all these current issues and taking it to a new level of optimization for the output of a better efficiency, better economy and less pollution. Nurses' perception about Human Resource Management system and prosocial organisational behaviour: Mediating role of job efficacy
Aims: To examine the relationship between nurses' perception about human resource management system and prosocial organisational behaviour through job efficacy. Background: Literature suggests that non-profit organisations are often confronted with financial constraints on one side and the expectation of delivering high-quality services on the other. Employees voluntarily engaging in service-oriented behaviours help to bridge this gap to some extent, and human resource management system plays a significant role in eliciting the requisite behaviours. In this article, the case of nurses from non-profit hospitals has been undertaken to examine the aspects of human resource management system that needs focus while promoting prosocial organisational behaviours among the nurses for ensuring better service delivery. Method: Cross-sectional design was employed. Data were collected from 387 nurses working in non-profit hospitals in India through questionnaires and were analysed with the help of structural equation modelling. Findings: In the absence of sophisticated human resource system in non-profit hospitals, the study found that nurses' perception about human resource management system is positively related to prosocial organisational behaviours, and job efficacy partially mediates the relationship. Conclusion: Positive perceptions such as involvement with the job and communication as well as supervisors' support are essential human resource practices for fostering self-efficacy and, thus, improving prosocial organisational behaviour of nurses working in non-profit hospitals. Implication for Nursing Management: Non-profit hospitals should focus on nurses' participation and supervisory support, which would provide a better human touch approach to patient care and also improve service quality. The findings shed light on the nursing management of non-profit hospitals in terms of human resource management that has to be given much attention for institutionalizing prosocial organisational behaviour. 2021 John Wiley & Sons Ltd -
High-Speed Parity Number Detection Algorithm inRNS Based onAkushsky Core Function
The Residue Number System is widely used in cryptography, digital signal processing, image processing systems and other areas where high-performance computation is required. One of the computationally expensive operations in the Residue Number System is the parity detection of a number. This paper presents a high-speed algorithm for parity detection of numbers in Residue Number System based on Akushsky core function. The proposed approach for parity detection reduces the average time by 20.39% compared to the algorithm based on the Chinese Remainder Theorem. A Bibliometric Analysis of Asset Allocation for Retirement
Allocation of investment assets is key in attaining a sustainable retirement portfolio. In this research article, the authors analyzed the most recent research publications in the area related to asset allocation for retirement and identified those which have the highest impact. The authors research was conducted using the bibliometric analysis technique of research articles collected from the Scopus database. Most of the research articles were published in reputed journals in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, and Germany. It was also observed that most of the highly cited research articles in the research area of asset allocation for retirement are focused on financial literacy, increase in retirement age, aging, and pension reforms. The authors findings identified six research themes in asset allocation for retirement such as 1) asset allocation for retirement planning, 2) methods to increase efficiency, 3) investment preferences for retirement savings 4) financial literacy and retirement planning, 5) reforms on retirement savings, and 6) annuities for retirement income. Furthermore, nineteen future research directions are also provided. In conclusion, the authors aim to assist future researchers in identifying highly cited articles, key authors, contributing countries and research themes in asset allocation for retirement. Through education Gandhi helped those who had Kings dream to connect the dream with the vision to deal with the awful reality of injustice and helped to make the world a better place. 10-camphor sulfonic acid: A simple and efficient organocatalyst to access anti-SARS-COV-2 Benzoxanthene derivatives
10-Camphor sulfonic acid (10-CSA) has gained popularity as an organocatalyst due to its broad range of solubility and user-friendliness. Affordable multicomponent reactions (MCRs) for the preparation of benzoxanthenes (4a-4 h) (5a-5i) are presented in this work. Extensive investigations and records have been conducted on the diverse biological features exhibited by xanthenes and benzoxanthenones, such as their antiviral, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory capabilities.Using ?-naphthol, dimedone, and aldehydes, we demonstrate a cost-effective and environmentally friendly catalytic method. Under ideal circumstances, the 10-CSA catalyzes one-pot reaction, procuring impressive amounts of benzoanthenes (8595 %). All the synthesized compounds were characterized by 1H NMR and 13C NMR. A wide variety of suitable chemicals, simple work-up procedures, and solvent-free synthesis outperforms numerous existing methods for procuring biologically relevant benzoxanthene derivatives are some of the interesting features of this organocatalyzed bronsted acid process. Therefore this synthesis is industrially inevitable. Furthermore, computational studies such as molecular docking and ADMET data analysis were performed on a number of the synthesized benzoxanthene molecules. This has led to the identification of the most potent synthetic against the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein. Additionally, to mimic how medicinal compounds interact to target proteins, computational docking and dynamics techniques were used. These studies showed that, in terms of binding affinity and other crucial traits, 4a, 4b, and 5a are potential possibilities. Overall, the current study should be of great help in the development of benzoxanthene analogs which can be potential drugs for treatment of COVID-19. 2024 Elsevier B.V. -
