Synthesis of UWB Pulse Shaper for Efficient Pulse Propagation in Human Tissue
In this paper, a filter based pulse shaper is proposed for efficient Ultra-wideband (UWB) pulse transmission through human tissues. A bandpass Finite Impulse Response (FIR) filter is synthesized and its closed form expression for the impulse response coefficients is obtained. The filter shapes the basic UWB pulse, to closely fit the desired Federal Communication Commission (FCC) mask specifications, to achieve high spectral utilization efficiency. In this approach, the effects due to Gibb's phenomenon are minimized thereby resulting in lower dominant sidelobe of the resultant UWB pulse. The interference between adjacent pulses of the UWB data stream is minimized thus it allows shorter duration UWB pulses to be synthesized leading to higher data rate transmission compared to some techniques in literature. 2020 IEEE. -
Ideal co-secure domination in graphs
A set S ? V of a graph G = (V, E) is a co-secure dominating set if for every u ? S, there exists v ? V \ S such that uv ? E and (S \ {u}) ? {v} is a dominating set of G. The minimum cardinality of a co-secure dominating set of G is the co-secure domination number and is denoted by ?cs(G). In this paper we initiate the evaluation of a domination parameter known as the ideal co-secure domination and is defined as follows: A set D ? V is an ideal co-secure dominating set of a graph G = (V, E) if for every u ? D and for every v ? V \ D such that uv ? E, (D \ {u}) ? {v} is a dominating set of G. The minimum cardinality of an ideal co-secure dominating set of G is the ideal co-secure domination number and is denoted by ?ics(G). We look to determine the ideal co-secure domination number of some families of standard graphs and obtain sharp bounds. We also provide the conditions necessary for the trees to have ideal co-secure domination number equal to n - 2. 2020 Author(s). -
On some properties of partial dominating sets
A subset of the vertex set of a graph is a dominating set of the graph if that subset and all the adjacent vertices of that subset form the whole of the vertex set. In case, if a subset and all the adjacent vertices of that subset form part of the whole set, say, for 0 < p < 1, ptimes of the whole vertex set, we say it is a partial domination. In this paper, we explore some of the properties of partial dominating sets with respect to particular values of p. 2020 Author(s). -

Similarity Analysis for Citation Recommendation System using Binary Encoded Data
Citations are a crucial part of an academic dissertation, project or scientific work. The most time-consuming task for any scholar is to find suitable citations for any work. Thus, a convenient citation recommendation system provides completeness and fulfillment for citing the giants' works. Moreover, attaining high quality for any citation recommendation system is challenging as it should not only recommend relevant papers but also should match the context of the paper. An advanced algorithm SABED (Similarity Analysis using Binary Encoded Data) has been proposed that converts text metadata of the article like author name, doi of the paper, keywords, abstract and content of the paper into the binary format and is fired into the database. The binary formatted query fired fetches the accurate matches thereby increasing the accuracy of search probability and similarity analysis. This similarity analysis can be further used to provide recommendations to the users. The proposed system concentrates on the similarity of the content and hence the context of the papers is not taken into consideration. 2020 IEEE. -

The unmanned cryogenic nitrogen plants operated by the industrial gas companies globally have their unique set of Reliability, Availability and Maintainability challenges. A generic reliability model of a typical unmanned cryogenic nitrogen plant is presented in this research work along with standby cryogenic storage System. The standby system is analysed for sensing and switching device as well as for load sharing system. The complexities of unmanned cryogenic nitrogen plant under repair with standby system are analysed using Markov method. A Markovian model has been developed for two different configurations: Configuration-1: Cryogenic nitrogen plant with gas and liquid production, nitrogen plant with only gas production and its dependence on the standby cryogenic storage system and to overall system reliability. Configuration-2: Considering cryogenic nitrogen plant is under repair and the standby system with external supply component under operation without failure and the system reliability of the configurations are solved by solving the set of differential equations and the solutions are presented in this paper. 2020 Author(s). -