Prediction of ground water quality in western regions of Tamilnadu using LSTM network
Assessing and safeguarding groundwater quality is critical for sustaining life in water-scarce regions like western Tamil Nadu. The motivation behind this study stems from the pressing need to address water quality challenges in a region grappling with scarcity. Despite existing efforts, a notable research gap exists in predictive tools that comprehensively capture the nuanced temporal variations and trends in groundwater quality. This is where the LSTM network steps in, showcasing exceptional accuracy in short-term predictions and discerning long-term trends. This research uses Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks, a variant of recurrent neural networks, to predict groundwater quality in South Indian Regions, especially in Tamil Nadu. Extensive data, encompassing parameters such as pH, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, and various chemical constituents, were gathered over an extended timeframe. The LSTM model was then trained on this historical dataset, factoring in temporal dependencies and seasonality inherent in groundwater quality data. The validation process rigorously tests the LSTM model against actual groundwater quality measurements. The results were impressive, as the model demonstrated a remarkable ability to unravel the complex variations in groundwater quality. 2024 Elsevier B.V. -
Studies on the antifungal activity of biotemplated gold nanoparticles over Candida albicans
Green synthesis and applications of gold nanoparticles are more fascinating research area due to their unique optical properties and high X-ray attenuation power. In this study, we have synthesized gold nanoparticles of uniform size (5 nm) with spherical shape. UVvis spectroscopy, Transmission Electron Microscopy and Atomic Force Microscopy were employed to characterize the synthesized gold nanoparticles. The biomedical applications of the synthesized gold nanoparticles were carried out against most prevalent human fungal pathogen, Candida albicans. Broth micro dilution assay was used to determine minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC). We observed that 0. 5 mM concentration was effective in inhibiting the growth of fungal cells which was later confirmed by spot assay. 2019 Elsevier Ltd -
Evaluation of Wound Healing Effect of Curcumin Loaded OPL Carbon Nanospheres Embedded Chitosan Membranes
Biowaste-derived carbon biomaterial scaffolds are being used for wound healing and are the focus of interest. Carbon nanospheres derived from oil palm leaves without any catalysts via pyrolysis were loaded with a traditional drug curcumin. The wound healing scaffolds were fabricated on the PP non-woven fabric support using chitosan as the biopolymer matrix. Prepared carbon nanospheres and the scaffolds were characterized using ATR-IR and FESEM techniques. The wettability of scaffolds was examined to ensure the feasible moisture absorption ability, in vitro drug release profile and in vitro antibacterial activity against two strains of bacteria. The in vivo wound healing feature of scaffolds was studied by excision wound model for MRSA infected wound. Measured wound contraction percentage and the bacterial count on wounds at regular time intervals proved that, the scaffold dressed with chitosan and curcumin loaded carbon nanospheres showed an efficient reconstruction of skin through histopathological investigations. 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature. -

A Pragmatic Study on Movie Recommender Systems Using Hybrid Collaborative Filtering
The Movie Recommendation System (MRS) is part of a comprehensive class of recommendation systems, which categorizes information to predict user preferences. The sum of movies is increasing tremendously day by day, and a reliable recommender system should be developed to increase the user satisfaction. Most of the approaches are made to prevent cold-start, first-rater drawbacks, and gray sheep user problems, nevertheless, in order to recommend the related items, various methods are available in the literature. Firstly, content-based method has some drawbacks like data of similar user could not be achieved, and what category of these items the user likes or dislikes are also not known. Secondly, this paper discusses about collaborative filtering to find both user and item attributes that have been considered. Reproductive health vs overall well-being: systematic review of studies on women migration and health care utilization
Purpose: Sustainable development goals (SDGs) recognize the importance and interrelation between health and migration. Women migration and health is well researched, yet less attention is paid to their healthcare utilization, especially with regard to overall health and well-being. This paper aims to highlight the gap in the existing literature on health care utilization by women migrants. Design/methodology/approach: A systematic review was carried out following the PRISMA guideline. For the review, the literature was taken from three electronic databases, which were Springer Link, Taylor and Francis and PubMed. From a total of 1,575 studies, seven studies cleared the eligibility screening. Findings: Of seven studies, five were found to focus on the sexual and reproductive health of the women migrants than their general health and well-being, and less attention is paid to health promotion and illness prevention beyond reproductive and sexual health. While, studies on general health have focused on the influence of health status on health care utilization and the influence of health insurance in health care utilization. The review has revealed the disparities faced by migrant women in different countries while seeking health care. Originality/value: Studies on women migration and health care utilization have largely focused on the reproductive and sexual health needs of women, and this overemphasis often undermines their accessibility and affordability to overall health and well-being. Therefore, the present study has moved away from the concept of sexual and reproductive health tot that of overall health and well-being of women migrants. 2021, Emerald Publishing Limited. -

Interactions of Environmental Pollutant Aromatic Amines With Photo Excited States of Thiophene Substituted 1,3,4-Oxadiazole Derivative: Fluorescence Quenching Studies
In the present work, the fluorescence quenching of novel thiophene substituted1,3,4-oxadiazole derivative 2-(4-(4-vinylphenyl) phenyl)-5-(5-(4-vinylphenyl)thiophen-2-yl)-1,3,4-oxadiazole (TSO) by five different environmental pollutant aromatic amine derivatives like 2,4-dimethylaniline, 3-chloroaniline, 4-chloroaniline, o-anisidine, and m-toluidine has been studied at room temperature through steady-state and time-resolved methods. It is observed that, the quenching efficiency is highest in the case of o-anisidine and least in the case of 3-chloroaniline. The fluorescence quenching mechanism between TSO and aromatic amines is analysed through different quenching models. The results suggest that, the fluorescence quenching is due to diffusion assisted dynamic or collisional quenching according to the sphere of action static quenching model and according to the finite sink approximation model, the bimolecular quenching reactions are due to the collective effect of dynamic and static quenching. Further, cyclic voltammetry and DFT studies suggest that the fluorescence quenching is due to electron transfer. Dynamics of Sutterby fluid flow due to a spinning stretching disk with non-Fourier/Fick heat and mass flux models
The magnetohydrodynamic Sutterby fluid flow instigated by a spinning stretchable disk is modeled in this study. The Stefan blowing and heat and mass flux aspects are incorporated in the thermal phenomenon. The conventional models for heat and mass flux, i.e., Fourier and Fick models, are modified using the Cattaneo-Christov (CC) model for the more accurate modeling of the process. The boundary layer equations that govern this problem are solved using the apt similarity variables. The subsequent system of equations is tackled by the Runge-Kutta-Fehlberg (RKF) scheme. The graphical visualizations of the results are discussed with the physical significance. The rates of mass and heat transmission are evaluated for the augmentation in the pertinent parameters. The Stefan blowing leads to more species diffusion which in turn increases the concentration field of the fluid. The external magnetism is observed to decrease the velocity field. Also, more thermal relaxation leads to a lower thermal field which is due to the increased time required to transfer the heat among fluid particles. The heat transport is enhanced by the stretching of the rotating disk. 2021, Shanghai University. -
Optimized heat transport in Marangoni boundary layer flow of a magneto nanomaterial driven by an exponential interfacial temperature distribution
In a small boundary layer of the fluid interface, the temperature distribution deviates from being linear with the spatial coordinate and exhibits an exponential form. Hence, the Marangoni convective flow of a nanoliquid driven by an exponential interfacial temperature distribution is modeled in this study. Due to practical applicability, the working fluid is chosen to be ethylene glycol-based magnesium oxide nanoliquid, which is modeled using experimentally estimated properties. In the system, the external effects of an inclined magnetism, thermal radiation, and an internal heat source are considered. Heat transport is rigorously analyzed using an empirical model, which is estimated using the robust response surface methodology (RSM) to find the optimal working conditions and to estimate the sensitivity. The modeled problem is simulated numerically using the finite difference-based scheme and a parametric analysis is conducted to study the effect of magnetic field, inclination of magnetic field, radiation, and internal heat source parameters. The internal heat generation (increase of 0.94%) factor dominates the augmentation in the thermal field but at some distance, the thermal radiation factor has a predominant impact (58.99%). The inclination angle of the magnetic field has a prominent decremental impact on the velocity profile. Also, the radiative heat flux enhances the temperature profile. Optimal working conditions are estimated to be with a magnetic inclination of 10 and using a liquid with 0.25% volume fraction of 100 nm.