Blast resistance of steel plate shear walls designed for seismic loading
Since a blast loading or explosion can create nonlinear wave action and impact pressure on a structure, it necessary to construct a structure to resist blast loading as like other loads. In this study the nonlinear behaviour of a blast loading is simulated by calculating the pressure diagram with respect to time under the guidance of IS 4991-1968, code for "Criteria for Blast Resistant Design of Structures for Explosions above Ground". The study carried out for different charge weight (100kg TNT, 200kg TNT and 400kg TNT) and standoff distances of 20metre. Nonlinear behaviour of a Blast loading to steel structures with shear plates of thickness 6 mm, 8 mm and 10 mm are modelled in ETABS and the analysis is carried out to obtain base shear, story displacement, story deformation pattern, column forces, etc. Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd. -
Multilevel Quantum Inspired Fractional Order Ant Colony Optimization for Automatic Clustering of Hyperspectral Images
Hyperspectral images contain a wide variety of information, varying from relatively large regions to smaller manmade buildings, roads and others. Automatic clustering of various regions in such images is a tedious task. A multilevel quantum inspired fractional order ant colony optimization algorithm is proposed in this paper for automatic clustering of hyperspectral images. Application of fractional order pheromone updation technique in the proposed algorithm produces more accurate results. Moreover, the quantum inspired version of the algorithm produces results faster than its classical counterpart. A new band fusion technique, applying principal component analysis and adaptive subspace decomposition, is successfully proposed for the pre-processing of hyperspectral images. Score Function is used as the fitness function and K-Harmonic Means is used to determine the clusters. The proposed algorithm is implemented on the Xuzhou HYSPEX dataset and compared with classical Ant Colony Optimization and fractional order Ant Colony Optimization algorithms. Furthermore, the performance of each method is validated by peak signal-to-noise ratio which clearly indicates better segmentation in the proposed algorithm. The Kruskal-Wallis test is also conducted along with box plot, which establishes that the proposed algorithm performs better when compared with other algorithms. 2020 IEEE. -
Stress strain characteristics of reinforced hollow concrete block masonry melded with mesh reinforcement
Plain Masonry similar to unreinforced concrete, is resilient in compression and weak in tension. Masonry gains strength with age similar to concrete. Inspite of these resemblances, there exist numerous differences between masonry and concrete. The major difference is the regular pattern of horizontal joints(known as bed joints) at specific intervals along the height of walls introduce due to the method of construction of masonry. These bed joints make masonry a direction dependent material possessing orthotropic properties, unlike concrete which is usually regarded as isotropic atleast in the elastic range. Mechanical properties such as compressive strength, tensile strength, flexural strength are a pre-requisite as part of the design of masonry walls. The present study deals with the experimental study to evaluate the mechanical properties of hollow concrete block masonry specimens for varying cement mortar proportions melded with mesh reinforcement at bed joints. Parameters such as compressive strength, modulus of elasticity, failure pattern have been studied and compared for reinforced and unreinforced hollow concrete block prisms. The study showed higher compressive strength and improved elastic modulus for specimens with higher grade of mortar Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd. -
On interval valued fuzzy graphs associated with a finite group
We associate a particular type of interval-valued fuzzy graph(IVFG) called interval-valued fuzzy identity graph(IVFIG) with every finite group and study its various properties. We show that IVFIG associated with a finite group is not unique. We also show that every IVFIG associated with a finite group is a strong IVFG. It does not contain any feeble or weak arcs. Further, it is strongly connected. We prove that the IVFIG associated with a finite group in which every element is self inversed is an interval-valued fuzzy tree and the IVFIG of Zn (n is odd) under addition modulo n is the disjoint union of interval-valued fuzzy cycles. 2020 Author(s). -

A model for analyzing the sustainability performance in educational institutions
During the past two decades innumerable international initiatives have emphasized that education is an imperative for societies to become more sustainable. Sustainable development is the current context in which higher education must begin to focus its action plans. But the present system heavily relies on archaic models which reduce learning and action to reductionist thinking and mechanistic interpretation. Campus sustainability is receiving growing attention and has become a well-established study field, even though campus sustainability itself has not become a reality yet in most universities. The paper then validates a pre-existing model using multiple regression models. The results validated the proposed model. A sustainability index could be developed for the education sector in future using this conceptual framework. The educational institutions can use the sustainability index to analyze their sustainability performance and take the necessary steps for achieving the same. This paper is an initial step in this direction which could be researched further to measure the sustainability performance in the education system. Grenze Scientific Society, 2020. -
Some characterizations of Gallai graphs
Gallai graph of a graph G is a graph whose vertices are the edges of G and the adjacency of the vertices depends on whether they are part of a triangle or not in G. We find some forbidden subgraph characterization of graphs for which Gallai graph is either a trivially perfect graph or a 3-sun-free graph or an interval graph. 2020 Author(s). -

Directional wireless Sensor Network (DSN) outperforms Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) over different parameters such as transmission range, interference, spatial reusability and energy efficiency. In this paper, a Rectangular Patch antenna Array (RPA) based sectored antenna is proposed for DSN. The individual sector is composed of two-element rectangular patch antenna array with a measured peak gain of 5.2 dBi and half-power beamwidth of 45. Single Pole 8 Throw (SP8T) Radio Frequency (RF) switchboard is designed to connect the sectored antenna to MICAz WSN mote. The antenna performance analysis carried out in simulation and real-time measurement via Ansys High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS) and Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) exhibits higher gain, lower return loss, half-power beamwidth and Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR). 2020 IEEE. -
Cloud based ERP Model using Optimized Load Balancer
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Cloud computing are turning out to be increasingly more significant in the field of Information Technology (IT) furthermore, Communication. These are two distinct segments of current data frameworks, and there are a few inside and out examinations about Enterprise Resource Planning on cloud computing framework. ERP frameworks are related with a few issues, for example, shared synchronization of multi-composed assets, constrained customization, massive overhauling cost, arrangement mix, industry usefulness, reinforcement support and innovation refreshes. These issues render ERP frameworks execution excruciating, complex and time-devouring and create the need for a huge change in ERP structure to upgrade ERP frameworks foundation and usefulness. Cloud Computing (CC) stages can defeat ERP frameworks inconsistencies with financially savvy, redid and profoundly accessible figuring assets. The objective of this examination is to blend ERP and CC benefits to lessen the factor of consumption cost and execution delays through a proposed system. For this reason, investigate the unmistakable issues in current ERP frameworks through a complete correlation between ERP when moving to CC condition. Also, a conventional structure is proposed for 'Cloud-based ERP frameworks'. 2020 IEEE. -
Mental Health Data Analysis Using Cloud
In health care related research studies, there exists a need for retrieving patient's health record from multiple sites. So here comes the digitization of health records, which leads to a wide range of access to various users such as doctors, patients, psychiatrists and pharmacists. The sensitive nature of individual health care data pose a threat to security. Moreover, the increased access of health information by the users threatens the privacy and confidentiality of the stored data. Notwithstanding the existing privacy protection approaches used for mental health records, we suggest a privacy preserving data analysis methodology enabling protection of health records, once user access to records are granted. This paper mainly focuses on utilizing the data analysis approach in preserving privacy of personal health records to overcome the drawbacks of existing approaches. 2020 IEEE. -
Enhancement of efficiency of military cloud computing using lanchester model
Cloud computing is a technology that uses centrally processed computing resources over the Internet by a large number of users. Because many requests are concentrated on cloud servers, they must be properly distributed to avoid degradation of quality. Load balancing categorizes requests from users according to established algorithms and assigns appropriate virtual machines. Because load balancing algorithms are developed according to the cloud's usage environment, various algorithms are being utilized. Recently, government agencies are also interested in introducing cloud technologies beyond private sectors. Many militaries have selected Cloud as its basic task to apply new technologies such as AI to military operations. However, there is no precedent for military cloud development, and the lack of doud technology research considering the operational environment has delayed the progress of cloud adoption. The algorithm presented by this paper makes the combat power, which varies according to the importance of the operation, an important variable. This variable makes each user's access to computing resources different. Although similar to other dynamic algorithms, the impact of priorities is so big that the degree of imbalance between tasks was higher. 2020 IEEE. -
